“DoorDash refused to refund my money!”

DoorDash refused to refund my money on an order and refused to deliver the order or any future orders! To put it mildly, I'm not happy! What happened is that DoorDash suddenly started glitching for my address and while the correct address has been submitted for my orders, they are now sending my orders to a town 25 minutes away! They also do this if I order directly from a restaurant who has chosen to use DoorDash for delivery, so this is extra inconvenient! So not only do I have to avoid using DoorDash, I have to check with restaurants and make sure they don't use DoorDash for their deliveries. And now I have a "credit" that I can't spend. Thanks a lot DoorDash! I've paid DoorDash five figures over the years, yet both phone calls and chats on this problem were completely useless. No one cared.

These people will rob u I didn't get half my things and they refuse to refund any of my money thumbs down. I don't recommend this place to nobody they are getting rich by robbing people horrible company

So not only do I have to avoid using DoorDash, I have to check with restaurants and make sure they don't use DoorDash for their deliveries. And now I have a "credit" that I can't spend. Thanks a lot DoorDash!

I've paid DoorDash five figures over the years, yet both phone calls and chats on this problem were completely useless. No one cared.

Live and work in the Rapid City area. Don't always have time to cook, but after a dozen or so issues with this I'm done. In the last three months alone: I've had two orders stolen, at least four where the main items were missing or just wrong, and several issues with drivers delivering to the wrong address.
I understand that delivering to an apartment complex, so I try to make my subtext as specific as possible to help make it as precise as possible and avoid confusion. Yet time and again, I have multiple issues with drivers just not bothering to read the delivery instructions or just being lazy and getting close and calling it good.
Tack on that every time there's an issue, support is either actively unhelpful or spends longer deflecting than it took to deliver the order. Today, I waited for nearly an hour for my order, only for it to arrive stone cold and with the wrong drink. My driver didn't even bother to read the ticket and deflected when I asked how he could get the entire thing so obviously wrong. Support was only willing to compensate for the order being cold, and only at $3 compensation. I'm done using these guys. I would never recommend them and I can't in good conscience do it here.

They always find a bait-and-switch way to overcharge you. It doesn't matter what payment you authorize; they'll hike up the final payment. If you complain, they'll give you a credit for a future order, which let's them scam you again. They never offer a refund.Avoid, avoid, avoid.

They employees do what they want and DoorDash does nothing about it they steal and they don't want to own up to it. The service suck the company is trash. Employee stole my package and they did nothing about it at all. Took my $500 dollars shoes and switched it with cheap $20 dollars shoes

Wish I could give negative stars. Placed an online order for pickup, but when I got to the restaurant, they uncrumpled the receipt they had for me and then they informed me that they didn't have 90% of the food I ordered and could not fulfill the order. I left without a single item of food, but they charged me anyway. I contacted them for a refund and they informed me that the restaurant made the food, and it was picked up. WHICH IS A LIE. How can they make food they didn't have for me to pick up? They will not refund me. Scam artists. Jumping through hoops to get MY money back is ridiculous. Will not use doordash ever again.

DoorDash is a joke. It pays drivers bare minimum to put thousands of miles on their personal vehicle. I put almost 60,000 in one and a half years. Do not recommend anybody use this platform to deliver or purchase. These Asians are making a killing off of the lazy American people. And if I'm being quite honest for every single disrespectful customer there was I remembered their address and you better believe I spit in their drink or farted feces on their food. Hope they enjoyed that. Sorry not sorry That's why you don't mess with people that know where you live. You want to treat a stranger stupid karma's a MF

I ordered Pie from one place and ice cream from another. It was delivered to the wrong address. I could see them going the wrong way on the app and tried to contact them through the website but it was too late. It had already been delivered to the wrong place. So they said they would redeliver. They didn't tell me it was too late to get the pie until I saw on the app they didn't pick it up and inquired. Once again I could see on the app the driver leaving my area without coming here and contacted them again. They had again delivered it to the wrong place and though they promised me a refund and at least didn't charge me for the pie, they did charge me for the ice cream. I had to go through my credit card company to dispute the charge. Uber gives you a number you have to give to the driver to get your order, so they can't really deliver it to the wrong place. Also when you can the tell driver is lost you have a number to call them. Much better. I will never use door dash again.

