I ordered a refurbished Ipad Pro from Decluttr, and even got a 10% discount. That being said, I received it today. Now, they said it was in "good, refurbished" condition. They were wrong. It arrived in "like-new" condition. I am quite impressed. Included was a little lightening cable. Seriously, I was skeptical at first given all the negative reviews, but, now I'm very pleased. The only con was trying to check order status. It kept on coming up as in processing and yet I received it today. Not knowing when it was being shipped was a let down because I waited to make sure the accessories I needed (longer cable and a screen protector) would be appropriate for this model. But, as I said it appears to be brand new except for a few very light scratched on the rear of the device. Good job!
Contacted them 7 days after the "expected delivery date" when a book did not arrive. (BTW: I received no notice that shipment had actually occurred.) Their reply was that I was contacting them beyond their "within 30 days of expected delivery date" and that "Due to the length of time that has passed, we do not have access to our records". Sounds like this "company" in not on the up-and-up. You may also note that in trying to contact this GA vendor, email goes to an address in the UK. Be aware before you deal with this group (or individual.)
Didn't have an issue with purchasing a 2020 iPad Pro listed in pristine condition. The issue I have with these scam artists…is making it so easy and enticing to sell your old tech to them. Sent them a fist gen iPad Pro that was in good and working condition (repackage in the same box they sent my newer iPad Pro purchase from them). They received it two days after I shipped it. A couple days later they sent an email claiming it was bent beyond repair. How the hell does one even bend an iPad? I have always kept all my things in good condition, and realized after looking at reviews on this site, I'm not the only one they've scammed. I know there's nothing wrong with the first gen iPad Pro I sent them, but because they want to pay me $32 instead of the $162…. They're lying to us and saying items are broken or bent. I damn well know now, these scam artists are taking our tech for next to nothing and reselling it. I will never do business again with them and I suggest buyer/seller beware. Completely dishonest. I don't know who they're paying over at trustpilot and the BBB for fake positive reviews. Lesson learned. Sell your tech elsewhere!

I sent my phone in great condition to Decluttr in December to sell. Once it arrived they claimed that it was damaged and I disputed it. They were supposed to initiate a claim with UPS and get back to me. I would check in about every two weeks to see what was the status on the claim or inquiry with UPS. I was told they were still looking into for months. Finally, I get mad and demand answers from a supervisor or someone. One week I was told it was escalated and someone would contact me soon. The next week I was told that my device was returned to me and it was marked as delivered. My device was never returned to me. I checked with the post office several times and even talked with a supervisor regarding it and was told the tracking info was invalid and they never received it. I contact Decluttr back because now its a problem. And they tell me it's no longer their problem. Now if they were sending back a device to a customer where there was an issue wouldn't they email me and say so? On the day they claimed the device was received, I received a response where they claimed someone was still looking into it. Now if they are looking at my information, wouldn't they know the phone was supposedly sent back? They are not honest nor reputable. You would be sending your phone at your own risk. Now they have stopped all communication with me as if I'm going to go away. I don't have a phone nor money for my device. I will not let this go until its resolved to my satisfaction. Do not send your device to these people. They are ridiculous.
The people who do the book quality checks are MORONS! They recycle books that are in perfect condition because they are so lazy they didn't bother to read the title of the books and never looked for the ISBN inside the book when ISBNs are not in the back cover. Thus, the "NO BARCODE" found state.
Hi buyer or future buyers, I bought two items from Decluttr for the value of $2843. 79. I placed the order on June 1st for two days business days delivery.
On June 30th, I received a payment of $1421. 89 for my purchase of $2843. 79. A balance of $1421. 89 is still outstanding to date.
This part payment was received because I cancelled the order R******* due to non-delivery and requested a full refund. I received an email from James at Decluttr customers service that the order is cancelled, and I will receive a FULL REFUND.
Well on July 8th, I received a UPS Tracking Number 1ZF924W*******668 for a Decluttr delivery.
