. We arrived to Easirent to pick up an SUV that was prepaid via Priceline. We have 2 adults and 4 kids. Upon delivering the vehicle to us, the agent said we must rent seat belts. We declined and my wife and 2 five years old left to her parents house nearly. I had to go back in the long line to get to the counter. The same agent said he wouldn't give me the car because he did not see my wife left. I complained to Priceline who said Easirent told them it showed the car was picked up. This is a blatant lie and I demanded proof where it showed when it was picked up and returned because I was denied a prepaid car that resulted in me having no rental car.
I was disappointed with this company and with driving around Tampa, in general. I thought I was getting a good deal when I rented a car with them for 10 days for $345 via Expedia. When I showed up, they charged me an extra $450 for required insurance including $12 per day for a toll package. I opted out of the toll package which, in the end, did turn out to be the right way to go. But tolls are also a scam in Tampa because it's sometimes hard to know whether or not you are getting on a tollway. I know that I blew through one toll for sure and easirent charged me $30 for that. But, now they've charged 2 more $30 charges for tolls that I never knew I had. This still is better than paying for the $120 toll package.
Use a burner credit card that you can cancel after working with this company if you don't want to have toll bills coming at you for weeks afterwards!

Rented car through them in Fort Myers FL, they said Fort Myers airport in the airport but unfortunately the company "easirent" was outside the airport and the most horrible about it that we have to wait for the shuttle to take us to the rental place about an hour in the 96 degrees outside! Lesson learned never book with Priceline neither easirent!
The rental process is slow and takes a long time. By the time I got to the counter I ready to scream but Tina disarmed me and made the rest of the experience ok. The car rode good and performed as expected. Add extra time when renting from them and hopefully you have a Tina to help you because you will be pissed. The overall experience was ok.
It took 4 hrs to get to their location because all they had was 1 pickup driver from the airport. They will falsely charge your card for unauthorized fees and rental insurance. Don't rent from them or Expedia. They are scammers and their customer service agents are rude and slow. Worst car rental company.
We reserved a car from the Fort Lauderdale airport and while standing in their office with 5 of us and luggage they said they have no cars and Don't have a clue as to why. Suggested we shuttle back to the airport to find something. What a joke this company is
This place is a rip off. They overcharge for the deposit, that they don't tell you you do not get back. I have called for two days in a row the counter and no one has answered. Ever. My calls are being disconnected on their end. And the exact same thing with the corporate. I've called corporate four times now and each time tells me what place I am in line to be answered and then when it gets to what's supposed to be my turn it rings and rings and rings and then is disconnected. This place is not legit at all
People please be careful with this company. I rent the car from them and I brought all documents like passport, driving license, bank statement BUT they asked about proof of address (utility bill, etc), and it MUST BE paper, although today we receive almost everything online. My booking has been cancelled and I lost money, no chance for refund because the reason was no documents. Guy on reception was rude and unhelpful. The worst experience ever! And defo I do not recommend!
If I can give zero I would bad service, I got charged for having them shuttle me from the airport to the rental place. Plus I had my own insurance but was still charged 20.00 a day for liability insurance. They may be cheaper but watch out for the hidden fee's not worth it. Better to just get a car straight from the airport.
I rented from easirent in Houston TX. They did not advise that I had to call them for airport pickup (I waited until someone else assisted). Finally on 3rd attempt, I was provided with a rental that had front end damage. The male rep indicated with a circle on rental doc (had problems with the female). The day after I returned vehicle with same male rep - no conversation about front end damage that was indicated at time of rental, I was contacted by 3rd party about noted damage. The provided pics (by easirent) show image of the unprofessional "ghetto"?ayisha-the female? Who I refused to deal with further during rental (guess she is getting me). Needless to say, 3rd party also unprofessional. Now, just short of 30 days, I have not heard anything further from them - NOT EVEN an I am sorry. So, now i must reach out. This company is not worth your time or money. Another thing I did not like, you do not walk out with paper work...it comes in an email sometime later - bad business!
I booked a rental car through Expedia found out this was not located in the airport of Houston. It was located at a hotel offsite. We had someone with us that was in a wheelchair. They provided a shuttle that was not handicap accessible. Me and my husband had to split up. I went to get the car had a problem because the reservation was in his name. They charged me more money now for a second driver, because he was not there to pick up the car. Then they asked me for a declaration page from the insurance company, which we do not travel with and did not have with us so then they charge the extra fee for that, this took a total of three hours from beginning to end as my husband and son at the airport outside, waiting for me to return to pick them up after three hours. This was a total nightmare. I was very unhappy and unsatisfied Customer.
I had reservations for 2 cars in Orlando (for a total of 16 passengers) that were made thru Expedia/AARP Travel. Our flight was delayed and when I called the number for the shuttle pickup, I received a message they were CLOSED. My confirmed reservations did not indicate their hours of operation and since they accepted a late night reservation, I expected they were open late. Apparently, this is not the case. When I called the next morning to arrange to pick up the cars, I was told that since we were a "no show" the prepaid reservations had been cancelled, with no refunds available. This is not right! AARP is not able to assist with this situation. When I called Easirent they continually transfer me to a voice mail that is too full to accept any more messages. What a SCAM business. NEVER do business with this company. I have reached out to my credit card company since no services were provided.
We booked an Easirent car through Travelocity, we payed insurance through Travelocity and set up a pickup appointment time. When we got to the Easirent facility in Tampa Florida we had to wait 1.5 hours to be served and they made me pay insurance eventhough I already payed through Travelocity. They also made me pay for an easy pass eventhough I did not need one. I tried multiple times to contact the company only to have their local company not answer the phone or their corporate company phone service hang up on me.
