DONT BUT FROM HERE
April 11, 2019

They sent me a "refurbished" MacBook Air that had coke all over the inside of it so it doesn't even work. There is no way they tested the product before sending it to me. Now they aren't responding to my calls or emails. It's all a scam!

Horrible customer service!
December 12, 2021

In September 2021 I had an iPhone X and an iPhone 6s to sell for a client. I do such electronics sales often for clients. I chose Decluttr after seeing online recommendations for them. The process was quick and relatively easy. They sent me the label for the package and I sent the items off via UPS. Several weeks later the package shows up on the UPS website as "On the Way-Delayed". I tried contacting UPS to find out what happened to the package only to find out that since I didn't pay for the label I could not get any help in tracking the package. Contacted Decluttr to have them try to track down what happened to the package and they refused to do it with out the IMEI numbers of the phones. Which I don't have because they're not my phones and I was never told to record those numbers prior to shipping. Almost 3 months later and I'm out the money for the phones and really no recourse.

FRAUD! Avoid these guys
February 26, 2020

They lost my phone and are giving me the runaround, even though I used the shipping label they provided and the USPS tracking shows that the device was delivered to their facility on February 15 (it is now February 26). They are giving me the runaround, saying they will need to escalate with USPS. USPS did their part -- they delivered the phone to Decluttr 11 days ago.

I have demanded that they either return my phone, or send me the money promised. They keep replying with canned responses that don't address the issue. Now they are asking for the serial number of the phone -- I don't have it -- they have the phone!

I accepted DeCluttr's offer to buy my used iPhone and sent it to them expecting payment. When they received my phone they falsely claimed that it was blacklisted because it was reported stolen. I checked the IMEI on 3 different web sites and all 3 indicated that the phone was NOT blacklisted. I sent written copies to DeClutter. They then changed their false claim to say that the phone had unpaid bills, so they couldn't buy it, but would return it to me. They did not. I contacted them again to find out the status, and they went back to the original false claim that it was blacklisted. It's been 3 weeks and they have not paid, and are refusing to return my phone. They have lied and ignored proof I have sent them. Do not do business with this company under any circumstances.

SELLERS BEWARE!
August 15, 2019

Wow. HORRIBLE experience. What a scam. Took them a week to receive my items (when ups showed they had been delivered and dropped off to them within 2 days of my shipping), and another 2 days to process it, so 11 days total and its STILL PROCESSING. They offer you high prices for your stuff and when they get it, they will almost certainly, re-evaluate your item and give you a new LOWER price (They offered you the high price just to get your STUFF) once they receive it. So you send them your cell phone that they quoted you 150 for. You wait 2 weeks, and they offer you 25$ for it, citing some reason that you, yourself had no knowledge of (hmmm, begs they question if they did it themselves). Overall bad experience, definately a scam to get your items in their hands. You've been warned.

Do NOT use this company
March 14, 2023

I sent an iPhone XR to this company and they revalued it saying that the FACE ID did not function properly. I knew that the Face ID functioned right so I refused the new offer and asked that they send the phone back to me. It has been 9 months and a gazillion emails since and I still have not received my phone back. They can not provide a date that the phone was sent back nor can they provide any type of tracking information. They refuse to take responsibility for not returning my phone to me.

Submitted for iPhone 6s Plus in perfect condition and an iPhone 8 Plus that the camera was messed up on. They offered me $99 for the 6 and 39 for the 8. I shipped them, wrapped in fuzzy socks with tons of padding. When they received them and tested them they claimed the 6 had pockets on the screen and the lcd was messed up. It was not when I sent it. They then said they couldn't file a claim on the shipping because I accepted the offer, I did not. NOW they are saying my bank information is wrong and they will have to send me a check! Stay away! They are now offering to pay me 21 for a phone that is in perfect condition!

HORRIBLE COMPANY
February 14, 2023

In desperation I along with my family gathered a bunch of electronics ( iPads, iPhones, Mac Books etc) to sell in order to get by the week. All items are in excellent condition and it was estimated that we'd receive a healthy amount. Time passes, we receive an email stating that the MacBook was not in good condition and states they would not pay us for it. Long story short we asked for all items back, they sent them back but we noticed they changed the password on the MacBook and no one can provide me with the new password. Currently stuck with a MacBook I cannot sign into. Through email was given multiple different passwords to use but none allow access. My MacBook now has no use because I cannot log in. Terrible Company. Would never recommend to ANYONE.

