Big semi-easy saving at C.V.S. Massachusetts locations. Sometimes the cashier acts like it is bothersome to lower the insurance cost to the NICE Goodrx price. I Think this "coupon shamming" is taught to them through corporate culture. Maybe they drank the (C.V.S.) koolaide. But you have to stand your ground so they lower the cost.
This is the sh1ttiest telehealth someone could ever receive. I contact Goodrx care to get a simple refill for a topical clindamycin solution I use for my HS. IM ACTIVELY FLARING. I have already been diagnosed by a derm so I thought like any rational being would that I should just set up a consultation for prescription refill. I pad for the gold membership to get the 19.99 consult and waited for around 3 hours for a reply. After waiting all that time the nurse replied stating that they don't prescribe refills for antibiotics for HS which would only make sense if I was filling an ORAL prescription. MY REQUEST WAS FOR TOPICAL TREATMENT. I replied to the nurse and asked why. I asked or clarification hoping someone would work with me about how to best handle the situation. Instead I got ignored and was told to start general visit for consultation. I was assured by the phone rep. That I could get my fill through the general visit. I tried again on Saturday afternoon. So far now I've been charged twice for consult. I did not get reply from a nurse until 24 HOURS LATER asking me if I was told to start a consult under general visit instead of Acne treatment. HS IS LITERALLY CALLED ACNE IN VERSA and yet they cancelled my visit after I've already attempted for 36 hours to get a prescription fill. Even though I selected GENERAL VISIT, their system routed me to Acne consult and that's somehow my fault. I contacted good rx again and the rep told me she would escalate the issue to a doctor for a second look. I literally get a message from them restating that I should've done a general visit and to try again but choose a more "vague" symptom for the system to route me to right place. SYMPTOMS ARE VAGUE. That's what the f*xck a symptom is. Goodrx is hot fxcking garbage. How are you holding a customer responsible for the system YOU put in place and then keep suggesting that they get charged 3 times in a row when you could just HELP THEM. Or at least, instead of cancelling their visits after making them wait days for a reply, create a system where they can be routed to he correct place and receive treatment? It doesn't matter if the refund is coming back in 10-15 days. What if that's my last 60 dollars for the week? The complete negligence and lack of care Goodrx showed, I will never use them again. Absolutely fxcking disgusting and disrespectful. Just so y'all can get kickbacks for referrals. I hope you ROT.
Same as low ratings users describe... Filled prescriptions at Kroger on several occasions using GoodRx coupons. Most of the time price was as quoted, then suddenly the price was doubled. Just yesterday, this happened again. $20 last month, $40 this month. Krogers response? "Prices vary". SOS. That wonderful American creed: Get yours no matter what, and stick to whoever you can. Greed, greed, greed. Thanks to Kroger, GoodRx, thieving insurance companies, and pharmaceutical companys most of all, I get to suffer sudden withdrawals from an antidepressant now, which as I've read are quite severe. So glad all these folks really give a #!@$& about our health.
"Wow what a life & money saver"
To the people that make goodrx should be greatrx you folks are awesome, it's fine time someone started looking out for the little guy and not making the pharmaceutical companies richer.
The problem with GoodRx is that they are known as an aggregator. They use several sources to find discounts and don't actually negotiate pharmacy contracts themselves. That said, it should be a good business model like Priceline and other online shopping services. However, GoodRx uses National Drug Codes of massive quantity purchases typically found in large mail order warehouses so their coupon price is often less than the pharmacy's cost for the drug. That is why several people and pharmacies complain that their coupons are invalid.
Hi Al - thanks for your post. GoodRx simply lists available discounts that the pharmacy has contractually agreed to accept. We don't dictate prices to pharmacies, and we're happy to work with pharmacies if there are ever any issues. Feel free to contact us to discuss further.
So I was skeptical as hugely discounted but we are in between insurance after moving states and I'm disabled on a fixed income. My daughter has special needs and needs her meds so no choice but to try. I went to Walmart and showed them the discount info on my phone. She entered the info and voila the price was as quoted on Goodrx. I left with 600.00 in scripts for 39.00. Yes 39.00! It actually cost less then my old insurance co pays of 25.00 each for tier 3 drugs. I highly recommend Goodrx and don't know why some pharmacies are telling people it's a scam other than it's an assumption as it doesn't appear from the reviews they're evrn entering the discount info. If you experience this maybe try another pharmacy or good ole Walmart. I don't usually do reviews but this was just amazing!
