The company is great and customer service was top notch... my only issue is there were no instructions on how to put this thing together. Luckily I am handy and had quads and bikes my entire life so it went together in about 2 hours... a. video or manual would have come in handy. Other than that... very solid bike!
Our gokart lasted 1 month then stopped charging. It seems like an easy fix…but because they have the actual worst customer service, we don't know how to fix it. Like all the previous reviews…we too do not get called back. Do not buy from this company. They are Terrible. Still waiting on my call back after emailing multiple times and calling for the last 3 days.
Found a brake lever easily, no hassle ordering. I will definitely order here for anything else we need for our dirtbike.
Bought two apollo 125CC atvs, first of all shipping was months and was told a given time and they didnt come i ended up having to contact SALA there shipper myself and plan and demand a date. After getting the atvs, we put them together and my sons got to ride one of them ONE time and the bike lost all power had massive crank case pressure and apparently blew the head gasket... brand new one ride i was not expecting this. Now trying to get ahold of them you get a run around JEFF who i delt with never answers emails dayssss later. Then they say they have to contact supplier and here i am 4 weeks later still with a broken bike. Now took the other one i had out for round two and what would you know this one is WORSE then the first one not only left us stranded in the woods but about caught on fire from the heat this thing was putting off. More crankcase just blowing oil out of the breather, and clacking noise suspected another head gasket. Neither bike will start and my two sons are beyond upset. I will never reccomend them to anyone this has been a shi*** show! I am a business owner and would never leave a customer feeling the way i am feeling. Family go karts is a piece of work thats for sure

Worst product and service I have ever had. Paid a little over $1500 for a gokart for my kids. Ordered green and received red. Paid for it to be assembled, it was mostly assembled. My brother-in-law spent a day assembling. Then him and I spent 2 days trying to get it to start. Spent countless hours on the phone with customer service and hours and hours online watching how to videos. Even changed the spark plug with the one they set with the maitence kit I ordered and paid for... funny thing it was the wrong size plug. I had to buy a new one. I even had a registered mechanic stop buy and look at that piece of junk and he couldn't figure out what the deal was. Entered a trouble ticket, took several days for a response. Finally got someone who would at least talk to me and not send me to the videos or trouble shooting at the website. Determined on the phone with him it was not a functioning gokart. Set up to ship it back and get a full refund... that was in May. Only have received a refund of $900. At one point we were told family go karts never received the go kart even though we had the freight info and confirmation. I have filed with paypal and spoken directly to family go karts and still have not received a full refund. I am filing another appeal with paypal, I have contacted the BBB and spoken to my attorney. We plan in filing a claim in small claims court if resolution... full refund is not sent.
Do not buy anything from these people. I spent $2700 on a XRX Trailmaster go cart and have had a continuing rear brake caliper assembly problem. All I have gotten is an email run around for over a week. I have done everything their emails have asked me to do and have the same problem. I know the issue is a bad rear brake caliper assembly (piston sticks). I asked to talk to a live person and all you get from their inconsiderate phone people is send another email. No one in tech will talk to you personally. I know they are just waiting to tell me that my extended (purchased for extra money) warranty has expired and I am on my own. BUY NOTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE. Their website suggests they are Godly but they are anything but. When I bought this thing, they were happy to talk to me and take my money. Now no one will talk to me. I was looking at Go Carts USA and these people (and in particular the owner of FamilyGoKarts) assured me I would have good follow up service and so I believed him. My mistake I should have gone with Go Carts USA. They have help me with little issues with a live conversation and I never even bought the cart from them. Need I say more as to who you should spend your hard dollars with. One last comment. Their telephone answering people are the most inconsiderate, arrogant and condescending people you can imagine to talk to if you ask for some live person to help you. ALL YOU GET IS SUBMIT AN EMAIL REQUEST. Once you have a request number you can then send more emails.
I purchased go kart for Granddaughter in July of 2021, received damaged noted on BOL. Not a big deal I thought boy was I wrong! Vapor return from crankcase to gas tank broken off, took pictures sent several times no response, called several times also no response emailed many times no response also found out seat beat was defective (would not lock) neither a big deal just send me the parts and I will fix. They wanted me to pay for shipping the parts NO Way their defective and or broken in shipment. I finally disputed charge on CC, CC company gave credit then because I had not sent Kart back reversed charges, sent back Kart and FamilyGoKarts sent refund check for Kart minus shipping and restocking fees ~$832. FGK drags the process out so long that the CC won't give credit back. Family GoKarts is the worst company I have EVER done business with. NEVER EVER do business with them. Total time July of 2021 received partial refund Feb 2,2022. They received the Kart on 1/7/22 did not get partial refund until about 2/7/22 over a month late and I had to make a call to get it. The WORST COMPANY EVER!

Not inpressed with the paint rubbed off the plastic I hope it works better than it looks also it can not get wet I wish I new that before I ordered it.

