I'm so confused on why Cheap Caribbean is getting such a low rating. We have booked so many times with no issues. Many different resorts, many did destinations. All great easy experiences. Most importantly you can't beat the pricing. Trust me we've looked all around. Try it. You won't regret it!
My mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer two weeks after we booked a trip with Cheap Caribbean so we had to try and change or cancel our trip. No option to change and no refund option, spent $4,00 on the trip and received $1,200 in future credits. If you have other booking options, I suggest using another provider, what an awful experience during difficult time. Do better Cheap Caribbean.
I have never had a worse customer service experience in my entire life. Our trip had to be cancelled due to COVID 19. We were given a credit and rebooked for December when COVID began to spread rapid again and it was highly recommended that we stay away from our destination. We wanted to reschedule but had no idea what was going to happen with COVID. The customer service agent gave us a credit and told us all we needed to do was book the trip before December 2021- I very specifically asked if we'd be able to book for 2022 because I am a teacher and the February and spring breaks would be best as the Christmas break trips were way more expensive than our credit was. He told me that was absolutely fine we'd be able to travel in 2022. Fast forward to November I called to book a trip for February break. They tell me I need to book and travel before December 14 2021. I explained what I had been told earlier and they said there was most likely nothing they could do. I tried to work with him and research trips that we could squeeze in between Christmas and New Years but they are all insanely more expensive than our credit is. I asked if I could go about getting a refund and was told it was not possible. This is the only company that I've seen not give out refunds due to the pandemic. Every single person I spoke with gave me different information. I would absolutely never book a trip with this company again and I highly suggest that nobody else does either. I lost thousands of dollars due to customer service agents not knowing how to do their job and a company that has no interest in helping their customers.
If I could give ZERO STARS, I would. I booked a trip back in MARCH... 3 months later, nobody is returning emails etc regarding the trip being CANCELED a week after I booked it, mind you... they didn't even alert me of the cancelation, I had to find out when I went through the airline to book my seats! There was no flight itinerary because it was canceled...
Out almost $2000 dollars. BBB cannot get a response from them, my bank can't get a response from them... UNBELIEVABLE! I don't know what to do at this point.

Literally the WORST customer service I've ever experienced and I work in customer service myself. None of them know what's going on, AT ALL. I booked a trip a VERY long time ago and they promised me a refund on some of my reservation, NOTHING. I've called too many times to count over the past 2 months. I spoke to someone December 1st who tells me my last call was not recorded in her system and that they're sending a check out that day and it'll be in the mail within 20 days. It's now over a month later and NOTHING. I called today and spoke to a man named Marcus who HUNG UP the phone on me? Great customer service thanks! I'm now on hold again with someone who said the check was never sent out to begin with. Actually such a joke for an agency and I'm waiting on several hundreds of dollars back from them. Which truthfully I don't think I'll ever see. It's actually so frustrating having to go back and forth with them over hours of phone calls just to not even see a penny of mine and feel like they think it's all a joke. I booked with them a few times in the past but after this experience, never again.

Never use this company to book travel! Our trip to Playa del Carmen via Cancun airport has been cancelled due to CVOID-19. I have attempted communication with Cheap Caribbean customer service multiple times. Never once was a call answered. They have now started having email correspondence with me even though they said that was not possible. Our group of travellers is made up of teachers who had to saved every penny for an entire year for this trip, a stay at home mom of two children under the age of two, and a nurse who is currently fighting COVID-19 in the heart of Chicago. What was going to be a fun week getaway has now turned into a nightmare and Cheap Caribbean is being heartless to our requests. We do not want a credit for anything. We need our money back! How can you justify no refund on our flight or hotel when we were on a stay at home order from the President of the United States and the Illinois Governor? Our travel was not essential. Cheap Caribbean should be giving us our money back because this was out of our control.
We have been to Riviera Maya hotel "Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda" hotel in August 2020. Because of COVID-19, the hotel was filled at about 25% of its capacity. That's the reason why the variety of food was limited, but the food itself was pretty tasty.
Only two restaurants were open per night, and in order to make reservation for next day dinner, you have to physically appear at the lobby every morning to see concierge.
The beach was disgusting, the sea water was dirty and the button has plenty of silt. Never go there if you beach lover! Terrible color of the sea! However, the swimming pools are very good and really giant.
At the evening time, there're tons of mosquitoes, swarms of those flying insects! Probably, they don't fight mosquitoes, we never saw fumigation process. At the hotel's territory, there are 2 or 3 real swamps, where those mosquitoes breed.
Mosquitoes was the reason why we never visit any show at the theater.
The personal at the hotel was nice and friendly, everyone was wearing mask and other protective equipment.
Service of "Cheap Caribbean" was really disappointed; we'll never be their client anymore. During 11 days of our stay, they never show up and ignored our calls. We tried to buy some excursion via "Cheap Caribbean", but with no success. Finally, we bought couple excursion from local company.
The room was spacious and clean. Every room has balcony of patio.

