I have been associated with Coinbase for nearly seven years. I would advise against investing any funds in Coinbase unless you are willing to relinquish over 14,000 USD worth of cryptocurrency. It is not recommended to engage in any investment activities with this unscrupulous entity. I got all they stole back through Aldw
Ychsecurities.

Customer support is bad!
September 27, 2023

After changing the phone I had a problem with new google authenticator. They asked to upload ID. The system would not take it - tried multiple times. Dead end. After going around several times inside customer support maze, was able to send a message. Unhelpful autoreply. Two days later - case closed. Replied to reopen the case since no help was provided. No go. No case can be reopened. Went back to the site and after wasting a lot of time and effort found out that you can submit a complaint after you have a case open or closed. Submitted complaint. It said it takes 30 days bat got an unhelpful reply in 2 days. Explained the issue again. Eventually after about 9 emails got it solved. Told them that that this should not take so much time and effort - no plans to change. If my bank would treat me this way, I would leave immediately. Will try to leave coinbase as soon as I find a suitable replacement.

Slow Transfer Times
November 10, 2023

How the hell did this company get an IPO. It's trading fees are ridiculously high. And you'd think to make up for that they have good transfer speed. I've used defi wallets and know how long a transaction takes on the blockchain. Their method is slow for "security" purposes. But all it does is slow down the trading process and takes users' money.

The most prestigious banking relationship in crypto has ended.

Barclays, the London-based global bank, is no longer working with cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase, industry sources told CoinDesk. And while Coinbase found a replacement in U. K. upstart ClearBank, according to people familiar with the situation, the change has indirectly inconvenienced the exchange's users.

That's because, aside from the cachet of working with a household-name bank, Barclays connected San Francisco-based Coinbase to the U. K. Faster Payments Scheme (FPS), enabling users to instantly withdraw and deposit British pounds at the exchange. The end of the relationship disrupted Coinbase's access to FPS which in turn slowed deposits and withdrawals in GBP for U. K. customers, which now take days to process.

Barclays, ClearBank and Coinbase all declined to comment.

Funds Recovery Made Easy
February 1, 2023

"Michealmurphy At Repairman DOT Com" remains the best in Bitcoin, wallet, password and funds recovery. I had a cold storage wallet that I bought some years back which I use in storing my crypto. When I went back to withdraw my coin I realized my wallet had been compromised and my coin was gone. After a week of not having access to my wallet, I started researching, I found Michael Murphy and they had the best reviews. They tracked the coin using the hacker's transaction signature print in an hour and only took their 20% fee which I was more than happy for them to have. Highly recommend their service.

DO NOT USE Coinbase. I deposited my money in a Coinbase account. After I made the deposit, I was informed that I would not be able to access my money for fifteen days. They say this is to prevent fraud.

After the fifteen day waiting period I checked my account to find my money was gone. Coinbase offers no explanation for this no would they take any steps to correct the problem. The only reply I received was one informing me that the case was closed and that no further action would be taken.

When I tried again to get any answers the reply was the same.

This is the most blatantly crooked organization on the mainstream web if you ask me. How they can commit thievery and still call themselves legitimate is beyond me. Next time I'll take my chances on the dark web.

Just watch every time you trade to another Crypto your balance will have funds mysteriously disappear! So the more you trade the more you mysteriously lose money! Also, on the rare occurrence one of your Cryptos spike for a brief moment, they throttle it so you never get the amount you should if you try and sell at that split second. They also cancel a transaction when you try and sell your Crypto during a spike losing thousands of dollars. When you call tech support and ask why the sale for a profit was canceled, they give you a flimsy technical jargon response. Funny how my transactions are never cancelled when I have a loss...only when I am looking at a profit to sell during a spike. Run! Just run, or Coinbase will suck you dry leaving you penniless!