All was fine UNTIL I needed service which was non existent. Upon receipt of my son's taotao atm50 scooter I noticed the hood was scratched and the screw to hold it down was missing so I sent an email 3x, all 3 ignored except one which said "go to the hardware store and get one" how freeking unprofessional is that?#@! No size, thread type, length NOTHING, my hood also has a scratch so I figured, no need to worry - Jay told me there is a 72 hour window to notify them and address any SAIA truck shipping damages, so I did just that and they told me they dont have coverage for scratches in shipping Then why the heck do you have a 72 hour damage policy then - a DUH? No credit or apology or anything for my trouble, just attitude on the phone because they are useless when contacting via email, so I called and Chelsea is plain nasty on the phone, she just makes excuses for their incompetence. I will never shop here again! Go somewhere else that actually cares about their customers, and thanks for dissapointing my son when he got his gift. You should be ashamed of yourselves!

I've experienced the same issues as in other reviews about this company, rude staff, additional shipping charges after purchase. Beware of the warranty scam. I purchased a Trailmaster TM 29 dirt bike for my grandson as a Christmas gift 12/25/2022. Also purchased the extended warranty or as they call it Service Package Premium for $79.99. Now I understand that these dirt bikes aren't as high quality as the big-name brands, so when a bolt broke no problem trip to the hardware store and replace with a grade 8 bolt, Kick stand spring brakes trip to the hardware store and replace with a heavier spring, nuts & bolts fall off trip to hardware store get replacements. But when the exhaust pipe broke completely off where it connects to the engine and the kick start lever won't open up, I called FamilyGoKarts for warranty replacements. Durning back and forth emails with Jeff (the support guy) I sent photos of the broken bolt and kick stand spring. After 2 weeks of what appears to be stalling from FamilyGoKarts I received an email on Friday afternoon stating none these parts would be covered warranty, and all had broken due to the way the bike was being ridden. Not really sure what they mean by this, the bike had only been in service for 2 months, ridden off road only in my yard and around the neighborhood on paved roads. I called trying to speak to Jeff, but apparently you can't get past the very rude lady that answers the phone to speak to anyone. While speaking to this lady she informed me that they do not cover the warranty, the manufacturer is who covers the warranty and who I should contact. I understand this but as a dealer wouldn't you be handling the warranty? And why are you selling me an extended warranty to 12 months? She would not give me a way to contact the manufacturer. To sum it up, you buy a new product from FamilyGoKarts with a 6-month warranty, buy the extended warranty to 12 months but you have no warranty at all and if you ride it you're riding it wrong. This is a very shady company to deal with. If I could have left negative stars, I'd give them a negative 5-star rating.

This company is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. I purchased a $2019 Go Kart and it has yet to start. I have emailed them countless times with only a request to send videos and readjust the choke! Are you kidding me! You want me to mechanically work on a BRAND NEW GO KART to get it RUNNING?! I spent 15 hours already on this machine, which is absurd! Shouldn't it START THE FIRST TIME! They have hung up on me when I called them, as they have ignored my requests for a return phone call. The girl I spoke with informed me her name was Ms. IRRELEVANT AND THEN DILLON TOLD ME TO PUT IN A SUPPORT TICKET HIS SHIFT WAS OVER 25 MINUTES AGO! Please find the article Jeff Backer wrote regarding the BBB, very disturbing and says a lot about his mental state. They preach about being Christian, but every turn I encounter with them has been anything BUT Christian like. They take your money and then ignore you. I am contacting my lawyer, as I feel I deserve better treatment than I have endured with them. They have all been rude, Jeff, Judy, Dillon, Tyson, Cierra, and Ms. Irrelevant. I also spoke with maybe a Tony, he was maybe the worst. Cocky and arrogant. Please do not purchase from them. I am moving on to their vendors and financing department next. WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER... We ordered a go kart for our child's birthday. Their website stated it was ready to ship, I even called them just to confirm it would ship right away and make it in time for our child's birthday. Two day's after placing the order, we were still waiting for our follow up call that was suppose to happen within 2 day's. After we waited over 2 weeks, I decided to write them to get the status. A guy wrote back the next day stating Alley would be calling me the following day. The next day Alley called me to inform me that they sold my son's blue go kart by accident, and their next shipment would be in 3 weeks from now. Alley and her manager told me I wouldn't even get the go kart for smooth 6 weeks... I stated that wouldn't work and I was guaranteed this go kart would make it to us in this for our child's birthday, seeing that's the reason I chose this company. The owner said I can't miracle you a go kart and for me to shut up and quit rambling so she could talk. I told her that was very unprofessional and how ghetto she handles her business. She canceled my order without my consent and hung up on me. So, here i am... wow, what deceptive business practices. DON'T TRUST THEM! HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL... THEY BORROW YOUR MONEY FOR WEEKS, FREE OF INTEREST.