Why was the total amount not refunded? That is a good question.
Decluttr had no intention of refunding the total amount.
Decluttr, formerly Entertainment Magpie Inc, should fulfill their obligation to refund my total amount for the cancelled order because of non-delivery.
Decluttr can not be trusted. Their customer service emails and live chats continue with mixed messages. They don't have your customers' interests at heart.
Future buyers take care... though Decluttr has raving reviews as a BUYER, SELLING is not their strength. I have been disappointed since I placed the order on June 1, and today is July 8th.
In one email, I was told delivery failed because I gave the wrong delivery address, which is not valid. Decluttr inefficiency, empty promises and conflicting messages are at the heart of their poor customer service for a purely online business.
I am still hopeful of getting the remaining balance of $1421. 89.
Tip for consumers:
If communication by phone and email is important to you in the event of an issue that may arise, then this company may not be your best choice. Hard lessons learned.

This is why I canceled my order to sell DVDs:
Went through a couple hundred barcode scans and the app selected 67 that were worth their time; however, being a data driven professional I noticed once we got *******@25th DVD scan, nearly everything was worth $. 05. The most shocking part to me was the highest valued item was a Wolverine/Xmen cartoon series at $2.14 and a Michael Keaton movie "My Life" was $. 05, Something About Mary - $. 05, and Going The Distance - $. 05.
So I canceled the order and went back and started a new order to test my thoughts that they have an algorithm in place that devalues movie titles once the payment hits a specified amount, or a target number of movies scanned. Holy moly, Batman was I right. Scanning the Wolverine cartoon was now valued at $2.48 and the My Life movie went up 500% to $. 25. Both Something About Mary AND Going The Distance all went up to $. 024 and $. 025, respectively. First try... those 4 movies were valued at $2.29. Second shot, same movies but only those 4, were valued at $3.22.
Moral of the story is... it's cool to see a site pay for these items, but do they have to base it on dishonest valuations? Why do they have a system in place that devalues based on the number of items? Or at least be upfront about the average payment threshold so consumers can submit multiple orders for the most money and time. Honesty usually works. Just sayin'.
Tip for consumers:
Submit multiple orders with very few DVDs to receive the best valuations of your movies.

I sent them a Galaxy A50 after receiving an offer of $70.00. I used their label and tracked it until it was delivered to their facilities. I emailed them to confirm and got a response saying the box I sent was empty. BS! I have the shipping receipt showing the box weighed 10.3 ounces. The galaxy A50 weighs a little over 6 ounces and the box and packaging made up the rest. After I replied with this info... crickets. I filed a complaint with the BBB who sent it over and got a message back saying they are will refer this to their Claims Dept. I then received an email from the Claims Dept asking for the EMI number. I dont have that! You have my phone! How can I pull it up when YOU HAVE MY PHONE! Side Note: During this whole debacle, I sent a Note 9 and Galaxy S9+ to Gazelle. I sent them after the initial "nothing in your box" email. As of today, I have had both other phones processed and checks sent and received from Gazelle. Not only that, but gazelle emailed me after getting the box and said the S9+ was in BETTER condition that I indicated and they were INCREASING the offer by $10.00! Decluttr is a SCAM! If you want to sell electronics I cannot recommend Gazelle enough. DONT USE DECLUTTR.
I checked online for a good offer for my used Samsung Note 8 which was in near perfect condition. It was always encased in a UAG case and was lightly used. Decluttr web site stated that they will pay $220 for the phone if it's in "good" condition. I carefully boxed the phone in it's original box and sent it in to accept the offer. Decluttr then sent me an email stating that the phone was not in the described condition. They described the problem as "screen burn", what ever that is, and revised their offer to $22. The phone was working perfectly and there is nothing wrong with the display. Needless to say, I rejected their offer. I read a review from another Decluttr user who had the same issue. I thought maybe the reviewer was inaccurate and because Decluttr is a known name I went ahead and used them anyway. They are a rip-off. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY, you'll be disappointed if you try to sell them a good/used item. BTW, another company paid me $185 for the phone after Decluttr returned is to me.
