Capital One has to be one of the most unhelpful banks I have ever dealt with and I have other banks I bank with as well. Their mobile deposits serve no purpose because it NEVER seems to capture pictures correctly for deposits. They'll hold a check longer than the actually day they "say" they will. Deposited a check and they're holding it for almost 5 days due to a holiday. After it said it would be available the same day. (A payroll check I deposit every other Friday) Customer service serves no purpose because they never seem to be able to help/assist with ANYTHING! Let's not get me started on their credit cards. I'm closing out my debit cards and I'm going to do the same with my credit cards. I'll just have to take a hit on my credit score. Because Capital One ain't it and it becomes very stressful/frustrating being a customer for over 10 years having to deal with poor customer service. It's not worth my sanity or peace
First of all, an Interest rate of 30% is a disgrace! They are not flexible at all and recite from a book like mind numbed robots. After paying my balance in full, I immediately closed the card. I had previously asked for help in paying the card and their answer was to give me 3 months of reversed late fees if necessary. Unreal! I cannot blame them for my balance but I can say that they, unlike other banks out there, have zero flexibility. You are better off with no credit at all than to use capital one.
Stay away from this company "Capital One"! I use their credit card to make a purchase, then the statement came and I pay the full balance on time before the due date. Guess what?! Next statement period came and these SOB hit me with an interest charge! I called customer service, she told that since interest accrued daily so even if I payoff the full balance before the due date there's still going to be interest! Can you freaking believe this sh--?! In other words, if you plan on used their credit card to make any purchases at all, then get ready to pay some interest no matter what. So stay away from this fraudulent bank!
Capital One took over my previous credit card I obtained from a wholesale club. My APR with them prior was 12%. When Capital One took over, it raised me to 20.4%! Asked for reduction based on excellent payment history. I was told they don't do that, a 3rd party does! What? Makes zero sense. Aid they use credit bureaus and that APR could go up again without notice. The highest APR is 30%! You have to check your statement to see if you're APR changes. Can't wait to pay it off, these people are criminal.
Had a credit card for years. Always paid my monthly balance, I have great credit rating. They only gave me 5000 limit. Twice I asked for a small increase and was denied. No reason given except they say we don't do things that way. What kind of customer service is that, I mean who works for who anyway?
My granddaughter lost her Money debit card, 4 transfer's 3 different countries and 20+ minutes! So frustrating, to the point that I need to find a new bank! You can't understand these reps, they talk over you and don't listen!
I had a purchase return of $2,700 credited to my account 2 weeks before the payment due date. They refused to deduct the credit from my payment and told me I would have to wait until the next billing cycle. This is illegal according to consumer banking regulations.
I have car Loan with them for 7 yrs, never done anything on the site, keep paying till the car is paid off. And i have fought with them every week for 3 months just to take Lien out of my tittle. Thank you for those " amazing and smart" telephone employees and back team staffs or what ever they call. They dont donw how to do it when it come to electronic tittle of Florida. Bought in Maryland and move to Florida. Tittle was changed 5 years ago but they freaking not know.
I would not recommend or trust this company any more.
Dealing with a Capital One "customer service" person is the most frustrating thing you will ever do in your life. It took over 4 hours on the phone with them to get my credit card activated. Save yourself the aggravation and go elsewhere.
I just realized today that Capital One is guilty of false advertisement and bait & switch. They advertise offers that claim allowances for balance transfers, but they don't actually allow it at all (NEVER customer initiated like other cc providers) during the life of an open account. You have to receive an "offer to transfer" after their underwriters "review" your account. There are no specific times and customers have no idea when transfer offers are available. The customer cannot initiate this action on their own. Further, they do not allow customers to make payments on their accounts using another credit card. This is my first time using cc's, so I'm not sure if their practices are industry standard. Either way, this is one of the reasons why I've stayed away from using these plastic traps for so long. Trickery at its worst! Big mistake on my end... never again!
Answer: No really I can't I mean from the very beginning they said they mailed it and then a week later when I called and they had not mailed it yet when I checked my bank they take the money out of my bank and then tell me they're going to hold the money for 7 days to make sure the money is there I think they take the customers for granted in a big bad way
Answer: From my experience, they appear to be nothing but a shady scam bank.
Answer: They offered nice rewards back It sounded more impressive than it is. Big mistake.
Answer: This is the same issue I'm having with Capital One. They make mistakes and then drag their feet and act like nothing is wrong.