I purchased a quad for my son back at the beginning of November when I had spoken to the sale.an over the phone to place the order he said I wouldnt have any issues to have it by Christmas. As 3 weeks ti. E went by I received no follow up email so I reached out and finally sent me the release form to read and sign after that was complete another week went by with nothing so I reached out again and a lady named evette answered and was very rude and unprofessional she told me I wasnt receiving the quad until after Christmas now I told her her sales man told me it would be here in time. She told me they would never have said that I told her if that was the case I wouldn't have put the order in and you shouldn't promise somebody something just to make a sale and more less called me a liar this company SUCKS and as a buisness owner myself i would never treat a customer the way they do. If you need a better company to deal with go to Killer motor sports in Texas they make pro m isesnthey can keep ordered the quad and had it a week later and a cheaper price than family gokarts

This company has by far the worst, most HORRENDOUS- customer service of all time. If you like being hung up on by the customer service rep, or like receiving no response from your service request after multiple attempts- all the while perfectly documenting your issue to the t and following their instructions then this company is for you. If you want to speak to a supervisor forget it bc they won't tell you. The main customer service rep who answers will hang up on you. She refused to provide me with any supervisors names of even her own name and hung up the phone on my twice. I revived a damaged bike caused by Shipping. I documented the shipping ticket but my writing was above the portion that they tore off and handed me back. So now they are claiming I didn't document the freight invoice when I actually did. I not only documented the freight invoice but I also emailed pictures and details of the damage within the specified time- which is 72 hours. And I'm still fighting with them. I sent 3 emails within 2-3 week time period and received ZERO responses. When I called in to discuss the lady tried to brush me aside and dismiss my displeasure by simply saying "she would let that service department know". I explained I don't accept that and wanted an explanation as to why I was receiving such poor customer service and wanted the name of a supervisor and was told I was not getting one and then she hung up the phone on me. I then called back and asked her for her name and she refused to GIVE ME HER NAME! And then hung up on me again! WOW. If you read their website it talks about their emphasis on customer service. NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH WITH THESE PEOPLE. Absolutely deplorable. DO NOT BUY FEOM THESE PEOPLE. YOU WILL REGRET IT.
Order came on time- metal cage was bashed all over but the vehicle seemed untouched.
I ordered the preassembled unit, so all I had to do was change the oil, charge the battery and air the tires.
Unit wouldn't fire. At all. Called customer service and they referred me to videos on YouTube. Did all the tests, still no fire. Contacted another number in the website that just happened to be the owner.
He seemed annoyed I'd reached him instead of mike (the mechanic) but still offered his assistance via text walking me through the videos again same as customer service and this time he asked me to send him videos to prove I was doing the tests correctly. After each test failed to determine why the unit wasn't firing the owner wrote it off as the brand new unit has a bad carborator and he'd talk to his guy and get back to me.
The next day I text him saying it's atill not firing and I'm getting frustrated that this brand new unit out of the box doesn't work. No reply. I called customer service to see about returning it. Said it won't start. She informed me it will cost me out of pocket shipping and $189 for a restocking fee. I wanted to argue because sending this defective unit back was going to cost me the cost of the actual unit with shipping.
I hung up and called my buddy over for a last attempt to get this China junk going before I lose my investment sending it back. He sprayed some carb cleaner on the air filter and it FIRED, but immediately died.
We determined that the throttle was to blame for no fuel getting to the engine from the carb. So I tightened the throttle cable just a little it it finally fired and stayed on, but I had to keep my finger on the throttle while my buddy adjusted the throttle screw to get it to idle. Success, she runs.
I texted the owner I got it working. He finally reply's "Good to hear"
I really believe he'd written me off as a return and lost interest. Either way, we got it working on our own and of course the dealer gets their money whether it's a good experience for us or not so you can't expect much from them.
My daughter loves the ATV.

STAY FAR FAR AWAY! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY! Don't even consider buying from them! They are a SCAM! I purchased 2 quads on Sept 29,2020. Money was taking out of my account Sept 30th. I was told 6-8 weeks Definitely before Christmas! Well on Thanksgiving I got an email stating that my quads were going to be shipped and were damaged and they no longer had the quads I wanted in stock and to pick 2 different quads. So after multiple phone conversations, being hung up on and the run around from multiple people I picked out 2 different quads were told yes you'll have them before Christmas! Well December 5th I got an email stating they were sorry and the 2 new quads I ordered were ALSO damaged and they didn't have any more of the ones I wanted in stock! I was suggested 2 wait till AFTER CHRISTMAS TO GET QUADS AND TAKE A PICTURE OF QUADS WRAP IN A BOX KIDS WILL BE HAPPY! My kids are 6 & 3 NO THEY ARE NOT going to be "happy" with a picture of quads! So the rep who was emailing me back and forth said I could also cancel my order MINUS a 2% restocking fee instead of the normal 5% fee. I'm sorry but why am I being punished and your keeping my money when you messed up! It took 7 days to get my money back of course minus the 2% they held! I'm telling you this place is a SCAM! STAY FAR FAR AWAY! I have all the emails to prove this! How can you order something in September and not have it available 12 weeks later?!?! Also they charged me an extra $200 for shipping bc I was not in a state that allowed quads so be shipped! Well let me tell you I found a place Dec 5th ordered 2 quads was NOT charged shipping spent $200 less then family go karts charged me the owner of the new place has personally emailed me all the details on shipment when they will be arriving every detail! And they are at my house already! Take it for what it's worth don't want anyone else getting the run around and scammed like I did! Also to note I NEVER write reviews especially bad ones especially with what is going on to small businesses these days but these people truly screwed me!