Prior to sending your phone, I recommend doing your own CheckMEND report. I didn't realize that there could ever be a problem with this kind of check since I have been the sole owner of my phone, purchased in full, with the original receipt. When Decluttr received my phone, they ran the report and an "Asset Watch" caution appeared. It took weeks of battling with CheckMEND to get it cleared from my account (which I was assured unusual to do), but they could provide no evidence of who placed it on an asset list or how to contact said person. This caution flag at first was treated by Decluttr as a red flag, as if the phone was stolen, and I was threatened with no payment and destruction of the device. Eventually, they agreed it was a caution and that it was not currently on the list, however they only offered to pay me half of the original offer because it had possibly previously been listed with a financial interest. My issue with Decluttr was the lowball pricing and lying about it. They claimed that they could not resell the phone with this flag, so they had to offer me less. I was assured from CheckMEND that was false. Of course they could resell it or they would not offer me a dime. They knew I was exhausted and led me to believe that the phone was worthless in order to pay half price. This is a deceptive business practice. Customer service is HORRIBLE and when I tried to get their attention on Facebook, they deleted my message and blocked me.
I order a PS3 an 3 games for my son an my confirmation receipt has my full correct address an some how they forgot to put my apt number on the package so it was delivered to another apt says Ups so I did a claim an Ups approved my claim due to their driver left the package at the wrong apt so know all Decluttr has to due is get in touch with UPs an sign some paperwork due to I'm not the sender of the package like they gotta know how much to refund me I can't fill those papers out so why is Decluttr not getting in touch with Ups this was my sons 12th Birthday present an he is really looking forward to this gift I'm a single mom that don't have money for another gift so we're waiting on my refund to get him a game like this is the worst ever customer service I have ever dealt with order number R*******
FRAUD! This company offered me a buyback price of $25 on a used phone. I sent it to them and they reported back that it "failed" their inspection (for reasons that were FALSE - which they later recanted). They offered a revised buyback price of $2. I declined their revised offer and, per their guarantee, they sent me my phone back free of charge... however, THEY STOLE MY BATTERY! They kept my battery and claimed that they couldn't mail the battery back to me b/c of USPS laws! (WHAT?!?) Ironically (or not so ironically) when you go to their website and get an evaluation on that same phone without a battery... they only offer $2. THEY PLANNED TO STEAL MY BATTERY! What a fraudulous business! They trick customers into sending in phones, steal their batteries and then send back the phones without batteries!
They don't pay squat but I knew that and that's not my issue. I like the easy scanning and prepaid shipping labels.
Send 2 orders of cd and books. Didn't get paid as promised, some deductions and it took like 15 days.
Send order number 3: Xbox games and 10 pounds of clean LEGO. Took many days past the actual receipt of shipment to get a confirmation email from Decluttr. The email stated they would inspect the merchandise and then issue payment. So I waited, went on vacation, still waited and heard nothing. I sent an inquiry through the website and Twitter and heard nothing. I send a second email and got a response saying my order was incomplete- the LEGO is missing! I then asked decluttr to open a claim with UPS. No response, so I went to Facebook and read a post of a very dissatisfied customer, he recommended contacting the Better Business Bureau. I went to the Better Business Bureau website in Atlanta and discovered I wasn't the only one got scammed out of several pounds of Legos then mysteriously went poof. I send a direct message on Facebook asking for resolution and I filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau. Within one day they had found my LEGO and they paid me, almost in full. The BBB really does work and most of the cases get resolved. It's a shame it has to be like that. Decluttr makes plenty of money selling on eBay so no need to scam people.