Don't ever buy any merchandise through DoorDash! We purchased a crib and mattress that didn't function and tried to return it. The Dasher goes into the store pays for everything at target with our credit card does not get a receipt and delivers the merchandise to us. Now come to find out target won't take it back and refund us our money because it isn't showing in their system because it was paid for with our DoorDash account. DoorDash won't give us a refund as they said they can't do that, it isn't allowed. Are you kidding me?! I am so disgusted with DoorDash and their service. I canceled my account and will never use them again. Buyers beware do not trust DoorDash!

Doordash said order was delivered based on GPS, no refund given, either driver took order or GPS wrong. Don't use this company.

I have had nothing but problems with this company, doordash. They keep trying to charge my card. I asked them to stop and they tried 4 times today. Always a problem.

This would be a zero star rating. DoorDash does not compensate for items ordered undelivered if you order directly from restaurant. I ordered bagels from Panera. Panera uses DoorDash to deliver. DoorDash did not deliver the items I ordered to me. I called Panera, they told me to contact DoorDash. I contacted DoorDash and was told THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO. When I responded that was unacceptable, couldn't most drivers then get away with not delivering the product, DoorDash ended the chat conversation.

This app used to be a pleasure to use. However, over recent months, I have had so many issues with this platform.

The most recent issue is an order that was placed and the hours of the restaurant said they were operating and open. After placing the order, I called to check on my order directly with the restaurant and they said they closed 30 minutes early that particular night. Therefore, I was never going to get my order and I would've sat and waited all night. Mind you, I've sat and waited all night on two more DoorDash orders just to much later be told that they had no Dashers available to deliver my order.

Therefore, this time, after placing my order, I called just to make sure they're going to deliver my order.

The restaurant said they closed 30 minutes early and they apologized but they said I would need to cancel my order with DoorDash, which I did.

I called the DoorDash representative and explained the situation and the representative said that they would refund my money.

I'm looking back through my bank statements now, about a month later, and I realize I never received my refund! After contacting DoorDash support today, they said you won't be getting a refund now because it's too late. They said there is nothing they can do for me. So I never got my order and DoorDash will not refund my $30!

Avoid doing business with DoorDash at all cost!

The drivers eat your food! & deliver it super late.Food is cold ate out of, & all doordash offer is 5bucks! I have children left hungry, as the driver ate out of the food n it's cold.I have pictures with fork still inside plate of food! Don't order with doordash! They also try n run your card without your permission! Doordash is full of scammers.They take your money & rudely play on the phone & horrible customer service..

Doordash customer service is atrocious! They basically stole my kids food & money ..Now we are left hungry

Recently the Door Dash driver took a picture of my order delivered to the wrong address, I live in an apartment building and this was clearly someone else's house porch with a big white pottery vase, and a sign, Welcome To Ukrane!

I spoke to customer service and I asked is my correct address on my account because I see it there but maybe something's wrong with your web site. She said no she sees my correct address on my account and she said it was the driver's mistake and that it could be a GPS problem.The driver actually texted me saying that they made a mistake and then said it was my fault!

I told customer service that I don't want that driver ever again so she said she was blocking him from me. About two days later I had a very good Door Dash delivery driver from a Dairy Queen and he followed the right instructions that are on my account to call me when they are about to deliver my order, he arrived pretty much on time and was nice and friendly so I gave him a 5 star rating.

Well unbelievably just a few days after the first driver delivered my order to the wrong address, another delivery driver delivered my order from a totally different take out place to that exact same wrong house porch and took the picture!

This other driver sent me a text message saying that they were here but that they couldn't find my apartment and they took a picture far away from one of the buildings, I had gone up and down the stairs from my third floor looking outside my front and back building doors but nobody was there.

When I went back up stairs the second time I looked on my account to see if he had delivered my order because he didn't even call me and in addition to that being my instructions on my account, I sent him text messages asking him to please deliver to my correct address and to please call me at my phone number when he was ready to deliver my order, he said OK, and then said he speaks Spanish.

I saw a picture of my order outside of what looked like my building, he then left me a nasty message saying he left it there because he wasted time delivering my order!

I called customer service and rightfully complained again and they said they were giving me a refund but I'm not certain that they really did.

I removed every app on my phone and tablet for any take out places that deliver using Door Dash and I will never use anyone who uses them ever again. So far I have used Grubhub more than a few times including recently and they never delivered my orders to the wrong addresses.

