We recently visited Applebee's in order to take advantage of the Top Gun movie ticket promotion. For every $25 spent, you would receive a movie ticket. We spent $58, therefore earning 2 tickets. I submitted necessary info and they claimed my receipt was missing info. I submitted a photo and they sent my info to another department for further verification. I kept emailing to find out status of my tickets. Never a response from their customer service until my email today, again asking. I'm now being told that the promotion is over and they don't have to honor my fulfillment. This is poor customer service any way you look at it.
Sold us tickets to Beetlejuice - Spanish version, but it wasn't labeled that. Then refused to refund them b/c it had already started. (Theater was not full.) No way for us to know it was in Spanish until it started. We support the bilingual offering, but don't speak Spanish!
The movie theater was trying to sell parking for $40 when the ticket was only $11. Because of this, I did not attend the movie. Fandango has the worst customer service and refused to give me a refund. Never using them again and I HIGHLY recommend no one else does. Worst customer service I have seen in a long time.
I was given a gift card as a gift from a friend. She paid $25 for it and when it didn't work I called customer service. They said they could not do anything to help me. The card says it has no expiration date and was never used yet now it is worth nothing. Just buy direct from the theater!
Tried to purchase movie tickets (2) and their site was having problems, wouldn't process our request. We got billed for the tickets anyway and never received, found out from our bank statement. Tried to resolve with Fandango and they said we picked them up which is incorrect. Tried to respond and there is no way via email. You can reply but you get an error message, you have to reply "above and below these lines" which is impossible. Bogus if you ask me, probably purposely set up this way. It's only $20 but it's the principle. Never use again!
I haven't even been able to get a hold of any customer support. I called last night and waited over 30 minutes before I gave up. Today I tried the live chat and was almost the 400th person in line, with an average wait time of over 30 minutes. What is up with this company? I will never use their site again. I only used it because I got a gift card and even with that I am reluctant. It's like they don't want to deal with anyone but will take your money,

Quick to take your money, horrible customer service! Computerized canned responses to stupid policies. No ability to speak to a supervisor. Read fine print and order tickets any other way possible! Lost a potential customer and will tell my friends to do the same.
Wasted a total of 1.5 hours on chat with them trying to get a refund with all the usual 'oh, let me look into that' only to be given the same canned answer of 'no' over and over. Don't give them your business. Awful.

Purchased 4 tickets on my credit card and cancelled within 10 minutes back to my credit card & was charged 5.30$ convenience fee. There was no apparent warning that the convenience fee was non refundable. After reading the other reviews here, I'm not surprised. Caveat Emptor
As a first time user I will admit to purchasing the tickets for the wrong day. I tried to work with multiple different customer service agents and an alleged supervisor and they all hid behind policy. After verify the movie wasn't sold out (where the movie theater may have turned other paying customers away) they still were unwilling to accommodate an exchange for a later day (2 days later) where the seating was wide open. Will never use this site again.
Their ticket sales app is fine. Not great but not terrible. I don't review things that work as they are supposed to.
However their reviews are just nonsense and seem very pumped up to sell more tickets no matter what piece of dross the movie happens to be. I give them 1 star only because 1/10th of a star is not available.
So their point system is worthless. You are forced to pick from 1 of 5 movies of their choice, not yours. And you have 21 days to use it. If you redeem and don't see a movie you like available, you are out of luck. It's a reward program that helps no one but them.
I purchased a ticket the morning of a movie, I realized the show time was in the PM, not AM... so I went back in the app to get a refund/credit. But, because the payment was pending at the bank and it was a Sunday I called Fandango customer service for help. I was on hold with for hours with no response. I have screen captures showing the time and date before the movie showing and NOT having the choice for a refund or credit. Also screen capture with time/date and how long I was on hold... The ticket was $20.20... they closed out my complaint tickets after calling and getting through, their customer service is AWFUL... won't ever be using Fandango again!
I purchased tickets on line. Paid extra $6 for the service fee, which is fine. Tried to redeem my fandango gift card 3 times with the correct info. Had to start three times since the time had expired.
Finally, paid the full price without redeeming my gift card. Guess what? It went through without any problem. Chapter two - in the movie theatre, gave them the credit card I paid with. They couldn't find my tickets. Send me to another person... the saga continued for 5 more minutes. What a waist of my time! Never using fandango again or giving anybody a fandango gift card. I am done!
Fandango sucks! I ordered physical gift cards (thought it was more personal for the holidays) and it takes them 10 days to get here. They never got here. Their customer service took forever and was incredibly rude on live chat. They actually hung up once they realized they could not help. From now on, I will go to the theater myself. What a huuuuuuuge disappointment!
Used the App, spent $75 to gain a measly $5 reward to learn it had already expired a less than a month later when I tried to purchase for another movie. Talked to customer service, useless, nothing they can do. Basically, if you can't afford more than one movie a month, too bad, screw you!
What do I need Fandango for? Nothing.
Fandango says they refund or exchange tickets if VIP. Not really, only under very limited circumstances and prior to the show. Waste of money and they won't exchange for same movie, same theatre. Lesson learned, don't Fandango!
Fandango sells gift cards that are only redeemable on their app/website. The convenience fee of $1.50 is charged for all online tickets, no options. It would be understandable if it was per purchase, but noooo... it's per ticket. That is, simply, a scam. Do your loved ones a favor and dont gift them fandango cards.
I had sawed I purchased tickets for the wrong date which was August 3 2023 I met to purchase them for the August 4 2023 ask to exchange it. Just for them to say NO remind u never used the tickets. So basically they take ppl money even if u don't go see the movie. Im so upset because I wasted $39.48 down the drain. I recommend not to used FANDANGO to purchase tickets. Even when u make a simple mistake they still don't care. If I can give 0 stars lord knows I would.

