I ordered several Green Giant trees. Azaleas... Rhododendron... Lilac trees... Daylilies... Hostas... Iris and Astible... almsot EVERYTHING arrived with a little green! I planted it all within 24 hours and just 2 weeks later all have new growth! (2 lilies had started to rot a little during shipment and appear not to have survived). Several items arrived in protective green plastic. My only issue with this company would be shipping... my items took a little over 4 weeks to arrive from the day my order was placed... BUT when the order was finally shipped I received an email with the FED EX tracking number and was able to pick it up the day it arrived at my local post office. The delay in shipping is the only reason I gave this company 4 stars instead of 5. All in all I had a positive experience with this company and will order again.
I received an e-mail today from Direct Gardening.com showcasing some amazing looking berries and thought I'd place a small order. Luckily, I decided to check the reviews on-line first. I'm sorry that so many people have had such bad luck with this company but I WILL take this as a learning opportunity and spend my money ELSEWHERE!
When you try to call with a problem, the phone is always busy. I ordered over $700 worth of plants, on separate orders. Waited 6 weeks! Some plants were FINALLY shipped. Most were fine, but some looked like twigs in a sealed bag! That isn't what it showed I was getting. Had my card charged, 2 weeks later no shipment date and no shipment. Emailed to have all of the rest of the orders canceled, was told they were in shipping and couldn't get cancelled. They started shipping one shipment a day 2 WEEKS AFTER THAT! I returned them! I will pay the extra $$$ and buy local from now on because of this! STAY AWAY FROM THEM!
I only ordered 2 items. With the order I was supposed to get complimentary gladiolus. When the package came only one of the items was there... and no gladiolus. The one item that did come was half dead. Idk if it'll survive when I 0want it or not. I called customer service. If I wanted to receive the second item I have to cut the invoice off of the package and mail it to them stating that I didn't receive the entire order. I guess contacting their 'customer service's dept isn't sufficient. I'm to allow 2 weeks for processing and another 2 weeks for them to prepare it for shipping. Ridiculous! With customer service like this I don't hold out any hope that I'd receive a refund. I've ordered from other online nurseries before with great luck. Ordered from here because the prices were good. You get what you pay for... or in my case, I didn't even get what I paid for! Stay far, far away from them!

I ordered a beech tree. The tree was small but I expected this. What I didnt expect was it was in 2 pieces. Broken in half because it was shipped in a green plastic bag. I waited weeks for this tree. After reading the other reviews my hopes of getting a complete and healthy tree are dwindling. Please use someone else who cares if the plants stay healthy and are recieved in good condition.
I ordered two pear trees on August 8th. FedEx delivered them to me with sticks sticking out of delivery bag, broken in pieces September 7. I sent the shipping label back the next day as I was told to do. I was told FedEx tried to redeliver them again on October 5th, that I refused them. I was home, FedEx never came to door. It takes this company way to long to get things right. I was told no refund. Now it's October 19th. No trees. Call back in two weeks they say. 3 months is too long to wait for two trees. This is still on going. I'll update in two weeks.
Order took way too long, I tried three times to call, always busy, I sent emails, they somewhat replied but always hedged with a answer and skirted around the issue, very frustrating, they took my money right away but service is not good, they shouldn't be in business, when my order did arrive it was in a plastic bag, everything loose, rough shape, plants nearly dead, save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere, I'm so sorry I bothered with them and they won't allow you to give them no stars which they deserve
I made my order in June. I received it on October 19th. Plants with dried out roots just thrown in a box, and they substituted other things for what I ordered. Ordered over 200 daylilys. I received something labeled ground cover. I ordered Canadian Hemlock. They sent Siberian elm. These things aren't even anything remotely similar. I demand they return all of my money. I am thoroughly disgusted with this company. Do not trust them. Do not do business with them. Ugh
I waited over 6 weeks for my order to arrive. When it final arrived, DEAD on arrival! Called customer service and they said send in the label. I sent in the label and received it back in the mail with a return after 6 weeks, which I did. But apparently they not only fill orders with dead stock, but they can't count! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SITE!
I placed an order in July and after numerous phone calls promising delivery "soon", I received my order in October. Not ideal for planting in Massachusetts. NOTHING GREW! Over $100 wasted, and about $200 in aggravation!
I ordered 5 pounds of grass seed on March 29th and as of May 19th have not received the product nor any notification of shipping or that the product is not available. Requested refund one week ago and no refund received nor confirmation that a refund will be forth coming.

I wish I had read this website before I ordered from them. I have ordered in March of 21 and still have never received what i ordered. I have tried to contact them over and over again but no answer. They robbed me of 20 dollars which isnt much to some but it means alot to me.
This is the worst experience ever.
I ordered three fucsia plants and some iris bulbs. It took 13 weeks to arrive, and then it was sent regular mail, and took 2 weeks. So obviously the plants were DEAD and the bulbs were just brown skins filled with air. I took photos, and sent a request for a refund. Their insane policy is that you must send back the dead plants at your expense to get a refund. They also demand the shipping label. I did send the label, but they sent it back with no explanation, no refund, no replacement.
I then emailed and asked for a replacement of the DEAD PLANTS. So that email was June 17. Today is JULY 16... one month later, I get an email from them telling me to send the shipping label... the one I already sent and they returned.
I'll just keep getting the runaround until I get too exasperated. Meanwhile, DEAD PLANTS, and no refund or replacements.
DO NOT SHOP HERE. IT IS TERRIBLE. There are plenty of good online plant places. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM
I bought 2 butterfly bushes in June, they arrived dead. I waited then sent them in with the label asking for replacement, about 2 weeks later they sent a email stating they didn't get the lable. I made copies Abe sent thinking a reliable company would fix my complaint. 14 entails later I get one today stating they lost the original and I need to contact the credit card company to prove, I purchased. Now I have pictures of the lable, they are on a line that states my name to them as the one guy told me so. All this for 17.97. I gave sent the first one ay 3.80 the second for 4.97 now I need to send another certified letter... It's costing more than the darn things cost in the first place. NEVER BUY FROM THIS SCREWED UP ORGINIZATION!
I ordered 2 rose bushes in May They said it would ship 3 to 5 weeks after 4 weeks I called to check on the status they notified me that my order will not ship until next year I have requested a refund several times and they have not sent a refund.
Ordered 2 azaleas in April. My credit card was charged last week (end of May) but never received my plants. Their phone always rings busy and they do not reply to emails.
Unfortunately these reviews were found long after the fact. Wasted $160 on dead sticks as well. You must have the original shipping label (not paid invoice) to get a replacement. Buyer beware.
Start your own seed bed it will be much faster than ordering from these people. Ordered on 4/20/2020, card charged one month later, it is now 6/8/2020, no product received YET.
Worst online shopping ever. Takes your money, doesn't deliver goods and send you a card stating they will ship next year. Took 3 months to get the letter. STAY AWAY. Should get 0 star.
Answer: Yes it Is absolutely real. They are thieves. I just called my credit card company to do the dispute becoz they are not responsible for the dead plants they sent to me with all the charges including the shipping fee. This company has to be shut down for their dishonest business. I will fight for it and no more people will be mistreated and cheated.
