I called to activate my phone using a boost card the man who answered was very very helpful. He took his time explaining exactly what he needed and how I could get the information so he could turn on my phone. He remained positive throughout the entire call and even made small talk while waiting for the for the results to go through. 10/10 service someone i want to handle my technical issues in the future.
They do not have the phones they sell in stock to ship out within a good time frame! It takes them at least a week to even ship, even though they took the money from my account! What the heck? Phone service is good. Their customer service people suck too, even supposed supervicer. What the heck. Phones bought and paid for in total or payment they have for them should be able to ship within 24 hours for a big company like them. Seems like they have to order it, then ship to the custer!
I have been with the company for years. I have been having manufacturer issues with my phone so i decided to take steps to upgrade my phone. However this is impossible through boost. I have been to each store in my area trying to get help with this process but instead they have no stock and just push you off to the next person or website. As i proceed to website to place order of course i run into problems. I finally get ahold of a agent who actually seemed to help get my order placed but two days later i find out Myself my order was canceled. After several phone calls to figure out why but actually No reason my order canceled they did absolutely nothing with all my troubles and actually agreed that i should go to another company. So now not only do I have to figure out who I should move my service to, I still have not accomplished getting a phone after weeks of trys.
As I work in customer service I am just in shock how a company can treat a loyal customer n just not care for a resolution. Why advertise Phones if really your not able to get one. Gotta do better, smh.

Phone and service
3 weeks ago, my teenage daughter informed me that she had run out of data for the month -- meaning no more mobile data or MMS messages. I went to the Boost Mobile website and purchased the 1GB AddOn so it would continue to work; the purchase went through, but the data wasn't applied to her plan.
We've contacted Customer Support on 5 different occasions and spent more than 4 hours on the phone, but no one has been able to help (ticket #*******). We've been told the ticket has been escalated, but other than that answers are hard to come by.
Unfortunately, things got worse today. As part of the troubleshooting process, they sent us a new SIM card. We connected with support, had the IMEI and ICCID added to the account, inserted the new SIM, and now her phone can't receive calls or SMS messages either.
I understand that technical glitches happen and can be difficult to resolve -- I write computer code for a living. But it's been THREE weeks. This past weekend, she missed out on an activity with friends because MMS messages won't load. And tonight she started a new job, but left her phone here with me as I try to find someone who can help.
Our family of 4 signed up for the 12-Month Unlimited Talk & Text +1GB plan in July, so we're in it to the tune of $400. I'm not interested in a refund -- I'd rather that the service worked -- but if we can't get the phone to work, a refund might be in order?
From the moment I switched to Boost has been a nightmare. Their call quality is horrendous and cuts in & out all time. Their data service is the worst ever. It lags when it works, but for the most part doesn't work half the time. Their customer service is by far the worst part of Boost's services. They don't communicate with one another when transferring you to a 'tech' support operator, so your repeating the same information over to someone new every time they transfer you... And that's after being on the phone with them for 2 hours already. Their LIVE representatives are only live for certain hours of they day and they keep you on hold for extensive amounts of time so that when they don't fix your problems, they schedule a callback in 48 to 72 hours because everyone has logged out of their systems and unavailable. So if you have an issue of no data connection, they troubleshoot you to the point of ABSOLUTELY NO PHONE SERVICE AT ALL. I switched to Boost because I wanted to unlimited data with hotspot. My mistake!
I will NEVER recommend BOOST MOBILE to anyone and will be switching my service to a different provider as soon as possible.
I have had nothing but problems with their service quality since day one of switching to them.
If your looking for a good service provider, I do recommend Metro PCS by T-Mobile. I always had good experiences with them and regret ever changing services.
The photo I attached has been the the screen of my phone for near 3 hours at the time I write this post. I can't even go to my home screen anymore since they began "TROUBLE SHOOTING".
