- Ordered 1 item: delivery was to be for 14 feb. Did not arrive, and no notice of any kind. - 15 Feb: receive a notice it will be received on 16 Feb. Didn't need it by then so i asked to cancel. "Can't cancel an order under 3 days of shipping date"- so my money kept by GB and the vendor and I just need to accept this. -16 Feb: will not arrive until 7PM. I'm not in the delivery area anymore, and it won't be delivered until 7PM, so no one will be able to receive it. They offered a lot of apologies, and some misdirection (reminding me how to prepare the food I don't have when I get it/if I get it) but at then end of it, my money is gone, and they don't own the problem= FAIL. The hardest part is when customer service drowns you in apologies, and "so sorry for YOUR experience, here's a discount to suffer our uselessness again for a little less money than what you spent before". At the end they're trying to sell you on a spoonful of excuses you know they themselves couldn't swallow if they had to endure the same incompetence they spill on you. It's a sales portal, and like many other sales, they're not skilled in customer service or ownership. Some of these well named chefs should be careful of brand association

I ordered a cake for a friend's birthday. The cake arrived 5 days later than the estimated delivery and was completely smashed. I contacted the company and they would not issue a refund.

The scones order from Seven Sisters was wonderful. The product was packaged well and the scones are delicious.
However, the quiches from Mrs. London's Bakery arrived upside down, broken, and unfrozen. They were packed with no freezing or even no cooling agent. We had to throw three of them away. I will never order from this bakery again.

We received a gallon of Phil's Fish Market capping last year. It came in from CA still frozen solid. With the addition of some clam juice, shrimp and prawns, it lasted many enjoyable meals. Yummmm. Ordered two gallons this holiday season for when our three kids and their families come here to AZ. Looking forward to a very happy meal together!

Ordered cheesesteaks and, when the food arrived, the ice was melted and the food was spoiled, soggy, and warm. You basically pay ridiculous prices for food only for it to arrive spoiled and no opportunity to secure a refund.
So many obviously fake reviews to inflate their rating (and I can prove it).

Horrible. They sent me the wrong product and will assume NO responsibility for it. They don't care—and won't accept food returns. The pictures I sent clearly show a product that I didn't order…the receipt showed wording describing what I DID order, and the picture of the item in the box was something entirely different.
So I'm stuck paying for a lower priced item that I never ordered.
They are 100% wrong—and could literally care less.

Tip for consumers:
Never expect a return/exchange. Even when THEY ship you the wrong product.

Food was ordered to arrive on Friday the 20th for my husband's birthday party.
Was supposed to be shipped overnight as highly perishable... food was shipped or prepared Thursday 19th but arrived Monday 23rd, travelled for four days and wasn't cold at arrival.
Obviously not edible anymore. I am beyond frustrated! So disappointed!
I called 3 times and left messages, no one is calling back. Send a couple messages with email as well...

The mechanics of the experience are great. I didn't know this site existed and I came upon it one day by accident. This is a great website. I only wish the portions on the sandwiches were bigger. $79 for two sandwiches which includes shipping is expensive for a Working Girl like me.

We ordered donuts for $59 (yes quite pricey for 12) but they are gluten free and from our favorite place in Chicago. It was our first time ordering. My kids were so excited to get them. Upon their arrival, we were crushed. Completely melted to the wrappers and the package box was torn open. They arrived on time so it was not due to delays with shipping. We felt completely ripped off. I immediately contacted customer service and requested a refund. It took a week to hear back and Only to find out per policy, NO REFUNDS! They do not stand behind the products they sell. For my first experience and the price. I was very disappointed and had to share so others do not make the same mistake as me. Big RIP OFF AND SCAM! DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Don't order anything from these people. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. They upsell you for guaranteed delivery, don't deliver the product you pay for on Valentines day, then tell you to read their shipping policy when the fruit arrives a week late, and rotten. Unreal. This is of course, after you talk to their customer service with template responses for 2 weeks. Absolute garbage pile of a company.

I ordered two items from Goldbelly (specifically, Chesapeake Bay Gourmet): a sprial cut ham and "Maryland" crab cakes. Overall, the ham was good, but not greatly better than many of the spiral cut hams I have bought at my local supermarket. However, the crab cakes were truly awful. They were nothing like the crab cakes pictured in the advertisement. They were small and frozen on arrival. I hoped that they might plump up when baked, but that didn't happen. They were advertised as having been made from "high quality Maryland lump blue crab meat," but that was definitely untrue. The cakes were mushy and unappetizing and ended up in my trash. I made better crab cakes thirty years ago from cheap, canned crab meat imported from Thailand. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Goldbelly, nor will I be ordering again from them.