Very plain and simple. I sent in my phone for a price they agreed on, then they changed the price that they offered me in which I DID NOT AGREE TO. Okay fine, they offered to send it back. PERFECT. BUT NO. They sent me back MINT NEW phone damaged, scratched and dinged up. I have NO IDEA what the heck they did to my phone. For all I know, they could have opened it and taken parts from it or did a switcharoo. But they send me back a SCCREWED up phone in which I could no longer sell as new or in good condition. SUPER SCAMMY, do NOT sell to this company. BIG WARNING.
Tip for consumers:
I will NOT recommended this site. This site made me lose my phones value. Very dirty and poor business practices.

Sent in close to 100 games. They said it was worth $19. Never received payment. Now their page is no longer found. At least they paid for shipping.
Dropped their offer price by 90% after I sent it in. I told them everything wrong with the computer.
Got a phone locked to version when purchased an unlocked phone.
Charger is no name 10 cent USB cable.
I was looking for a quick way to sell some CD's, DVD's and an old cell phone. I came across Decluttr and it appeared to be legit. I used their scanning app to go through all the items I had. They were accepting a majority of them. Although they WAY underpay for the items, it seemed to be very convenient. I packed all the items into one box, but according to their direction packet, the box could not weigh more than 20 lbs. So I split the merchandise into 2 separate boxes, both under 20 lbs. I shipped them according to THEIR instructions. I received a receipt from the UPS store showing that I shipped 2 boxes. A week or so later I received an email from Decluttr stating that they received my shipment. Approximately a week after that I received another email stating that they only received one box. I informed them that I shipped 2 boxes following THEIR directions and even scanned and emailed the UPS receipt. Their customer service pretty much told me "too bad, let us know if you want us to pay you for the box we received". The customer service rep seemed very unwilling to even try to help me in the process to find my merchandise. I do not recommend this company and WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.
I HAD MY GALAXY NOTE 9 CHECKED BEFORE I SENT IT WITH AN OFFER OF $318. I GET AN EMAIL TELLING ME THE SCREEN WAS BURNED AND THEY WOULD ONLY PAY $26. LIARS AND CHEATS. SHOULD BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS.
Completed an order to sell an iPhone 6 for $162.50 and mailed the item exactly as described in that order (iPhone 6,128 MB, poor condition, unlocked - based on the fields available on the website) on 12/29/16. Received delivery confirmation from shipping provider that the item was delivered on 1/3/17. Received only $33 via PayPal with no explanation for the difference from the quoted price. Repeated attempts to contact the company have gone unanswered. Submitted inquiries via the online form on the website on 1/9/17 and 1/18/17. Sent emails to all the listed addresses on the website, as well as, the email address associated with the PayPal payment on 1/9/17,1/18/17 and 1/31/17. Called the number listed on the website, which no one answered and did not provide an option to leave a message (just kept ringing) on 1/31/17.
According the Payment Promise on the website Decluttr.com will "pay the full amount we offer for your Tech or return them for FREE". I did not receive any return of my item.
Further, the website states "In some rare cases, however, we have to revise our offer after our quality assessment process due to the item differing from the description initially provided. If this happens with your order, we'll send an email with our revised offer price. You can then choose to accept our new offer or request your items back for FREE - no questions asked. Just ask us to send it back and we'll return it to the address associated with your account!" First, the item was provided as described in the order and second, I did not receive an email with a revised offer price. I have received no communication whatsoever.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use this site.
So glad your experience went well! Mine has been a total wreck from the date UPS confirmed delivery. It took 3-4 days for them to say they received it after that.
Then, things got worse. The items were promptly looked at and I got a revised offer the next day. I approved within minutes of getting the notification. Then began the waiting.
Now, I'm in some limbo that leaves my entire order in "you approved your offer" status in the app, which is slow and displays different info than their website.
The website indicates my items are "processing" with no other information. Of course, I gave them a chance and contacted support. Big mistake.
The first three times I attempted to use the chat feature on their website, I learned it was a useless bot until it determined you were worth"escalating"to a human. To even get to that point, I had to do an order inquiry with the bot which only offered foreign shipping options as help topics. At this point it's just sketchy.