Then went to change companies and boost wouldn't unlock it after paying for it in full
Phone was onl good if used with boost moblie
And it was a fairly expensive phone
It says unlimited everything but you don't get unlimited everything and the service is garbage I had to call them at least once a month
The song says they're open at 11:00 it's after 12:00 and they are still not open so it's easy to give them a bad rating
I made a double payment back in January I called Boost told them to cancel the credit card payment and made a payment with my debt card on Monday they sent me a text stating that I needed to make a payment before my device got shut down. On Tuesday I I couldn't make a phone call or receive a phone they shut my phone completely down and made my number inactive, I called them they said I ha a charge back and I need to make a payment and they need to talk to my credit card company I told them I have proof that this was taken care of from my bank and the credit card company they said they see the payment but I need to make a 50.00 payment which I did and my service won't be back on for 24-72hours. Today is 96 hours and I still don't have service and they said there is nothing they can do for me. This phone is how I work how when Im home my only way to call the ambulance for my handicapped son and they keep saying they can't help me and they wont credit me for the loss of service which is there fault. And no one has a Manager and you can't get in touch with anyone at head quarters. I was a fool for going back to this silly $#*! Service.
Boost mobile is trash and you're better off putting your money towards a different carrier. Verizon has plans that are essentially the same monthly price and they actually have literate customer service representatives. I just spoke with an agent through the BM chat online asking 1. WHY I'm getting constant phone calls/text messages about a sim card and 2. My iPhone doesn't take sim cards, so should I expect my service to be interrupted and I swear to God this "agent" "Christian" could not comprehend what I was saying. He didn't answer either of my questions and COULD NOT, for the life of him, understand that iPhones can't take sim cards, yet he still was telling me that he could mail me a sim card and that I would need to insert it at the top of the phone. I have LITERALLY not dealt with such an idiotic human being like that in any customer service department. This past year I have absolutely HATED boost mobile. The service has been trash, the ENDLESS amount of automated text messages/emails/and NOW PHONE CALLS have been way too excessive and I've contacted CS multiple times about deleting my contact info from these automated lists and I still get them. It's almost harassing at this point. Whoever owns this company, shame on you, seriously.
Verizon has a plan for the same monthly price of $50 that I'm paying now for the same coverage. I'm going to pay off the last of my phone installments and get FAR away from boost mobile.
IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING TO USE BOOST DONT DO IT! Besides having the worst customer service their service is terrible! Since they no longer use sprint towers getting a signal is next to impossible!
Sevice sucks. Thats all. No stars. Oh i had no
Choice but to give a star because it wont submit. Sad face
This is coming from a customer of 5-6 years. 1.) The new customer deals seem enticing, but they treat their new customers better than their old customers. By this, I mean the only people getting deals on phones and plans are brand new customers, so after that first purchase, you're sucked into their network, and don't expect any upgrade deals because those are non-existent. 2.) Their customer service is awful. I had to have a Boost Mobile employee tell me about how to get around their automated answering machine, and you have to press 0 multiple times until you literally get left on hold for 5 minutes, and then you get service. When I finally got ahold of someone, the worker did his job well and was polite, but the entire process is exhausting and it Boost seems to try to avoid real human contact at all costs. 3.) The actual service of cellular reception is trash. I never have service in some areas, even my own home and in town some places. I also have bad wifi, so having to guess which is worse that day in order to load a single web page is more than frustrating. Which leads me into 4.) It's overpriced. You heard me. They used to be reasonably priced for their quality of service, but since their rates went up, it's barely cheaper than a company like T-Mobile, who has much better service. How cheap they used to be was their selling point, and was the reason why I hopped on their train in the first place. Now they have no selling point that could convince me to stay. 5.) Good luck getting a third-party sold phone into the equation. Boost is more than picky about what phones they allow to work with their service, so if you find a great deal on a phone or want to buy a used phone, you're out of luck if it's not from boost. This is actually the last straw that is making me write this review.
If that isn't enough, I have no idea what you're looking for in a phone company, but Boost surely won't have it.
