I've been playing this since 2012 and have won many items. It's a great way to purchase items at a low cost.

I don't know what specific experience I experienced on 12/7, however, I have, over the years filled most of my gifting needs through my Deal Dash wins. The quality of the products have always been very good and there is something here for everyone. I have only had 1 or 2 hiccups over the years.but the staff is always very simpathetic and quick to make the situation right. I will continue to be one of Deal Dash's biggest fans!
The same people win all the time! They appear to have unlimited bids, and enter multiple auctions at once. Do not like the new format and doubt I will continue playing once my bids are gone. It's just too hard to win these days!
This is a game. Enjoy it and get some bargains when you can.

This website is legitimate. Shiping is extremely fast and you can win some great items. However, new users need to take the time to actually watch the auctions for a while to learn how the bidders who most often use the site bid and if they are a bidder willing to pay more than retail price just for the satisfaction of being able to say they won the auction. Most users come onto the site thinking that they are going to immediately win something big and bid against anyone no having done their homework first. I can spot these users a mile away and yes, I admit, I bid against them and win.
Yes, it's very true that you probably won't win a high end item (laptop, sound system, game console, etc) and will probably have to stick to something valued at $100 or less because the powerbidders bid on the higher items and they play to win at all costs. They are real people with deep pockets.
This aside, I have won many gift cards, videogames, and electronics from Deal Dash. It took a lot of patience and research so that I did not go into an auction blindly. And end up losing an auction and having to just flat out pay for it to not lose my money.
The buy it now price is inflated from the standard retail price of the item unless its an item with absolute value like a gift card with bonus bids attached. So if you want to essentially get all of your money back if you lose a battle, stick to those auctions.
I have not lost money on the site. In fact, I've come out with a nice profit. I have even won items for 1 cent (a lower end sound system and a MP3 player)! All you have to do is watch and learn. DON'T sign up and start bidding away immediately. Learn first and you will have better luck.
I hope that this helps.

There was a glitch on DealDash, I believe due to new updated software which caused me to lose an auction, which I had 900 bids left on and had just bought more to put on that auction for safety.
But when I clicked to go back to the auction after buying more bids. It said I lost. I went nuts, I was like no way did I quit, what just happened?! Listen, I've been on since 2013. I've won
Hundreds and hundreds of items,, most worth thousands over the years and yes, I've spent alot too. I'm a pro on there and know and understand how to play and bid only because I've done it so long. So I Called support and got a female agent that blamed me, said I canceled the auction, even tho I was about to win it,
It was me and someone else left. She was really rude, saying I did it. To her, that was that and She said she was gonna hang up on me if I didn't calm down. I was mad because I just lost fir no reason and now your blaming me! So I Called James Rodgers from DealDash whom I met in Fla when they brought me down to film a commercial for them. He called me back and I gotta say, he took such good care of me it's unreal. He understood and did what customer service folks should, took care of the customer. I won't say what he did but know that the people who run DealDash are caring honest good folks who work hard just like us and they really do want the customer to experience the best. Even if wrong or right, there's a way to handle situations and James is the best at it. He listened to what happened, spoke to the woman and made me feel like the only customer.
He should be the VP of DealDash, that's how good he is to me and others, and that's how that company grew to what it is, by the hard work and top notch customer service to each person. Bottom line, DealDash for the most part has great customer service and executives like James are behind the scenes making sure you get the best experience when your on DealDash. Go on today, buy some bids and win a new car or a $1500 pair of Buffalo skin dress shoes from Paris for a penny! I did and you can too. Try it!

Fun but to many people wait till it gets over what others have been beeting and runs the price up over what the item cost.

I wish I could give less than 1 star.
This is a complete scam. STAY AWAY.
I saw a commercial for this on Fox News (should have been my first clue huh?) with all these cute elderly people claiming they won Ipads for $29 and the like.
Let me be very clear IT IS IMPOSSIBLE.
First of all, read the fine print on those TV ads. Find out how many bids the small print says they needed before they won the item - IF they won it at all which I strongly suspect is a lie. If you do see the small print you will see the average "winner" bit more than 1000 times! That means they spent at least 1000 x 0.18 (per bid - the current lowest price for their back to school special) = $180 just in bids alone! That doesnt include the price you end up winning the auction at which was never close to $29 for electronics.
I made the mistake of being suckered into this scam. DONT DO IT.
I wound up spending $72 in bids and got absolutely NOTHING. Not a single thing.
Here's the TRUTH about this site.
1. You have to buy bids. Each bid costs at least 18 cents. Sounds cheap right?
2. Once you bought your bids you can enter the auctions.
3. The auctions start when there is 10 seconds left on the clock - sounds great right? Just get your bid in before the 10 seconds are up and BOOM - you win! NO NOT AT ALL.
4. Every time a bid is placed before the 10 seconds are up - the clock starts OVER again at 10 seconds!
5. That means that you can literally bid at 9 seconds and it's all for nothing clock starts all over again.
The site tries to keep you hooked by giving you free bids for every min then 2 min then 3 min etc you are top bidder. ANOTHER SCAM.
It's almost impossible to remain top bidder for more than a few seconds. Someone will come in, place their bid and boom you need to bid again.
This site is nothing more than masked online gambling if I am being honest. They try to entice you with the rush of the bidding but the house will always have the upper hand.
STAY AWAY.