Thanks to a mechinacal issue, we arrived 1,5 hrs late to PBI. We were immediately greeted with some huffing and puffing that we as well as some other group were late which was again out of our control. He then proceeded to try to separate us because she could not have a conversation with the group, told us that we now didn't have a reservation anymore in an order to get our reservation back we had to pay another $40. He also needed another $250 deposit, as well as our personal car insurance information even though it was rented through a credit card. It was a one-man show and then one man was obnoxious rude and beyond unprofessional. When we refuse to pay a late fee because again we weren't returning or a car late we were getting our car late he became ridiculously crude. We had the contract, it didn't say anything in the contract even though he kept referring to the contract. STAY AWAY! On phone with credit car company to get our money back for a car that we did not get
A typical rental u return the car they release the hold well not them 3 weeks they hold your deposit and I have attempted to call them 3 times as soon as you get to be caller 9 after 1 1/2 hr hold it hangs up THIS PLACE SUCKS
The staff there is stupid and rude. They have no qualms about keeping people waiting for the most ridiculous reasons.
The process there is incredibly stupid. They make you sign a paper contract and then scan it. The scanner is incredibly slow and ancient because everything there is slow and ancient. The place looks like a third world office complete with dusty junk sitting around everywhere and third world lighting.
The also demand proof of insurance is you want to waive their insurance requirement but of course you don't find out until you are at the counter.
I would not even give them 1 star. This is a totally worthless zero star crap company.
As soon as we walked into the building it was so hot. My boy friend and i where then crammed into this tiny, hot room with about 10 other people. The wait for the shuttle was long let alone the time it took the employees to get through the amount of people they had in the room. We were then hit with about 4 fees even though after I paid on the website it said I owed nothing. The car is dirty on the outside decent on the inside and drives fine. I would never recommend anyone to this place.
I wish there is a button for not giving any stars. Same as other people stated how they scam and rip you off in million ways.
Also i am pretty sure those "positive" comments are paid and I really hope this company will get closed down asap. It will be my birthday wish every year.
To conclude: Unbelievably RUBBISH
I won't write a book because everyone else pretty well sums up this so called business. But... I will say we made tons of calls to their number given and even hit each extension but no one even answered! Shuttles don't run like message indicated. Their 15 minutes was more like every hour. When turning car in left a couple things in back of car. Less than 24 hours later I called a ton more times for someone to finally answer to only; be told that they do not keep items they discard. REALLY?! They had our number to call! Never, ever will I ever deal with this so called place again. Shame on me for not paying any attention to customers reviews! Lesson learned!
Lot's of hidden charges that are not explained, mentioned or highlighted when renting (as example - 50£ fee for processing a fine if you lucky to get one) that can zero your balance even if you have 100% full insurance.
The worst!
Answer: To whom it may concern, This is the complaint letter I sent to those whom I thought could help my wife and I solve an issue that we found to be Very troubling. It involved an employee at the Jacksonville Easienrt, specifically the manager named Franky. Priceline Booking Number 202-281-644-38 Easirent Reference Number 1863754 Easirent Wally Park, Jacksonville, FL airport We went to pick-up our rental on February 15th, 2020 and had all the information we were told to bring (credit card, drivers license). The young man, Franky waiting on us, informed us we needed proof of our auto insurance which we did not bring because we were not asked to bring it. When we challenged that he informed us that local rules can require them to ask for proof of insurance. We have Erie Insurance and at this time on a Saturday they are closed and not open on Sunday. The manager, Franky, said we couldn't have the car without proof of insurance. We told him we would call and give them that information on Monday and he said ok. Then he blindsided us about the in-kind coverage on our credit card which we thought we had but would check with Bank America, his response made us feel threatened and also taken advantage of. Again, none of this was mentioned on any of the documents. It was hard to understand Franky at times which only made the situation worse so my wife took over. Once again, we were told we couldn't take the car without the proof of insurance, which also was never mentioned on the paperwork. My wife explained we would call them on Monday with the information so the charges that we paid extra for, would be taken off once that information was given Franky and that would be ok. We signed off and waited for the car, which was not what we asked for. It looked like the worst one on the lot and the windows were very dirty and very hard to see out of the windows because of the stickers on the side window. On Monday, as promised., we called Erie to get the information for our insurance and also Visa to make sure we had the in-kind benefit. Both of these services were to be taken off our bill once the information was suppled. Called 1-888-901-5121 on Monday the 17th twice, once busy and 2nd time hung up on after we told them we were calling with the information they needed. Called again Tuesday the 18th and kept getting busy signals. Not only was this a terrible experience initially, but customer service once they knew why we called, decided to hang up and not answer the phone after they saw the number. Thankfully, the return went smoothly and very glad the person who waited on us was helpful. The rep at the desk upon return, Dasha, informed us that all she has to do is ask for proof, if not available then it would have been accepted, that being two adults in there 70's would have insurance.
Answer: I want someone on the phone from Easirent to explain to me why they aren't the fraud they clearly are...
Answer: They tried to charge me an extra £120 on arrival to upgrade as they'd run out of cars of the booked class. Argued and argued but they only threatened to call the police to remove me from their office. Had to pay £55 for a taxi and wasted an hour and a half.
Answer: Depends on the size but i was about £27 each for just a 2 day car hire. And i had to fit them both myself! What a company.
