An "essential service" should include service. It should also demonstrate that its employees or "service providers" know the procedures and requirements of their jobs. I have spent my morning in the most mindless run-around with the parcel collection service at this location—only to discover that Canada Post's policies and procedures, as they are provided online, are entirely contrary to what I was told in-person, before I was turned away without my package or any suggestion of assistance. This location is a good example why I refuse to use Canada Post when given any other alternative, and frankly one of the worst ways to move any product between destinations in Canada. I have never been given reason to believe Canada Post offers any accountability for their shoddy and dismissive standards; but I would discourage anyone else who may try to do so.
Since last month Canada Post are sending envelopes back and keeping the money you paid for the service that was not completed. I've have been sending envelopes to USA with only paper inside (cards, decals, paper embellishment) paying $3.19 for a regular shipping. Now they said that I must send this as a Small Packet and the rate is $9.51. Seriously?
They refused to refund the amount paid for the returned envelopes. Is it fair?
Unless you have to send out of country I recommend never using Canada post it's not worth it nothing ever shows up on time they are by far the worst shipping service in the country. Expedited states 4 days always will be a week can order same thing with Purolator or FedEx it will be there tomorrow or the next day I don't know what this garbage company is doing but it's definitely not there job.
I pay for delivery they don't deliver...lazy union workers...indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Consumers complaining about Canada Post CA most frequently mention customer service problems.Canada Post CA ranks low service
Canada Post, a tax-payer-subsidized organization is falling down on the job yet again. My elderly friend (in another province) is unable to get to the post office to send a parcel, and the post office is unable to suggest an alternative. Even adding a stamp and sending it to the recipient with the balance of postage payment due (to be paid by the receiver) is not an option. The long-time mismanaged government agency is revealing its shortcomings one more time in refusing to consider options or even pay attention to this issue which will - of course - become increasingly prevalent as our population ages.
I was trying to wait all day for this package and it never showed up in the time they said it would be delivered, they left a note telling me to pick it up at a facility the next day.
I'm disabled so now this one parcel is going to cost me a cab ride there and back, I wanted them to know my experience so I made a support ticket and explained what happened. My ticket was closed without any warning.
Shipped item with Canada post…
Shipped item with Canada post recommended box for Canada wide delivery to ship to Sanikiluaq Health Center PO Box145 Sanikiluaq, Nunavut X0A0W0.
February 17.2024 with delivery date of February 27-28. Person at post office was amazing. Now it's March 2 and no sign of delivery or status of where the package is. Zero reason as to what might have happened to package or whereabouts of the package. Ridiculous customer service. Who makes decisions in this organisation. It's a shame really! If you can't track an item with a tracking number what else can be expected!
With the competition today, Canada post has no chance of survival with this kind of incompetencies.

The outlet at Arline's gifts in king Edward mall vancouver is a disgrace. A new owner took over and since then service and Courtesy has great be out of the window. I am ending what was a 30 year relationship. Step up Canada Post and make sure your outlets do their job.
I am very hesitant to purchase online with stores that use Canada Post as their delivery means. 4 out 5 times the items do not get delivered when they are supposed to. Canada Post I have one piece of advice, Get with the times or you are going to end up like Revlon.
It is sad to read the online accounts of how PostCanada employees no longer ring people's doorbells, and simply leave notice forms in boxes—they don't even try to make a delivery. My latest postal person rings my buzzer but then leaves and comes back an hour or so later. I complained to the local bureau twice, but she still does it. She said that it is a way of letting me know that she will be making a delivery. I have a debilitating spine disease, and I am in pain most of the time, so it's a nightmare to have to run upstairs when my buzzer rings and no one is there. I don't know who is up there, so I have to go look…she's obviously a quack…passive aggressive, maybe both.
