DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS STORE! Their so called customer service is useless and incompetent... returned my purchase 3 weeks ago and followed up with why I haven't received a refund yet. I was given the run around after numerous emails (I showed proof of delivery via UPS with the label THEY provided) for them to tell me they never received my package. Finally called their 800 number to be told I had to follow up with UPS and this isn't their problem. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS COMPANY!
I ordered 3 products and one was wrong in the order. I contacted them and they said they couldn't send the right product but if I wanted a refund I had to send back the wrong item. I did and now have no product and no refund. I paid for an item I never got and have written NANCY GUILLAUME in Customer Service and have got nowhere. Taken up so much of my time.
Didn't realize that it took 3-5 business days for a response to any email, clearly any concerns you have are not a priority. The website is not clear with promotions, & when you question it they explain it, but should honour the screw up like any store in customer service would. When I decided to purchase because there was no order number to fall back on, it again took days on end to respond to my concern because a pair of leggings that I was wanting was now sold out with them taking ages to respond. You think they would compensate you & put you on back order for the delay. I said to cancel my order, but now it's in process because again, taking forever for any response, & to just return the items that I can - meaning I have to wait for all of the items to come to me, to send only a few back that would not be final sale. I added items to fill my cart to get free shipping in case they figured out the original issue. Been a customer of Garage for at least 10 years if not more, & now they quit selling patterned leggings in person so I had no choice but to shop online. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on! I did not expect such $#*!ty customer service & I have online shopped with multiple different companies for years.
I ordered a pair of jeans in a size 1 (because my size 0 garage jeans are too small) and when they arrived they were huge (makes no sense but sure). So, I had to return them. I sent them back and waited over 20 days before they actually refunded me. They never even sent any confirmation email saying that my order was successfully returned, so I had to wait and keep checking my bank account to see if I had gotten my money back. I had originally paid with a gift card and my debit card, and since I had gotten the money back in my bank account, I had assumed that they had also put the rest of the money back on the gift card (again, I had never gotten any emails regarding the return, much less an email with a new e gift card). I decided to order a couple of shirts I really wanted with the gift card, but when I put the gift card number and pin in, it said the balance was $0. I emailed customer support informing them of this, and it took 3 days to get a reply. By this time, the shirt I had wanted most was sold out. I was told that they sent a "return email" with an e gift card, so I checked every folder in my mail and even searched for it. I didn't find anything at all so I had to email them again and am still waiting for a reply. Rip to the shirt I wanted :/
Me and my sister used to shop at Garage years ago and we loved looking at their clothes, personally I really loved all their racerback camis (tank tops) they came in so many different soild colours and print floral designs. Now I can never shop there because all their new stuff is aimed towards skinny people with "perfect" body types, they pretty much only carry crop tops now and their sizes only go up to XL when before they used to go up to XXL and now their sizes come in a much smaller make than they used to, a medium used to fit me here easily but now I can just barely fit into a large and my body type is pretty average, my sister is a bit larger though and every time we go in here now she feels ashamed of herself because of her body. Sorry Garage, not everyone is perfect.
Usually my daughter and I would shop in store- never had issues. But since the pandemic, my daughter decided to order online a pair of pants she wanted. When making the order, it created the order 5 times and charged us 5 times! I called customer service immediately and they told me they could not cancel the order, we would have to wait for the pants and return them. Then, about 1-2 weeks later we received an email stating our order is cancelled because of the pants being out of stock and they issued a $9 gift card. I called and asked why we were issued a $9 gift card when the pants themselves cost almost $50 per pair... times that by 5! They tell me they have to forward it to their finance department for further investigation. Since then I've called multiple times, since now we are going on almost 2 months since the order was completed- and have not received a full refund. Every time I call, I get told the same thing- they have to forward it to the finance department and a Supervisor will call within 1-2 business days. I still have yet to receive this call. And I keep getting the same run around. Terrible service. It does not take 2 months to refund an order that YOU cancelled.
I purchase 140 dollars worth of stuff on Black Friday of 2018 online. Never received the package. I called multiple numbers, left messages, and never received a call back from garage. I also called UPS and made a claim. Took a whole month which made no sense, and they still weren't able to get ahold of someone from garage. Then I went through my bank and had my bank refund the money while they investigated the matter. Some how my bank was able to get in contact and took the money back from my account. Garage claimed I received my package. Never received, never worned, never washed, nor reused any item from that purchased made from that day.

They have a ridiculous policy that clothes purchased with a gift card can not be returned. Employees are unenthusiastic. I placed an order online and one of the items I ordered was out of stock and they sent me a gift card for the item but the amount on the gift card was unequal to the item amount. It took weeks to ship, and customer servie was hard to get a hold of and unhelpful. The clothes are extremly overpriced and bad material. I have once purchesed an article of clothing from here and did not try it on- when I got home it was ripped and they refused to let me return until I asked to speak to the manager. I hate shoping here but it seems that my gift cards unfortunetely never run out.
I ordered from them in June, received notification that my items shipped and then didn't receive half of my items! I contacted them only for them to tell me to contact UPS. Okay, so I check my ups tracking and it says "shipping label made" but it hasn't been received! It never even got to UPS.
So I contact them and they keep dodging it and not refunding me or sending me items I paid for!
THEY ARE A SCAM YOU NEED TO AVOID!
I'm so disappointed in garage clothing. I spent over 900$ in online purchases. Many items came in ripped and the wrong sizes. When I went in stores to return the 7 items, I was told my money would go back on my cash as they were unable to give me cash. I received 1 payment for 2 items returned... and that was it. After waiting for the other 5 items over 2 weeks I called the customer service number for garage clothing and could not speak with a manager as they're were "none available" (so happens every time I called there wasn't any manager available). I was suggested to provide receipts and more information as now they asked me to prove it was my money. I sent several emails containing order numbers, screenshots of the 5 items I haven't received, my online receipts, and in stores receipts as I had to repurchase items and was told it would be okay because all items returned would show up back on the card. I've went through the process of calling, being told I will get a call in the next 24-48 hours as a manger isn't available, then I don't receive a call instead I get another email saying I need to send more receipts, more information just to have my money returned for items I don't even have. I'm just so exhausted and done with the clothing company I wanted to spread awareness to anyone else that might try to purchase clothing online from this company as they steal customers money for returned items. I'm going on week 4 of this and they're still "further investigating".
Answer: It's similar to American Eagle, but it's a bit cheaper depending on what you're looking at. The jeans from Garage are cheaper but equal quality to American Eagle, but American Eagle has more options. The shirts from Garage are super soft and amazing material. Garage is probably my favourite store.