3 Different Times From 3 Different Stores, I Had Delivery Drivers That Didn't Follow Instructions

3 different times from 3 different stores, I had delivery drivers that didn't follow my Corona virus safety instructions that is written in details on my super market's site, and on their site for orders from Wendy's and Taco Bell, and all 3 times ludicrously the delivery drivers don't speak any English so you can't even communicate with them!

They also delivered the wrong order from Taco Bell but I called DoorDash customer service and they said keep that order and then they sent the correct one.

My specific instructions are to please have the delivery driver call me 5 minutes before they arrive so I can avoid any contact and put a bag in between the outside building door because my apartment building's intercoms are broken for years now and they never fixed them, and then please have my order left outside my third floor apartment door. The only local grocery store that I can get delivery services from unfortunately uses DoorDash, and I'm getting another delivery on Tuesday evening and I'm really afraid this is going to happen again.

The last time I got groceries delivered from my grocery store using them, it took the guy almost 10 minutes to understand he has to bring my packages up to my apartment, he didn't speak English and he just showed up without calling me 5 minutes before.

A few nights ago my grocery store made sure that my delivery driver spoke English thank goodness.

Door dash has deliberately set up a system where they can keep a lot of your refunds. Their driver spilled an expensive drink & made a mess in a building on his way to me. He didn't try to clean it up. He didn't report it as he said he would. I heard him yelling violent foul language at himself in because he forgot to hang up a call.

Door Dash claimed they could not refund me for the juice or give me a credit for my trouble directly. They claimed I could tell the store, the store would get a refund and give it to me. This appears to be a clever way to not pay refunds. In spite of repeated efforts, it did not work.

They also kept $100 of mine today. Their system is so dysfunctional & confusing it caused me to put an order all they way through by mistake. I cancelled it one minute later. It was for pick up about an hour later. I know that restaurant. They did not start on it. They were jammed.

I had put a future order through for five days ahead. They already started a charge.

FYI, you cannot seem to really order from two restaurants for delivery together like another service does. Even if the second restaurant is on the way to your place, everything is cold and you'd pay extra. Their DoubleDash is one restaurant delivery & a thing or two from a convenience store nearby?

I placed an order that was missing two items when it arrived. I contacted DoorDash via the site, since there's no way for you to actually talk to a person. They said they'd give me a $3.00 credit on future orders. SERIOUSLY? That won't even cover the TAX that I paid on the missing items, let alone the items themselves. I will never, ever order anything with them again, because they are heartless thieves who don't care one whit for their customers.

The drivers can take their time going to get your order then drive your food around picking up other orders and you get to watch your delivery time get longer and longer.

Tip for consumers:
When your order goes past the promised delivery time. You have to accept it and take the risk of your food having bacteria growing on it because the temperature gets in the danger zone. Don’t use them.

Received too many missing items and really horrible Long John Silver food. I knew better than to order in the evening. Ordered two platters, side of hush puppies. Didn't receive any seafood or the chicken. Hush puppies were extremely hard. Everything was very greasy. Complained to door dash customer service. They were unsympathetic. Refunded 3.00 on 40.00 + meals. They kept changing the delivery time. I told them, I absolutely would never use their service again. I never have since. Would never recommend this company.

They delivered the 3 wrong dishes on two separate deliveries and they compensated me for the one only. They denied compensation or redelivery for the other two...implying I complain too much as a customer...so now I have to accept any delivery?
They didn't even check with the restaurant to verify what I was saying they implied denied

I had a door dash order from Checkers, 30$, it added up to 19$, but oh well. It took 1 hr 30 minutes for it to get here and Checkers is 3 minutes from me. The guy showed up to my backdoor, no bell back there, I only saw him cause I came in my hallway and saw this strange man at the back door. He tried to give me ice cold burgers n fries and pop with melted ice in it. I did not accept the order from Osariemen, oh and I kept calling him but he never answered *******426. Looked on my back porch just now n saw he left the food sitting in the steps, the rabbits are enjoying it

You're a driver and your acceptance rating falls below 70% for whatever reason it could be because you didn't accept it quick enough because you're driving you won't get a lot of offers you could spend three hours and get one delivery plus the fact there's no benefits no pay waste gas money not the end of the year you end up paying more than what you are so horrible company to work for
