Called the customer service about a huge issue about our tickets that we bought, never got anyone on the phone, even gave us a option to give us a call back never got the phone call, never buying from fandango again the worst ticket company ever. If I could give them 0 starts I would.
Received two gift cards from Family that in short, will not work. Even tried to check their balance to see if I could get them recognized there - nope! Now here is the interesting part(s.) Went to Fandango.com and sent in a trouble ticket/email and did receive a trouble ticket number immediately, however, nothing has happened past that. The one attempt to resolve the problem was an email from Customer Service asking me to call their published 1-800 number. Here is the rabbit hole - after a diatribe about some promotion or another, you are asked to press 1 for English, 2 for Spanish; 1 gets you the statement, "Opps, something went wrong" and the line is immediately hung up; Pressing 2 puts you in a ground hog day loop that never ends - the press 1 for and 2 for diatribe. Tried the number several times over a two week period to see if it would be fixed - Nope. I have sent several emails notifying them of a nonfunctioning phone line and ask for them to contact me - NO REPLY. I have submitted several more trouble tickets and nothing. Taking this a step further, I went to the parent company Vudu and logged on to their chat system and waited 2 hours for an agent, yep, another dead end. Conclusion: This organization is shamming the daylights out of people and getting away with it.
Most businesses try to keep customers happy. Not Fandango! It's owned by Comcast, btw, but operates independently. While Comcast is a huge company and not the best at customer service, Fandango doesn't give a ****. I earned a couple of movie passes issued during COVID when movie theatres were closed. They expired before they re-opened. You'd think they would extend the vouchers? No way! Tried a couple of times and they just slam the door in your face! Don't use them to buy anything- go directly to the movie theatre website or whomever the vendor is.
DO NOT PURCHASE TICKETS THROUGH FANDANGO! I am not one to write reviews but felt the need to in this case. Now I realize why their ratings are 1 star. Worst customer service experience ever.
Customer service line (number found online) simply hangs up on me immediately. Tried 4 times. I did, however, find an online page to request a refund. This process was quick and easy online. The charge to my card for my ticket purchase hit my account immediately. The so-called refund has not yet appeared, and I have no assurance it ever will. Also, they refunded less than they originally charged. Fandango does not give good value for their "convenience" fee. RECOMMENDATION: buy your tickets AT the theatre. Next time, I will!
DO NOT BUY FROM FANDANGO! Just go to the theater's site! I purchased 2 tickets for a show in September and immediately realized I had bought the wrong time. I tried to exchange, but because I used the magic credit of $5, I had to send a email. I called, and sent the email. 6 weeks later, nothing! Then a email stating that I had to request the exchange before the movie time, which I did. Total scam and I'm out 40$
At a theater on vacation, got tickets on wife's phone, but theater couldn't scan. Got a ticket price refund but the kept the $3.50 convenience fee. Nice scam ya got going there... avoid like the plague.
I have used Fandango for years and this one time, I accidentally ordered tickets for the wrong day. When I went to the theater on the day intended, I was told that my tickets had expired. So I realized that I had ordered them for the day before. I tried to get the theater to exchange them but since Fandango is a third party, the theater said they could not help me. So I had to purchase some more tickets because my kids were waiting to see the movie. They told me that I would have to contact Fandango directly. Well Fandango did nothing for me. I didn't want my money back but, maybe a credit for some tickets to go another time. I will not be using Fandango anymore. As a matter of fact I have already deleted the app from my phone.
This has to be the worse customer service possible for a company servicing US customer. They do noot appriciate suggestion from customer. I suspect due to some company merger their departments/workers do not care about customer.
A bug was in their system. They claim they give $5 reward for every 4 tickets purchase. But what they don't tell you reward code has low priority, meaning if you have credit on your account covering cost of the tickets, the reward code cannot be used. If you have linked membership that has credit, your reward code won't work. Many of us have credit on theater membership for use on food when we go to the movies. Using Fandago forces you to use those credit toward ticket FIRST. So be aware when you redeem your reward, they have been expiring for me since I have credit on Fandango, Fandango Gift Card, and theater rewards. Most of the service person does not know about these, all they give you is I have to reach out to corporate. And you will get contridicting answers during the Fandango Vudo merger, you don't know who you will reach, and they are as confused themselves. All in all, they will not do anything to fix this or help customer get the credit back.
I contacted with the company for over 4 months. They are very inefficient.
There are too many back and forth with multiple rep. And sometimes Vudo sometimes Fandango team would responds. Few time asked me to call which I did from day one. Most call cannot reach a human, when I did, they just give you canned message, will report to corporate without anyone calling me back.