They don't give you a full amount to pay, there is a lot of hidden fees. I don't recommend their services

Data and calls
UPDATE: Sep 18,2022: After weeks waiting for a refund, they refuse it because "it is out of our 14 day window", even though they spent about a month trying to get my phone number ported in with NO SUCCESS. If you want to throw away money on a cell phone company, this is the one.
August 6th... trying to port-in my line from US Mobile. Within a day I cannot receive calls, receive texts or end texts, just can only make calls and use data. Contacted Boost more times I have fingers on both hands and assures me they will fix it. I even spend 1 hour on the telephone-different phone line, with a 3-way call; me, US Mobile and Boost and no solution. Well, I gave up last night and contacted US Mobile and reinstated my phone line with them-they had it back up and running in minutes. I contacted Boost mobile last night to get me a new number, since that one is now back to US Mobile. Boost Mobile "assure that we will have it changed in 5 minutes". Well, that was the same story from 3 different people last night and another person this morning. I think it probably takes about 100x or more with customer service at Boost Mobile before anything correctly happens. WORST MOBILE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. If you have friends, NEVER refer them to Boost, you will lose your friendship later.
I been a customer 20 years plus. The customer service and loyalty appreciation can't be beat. Upgrades every 4 months are unbeatable. Boost mobile is great and its because of the agents of the company well representing and make boost overall easily on a level on its own. The representative helping me at 7 pm even though she was already supposed to be off helped me get what I needed and was patient even though I had to call the bank even using her personal number for a way to let me be capable of verifying my card to make the purchase. If it wasn't for her professionalism and ability to cater to someone who needed help but was too late and she made sure she went above and beyond to remind me that boost never fails and customers are always leaving and deep down know they will return because such great service is just routine compared to any other phone company
I left my old phone because I was in a rush so I will return to get it tomorrow and I hope the representative helping me is there so I can thank her for proving I'm never wrong thinking that I'll be with boost for life. I was at 1627 mermaid at 7pm on august 27. I hope my that employee gets recognized for her excellent representation of a prototypical sales representative I'd want to market my product
I spent double and because of the informative comparison of the choices and the representative explained what deals are available and how to earn future perks. 10/5 stars is a understatement, unquestionably going above and beyond should be never overlooked but I took my time to review because not saying anything is a crime for someone you know is off work but never ever said anything until I noticed she was leaving after I had no more concerns or needs.

They're unlimited data is a lie. The minute u use your 35 GB of high-speed. U nolonger have internet
To hard to reach anyone plus they dont want to give you your account number i will never use this comapy again stay away from it.
0 stars is appropriate. Do not activate the new SIM card unless you have a phone that Boost is currently selling on their site. Why? Because then your phone is not compatible with the new network and once the SIM card is linked you are screwed because they cannot go back and revert to your old SIM. As in your phone will never work again with boost, promise, Galaxy S8 is NOT supported!. Mind you I was sent the SIM in the mail, I received multiple texts and emails reminding me to call and update and the letter I received says "This offer is applicable to the number ending in ****" (which is my number) And their resolution is buy a new phone and guess what their punch line is?! We have a new service that will allow you to purchase your new phone on a monthly payment plan. I have been with boost for 5+ years and I am no longer a customer as of today. There will be no compensation for them screwing up your phone btw. They "escalated" my issue with a turn around of 48-72 hours. I called them back 12 hours later from when my "escalation" occurred and demanded that they admit that the CSR made a mistake when they did not confirm what phone I had before trying to update the SIM and basically that I did my own research and I know now my phone is not compatible. And then, they finally confirmed and admitted their error and boom! No more escalation needed. They did not even mention my escalation again after that point in the conversation. So they knew as soon as my SIM did not work that they messed up and then tried to cover it up by trying to make me wait 3 days while they researched and there was never going to be a fix. Oh and then they will not give you your account number over the phone because guess what? We cannot send you verification messages anymore since we screwed up your phone's network so now you will need to go to a store to retrieve that information. But they can have you continue to trouble shoot for hours and have you verify your PIN, access and update your account, change your billing information but they cannot give you that number. This sounds like a joke right? Absolutely ridiculous!