Thanks!
I'm forever getting the run-around from Insurance requiring Prior-Authorization, which takes a week for the doctor's office to submit. Yada, yada! Finding GoodRX was a godsend! I don't even mess with the Insurance. I present the 'GoodRX' discount coupon once & get that price on subsequent Refills.
Those who are saying "never again" are blaming 'GoodRX' when their pharmacist is really to blame! They act like they're being persecuted! Just go to another pharmacy! Or FOLLOW the recommendations of 'GoodRX' & contact them for dispute resolution.
*... and get off your high horse! Ha!
I went to the Safeway pharmacy today to pick up my prescription. It was over $900 and with the coupon code it came down to $329. It was my first time using it but it is the real deal. For those whiners out there stop expecting everything for free. If you get any discount your lucky.
Hi David! Thanks for sharing your experience with GoodRx. Glad to hear we were able to help you save on such an expensive medication. GoodRx will always remain free to our consumers!
Goodrx online shows Glimipiride 180 tablets as 11.00 approx in Hyvee. But Hyvee pharmacy charged 20.00 when they ran thru GoodRx. Even showed the print out from GoodRx website showing that price. Absolutely no help, frustrating and waste of time.
Hello Ann--We’re very sorry if you experienced trouble using our coupons at the pharmacy. Our prices are generally very accurate and pharmacies are contractually obligated to accept our discounts under most circumstances. Our Advocacy Team would love to look into this for you! Please contact us at 888-799-2553 and we’ll investigate immediately.
My most recent Rx cost $37.00 instead of the usual GoodRx discount price of $6.94. When I went to pick up the prescription they told me that they were no longer honoring GoodRx or another similar discount company. Bottom line was "do you want it or not?" Nice surprise! Have to begin looking for another supplier who will be ok with GoodRx. Problem is, now that all prescriptions are electronic, the doctor needs to know in advance where to send it and if the vendor will cooperate.
Tip for consumers:
GoodRx is great when you can get it to work.
Walmart takes coupon fron good rx at their discretion but this is not on coupon just says
No discount for pets. Good rx sucks. Wanted $60.00 had a coupon for 35.00. Talked with customer service all they dud was make excuses wasted 22 minutes in phone offered nothing.
Most of our discounts work for pets and we tell you when they won't. We can help - email help@goodrx.com.
I have been using goodrx for a few prescriptions since last year & it has always worked out well for me (@ Kroger & rite aid). It cuts my gabapentin price in half! So today I was wondering if there's a chance they might be able to save me a few $'s on suboxone (it's expensive). I checked all the prices & they are all way higher than what I actually pay. I pay 324@ rite aid & the rite aid coupon says 406, however I just read a review in which a goodrx user said he paid just 126 for a months supply of the same medication. I'm wondering if my always helpful pharmacist can help me figure it out.
It may not work for certain pharmacies but it's definitely worth a try. I saved $20 on one prescription because insurance didn't cover it. Definitely a great app. Just don't think it's gonna work for every single medication you get filled
This would've been my third year using GoodRx. Ive had nothing but problems every time I use them. I've had this prescription prescribed to me by THEM the last two years. Mind you I've been on this medication for 8 years. I've had migraines my whole life and more from my concussions. I see a neurologist for that. Never EVER did they say I can't take my medicine due to migraines. GoodRx randomly decided they couldn't give me my prescription because "I get migraines." Such a long process for absolutely nothing but stress. Let alone the endless loop I had working with customer service. Horrible. I will never use them again.

First time tried to use GoodRx was told by Walmart they don't take it, second time HEB said they would honor but if it turned out to be a scam they would not do it again. I feel better off trying another dicount program that the pharmacies back. Tired of f being embarrassed.
