If I could give a negative 100, I would. Doordash tried to blame a local restaurant for something that is clearly an issue with their drivers and refused to refund a meal I had to toss out due to it being 2 hours late. When I requested to deactivate my account, I got hung up on. Then I got transferred to 3 different departments before they sent me to the correct one and was finally able to delete my account an additional hour later. I'm furious. Just use Uber Eats, y'all. Much better, seamless service and it's honestly a better developed and more efficient app.
I'd give a -10 stars if I could. We've never gotten a delivery out of the dozen orders we've placed without having to chase the driver around the apartment complex because they have no idea where they're going 100% of the time. Do your drivers know how to freaking use GPS?! And today we got nothing at all! Seriously, don't use it.
Placed a total of 5 orders through DoorDash over a few months and everything is always wrong, cold, and missing items. To have to pay a delivery fee, service fee, tip on top of the food prices already being more expensive is absolutely ridiculous and not worth the money. 4 out of 5 orders have been messed up and missing items. I'm talking a complete meal missing that I paid $10-$15 for. DoorDash has given me a credit each time, but after today, truthfully I don't want a credit. I'd prefer a refund on my card so I can delete their app and be done with them. I feel like bags should be at least checked to ensure all food items that are paid for are in the bag! It's not that difficult.
If you don't mind not receiving your money back for items that are never delivered then this company might be for you- otherwise just avoid at all costs. I've had multiple orders recently either completely missing items or just wrong orders and doordash refuses to refund me because they've refunded me before for their trash service. If I complain about my missing items and wrong orders, instead of punishing me by stealing my money, perhaps they should contact these businesses/drivers and see what's going on. There's a reason they have such negative reviews and are not BBB accredited.
I have used door dash twice in the past two weeks. The first time the delivery was wrong. They delivered the wrong order and I am still waiting for them to contact me. No apologies no response to my complaint. The second time today. The rudest driver who wouldn't listen to instructions for delivery even telling me I would know when he is there by the gps and leave him alone. What happened? Five minutes later he is calling me lost like it is my fault screaming in his broken English. I almost didn't want the food because who wants something from someone with an attitude. Please god don't let door dash ever deliver something else for me. Never. I will starve first.
DoorDash is the worst, their drivers are lazy and they are liars. Use another service like Grub Hub if u need food delivered. I didn't get my food twice now in the same week. I was told by the very limited English speaking rep that they would submit an incident report on the driver but a lot of good that does me. No food and yet to see a refund.
I have been having problems with my credit card being processed by DoorDash for almost two months. It's the only vendor/store that will not process my card. And DD either doesn't know why or refuses to tell me. My credit card issuer tells me the issue is on DoorDash's end. I've spent countless hours on the phone with and emailing people at DD who speak English very poorly and just keep placating me that they will help me fix my problem...which is total BS. They haven't helped at all. They keep telling me they're escalating the issue, then I don't hear back from them for a week and my case has "ended". What a joke. This company is garbage through and through.
Said it would be half an hour before we would get our food. 10 mins late and they didn't even have a driver. I just lost out on 25 dollars that I wont get back till next week. Do not waste your time and your money on this God awful service.
Somehow Doordash started auto-populating my delivery address with addresses of recently viewed restaurants. Which caused two orders to be lost. The first one was refunded. The second one - denied. $144... They literally delivered the second order to another restaurant! Then, when they called and I gave them correct address (less than 2 miles away) they said it's "too far" and just left it there... Unbelievable! Now, back the cause of the problem. Who in their sane mind would have thought it was a good idea for the delivery address in my profile to be so easily changed?! Why auto-populate it with addresses of the restaurants?! Who really even came up with that option?!
Our family waited hours for food delivery. Turns out our driver was far away after having picked up our food from a nearby restaurant. Door dash rerouted their driver so you can never depend on getting your food... if ever. Very disappointing and inconsiderate to hungry families.

Answer: First, DoorDash collects a tip BEFORE you get service. I always tip, so should you. Ubereats lets you tip AFTER you get service - better. Caveat - getting your tip back from DoorDash for bad service is almost impossible.
