The guy at the counter, said his name was David Guzman. He was the most rude, inconsiderate person I have ever met. He tried to rip us off because we were late picking up the car, (Flight Delays) He wanted to charge $180.00 more than the agreed upon price. The couple behind us was literally 1 minute late and he told them the same thing. When I didn't agree to his "new" price he said he was cancelling our rental. Right there in the office I rebooked it again on my phone and showed him my new confirmation number, He refused to honor the new booking. Long story short, We got an UBER and went to another rental agency where we received exceptionally friendly treatment. I will NEVER rent from Easirent. Too bad they don't have a ZERO overall rating button.
They try to let you have a more expensive car (diesel with navigation).
If u refuse you''l get such a car anyway, because they don't have the cheap cars at all.
Then they force you to buy a very expensive insurance. (2 or 3 times the price of the car).
I booked Easirent through Ryanair, full insurance included.
Easirent wanted a deposit via creditcard of GBP 1250,- otherwise no car.
Beacause it was very late we had to agree with the expensive insurance.
No more Easirent for us. Never!
Never ever come to Easirent. You will never just pay what you think you have booked. They find all ways to charge and charge you. Firstly, they will threaten you to buy additional insurance. Then the petrol which we were charged for a non-full tank.
Worst was when we parked the car on return, the car was scratched while we were in the office returning the key! We were charged exorbitantly for a scratch that can be removed with just a polish wipe. The employees are just like gangsters where we can't really talk back.
Reserved car on priceline. Total around $92 for 4 days (should have known it was too good to be true). Used debit card (money comes out immediately and no charge on their part for use), was told there would be a $70 charge to use the card and I HAD to be put on as a second driver even though I wasn't driving the vehicle (husband was). Tried to get me for the insurance but I had a copy of my policy to show my insurance covers it (they werent expecting that). All in all total price after all of the "other fees" was $251. On top of that we waited at the airport for 45 mins for the shuttle to come pick us up (advertised every 15-20 mns), The only reason I gave it a second star is because Juana was very helpful in at least giving us a free upgrade to a bigger, nicer vehicle. She was their only saving grace.
Great car, but poor customer service and upcharges. I rented a car from London Gatwick and their car was not connected to pay the charges for congestion fee or tunnel fees. In London there are not toll booths but there is an assumption that you know when you are to pay and how. We tried to pay online and apparently the transactions did not post. Now with multiple service fees from Easirent, we are paying 172 pounds instead of 13 pounds! The service fees are 110 pounds! I am very displeased and will never rent from them again and will strongly dissuade anyone from doing so.
I booked my Easirent car through Expedia. I had a reservation and was given a phone number to call upon arrival in West Palm Beach. I called the number to arrange my pickup and heard a baby crying in the background. The operator proceeded to tell me my car wasn't available and I should "check back" in 3 hours to see if was available then. Sure, let me sit in the airport and wait for Easirent to get their stuff together because I have no appointments to go to. Are f'n kidding me. The company is a joke, stay away and get some day care for your operators. Unprofessional! Let me know if you are a public company so I can short your stock.
I hired a car with Easirent for three months from April 2020 until 29th June 2020. The company took a deposit of £1,600 and, after four months, I still haven't received the money back from them. I have now sent 22 emails and haven't received a reply to any of them. Every time I ring customer services, I'm fobbed off with some story such as 'you'll get a refund within a month' or the last one was 'you're at the top of the list, so it'll be any day now'. That call was on 8th October and today is the 29th October, exactly 4 months to the day since I returned to car to them. I'm paying interest on the £1,600 they holding while they earn interest. When will they repay me?
I have never had any problems with any of the car hire companies and I've rented a car in several European and American countries. Although we had the full insurance, they wanted approx. 1500 EUR deposit on my credit card for a Citroen C1 for a 4 day rental! Since my credit car limit was lower than that, we finally had to pay approx. 100 EUR per day for the smallest car ever. The staff was rude and unhelpful. However, the two French girls whom we had met had an even worse experience than we did - they had sufficient funds on their credit card and the Easirent staff just pretended the card is not working. One of the girls spent 2 hours talking with her bank and they reassured her the credit card is working properly. They also had to pay additional fees and finally had to sleep in their car the whole trip since they spent so much on the car. Worst people ever, STAY AWAY!