Really simple
March 22, 2018

European SEPA zone to do SEPA transfer and buy or sell bitcoins. Then, it acts like a wallet.
The website is really simple compared to other i have tried (like stripe).
Security is the same as for paypal but this time you do a little bank transfer to coinbase to confirm your account. Coinbase also allows to do an automated transfer of your fund in euros to your bank account and that's really good. I have no idea if it does the same with USD.
I have paid online with it and it works well.

Coinbase has canceled my account and reuses to release my holdings for transfer to an offsite wallet as they are required according to the User Agreement. This situation has been ongoing for well over 3 weeks. Multiple emails with no resolution in sight. Now referred to a "specialist" with a time frame of 5-7 days and possibly longer. This company seems to be composed of crooks.

I opened an account with Coinbase in August of 2016 just to experiment with digital
Currency. Because I was using a credit card I was limited to $50.00 per week in deposits. I purchased 20 Ethereum for a total expense of $234.00. I have since recovered my original investment by 29 times. Coin base has deposited moneys in my checking account many times with no problems. I would HIGHLY RECCOMEND this company. P. K. Simonton Texas. This is an unsolicited endorsement.

Coinbase Fraud?
May 22, 2016

How much has Coinbase defrauded you? Send the amount expressed in US Dollars to: *******@gmail.com Let's see the total and discover whether law enforcement is interested. DO NOT send personal information, just the actual dollar amount of your loss.

I lost USD $2,000 to them two weeks ago in a BTC purchase order they cancelled for no reason, then failed to refund the money they had withdrawn from my bank account.

Please post this contact email address and request to your Facebook and Twitter accounts.

I got a new debit card from my bank and tried to use it in Coinbase (at that moment I already used this debit card in other places and everything worked well). For some reason my card was rejected by Coinbase. I contacted a customer support and they told me that I need to contact my bank as the problem is there. I checked with the bank and there was no problem with my card. I called the customer support again but they said they couldn't help me and blocked my account. I contacted them 5 times and provided them with all the documents confirming my identity, but even after they did not change my account status and it remained blocked. I am very disappointed in this service and I do not recommend using Coinbase.

Thinking of trying out Coinbase? Just know they don't have a customer service department. You'll have about a 5% chance of getting an answer from them. If by chance you do get your answer, the respond of Coinbase so called "customer service department" will be more then 7 days. If you are trying to put money into Coinbase. Coinbase "customer service department" responds time magically goes up from 7 days to less then 24 hours.
Final conclusion
Coinbase - we have no problem taking you money and delaying your money once we have it. But once you try and move it from Coinbase. We will try our best to make this process as difficult as possible. We won't respond or give you any explanation as to why we are doing this.

Coinbase already has the money they don't care after that.
Almost forgot - if you try and cancel the transaction. Coinbase won't cancel cuase they know you will just withdraw your money from them and never use them again. Lol

I was hesitant to place a buy order with these folks after reading story after story about how they would cancel a buy order. I placed a buy order with these guys yesterday for 10 million bits, 10 btc, and today I received an email stating that my buy order was canceled. I am pretty upset because I had to jump through bank account and identity verification hoops only to have them say sorry, better luck next time. I also found it rather convienent that they canceled the order after the price went up. Had it went down I am sure they would have been more than happy to push the order through. It's my own fault though, I knew they had a history of pulling this crap but I tried anyway.

Coinbase is a licenced exchange that can be trusted. I lost a little above 74,000 on the platform but after receiving a refund through fintrack. Org, i was made to realize that i fell victim to a fraudulent broker that isn't with the coinbase company.

Deposited a substantial amount of money to purchase goods in South Africa. It is to a trusted source. On the phone 3 times with coinbase customer support, before and after wiring the money to my coinpurse wallet. After deposit, and as I go to transfer to bitcoin and then to South Africa, I was told that I could not transfer it for 45 days (or up to 60 or more days). This was something that customer support failed to mention as I was wiring money to them and organizing the transfer. The websites that mention Coinbase also fail to mention this. It is supposed to be somewhere in the multiple pages that we agree to in "the terms". Stay away from them, looking for an alternatives.