I booked my trip, no details from the hotel, just the fly. I called to anticipate one day; I paid the difference. When we get to the airport, Cheapcaribbean did not submit the payment to Frontier. We couldn't fly. No refunds at all. I rebooked the fly with Frontier directly for next day. They mistakenly called Frontier and cancelled my fly AGAIN. I couldn't get a hold of them from the airport. It ruined my planned vacation and my kid's illusions. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

I see some of these reviews and see a very common thread, buy travel insurance or face the problems of getting both travel AND flight credits.
We've used Cheap Caribbean numerous times and also had to adjust vacation times due to Covid. Each time is easy, but does take time with their attendants as they re-enter your vacation.
The rates are always very competitive with the resorts chosen, the flights are excellent rates. Our upcoming flights are nonstop with excellent time of day departures and arrivals.
Amstar is a wonderful vacation service that is used for excursions and transport to and from the airport, it's just easy and relaxing to look for the blue Amstar shirts with clean vehicles.
We've always had the most courteous help when calling in, in fact had to move our upcoming vacation for 2023 and Cheap Caribbean had a rate at a Now Resort/AMR group resort in Cancun with upgrades that I couldn't begin to match anywhere else, again with nonstop flights.
My advice to people is to plan carefully and make sure you are checking all the options and boxes when building the vacation before checking out so you don't end up with a problem later. That's part of acting as your own travel agent, you HAVE to be thorough when building the vacation.
I'd have no problem recommending Cheap Caribbean to family or friends, in fact we have.
I booked a vacation for my 30th in and had to cancel due to unfortunate events. I received my credits with each sections stating how much in airline and travel and I had until 2023 to use them. Planning a family vacation became a hassle when trying to use these credits. Apparently only around $200 is available. The original trip was over $1,000. After speaking multiple times to reps who obviously don't know what's going on and are outsourced, Also very unprofessional due to the fact I heard dogs and children in the background while they were "trying to find a manager". I requested that a manager call me as soon as possible and since they state that all of these recordings are recorded. I told him I wanted him to tell his manager to listen to the whole recording then to call me. Since then I have yet to hear from them. They're avoiding calls. I contacted American Airlines and they looked up my information and gave my my ticket number and everything, and also stated that the travel agency never canceled and American Airlines marked me down as a "no-show". Now that I have all the info. Emails. And confirmation numbers as well and cancellation numbers and statements from all parties. I will be pursuing legal actions. Also through the same company my cousin had to cancel as well, and 30 days!?! To refund a $3800 trip for 4? That is ridiculous and absolutely absurd. 7-10 days maximum.

I booked a vacation las year for me and my mother and I don't know what was happening with delta but we were in the airpot for quite some time. When it was time to check in we were told that they gate was closed although it was like 3 hours before the flight. We were told that we needed to reschedule our vacation. In that transaction delta stole the money for both flights. I been trying to contact cheapcaribbean for the longest of time. Its been a year since I booked that vacation to Aruba. When I called last year I was told that since I had insurance on my package that all the money will be return. However, after calling like 100 times because I want to know when my credit will expire. These people tell you wait on the line I will transfer you to another Department because they are the ones who deal with this and they just hang up every time. They tell you I will call you back but they don't like is our money not worth it? Not only you are stealing from me over 2000 dollars but now the people you are hiring don't want to help like what $#*!ing scam is this?

Absolutely the worst. We had to cancel and re-book our trip due to COVID and continuously got the runaround from them. First it was we just had to be-book our trip by a certain date, then it was travel by that date. Then we were told we had a hotel and airline credit SEPARATELY - so we paid additional money because the hotel was now more expensive, and when we tried to use the remaining airline credit - was told that it was actually a Cheap Caribbean credit (So should never had paid the hotel upcharge). Spend over 2 hours on the phone with them multiple times...

The very best thing about the Old Cheap Caribbean was not the prices…it was the Beachologists. The people who not just sold you your vacation, but took an interest in you! You just had to contact your personal beachologist to get things done and to fix anything you could find wrong…if anything. Apple has removed this service and does whatever the rest of the world does, customer service agent in India that can barely talk English.
My last experience was the topper. I get a call and an email from Cheap Caribbean 12 hours before my vacation was to begin saying I had a past due amount of $240 and they were going to cancel my $3300 vacation if I did not pay up immediately. I texted them a copy of my receipt that said that I paid in full. That did not deter them from threatening my vacation. After two hours and 5 phone calls I finally got a copy of an itinerary and receipt that said paid in full. I am stressed, it's why I needed the vacation. This started off my vacation horribly.

