I booked a car through economy booking on the 4 of January in Panama City Panama, when arriving on time with my family at the Avis desk l was told that they have no cars available and that they couldn't help me. They were renting cars to other costumers which shows that they did have cars? When I confronted them with that they told me it wasn't my business?
After almost 2 hours of arguing with them l gave up and went to rent a car from another agency where I was overcharged because of my position.
I would not recommend Avis to anyone on the planet they were rude unfriendly and were full of lies.
As for economy booking I would not recommend them to anyone in the universe I've rented many cars in my life but have never been swindled like this before I've written around 6 letters to them and spoken on the phone to them with absolutely no response or intention of giving me my money back.
Do yourselves a favour and stay away from these companies it's not worth the trouble and there are plenty of other good honest companies to work with.

My car broke down in Indiana on my way to Kentucky from Illinois. I had to have the car towed to a nearby dealership. This was on a Saturday and they wouldn't be able look at it until Monday
Answer: They do not just delay. When something goes wrong, they never intend to make good ony any of their promises: they do not call or write back, they do not follow up, and sure as hell they do not pay you anything unless you force them to, and that (in my experience) can only be done via the courts. This company is rotten and everyone should stay away from them.
Answer: Economy Booking is based in Europe and is impossible to deal with. I would never use them again. I got my money back (the down payment taken off at the time of booking) by using better Business Bureau and going after the US rental company.
