Doordash didn't recognize a valid gift card that I applied to an order. OK, I cancelled the order and received an email confirmation of that confirmation. Doordash did not cancel the order with the local company and charged my card. I cancelled for that reason within 1 minute of placing the order and they only refunded me for 75% of the charge and put the balance on credit. I called and reminded them I have used doordash 2 times in the last 5 years and will never use them again...no desire to engage from their side so I will call this out to my bank as FRAUD, which it truly is. Bogus for doordash to rely on draconian "fix the glitch" methods to make money. Wish I could give them zero stars.
I thought I'd try out the service but have never used so am attempting to quit but I can not remove any of my personal information including my credit card number. I have emailed the company. Meanwhile, thought I'd try a chat and the person on other end just keeps asking me why. The fact that I just decided to quit isn't enough. He seems to think something must have gone wrong. No wonder you guys have a bad rating. Which I did not know until now. Just give me back my info!
Placed an order 05/21@ 6.30 PM. Waited until 8 PM but nothing ever came so we contacted Doordash. Had a conversation with a so called agent (I think it was a computer that answered our questions).
First we were been told the address was incorrect (strange, the last time we ordered the food arrived) and after continuing the so called discussion with the "agent" they suddenly changed their tune and said he was at the house@ 7.30 PM but nobody answered the door.
They refused to reimburse us. I would have been willing to give them another try but after this experience, I will never use them again. It`s like a scam and I wonder how they get away with this. Learned a valuable lesson and will just get my lazy butt out of the couch and get my food myself from now on.
I have had three major issues with a refund due to doordash and I still have not received my dash pass refund from over a year or so now waiting right just wow. Most of my issues with doordash is refunds not on time I don't get that they can charge a person so quickly but won't give it back as quickly. I don't recommend this app/website only because you won't see any of the same terms you expect your order/refund to be taken and given back.

The cost is not worth the service. I suggest going and picking up your own food. By the time your food gets to you it's cold and tastes like crap. I wanted to have some ribs from Apple Bees but sadly does not offer delivery :( If I place my order direct with the restaurant and pick up it up myself its $42.00 plus a little of my time. With Door Dash its $72 and a lot of waiting. I believe the drivers don't give a "F***" about there customers and they sure don't care about the restaurants reputation. If I own an establishment I would think Twice about using door dash for delivering my food to anyone. In the long run you will lose business. Just my opinion. Customer Service SUCKS !
I ordered food at midnight from Miller's in Sterling, VA. Put all info in the website then Doordash guy sent me 4 text messages asking me for apt #. I did not see the messages but 20 minutes later although I was attentive with the phone. Guy dropped the food somewhere in the street, took a dodgy photo (no food bag in it) and marked it "delivered" in Miller's system. And they complained about tips. Last time I order anything where Doordash is concerned.
I've had multiple problems with DoorDash, none of them have been adequately sorted out. They offer credits if you have a problem but then you hit another problem and if you try and get your money back they write you off. My most recent issue was a problem with the app. It told me that my order was cancelled (which was annoying enough) but then the food turned up an hour and a half late. I provided screen shots of the app issues only to be told that they wouldn't do anything about it. I've also received food with hair in it, cold food and an extreme lack of service. Don't bother... try Uber eats instead, much more reliable.
Ordered breakfast with the bill coming to $22 and some change. My card was charged for $27.28. I called and was told that the extra that was charged to the card was a "hold" in case there were any charges for changes that the Doordash driver could have made on the order. Totally unacceptable. You put your phone number in and when there is an issue they are supposed to call you. Not add to the amount being charged. After the delightful young lady told me this, she then disconnected. Prices are already out the roof. Still having issues with the rep hanging up. Won't be doordashing any further. What a crooked company this has become.
Honestly, the product/food is not the issue. Some of the drivers dress like they should be working in a strip club is just a little less than professional. Even saw a guy walk up in wife beaters. Way to teach the younger generation that appearance matters when you're working. Very disappointing that this company could care less about how their drivers look.
I used to love door dash.
I'm a stay at home mom 5 days a week and actually rely on food delivery services on days when I just have too much to do to try and prepare food.
Tonight I went without dinner because of door dash.
I only had $20 in my account and used it to order food for myself.
After waiting I checked my phone and saw that door dash was saying my food was delivered.
I tried contacting driver with no response, I tried reporting food undelivered and the link to start chat wasn't working. I sent a message to doordash explaining situation and got an email stating I was getting a partial refund.
I'm pissed. Not only did i go without dinner, I also don't have money in my account for 3-5 business days and actually paid someone tonight for nothing.
They will never see a dime from me again, and if I were you I would use uber eats where they actually care about you.
After over an hour talking to customer service, the issue was never resolved. I was promised credits that were never received. My kids went hungry as they were unable to fix issues on the account so an order could be placed. TERRIBLE service.