Then, I waited (1st in line from the moment it opened). The first three attempts ended in frustration after waiting around an hour for anyone to respond on their end. In a chat feature.
Having started this screaming into the void experience 13 days ago, I attempted to get one single living being on chat (no phone number to contact anywhere and slow to no email response). She first implies I'd never actually shipped the items and demanded my proof of shipping receipt, something I was never offered by my shipper nor told to get. Before I could draft a response I received another message demanding the serial number of the old MacBook in the order. You know, the one engraved on the device which they've had for at least a week now?
That experience ended when I asked how I should provide this serial number and the person interrogating me on behalf of Decluttr opted to disconnect. I'm beginning to think trusting this company was a $1,000 mistake.
Tldr; company has been sketchy at best. Beginning to feel like a scam. Support not even knowing my country was one major hint. Half a month without any answers from customer service was another.

They want you to waste so much of your time. They constantly delete your basket and after you have meticulously packed your box with accepted items, your cart is deleted and you have to unpack that box again. Who prepares a box of trade-ins in one sitting? They give you one excuse after another about why your cart is deleted. "saving" your order makes deletion happen even sooner. I have entered this same order twice already and less than 30 hours later, it is deleted a third time. All this for a stinky 25.00. I'm fed up with decluttr. FED UP. Stinky company. Unless you can fill a box of cds in one sitting, don't bother starting. Guess what decluttr? I'm not entering this trade in order a third time. You and your stinky company can go to hell and these cds are going in the trash. PS, word of advice, Most people don't want to sell you CD's so that they can receive one cent. You better add some parameters for your customers because I'm sure others besides myself are sick and tired of wasting ten extra seconds to delete the cd you are offering them a penny for out of their basket. I will NOT waste my time trading anything less than a certain amount and you better tell your software designer to fix your silly software. Or don't. Either way, you already lost me. Not that it matters. The whole reason you delete our carts is because you realized something in the cart lost some value so you would rather inconvenience the customer than honor the price you quoted. As I said, stinky company. Just list your cds on amazon or ebay yourselfs folks. Declutter, you are stupid if you think i will continue re entering merchandise over and over. You know about the problem. You don't care. Well neither do I. It took me over half an hour each time to re do the order. You can go to hell and stay there. Goodbye.
I would recommend taking a photo graph of your phone before shipping. My phone was in perfect before and was returned cracked.
I have been sending in cd's to Decluttr for a wail, just recent they never respone to email, and it has 4 weeks when i sent in my Order. And nothing.
I hate writing these types of reviews, but I feel this is the only thing to be done at this point.
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!
I placed two sale orders that had four items total (3 devices on one, 1 device on the other). I put all four devices in one shipping box and also printed and included both order numbers in the package. When the shipment was received, one order number listed the number of devices received as four instead of three and the other order was listed as "AWAITING YOUR ORDER..." About a day or so later, the number of items for the "received" order updated to three and the other order was still listed as "AWAITING YOUR ORDER...". After chatting and emailing with multiple representatives, providing the IMEI for the fourth device that was associated with the "missing" order, I was told that they never received the fourth device and they would not be able to do anything.
This is incredibly unprofessional and is evident that they essentially stole the device that I turned by not paying out the sell amount. I even requested they return the device to me, but they keep insisting that they never received it.
I was paid out for the other three devices that were on the "received" order, but they are refusing to pay me the $760 that is owed to me.
There are other services out there that are SO MUCH BETTER than Decluttr. I recommend BuyBackBoss.com or even the kiosk that's available in some Wal-Mart locations. At least you'll get some type of payment instead of them simply taking your devices and reselling them without paying.
AVOID DECLUTTR AT ALL COSTS!
If you're looking to make quick cash or just need to declutter, sell your stuff with Decluttr today - we accept phones, CDs, DVDs, games, books, tablets and much more!