Maybe people in Colorado have different standards for pierogies. I come from a long like of Czech and Polish pierogie makers and these thick doughed dumplings were awful. Plus they got my order wrong TWICE!

I ordered 3 pizzas from Tony's Pizza Napoletana in San Francisco through Goldbelly. My husband and I visited from North Carolina and absolutely loved their food. As a surprise for NYE/our wedding anniversary, I placed an order on 12/11 and selected 12/31 as a delivery date. I heard nothing on the order, but did see a shipping label was created on 12/23 and then assumed all was on track. On 12/30 at 6pm, I got an email from Goldbelly stating that the shipment would be delayed until 1/4 and that I had until 1/1 to cancel the order. It is completely unacceptable to notify a customer the day before expected delivery, not offer any sort of compensation, and only allow them 40 hours to cancel the order. The customer service is poor at best. I would absolutely not recommend using this company, especially if you are planning to have it delivered for a special occasion. This was my first and will be my last experience using Goldbelly.

My sister, who has successfully used various Goldbelly vendors, sent me their lox, bagel, cream cheese selection for my birthday. It is sent from Utopia Bagels in Whitestone NY. Everything inside the box arrived warm, to the extent that I felt eating warm lox, by then slimey, was probably not smart. There were two very small bags of freezeable liquid that had totally thawed. The bagels were fine, but unremarkable. Box was sent "next day air saver". So assuming food was in the box for two days in warm weather, with tiny cold packs, it's no wonder everything arrived warm. After informing Goldbelly my sister was told to send specific photos of box, food etc. which we did. Goldbelly informs they can not send replacement items. It appears she may get a reund. Goldbelly lox, bagels cream cheese through Utopia Bagels, not a good idea.

I ordered a wedding cake through Goldbelly. It was shipped with 1 small dry ice package and by the time my order was received it was a melted mess! I reached out for a refund and was told that due to their policy they could not refund me. They were willing to ship me another melted mess but not return my money for a damaged product. I am very disappointed and feel duped. Never again will I purchase through this company. I will make sure all my friends, colleagues, and family are warned as well.

I can't possibly say enough bad things about this service. Absolutely my worst online ordering experience ever. I ordered a bagel, lox, cream cheese special. Delivery was supposed to be several days ahead of the event. It shipped late; the weather was bad. The package was due Friday. I called and emailed Goldbelly Thursday because Fedex said the package was sitting in Memphis; no response. Did the same Friday; no response. Spoke with Fedex after a long hold, who were honest and said there were weather issues but they'd try to get it on the first available flight. Called and emailed Goldbelly Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. The package arrived Tuesday evening, spoiled compeltely. Goldbelly finally responded Wednesday, AFTER I initiated a dispute with American Express over the bill. GB's response was to offer me a credit! I then phoned Russ & Daughters and spoke with a lovely person who said she was going to get in touch with Goldbelly immediately. Only then did they issue a refund. Their website and phone machine say their customer service is available from 8am EST but this is completely untrue. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and from now on, will go directly to the restaurant.
Any business that can't manage to send even an automatic email for six full days shouldn't be in business. And after all this, their response to my BBB review was " During these times, we're experiencing extremely high order volumes, and email inquiries. We're a small team here at Goldbelly and we're getting back to everyone as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience. Tatiana and the Goldbelly Team". They didn't even bother reading the review, let alone explaining why ther was zero customer service for six days. Shockingly bad.

Tip for consumers:
Go straight to the restaurant and place your order there. At least you know someone will answer the phone or your email that way.

Nothing. The food was spoiled and had to be thrown away.

Order was 3 days late & missed very important delivery date of 12/20... baked goods not fresh after likely sitting for more than a week before finally delivering. Extremely disappointing experience with Goldbelly. After I called customer service after 3 days passed due date & still not delivered & was not offered any compensation/refund for totally blowing the delivery date which was an 80th birthday for a family member.

I ordered 2 king cakes through gold belly.com when they arrived they were both stale. I reached out to the basket and they would refund me had I ordered directly through them, but since I had not I was told to reach out to goldbelly. After reaching out to goldbelly I was told to refer to the return policy that all sales are final & was offered a $15 credit for future orders mind you my stale cakes were over $60. Wow! My 1st time using this company & will be my last. Watch the find print & done expect this company to do the right thing. I understand no refunds, but they could have at least gave me a full credit to use! As easy as it would have been for me to get a refund from the originating bakery they could have done so also.