It used to be that whenever an order came incorrectly made, or the driver spilled things, or I waited and waited only to be cancelled on, that DD would compensate you in some way for the inconvenience and poor experience. Now they just end chats if you even ask. Cheap company that rakes in billions in revenue each year...

Late delivery then Missing food
I am very disappointed I was offered 6.45$ for missing food plus sauce that would have completed my husbands'-dinner, plus other fees I had paid out.
Now I get 6.45$ in credit weather I like it or not. This amount is so pitiful, I will have to re-order somewhere else then pay out so much more. This is so sad 6.54$ wow, I guess lost one customer is no big deal, right?
I will delete the app the minute my foods arrive over 2 1/2 hours and driver tells me he just got call 2 hours after i placed order he waited long time for restaurant to make a simple salad just ridiculous between tip and service fees $35.00 never again
Security issues with driver - ignored and just offered credit. When I asked to speak to supervisor - told it would take 24hours. When attempted to leave a survey at end of call to say I was extremely dissatisfied how service was handled and pressing the prompted #5 on my keypad- it kept stating it did not accept my response - after 3 times disconnected my call.
I can prove what we ordered and what we got (unfortunately a meal much smaller that was so spicy hot it was inedible). Meal ruined for the whole family.
Had to contact door dash two times (first one was ignored) to finally being told I will not being refunded.
What do you prefer: get the right order and go pick it up yourself or loose $60 and no meal?
Tired of allowing these people to just take my money and decide whether they can help. I called the times over one order two for the next and 2 times now. They said they can help for their own fault. I did a review for doordash somewhere else before getting my food or receipt. My order was correct and delivered in the estimated time frame. However, I took advantage of the free delivery ad for your first order, and opted to put a $0 tip on my card as I like to tip with cash. After viewing my final receipt I see the delivery fee is marked free, the tip is $0 but there's a $2.08 "service fee" what the heck is this? Kinda defeats the purpose of getting free delivery. This entire order was about $. 25 more than it would have been using Grub hub even with their $2.00 delivery fee. Sorry, I didn't take any pictures of my food, I ate it!
I usually don't write bad reviews, but this was an extremely bad experience. I ordered food through Doordash last Friday for delivery Monday at noon. An hour before lunch was suppose to start, and 30 minutes before the order was to be delivered, I received an email from Doordash stating that my order had been cancelled with no reason given. I thankfully able to order directly from the restaurant and rectify the situation. However, this experience has left a bad impression on the company overall and we will not be ordering through Doordash again.
Order a burrito from Chipotle Mexican Grill from Baum Blvd in Pittsburgh Pa. They (door dash) delivered a bag in doorway and took off... I asked to hand it to me... I opened and found a dish with chicken and veggies, but no shell. I went to Door Dash website and typed in my problem and the answer sorry not enough for a refund. OK great Door Dash, I will eat what I got, but last dollar and $4 tip you will get from me. I was going to also give the driver $5 cash, but he dropped and ran. Took my order and money. No delivery. Delivery guy called me said I had to cancel order, 50 minutes later. He could not get my food. Felt with customer service 3 times and still no refund! This was 7 days ago!
This was my first time using the service, and very well might by my last. If the Dasher does not speak English, how are customers supposed to EFFECTIVELY communicate instructions? (Google Translate only helps but so much). This is how mistakes are made and creates frustration between both parties. The true icing on the cake is the manner in which my groceries were delivered. The groceries were left outside my door un bagged, and my bag of grapes had a broken seal. How am I to know if the grapes were tampered with or not?
My order somehow was delivered to the wrong address they told the driver and he stated oh well I need to leave it here not my problem. So now I'm out food and money. I will never use this service again.

My first experience using DoorDash, and it was extremely disappointing. The delivery person did not ring our door bell, left the food on our doorstep. The pizza and soup were consequently cold. The final price was $7 more than I was quoted. Then I found chicken on my caesar salad that I did not order. I cannot find any provision to contact DoorDash to complaint and dispute my bill. I am grateful for my friend's gift card to use DD. Now I have to discreetly advised my friend to stay away from DD.
I ordered food and used DoorDash for the first time. Our food was left down the street and a picture of the porch was clearly the wrong address. When we got there the food was gone. I called the driver contact and the number was bad. DoorDash denied a reorder but offered me a refund. The refund will take 3-6 business days (over a week) til my $60 hits my account! Unacceptable! How do they stay in business?
If I could give door dash 0 stars I would! They are terrible with customer service. If you place an order and it comes to you wrong or bad, the business you ordered from tells you to contact door dash. Door dash basically tells you that your SOL and out the money you just spent and you will not be getting even a replacement for the items at another time. So no one takes responsibility and you as a consumer will receive nothing. Flushing your money down the toilet would be more sufficient then ordering from door dash. Your company is terrible and it would be STUPID for me to continue to order using your service if you won't do anything to fix the issue.