Chili's had free movie tickets once you spend $25 on meal. Sent photo's 2 receipts twice, Fandango said could not read, resend. Promotion expired by time I saw emails. Waste of time!
I bought two tickets for a premiere of Respect. I had to cancel, which I did and verified the cancellation by inquiring for two new tickets and saw the reserved seats were now available. This was on August 8th, 2021. I have tried multiple times to get the tickets refunded because I get enraged at scams. They set up their e-mail to respond that you only have 48 hours to file a complaint. I filed IMMEDIATELY! They refuse to give me a refund. THIS IS A SCAM! NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, BUY TICKETS THROUGH FANDANGO. IT SEEMS THEIR BUSINESS MODEL IS TO "CHEAT" THEIR WAY TO SUCCESS!
Bunch of fraudsters, waste of time to submit proof of purchase. Scam written all over it. Applebee's food sucks as well
Do not partake in the promo scams. I recently spent $60(before tax) at god awful applebees to get 2 tickets for jungle cruise. I uploaded the receipt to the point where you can clearly read every letter of the receipt yet their app refuses to honor the promo. WIll never partake in a promo thru this website and they should be shut down for this god awful scam.
Purchased 7 tickets and requested a refund for 2, Fandango said they WILL NOT refund tickets not used prior or after the movie. A bunch of Corp BS but based on all the other negative review not surprised.
Denied movie tickets from Applebee's offer. Fandango, or Applebee's, never responded to my phone request.
Recently I decided to participate in a promotion that Fandango is managing for Applebee's. Get a free ticket to the new movie Jungle Cruise for every $25 spent on dinners at Applebee's. It sounded good; so, my son and spent around $70 on separate checks and provided Fandango with receipt photos as described in their instructions. We even had my internet service provider create files containing the photos and send them to Fandango. Low and behold, I received an email from them rejecting our claims because the images were not of professional quality. Regrettably, I am not in the film industry nor do I have access to services such as Industrial Light and Magic. The point of this quality of service review is to point out that we were baited in to participating in this promotion but then had the rules changed for us when Fandango set up ridiculous criteria to qualify after the fact. This is either classic bait and switch or just plain ineptitude on Fandango's part. Either way, buyer beware when dealing with this company. Do not trust anyone who hides behind anonymous chat lines or text messages.
We had 2 gift cards expire during Covid shut down and Fandango refuses to issue and replacement!
Didn't get a refund even though I called before. Chose wrong and called immediately and won't refunf
Fandango has never worked for us. We have rented and purchased several movies off of the site and there is always a connection issue. We do not have problems with any other sites except for fandango. We have invited people over to purchase a movie and it just spins over and over. We will no longer waste our time or money trying to purchase any movies off of this website. Very disappointed because they have good choices but it doesn't matter because you can't watch it anyways.
I'd give them a 0 star if I could. I tried purchasing tickets and when I used my Apple Pay, it said error seats have been taken already. So I re chose a different seat and bought the tickets. Something came up and I couldn't go to the movie theaters so I refunded the one ticket that I thought I bought which they gave me the refund for. The day after, I saw in my statements that they have charged me twice for different seats. So I called them and told them that their website said error so I didn't think I'd have purchased it. The worker said she'd have to talk to corporate because the movie has already played. Then I asked her if Fandango has a way to check the I even activated the tickets and they said they can check that. So the next day, I receive a email saying they can't issue refund because it's past the movie day and I've replied to them saying they can literally check that I never made it to the movie theater and never activated my ticket. It's been a week now and I haven't gotten a reply back. I've never been so upset at a company before.
Answer: Shauna, try Ken's suggestion. After years as a loyal customer & "Fan" of Fandango, I had an issue that should have been easily resolved. When I finally spoke to a live CSR, the response & subsequent email were robotic & useless. I now buy gift cards from the theatres & save my $$ and time. Good luck to you, though!
Answer: You do Julie S., but if you purchase it within 2 hours of the movie you are out of luck and that's what I happened to do. I accidentally chose that same day rather than the next day (Saturday) and since I was within a 2 hour time frame they said too bad. Never will use them again that's for sure. It was an honest mistake and I explained that but the woman on the phone was very nasty.
Answer: I would try emailing them, unfortunately there is no one to call as far as I know. If that doesn't work why don't you try calling a theater near you that takes fandango, ask for a manager. Fandangos customer service is not good so I wish you luck. Thank you for your service, hope this helps Rose
Answer: I didn't wake up with a dead horse in my bed but all other evidence in dealing with Fandango indicate that they are mob-owned. Perhaps the mob has more morals. Maybe not mob-owned. What would be worse than the mob because that's likely who owns them. Difficult question to answer. Best not to do business with them anyway.