Our flight was delayed and though I called ahead and confirmed with the Easirent staff that they would wait for us to collect the car when we arrived at 1am in the morning they had gone - leaving me and my daughter stranded at the airport till 7am the next morning. And it wasnt just us there were another couple who had booked but only found out when they arrived that the office was closed at the time that they had booked their car for!
Worst car hire experience ever and on a short visit ruined the whole journey.
We have spent months trying to get our money back but they even don't answer to our emails and have blocked our phone numbers. The company made an unauthorized charge of 435 pounds to our credit card weeks after our car rental finished (with a perfect vehicle status). They say that payment was some kind of insurance-associated charge they forgot to tell us about. That makes no damn sense. What the hell? We've searched the web and it's plenty of people suffering this same scam from EASIRENT, as an usual practice. We have taken legal actions. AVOID EASIRENT AT ALL COSTS!
If I could have given it a minus I would. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - do not get tempted by the quote. I booked a van in Edinburgh for my son's wedding 6 weeks in advance. On the collection day no van - and a mass of lies about why (totally conflicting information). It ended up costing hundreds to get another elsewhere at very short notice (there were many similar offers 6 weeks in advance). It then took weeks and many communications to get a refund from Easirent.
I see there are many complaints about Easirent and wish I checked before as I was another victim of Debit card malpractice of this company as I was penalised for an admin charge five times the cost of the initial rental charge.
If you have been unfortunate enough to have booked with them, I have personally taken this case up with resolver at " https://www.resolver.co.uk/companies/easirent-complaints" who in turn will escalate this to British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association if you are not satisfied.
There are so many other competively priced renal companies that I use without having to be riped off my Easirent
If you rent with Easirent, it will be your hardest day. It was my experience: I was left with my family waiting for a shuttle service for hours on a pick-up place, it never came. The phone number given to me to call them is only answered by a recording machine telling that the shuttle is coming every 15 minutes, but it never showed up in almost 2 hours. Next day I called Easirent and a hostile lady said they had closed 2 hours before the time said in the booking confirmation, she pretended I had to call Easirent from the airplane to tell them I was going to pick up the car, which is not possible. I had to go to other rental car company and pay last-minute rent costs. Easyrent NEVER EVER.
Total scumbags. These dirtbags lied to me when I got the the Dublin rental location to pick up my car and said the car that I booked was going to cost me more money and instead showed me a smaller car and said that is what I paid for. They also proceeded to tack on hidden fees and expenses and didn't communicate this to me when I paid for my car. These guys are the scum of the earth and shouldn't be allowed to do business.
From the onset of the booking I was scammed. Firstly they did not accept my credit card for the deposit saying it was a debit card but could give me a 'no deposit rate' for 3 times the booked rate. The car was filthy when I eventually got it after one hour of negotiating that my card was actually valid. On the return they found a scratch on the rim (which was there when I rented the vehicle) but because I did not have photographic proof of the prior damage, they charged me £230. I am still waiting for the return of my deposit from which they should have taken the £230 but my card was charged immediately. I was insured which originally cost me over £100 but could not claim from insurance as they said the policy did not cover this damage. Easirent is a scam company who trains their staff to scam unassuming customers. DO NOT USE EASIRENT rather use a reputable rental company.
Hired a car in May but unfortunately at the end of the hire was involved in an accident. Took a while but third party insurer took the full liability and have informed Easirent regarding that fact. In the beginning of September Easirent was informed by the insurer and Easirent told me that my deposit, £ 1250 was refunded on the 16th of September... More than a month ago now and yet no money and the "No customer service" do not communicate at all! Whatever you do, do NOT do any business at all with Easirent unless you enjoy the day to day feeling of being ripped off!