I bought tickets and the date they gave me was different from the one I put in and they refused to change it or give a refund. Had to pay again to see the movie in person when I noticed the tickets they gave me were wrong. Completely unhelpful staff that just sends copy pastes of company policy without actually trying to read or understand your problem. Please save your money and spend it anywhere else.
Get info from the site but DO NOT buy your tickets from them. They charge a service fee but there is no benefit from this service. You still have to wait in same line with everyone else buying tickets. You can't download your ticket and bring it with you like other entertainment sites. There is no convenience for the fee they charge, just giving away your money. I won't be using them again to but tickets.

And I'm not talking PayPal level fees, these are on a whole new level. Each ticket has a $1.50 tacked onto it. So for a family of 4, you're paying $6 in fees. Go to the movies twice, $12 in fees. Fandango claims It's easier, when in reality you try to let the window licking idiot scan your Fandango ticket, through 4 inches of glass, so he/she can give you THEIR ticket to get in, while a line of impatient movie goers huff and puff behind you. Fandango should pay YOU to use their service, for making you look like an inconsiderate fool. The ticket It's expensive enough to go see a mediocre movie at a mediocre theatre, but charging this amount on top of that is just a slap in the DlCK. I wish massive crippling bankruptcy upon this company as soon as possible.
I called the customer service number 30 minutes before the movie and waited on hold only to be rudely disconnected after 90 minutes "because the rep couldn't hear me". I used the live chat feature and finally got to a rep after waiting over 3 hours and being disconnected by the system multiple times; only to be told no refund would be issued because the movie has started already (and ended, technically). This is unacceptable.
Fandango takes your money whether you get what you pay for or not; and despite following their policies- it seems they intentionally make it difficult to get to a live person in order to put in your refund request until well after the movie starts and then they force you to sign up for their VIP program in order to even consider the request. These tactics are manipulative and should be illegal, how is fandango still in business?
I will never use them again and would not encourage anyone else to.

I purchased 2 tickets with Fandango. No confirmation of purchase was sent. So I purchased again for the same movie. Received confirmation. IN review of my credit card I was billed twice.
Fandango will not refund the money for two unused seats because the movie is over.

Extremely long wait... for no refund. Even though I started on hold 1 minute after buying the wrong ticket. They only give a FAN=f'ing -dango credit. Unless you want to pay for being on hold for 30 minutes by relinquishing the service fee.
Bought movie tickets through Fandango website, stated right on the printout that you won't have to stand in line, "Just go directly to the ticket taker". What a sham. Had the print out, ticket taker sent us back through the line, said Fandango shouldn't have said no standing in line. You still have to go through line just like you were buying a regular ticket. Told us Fandango does that sort of thing all the time. Don't buy from Fandango. I tried to contact them on the Fandango website, lots of run around, rejected messages, computer responses directing you elsewhere. Not worth your time using Fandango. We are only one family, I'm sure Fandango will stay in business without us, but, they are on my list.

Because I used fandango I had to pay extra (service fees I didn't see until too late), lost my regal rewards coupons I always get when I buy tickets normally, and still had to wait in line to get 3D glasses. And they failed to respond in a timely fashion and then refused to refund my purchase. I will never ever ever use this "service" again.
