Coinbase is the worst of the worst. I had everything stolen from my account plus I owe money because the culprit bought more tokens from money out of my bank, converted it, and exchanged it. All this within 2 minutes. I had a block at my bank knowing something was going on but since the deed was done before the bank transfer took place, I owe coinbase more money even though my bank blocked the transaction. Customer service was lousy, it took a month to recover my account only to be told your $#*! out of luck and you owe us money. No effort whatsoever to help recover it. Too much work, I guess. It really almost seems like an inside job the way it all went down. Maybe I'm just a conspirative. My advice STAY FAR AWAY FROM COINBASE. THE RISK ISNT IN YOUR INVESTMENTS, THE RISK IS TRUSTING COINBASE WITH THE SECURTIY OF YOUR MONEY.
For starters I've had to relink my account numerous times with still no definite answers to why. After relinking the first time I was able to trade for a while with no problems. Then again recently the same problem with needing to relink my account. Relinked the account AGAIN and now am being told I have insufficient funds (which is complete crap!) The only response I get is that their third-party (plaid) is responsible for that aspect of things and or my bank is to blame. Again, complete crap and excuses! Coinbase needs to be responsible for their third-party that handles their customers transactions which are being prevented from being made! At the same time emailing back and forth with coinbase I was literally getting notifications about the crypto I was previously trying to buy and was unable to and essentially lost money due to the fault of the "third-party" and or "ignorance" of coinbase! I've since emailed asking how coinbase now plans to correct and reimburse myself as well as others in which have had these same problems. So far they have lived up to the title of this review "sufficient BS" in a glorious and expected manner with no response!. Will definitely keep everyone updated and please feel free to share your lovely coinbase disappointments as well!... FYI, a posted image of that notification I received while being prevented prior to from buying that asset and in the middle of emailing back and forth with coinbase as I stated previously in this review. Coinbase has failed everyone, not to be trusted in any way scammed me of a lot of money and I wouldn't have been able to get back my money if I wasn't helped my asset recoup dot com
Coinbase is the gold standard in virtual currency exchangers, exclusively dealing with Bitcoin, Ethereum and recently Litecoin. They are a fast growing darling of Silicon Valley and have the heavyweight VC's like Andreesen Horowitz / DFJ backing their later stage rounds. While they're busy burning through millions of cash, they still have not figured out how to sufficiently scale and manage their customer base.
The platform works nearly flawlessly once it has been set up properly. However, I found this process to be quite cumbersome, because of the automation that goes into the process and the severely lacking human capital for customer support.
Something as simple as updating a social security number was quite painful, with repeated error messages. Contacting customer support yielded 1 response out of 4 attempts, in a 1 month period. That response simply stated something to the effect of "sorry it took us so long to respond, are you still experiencing this problem? Please try again."
The problem eventually resolved on its own, mysteriously, only to come back up again (and restrict my account) in the process. When it works the exchange occurs very quickly, and the funds can be deposited within 2 business days to an account. They can process a high volume and a large dollar amount of transactions. There's a maximum sell limit that replenishes in real time. The exchange fees are quite high, but there's a problem with an oversupply of ledger recordings and the higher fees tend to get processed faster.
Don't put any money on this platform because you will scam! Very bad company they take my money and never give me back!

I lost my phone with my SIM card and I couldn't get my number with simple mobile. I tried everything with simple mobile company and they couldn't help me get my number back and I think they are not professional. I have been with the company since 3 years now. I explained the problem to Coinbase customer support and they asked me many proof that I've sent to them. During 2 weeks I've sent all the proof they asked to me without problem. Today 10-18-2021 They say they can not help me and I think Coinbase team are scammers. They scam my $3000.
They scam my ******* + dogecoin and all my others cryptocurrencies. Me and my family with my 3 friends are leaving Coinbase today. We are going to invest in trusted companies. All the others companies( CRYPTO.COM, BINANCE.US, BITRUE, ROBINHOOD) have been able to restore my account without problem in they platform.
