I purchased tickets for last nights Wild N Out event Amazura. This event was listed to begin at 9:30pm and end at 11:30pm. I along with many others waited in line for over 2 hours just to get inside. This was not the fault of the patrons because when I asked a security guard about the delay he mentioned that the VIP meet and greet was still going on. There was no other mention from anyone else what was going on inside. The staff seemed to be very upset themselves and at some point two bouncers had to be separated from each other as they were about to get into an altercation. At this point my friend, who I attended the event with, and I were very confused and figured that the show itself would just begin late. This was not the case as when we finally entered the arena at 11:45pm the show had begun and seemed to be coming to a conclusion. The mezzanine seating that we had paid $64.29 for was not only not available but the staff angrily shouted out that there were no more seats and that we could look for ourselves to see what was left. My friend managed to find a seat on the other side of the room and I unfolded a chair near the bathroom to sit. The comedians were on the stage but you couldnt hear what was being said due to the fact that people were still trying to find seating. At some point people began to stand on their chairs to see the stage, which completely blocked the little view that I had. Shortly after, the lights came on and the event concluded. I have used Eventbrite many times before in the past and have never had this issue. I understand this event was listed as no refunds but this was not acceptable. This event was very disorganized and I did not receive ANY of the services that I paid for and I am asking for my money back.
My girlfriend purchased two tickets for the Black Out Gold In Masquerade Gala that was going to be held at the Willis Tower, 2323 South Wacker Dr., Chicago, on Nov. 29,2019 (see photo of tickets). One day before the event the address was changed to 2105 W. Division Ave, Chicago. A place, west of the city, in an old building that was up-for-sale where you would NEVER have paid over $109 for this event! No doubt, the reason why they waited until the night before to change the address knowing how hard it would be to refund your tickets!
I contacted Eventbrite using their corporate number provided. They DO NOT ALLOW YOU the option to speak with anyone, just provide a web address, in which to contact them about any tickets issues you might have need to discuss. I left numerous messages, but this "$#*!" company NEVER bothered to reply back to ANY of them to issue a refund. I then called American Express, which initially refunded the cost and opened up a dispute. Here is where the "SCAM" is between Eventbrite and the people / companies they deal with.
Eventbrite "markets and sells the tickets" for folks /company putting on the event. They told AE they take ABSOLUTELY NO RESPONIBILTY if the event turns out to be a SCAM. NONE! Eventbrite will NOT even provide you with information on how to contact the establishment putting on the event, so you have NO WAY to get in touch with them to try and have them issue a refund.
I will be doing everything possible to let the public know this is what can happen if they purchase tickets from this corrupt company! They could probably not even put on the event and you would NEVER be able to get your money back.

Love hate was cancelled in Bristol. Applied for a refund still haven't had it after 4 months DO NOT USE!
We use eventbrite to books hundreds of shows per year and for the most part have good success with getting our money from them in a timely manner (Wednesday each week they payout less fees). People need to remember that eventbrite is a ticket system used by the promoters for events so if they need a refund for a ticket the promoter or event has to refund the ticket first before they can refund the ticket to the customer. The challenge we have is that the system really has not been updated in a few years. COVID forced a large number of cancellations and postponements so we had to setup a credit card with Eventbrite and advanced money to them to refund tickets. Challenge we have is many customers used emails or contact numbers that are no longer working, we have even confirmed a few are in fact deceased customers and anything postponed longer than a year cannot be refunded to the credit card companies for some reason. We are trying to work with our customers who have reached out to refund money to them using a new credit card number or even cutting cheques to estates if need be but we need to collect the money back from Eventbrite that we advances so they could try and refund customers. In many cases we postponed the event and ran it in 2022 or 2023 but the system will not update it from postponed so it is not paying out the balances they owe us. What I found even more interesting is there is no way to run a report to see what events have balances owing, if not for our year end review processes we would not have realized we have a few thousand dollars owing from them. We reached out to customer service and they would not talk about how we would get our money back they kept trying to tell us that we needed to refund all our customers before they would return our money. Hmmm... we gave them the money to refund to our customers through their system and they havent yet they will no longer give us our money back so we can refund them directly because their system cant handle refunds properly. It has now been over three weeks with no refund and no response, each time we call the customer support line all they do it try and chastise us on our refund processes. So tired of this we are now looking at different solutions. Careful with this stock as if this is the approach they take with all their customers this is not a stock I would want to own, to clients. Review any events that you previously postponed or cancelled if you gave them any money there is a good chance they owe you something.