You never pick up your phone. Out of 4 of us we called you 4 times each trying to get someone. Each time we went from 8th call to 1 caller then hangs up. What kind of place is this. It rained the wipers in the back didnt work. The van we rented was fested with roaches of all sized inside and out to the point we had to ride with other family members because it was that disgusting. Who rents a vehicle like that in that condition. The passenger seat was ranked of urine and under both seats it has a defogger can for the bugs. How can you call yourself a rental facility renting vehicles like that. I want every penny we gave you. My name is Debra Holland and my number is *******027. Please have the decency to call me back.
This company is horrible. Never rent from them. Horrible vehicles and they do not clean them thoroughly. Don't risk it especially during Covid. Neris was the only rep in the whole building. There were 5 customers in the building.
They will lie to you so they can steal money from you. Example: West Palm Beach office told me if I didn't get the Florida sunpass to drive on Florida roads they will give me a ticket. I never seen a toll road on the way to my destination or on the way back to drop vehicle off. My relatives in Florida said I didn't need a sunpass. Easirent didn't even install a sunpass in the vehicle. Pay a little more and rent from a reputable company.
I want to lodge a complaint against Easirent. Your website is misleading Awful! AWFUL experience. First of all this is NOT located inside the airport. They have a shuttle but it took so long we ended up taking an Uber. The location of the business does not look like it is in a good area at all. They are not open 24 hours either. So we ended up changing our flight home because there was no way I was going there in the early am hours. When they brought up the SUV, I asked If it had been cleaned. The worker said it had. The outside was dusty and so was the inside. The front window was difficult to see out. I ended up buying windex and clorox wipes to clean the inside and going through the car wash just to be able to see. The inside smelled like stale smoke. I could say more but that's the basic info. Go with another company!
Answer: To whom it may concern, This is the complaint letter I sent to those whom I thought could help my wife and I solve an issue that we found to be Very troubling. It involved an employee at the Jacksonville Easienrt, specifically the manager named Franky. Priceline Booking Number 202-281-644-38 Easirent Reference Number 1863754 Easirent Wally Park, Jacksonville, FL airport We went to pick-up our rental on February 15th, 2020 and had all the information we were told to bring (credit card, drivers license). The young man, Franky waiting on us, informed us we needed proof of our auto insurance which we did not bring because we were not asked to bring it. When we challenged that he informed us that local rules can require them to ask for proof of insurance. We have Erie Insurance and at this time on a Saturday they are closed and not open on Sunday. The manager, Franky, said we couldn't have the car without proof of insurance. We told him we would call and give them that information on Monday and he said ok. Then he blindsided us about the in-kind coverage on our credit card which we thought we had but would check with Bank America, his response made us feel threatened and also taken advantage of. Again, none of this was mentioned on any of the documents. It was hard to understand Franky at times which only made the situation worse so my wife took over. Once again, we were told we couldn't take the car without the proof of insurance, which also was never mentioned on the paperwork. My wife explained we would call them on Monday with the information so the charges that we paid extra for, would be taken off once that information was given Franky and that would be ok. We signed off and waited for the car, which was not what we asked for. It looked like the worst one on the lot and the windows were very dirty and very hard to see out of the windows because of the stickers on the side window. On Monday, as promised., we called Erie to get the information for our insurance and also Visa to make sure we had the in-kind benefit. Both of these services were to be taken off our bill once the information was suppled. Called 1-888-901-5121 on Monday the 17th twice, once busy and 2nd time hung up on after we told them we were calling with the information they needed. Called again Tuesday the 18th and kept getting busy signals. Not only was this a terrible experience initially, but customer service once they knew why we called, decided to hang up and not answer the phone after they saw the number. Thankfully, the return went smoothly and very glad the person who waited on us was helpful. The rep at the desk upon return, Dasha, informed us that all she has to do is ask for proof, if not available then it would have been accepted, that being two adults in there 70's would have insurance.
Answer: I want someone on the phone from Easirent to explain to me why they aren't the fraud they clearly are...
Answer: They tried to charge me an extra £120 on arrival to upgrade as they'd run out of cars of the booked class. Argued and argued but they only threatened to call the police to remove me from their office. Had to pay £55 for a taxi and wasted an hour and a half.
Answer: Depends on the size but i was about £27 each for just a 2 day car hire. And i had to fit them both myself! What a company.