Hi Nell. For new users, I normally recommend watching our How it Works video for a brief overview of what to expect from the auctions: http://www.dealdash.com/how-does-it-work
DealDash has a 100% money back guarantee on your first bid pack purchase and a winning guarantee. If you decide to give DealDash a try and don't win an auction with your first bid pack we'll return the bids back to your account free for a second chance.
If you're still not satisfied with your DealDash shopping experience we'll be happy to refund your first bid pack purchase no questions asked. You can even keep any bids in your account or items you have won.
Giving DealDash a try is risk free!
It's a great site in the fact that you have the chance to rebid on an item because of the repetition of multiple items.

Seems like a penny auction site is being reviewed almost daily here, so I thought I'd chime in. First off let me say, I think a lot of these reviews are being done by competitors or paid for. Who signs up for SiteJabber to review one site out of billions? Shady is all I'm saying.
I hear a lot of complaints about people spending so much in bids it doesn't make sense for them to do that and that the site must have "bots". Or that they use all their bids and win nothing. Well, some people do know how to game these sites. How? Well instead of going right for the shiny consumer electronics, they spend all their bids and money getting more bids. They concentrate on "bid auctions", that is, gettiing bids for cheap. Swoopo and Beezid do 500 and 1000 bid pack auctions. So when it comes down to a person who has 30 bids at a buck a piece and a guy with 500 that he paid less than $100 for, guess who is going to feel cheated, and guess who is going to be watching his HD 3DTV in 2 weeks? If you are going to use these sites, bid horde! Bids are the most expensive part of the game, use them wisely. If they didn't send products, or scammed you, you need to get in touch with law enforcement.
However I will say that for the amount of money these sites make, they go to very little effort to explain to their users how it all works. It's not a scam, it's not equivalent gambling. If you can find a way to game them, go for it. According to Swoopo they lose money on about half of their auctions. But the big auctions make up for the losses. To be fair, I'll say the same for the other two auction sites mentioned here. I would say Beezid, Swoopo and BigDeal have the best products and the best sites in this industry. If you're going to try out penny auctions, bid horde, and use one of these three.

Everything I have won has been exactly as I bid on. The shipping was prompt and I'm have a great time as a Deal Dash customer!

Wrong item shipped. 5 days no contact by phone or email. When I called I was told "This sometimes happens and it'll be a few more days until I get contacted. Never mind how much longer until I get my item. Oh yeah! And a 12 foot box of aluminum tubes that was supposed to be a mountain bike blocking the entryway to my home. My favorite from Louisa the customer rep when I told her I was furious with their handling of this, "Sorry you feel that way." Somebody explain to customer service that saying, "Sorry you feel that way." is NOT an apology. So I guess I will just sit and stare at this monstrous box in my hallway while I wait for their "Shipping Team" to come back to work. Serious statement. Their shipping team doesn't work everyday. They have an alternating schedule so the chance of getting immediate help for a shipping issue depends on their team being on staff THAT day. Sounds like a great business model.
IT CONTINUES!
So here I am STILL waiting for the bicycle I won. Now they tell me they can't give it to me. The best part is that they sent me a box of aluminum tubes from Amazon that was supposed to be my bike. I called. I emailed. I took a picture!. Now the head of customer support has apologized and said they cannot resend the bike because the same mistake would happen again! Excuse me? What? This is the second time they have pulled this Bait and Switch maneuver. They promise the item and then offer you more bids or a gift card as a replacement. The gift card is only good if I can find the exact item and the exact price or lower. What are the chances and why has that become my JOB to go out on my own and fix their lie?

Bid on auctions and save. All auctions start at $0 with no minimum price reserve. Everything must go! DealDash is the fair and honest bidding site. Founded in 2009, millions of bidders have enjoyed Deal Dash auctions since.
Established in 2009, DealDash is the longest operating site of its kind in the United States. Before DealDash was founded, millions of Americans tried out 1st generation bidding fee auctions. These first generation auctions left many people with a poor experience.
After one such letdown experience, spending $50 on a pay-to-participate auction site with nothing to show for it, our founder decided to create a fair and honest alternative to bidding fee auctions, where losing bidders don’t have to lose the money they spent bidding. That is how Deal Dash was born in 2009. Today, over 1,000 brand named products are discovered and won by customers every day!
Bid in our online auctions to catch a deal and if you don't win the auction, you can buy it now and keep on bidding!
Thank you kindly for the 5 star review Kevin, I'm happy to hear of your bargain wins, Happy Bidding :)