I reserved the reservation for 9. 17. 2022 in Punta Cana (#3p4000CK) and it was not as described. All the pools were dirty with green water, hotel plumbing was broken and there was water everywhere in the room and the hotel refused to fix it. Trees broken lying on the street so walking was not possible. I paid $1871. 51 and it's completely not acceptable. Only 1 restaurant was opened when they told me 15. Hotel did not honor "$100/ day store credit" and demanded out of pocked payment for literally everything.
Upon original booking, one personal Item suppose to be include in the flight, however it was not included and I was charged $100. I would onlse like to get it refunded
I filed a complain with Cheap Caribbean and they denied my request and telling "i'm sorry we have exhausted our options and can't issue refund". Sara Mahali was the last agent who assisted me. At the end she hunged up the phone.
I'm requesting full refund of $1871. 51 for service that were not provided + $100 refund for personal item charge that suppose to be included

My mother has booked through here with Lynette Burelli before so we decided to do so again. My problem is the insulting comment she made that was unnecessary and unprofessional to me on the phone a few minutes ago. She told my mother last week on 5/31/22 that if we didn't book basically that day/week that the price would go up due to flights. Everyone included in the trip got the deposit ready that same day. My mother reached out to her that day as well as the next. We didn't hear from her until YESTERDAY 6/5/22. With that being said we just had an increase of price which is fine although inconvenient. My problem is the comment she made when i said it wasn't fair to us because we were deposit ready LAST WEEK and could of payed the price we were quoted at. Her response was she couldn't be available 24/7. The lack of communication on Lynette's part resulting in the fees going up and the ignorant comment really left a bad taste in my mouth. Why take a job if you can't be "available" you literally work from home. And the fact that my mother reached out to her multiple time prior to us hearing back from her is extremely unprofessional. She tells my mom she had last minute training resulting in her lack of response. That's literally not our problem and we honestly could care less. I feel like we should be compensated in some kind of way and it not be an issue in this regard. Hope to hear from someone soon.

My wife and I used cheap Caribbean after reading about the beaches in the Dominican Republic. We went to swim, snorkel, and go to paradise island. Because of hurricane Matthew we couldn't do any of the 3. The beach had a red flag every day that we were there. A red flag means no swimming for our own protection. We emailed cheap Caribbean n they told us that the Dominican Republic was f effected by the hurricane til I sent them a letter that the hotel sent to each room asking us to take in the patio furniture, to stay on resort, and to stay away from beach. After seeing this cheap Caribbean offered us $100 off a future trip. That is less than 1/10 of what we paid n comes to $10 per person per day that we weren't allowed to swim. I called cheap Caribbean when I got back and Melanie told me that I shoulda "read the fine print ". I just want them to do something to help me go back. Celebrity cruise is giving their guests 1/2 off a future cruise and $250 on board credit. They care more about repeat business than cheap Caribbean. I just wanna save you the frustration. Customer service is hands down the worst! Per the website it states that you are entitled to a full refund if your trip is canceled within 24 hrs. I booked my trip on a Tuesday night and found the same itinerary cheaper the next night. So I contacted Customer Service for an adjustment. First mistake, the customer service representative said I could not use the existing funds for my new reservation. How dumb is that?! Whatever, she went on to state
I would get a refund in 5-10 business so I thought ok no big deal. Boy was I wrong! That's where the nightmare began. NOW 30 BUSINESS days later, I'm still waiting for my refund. I have called every 10 business days to check status of my refund and they claim my refund request has been "escalated". Today I spoke to a representative and was not impressed by the response after stating that HE was submitting my request for escalation. I had heard this before, I was livid! I asked to speak to the supervisor. BOY let me tell you SOFIA the "Supervisor" was not much help and again pretty much gave me the same "I have escalated your request BS" I was just given 20 minutes beforehand. I was unimpressed with her response and the way she was cutting me off while I was speaking and asked to speak to her Manager. Long story short, this person SOFIA should not be in a leadership role, I asked to be transferred to her manager at least 3xs and she was evasive and even had the audacity to hang up on me. So now, I'm on hold trying to get a hold of SOFIA's Manager, lets see how that goes.

Just booked a trip through cheap Caribbean too Playa Del Carmen Mexico at the grand Hyatt on their site it shows only All inclusive when we Checked into the Hotel we were told we were not booked all inclusive, cheap Caribbean's Internet site showed this hotel as only all inclusive when I called to figure out what was going on we were told that we could not change our reservation and going through their process of a complaint we were basically told that we booked it as a European plan which I had never heard of and did not book it that way I will never use cheap Caribbean again. My reservation was from October 17 through the 27th my reservation number was our R3YE00CJ

Booked an all inclusive trip to Riviera Maya 7 months ago and went on the trip last week. - paid for a Junior Allure Ocean View Suite - did not get one. Called CheapCaribbean customer service, said there wasn't anything they could do and I'd have to go to the front desk of the hotel. Did so - only to be told they were full and we couldn't have another room. Maintenance work going on outside our room, in the hotel from morning to evening -continuous noise. Hounded ENDLESSLY by Amstar which was not disclosed by CheapCaribbean - at the shuttle at the airport upon arrival for 45 minutes while the shuttle driver stood there, upon check-in at the hotel again another 45 minutes, then called our room every 2 hours EVERY DAY - every morning and afternoon to try and get us to schedule an appointment with them! Supposed to receive a free bottle of champagne, rum or tequila for our room...never received even after asking the concierge twice. Called CheapCarribean and they said there was nothing they could do, check with the concierge! Paid for private shuttle to and from the airport - crammed into a 15 passenger van...took pictures of everything and filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau including pictures. This was a horrible trip and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone - their customer service is deplorable and you don't get what you pay for. If I could rate zero stars - I would.