SCAM
March 17, 2020

I sent Decluttr an old phone on March 9th 2020, and received an email from Declutrr stating they had received my phone on March 14th 2020, and their tech's would check over the phone and I would be paid through paypal. Then I received 4 emails from Declutrr asking me why I didn't send the phone, did I change my mind?

I sent them 4 emails back with their email attached showing them that they received the phone on the 14th. I then received the same email, but this time asking me to screen shot their email stating the phone had arrived. I did this and I still haven't heard another word from Declutrr, or payment. Its been 2 weeks now. I think this is a scam company to retrieve items they can re-sell for pure profit... Be careful if you decide to use them!

Your order ******* has arrived at our warehouse and our quality assessment department will check your items soon.

As you chose to get paid via PayPal, your money will be deposited directly into your PayPal account.

Bunch of Crooks
November 24, 2021

Once again this horrible company has stolen some of my dvd's, This time claiming that the dvd's in questions are promotional items and can't be credited. These are not promotional and The same barcode they rejected is the one I used to upload. To make matters worse they are selling the same copy on their eBay store. These crooks will be reported to the BBB. I will not let this go

TOTAL SCAM
March 10, 2023

I found an ipad mini and a samsung tablet while spring cleaning. Got fairly good estimate feom Declutter. The mini was old so I didn't care what I got but the samsung was fairly new. They came back and said the hardware on the mini was damaged and they couldn't start it. Total BS as I turned it on just fine played around apps and then factory reset it and turned it back on to double check. No problems. I got $1. The samsung tablet they said was completely bent beyond repair. Um not a chance. It was in a hard protective case in pristine condition and wrapped when shipped. Est price they were supposed to pay $36 I got $1.80. I accepted the offers because I figured they would send them back damaged because they physically had to do it then I couldn't resell. They will probably turn around and sell these for a decent profit. Your better off taking to a pawn shop. DO NOT USE DECLUTTER

I sent in a pristine Samsung phone. They offered a good price before I sent it in, per there website estimate. After they received it they said it was locked, which it was not. Now, they sent me a fake DHL tracking number stating my phone was sent back to me. After 2 weeks no one can tell me where my phone is. I believe they did not send my phone back and are making a 100% profit re-selling.
This is a crime of stealing... a complete ripoff. I have no idea how they conned the BBB to give them a 4 star rating. Very shady business practices.

I sent in a dozen tablets, iPods, Samsung phones, games and iPhones. They kept my items for months until I finally had my lawyer contact them and they said they changed what they accepted one week after I sent them. No communication, no nothing.
It went from paying me over 300 to 13. They're shady, dishonest and I will blast this everywhere until they go out of business. I needed that money because I lost my job like millions of others because of COVID. And now I'm out both my money AND my items I could have sold. This company needs to
Go out of business.

I sent them an apple watch. They said it was locked, it was so I unlocked. Two weeks later I contacted customer service. They told me the watch was locked and they couldn't access. I checked my cloud.com account, they lied. It's been 3 weeks and my watch hasn't been returned.
They are a scan and I wouldn't trust them. Run dont walk away from these creeps

Deceptive practices
March 17, 2023

I tried to sell my old cell phone to Decluttr. They gave an initial estimate and I shipped the phone to them. I soon received an email stating that the phone was not in same condition as I described stating it had a broken screen and they revised the offer to $1.25. I refused the offer and then returned the phone. I was shocked when I received the phone and it was still in perfect condition just as it was when I shipped it. Clearly, they tried to low ball me expecting that I would assume it had been broken in shipping. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!

I am owed $12.80 regarding order# *******, which is for 16 blu-rays that were received by Kelsey on 5/11. Per my conversation with customer service rep Meg on 5/17 which I have saved, I was promised payment of $12.80 in two business days which is by today. This morning I receive an email from Karla stating "something" is missing from my order without specifying what that something is. NOTHING is missing from my order and why I am being promised payment and then two days later receive a conflicting response that I need to provide a shipping manifest from the carrier? UPS does not provide a manifest when you hand them a sealed box. DeCluttr has a litany of complaints on every online review site you can write a review where customers are having the same experience of baseless accusations of missing items, damages, etc. to force customers to accept less than the price they were originally offered. I was promised payment of $12.80 (I have the proof from Meg) and that is the only acceptable resolution. At this point it's not about the $12.80 or the pennies they are trying to short me, it's about the principle and the comfort with which this business lies to its customers. Absolutely shameful and a disgrace.