I've been with Boost Mobile since 2003 until
Current my Coolpad phone work great no issues until drop the phone shattered the screen thinking to myself no problem I have insurance I contacted boots in regards to my phone pay $30 deductible on the new phone and it is trash contacting boost about drop calls can I call out no signal just a terrible waste of money in regards of this new phone was told in order to get another phone had to pay a $50 deductible I'm like what wait a minute I'm already paid you $30 deductible I'm not understanding the agent on the other line just continue to say do you want a claim or not yes you're going to pay $50 it doesn't matter that you pay $30 do you want to file the claim or not all of this took place in less than 30 days ago and nothing
Nothing was resolved. Cant resolve any issues can't speak with anyone that can speak clear correct English try to escalate this situation by following proper protocol an speaking with someone higher up and still no results customer service horrible the level of disrespect I cannot believe I lost my $30 still without a phone it does not work properly fact that I had to Resort to transferring my phone number to another phone that's not even with Boost Mobile which poses another problem I was charged $50 to make his phone work with my old number that's a total of $90 now if anybody ever went through Boost you know that the phones that they give you for free when you start up a plan is about $90 I would have been better off just purchasing another full crap phone and this company is supposed to be a better company for prepaid services wow
Tip for consumers:
Don't use boost as your phone carrier they find was to get your money and keep it

A old phone from another company just transferred my number to that phone ironic boost charge me for doing that my phone my number and I still was charged
Do NOT buy a cell phone directly from Boost Mobile! Despite being a NON-contract service company, they have a HIDDEN contract on their cell phones. They don't tell you that any phone you buy from them is LOCKED until you pay them for 12 months of service on the SAME phone and SAME phone number. (So yeah, DON'T change your number either or the clock starts over). NOwhere during the phone buying process did I see anything about the phone being locked for 12 months. I paid over $500 outright for a Samsung phone in March, but since I telework and hardly use the phone I wanted to move to Mint Mobile for $15 month. Boost refused to unlock my phone even though I had been a customer for several YEARS already. The supervisor also tried to LIE and say that FCC made the 12 month rule, which is pure nonsense! They basically took one customer who thought highly of them and MIGHT have come back some day, and made that person an enemy and now I will let everyone know about what happened. This in and of itself is proof of poor customer service, when they could have unlocked my phone but instead decided to upset a customer. It's not like I got a huge deal on a cell phone. I bought from Boost because I thought it would be safer than Amazon, not because I saved a bunch of money and owed them for the savings.
Tip for consumers:
You can use their service but do NOT buy a phone from them.

I bought a Samsung phone from them, paid in FULL, but was not informed of the 12 month service obligation. They refused to unlock the phone by referencing a hidden contract rule (even though their service is NON-contract) and even though I have actually been a customer for years.
I had a phone with Vigin Mobile and lioved Virgin mobile. I was with Virgin for 5 yrs and in December of 2019, I bought a new phone, paid in full. In late January 2020 we were informed that Boost would be taking over Virgin Mobile and would honor our same program and phone with Virgin. My phone broke in March of 2020 and I had insurance on my phone. A refurbished phone was sent to me that I still had to pay $50 for. I thought they were sending me a new. Phone. I am disappointed in Boost Mobile sevice and would like to switch my phone. I can't they locked it and according to the phone service I tried to switch to the phone may have been reported lost or stolen. I contacted BBB to resolve the problem. Boost admitted to the fact even if they unlock the phone it may not be used some where else and it may have been reported as lost or stolen.and technically not switchable. This phone type is new in 2019 so fits capabilities to be unlocked.and moved. Boost makes it so you need to buy a new phone if you switch companies. Please don't switch to them!
The app goes down for days on end. Automated customer service offers no help or advice why it's not working
Boost mobile suck. They have dumb $#*! lying reps and the service is straight bull$#*!. Any one working for boost can suck my $#*! and should die
