When items are returned a few days late, they will not refund or ship items back to you items that you have already paid for NOR will they contact you that this is being done. They state it is their policy and it does not matter the circumstances (post office, etc.) that made it late. BEWARE! I will never shop with them in the future and I have shopped with them for 20 plus years.
I purchased a pair of slip on jeans earlier this year and it took 3 months to get them. I realized when I finally got them that they weren't actually quite what I wanted and since you lose so much money returning them and decided to order another pair of the one I liked online. That was in the middle of June. As soon as I ordered them I got an email saying they were backordered until the end of October. Ridiculous, but I really wanted them. Today, 3 months after I ordered, I received an email saying they cancelled my order because my bank had dropped the pending order because it had been sitting there so long! I then called to ask "what on earth" and asked if I could go ahead and reorder and they said sure. I asked if I would I still get it in Oct, NO, IT IS ON BACKORDER UNTIL THE END OF DEC. WORST COMPANY EVER. Of course I told them to forget it.
Quality has gone down, and i have received the wrong items on my passed 4 orders, and can't reorder cause they just happen to be out of my item. Now I just notice I'm going to have a hole in my jeans and I can't return them cause I've worn them for 3 hrs now. Now I can't say I wouldn't order from them again but they are the last place I look for something
I used to be a loyal customer and went to their stores any time I could. I even went so far as to get their store card, and I never get store cards. Their clothing was comfortable and I liked it. Then they closed down all their stores and went to online only and it went from being a good experience to profoundly horrific.
Your order will take months, if it arrives at all. And when you ask, you get the same answer "It's coming". Or "It's shipped".
And when you try to call and politely ask what's going on, you get treated like you're garbage. I worked call centers for years, so I'm always doing my best to be polite to call center workers, but this person was VERY impolite. She even swore at me and told me to just "deal with it" and hung up on me. When I called again, I got another very rude customer service rep and so I said "May I please speak with your supervisor?" She said NO and hung up.
If they still had their physical stores, I would simply deal with them, but at this point, I've cut ties with Catherines and I highly recommend all their customers doing the same and going to other stores such as Torrid. Shame, it was a good product, too.
Called my order in using catalog I received this morning. Nine colors of knit jeans were shown. One and one color only was available from the catalog I RECEIVED TODAY! Asian lady taking my order was very hard to understand and was pushy and tried repeatedly to sell me items I did not want! She and others laughed at me. I politely asked to speak to her supervisor, hoping to get someone in the U.S, and she hung up. Disgusting!
I made a purchase on 4/18/23 for two items. Upon reviewing the high shipping fee I called to cancel my order. Also I thought I would get a discount on my first order which I did not. When I asked the CSR for a confirmation number for the cancellation I was told I didn't need one because the order hadn't shipped. She told me it would be back on my account in three days. My credit still has not shown up. I have talked to about eight people saying different things or transferring me to someone else or giving me another number to call. The last lady I spoke to said the cancellation was approved but on hold. She could not tell me what the hold was for just keep repeating the same inane thing. Catherine"s your customer service and automated system is just awful and outdated. Now I'm headed to cancel this card. I would have given 0 stars if I could have.
I googled the Indigo Convertible Mule it came up $50.30 at Catherine's. I attempted to check out said item and was unable to apply the discount (caespecial). I called the toll free number and I spoke with a yng lady who told me tht I ws nit entitled to the discount bc said item ws on back order and it would not apply bc I wanted a 9w instead of a regular 9m. So I went back into my bag and put a 9m (in Stocked) into the bag. Again, I tried to used the discount and it came up $53.99. I asked wht happened to the $50.39. I explained tht the website say $50.39. I wanted the item tht cost $50.39. She placed on hold someone made the correction on the www.Nancy the Mgr gets on the line and tells me she would not HONOR the $50.39 and was not authorized to make such adjustments. She ws a bit ABRASIVE. NEEDLESS to say I will not be purchasing from this Company EVER AGAIN! CATHERINE'S DO BETTER! This debacle started on 4/22/2023
I ordered 6 items on 4/12/23 I was invoiced for 16,95 shipping but was charged 27.45 shipping
But worse the entire order was not what I ordered and customer service to correct this was rude and unprofessional
I was told I had to return the items I did Not order to an Ulta store for a so called happy return. Just not to be believed but true.
Problem was that all the 6 items are on on my order but not the ones returned. Cause it is someone else's order
then I requested a refund and was told it could take 10 days. Who knows this is an on going dysfunction with Catherine's.
So awful I will never again buy from this unprofessional business with stupid and rude customer service

I have NEVER been so tempted to curse, so close to losing my temper & want to reach through the phone (I always laughed at people that got that mad). Apparently Catherine's no longer cares about maintaining a repeat customer base.
I placed an order to Catherine's. This company made haste taking my money but never delivered my order!
Told me they were going to take care of my problem once I sent in a police report stating I didn't receive my clothing. I sent in two affidavits and a police report and I tried calling to find out what was going on and they blocked me! Used a friend's phone and they told me the case was closed and I owed the money? Now why should I pay for something that I did not receive? This was during the Christmas season and I know a lot of people who had items stoled that were delivered.Told me I had too many issues reported? I only had one? HOW disrespectful to block me after@ 40 YEARS as a loyal customer!ll I will NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH CATHERINE'S, for those who do,I would use a mailbox so you don't have to go through all that I did!
Wife bought a dress, did not like it and when returning will lose nearly 50%. They are not friendly to Canada and make you pay to return. Better to not buy from Catherines and go to Amazon. Would give zero stars. If there was an award for worst return procedure they would win.
I started an exchange online and told I would be charge the same price for the same item in a difference size, however I was charge full price for items, when I called they just passed the buck about 10 times ended up calling the bank. Will close account and never order from them again
This company is horrible and don't care about customer service at all. I placed an order of 4 pieces of clothing on Dec. 28. They charged my credit card the same day. It took them several weeks to send 3 of the 4 items. They shipped the fourth item (a simple tee) 2 MONTHS after the order was placed and then sent an email saying it had been delivered. I NEVER received it. Called them to get a replacement tee and was told that I have to fill out an affidavit and return it by snail mail. After they receive the affidavit it will take up to 2 months to return my money for the item not delivered. When I asked them to send me a replacement tee I was told that they could but they'd have to charge my card again. Absolutely ridiculous! I've been a good customer over the years, spent hundreds of dollars, never claimed to have not received anything but now they want to screw me over for a $20 tee.
I purchased a wool coat which totaled $154.00. They said it was delivered but I never received it. When I contacted customer service they kept giving the run around. Worst experience ever and I never received my order nor did I get a refund. Do not buy from this company. They are not honest!
Unethical! Everything about my experience rates zero stars. I haven't ever had such mismanaged and rude customer service. I was never allowed to speak, as they incorrectly assumed to know what I needed. They spoke over me and I just gave up. I guess that's what they strive for and I do wish each of them lots of luck in their job search when this company ceases to exist.
Also, the fees charged are so astronomical and unethical that I would never order from here again. The shipping fees are so high, mostly resulting from the 7 (yes, 7) catalogs added to each package, and I do not want even one of them. You pay about $11 - $14 or more just for shipping only 1 item when you order and an additional $10.97 EACH item if you have to return anything. The return shipping label is a mere joke and serves as another money stealing scheme. You could go to FedEx, UPS, or wherever and pay significantly less. In the end, I paid $132 and received a $65 refund. Do not order from Catherine's! I certainly won't!
My daughter found a pair of shoes there. I ordered them in evening. Tried to cancel order in the morning. Very rude lady answered. Couldn't cancel hadn't even shipped 8 hours later.
My wife placed her first order for 2 swim suits that didn't fit, so she and returned them. The credit was $36.65 less than the purchase price. She then placed a second order for a larger size and they didn't fit either. Upon returning the second order, a credit was received, and this time, the credit was $48.34 less than the cost of the merchandise. Bottom line, it costs her a total of $84.99 and she has nothing to show for it. Upon calling in for a detailed explanation on the large credit shortages, it was explained that the shipping cost is determined by dollar amount of the merchandise, plus handling and sales tax. Taxes are taxes, but the shipping costs are outrageous! Customer service said there was nothing they could do other than post my/her recorded phone call on our account. LESSON LEARNED AND NEVER AGAIN!