Sorry for the inconvenience. Our prices are based on contracted rates that pharmacies have agreed to accept. Thousands of Americans use GoodRx every day without an issue. Typically, if there is a problem, it's a pharmacist who either misunderstands or simply doesn't want to provide our discount to the customer. We'd love the opportunity to look into this issue for you and resolve on your behalf - we're quite good at it. Please email info@goodrx.com if you'd like us to resolve. Thanks.
Took $14.60 GoodRx coupon and prescription to CVS for 90 count phenobarbital 64.8mg tablets. After two refills at that price the next one came up $17.27. Complaining did no good. One more at $17.27. When I specifically asked if my next or future refill(s) would be $17.27 I was told yes. Went to pick up critically-needed meds and the price was $33.99. Pharmacist told me that they looked it up on GoodRx.com and it was $33.99. Less than an hour later GoodRx site said $21.26. Complaining is futile. I am going to report fraudulent consumer practice to Ohio Attorney General.
Thanks for your feedback. GoodRx doesn't control prices, we simply show the current lowest prices and discounts. That said, these price changes seem unusually frequent - which makes us think that someone (the pharmacist?) isn't quoting you the correct price. Please email help@goodrx.com so we can make this right?
I tried 3 times to use a good RX coupon at Rite Aid because my Primary physician told me that the medication tat I need, which my insurance won't pay for, would be only $36.68 with the coupon instead of $300. But the Rite Aid pharmacist said he 'ran' the coupon several times and each time GoodRx would not honor it. He got a new one but it still would not give me the discount that it claimed it would give me. He said this is not unusual, it happens all the time and he hates disappointing their customers but you can't trust in Good RX coupons to work. I cannot give 'proof of purchase' for this review because i could not afford to purchase the medication
Tip for consumers:
Don't trust that the GoodRX coupon will work

We are truly sorry to hear about your experience at Rite Aid pharmacy, Cheryl. Our Advocacy Team would be more than happy to reach out to the pharmacy on your behalf. Please give us a call at 888-799-2553.
A doctor asks me a stupid question even though I did provide an answer in my initial questionnaire and because of that they were taking forever to get back to me when I needed help right away! This is a fraud where they take advantage of your money and time, because you have to pay upfront, when you desperately need help. It is a message system, not a real time chat so you have to wait until a doctor responses to you. It is a total disaster. Do not use them and waste your money.
Tip for consumers:
Do not use this site. It is a fraud.
We understand your frustrations and appreciate your patience, Jessica! We can of course look into this for you or issue a refund as part of our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee; please send us a message through your GoodRx Care account and we'll be happy to help. As you know our GoodRx Care message center is not a live chat. It may take up to 4 hours to receive a response during normal business hours, Mon-Fri 6AM - 7PM PST, and 8 hours outside of normal business hours.
This happened in two states now. In my prior state, it was cheaper to pay cash with the pharmacy's regular discount. I didn't use the card.
I got a couple of prices and called the pharmacy w/the lowest price here. The said they're having problems with the company's quoted price and invariably had to call and call them again. The costs quoted were bogus. Consumers were screwed - nothing new and this confirms what I saw but didn't understand. In this new state, I only called one pharmacy that's local for two quotes and I'll pay about $3 more for one and $7 more for the other. I'll stop enriching the pharmaceutical companies for one script and will just not bother filling it anymore.
Well hello John! We aren't having issues - our prices are right. Sounds like a misunderstanding - can you email help@goodrx.com and we'll make this right for you?
Before going to the pharmacy with your goodrx coupon call the pharmacy to check. Goodrx sends out FAKE coupons with amounts that are not accepted. You call them and they don't answer. I have Blink.com totally reliable with no b. S. on their prices.
Sorry, we didn't say that. Not sure where you heard it. Our prices are contractually set with pharmacies. Please email help@goodrx.com for assistance. If you've had a bad experience, we'd like to make it right.
I am not yet done with my interaction, but I do not expect that this review would go above two stars, even if I waited. When I log in, their page is oblique, and difficult to use (yes, I am a troglodyte, but I get through most sites much better than theirs). The pharmacy just called to say that they had not received the prescription, though GoodRx said it had been successfully sent. The woman at the main phone number can do nothing, and when I call the second phone number she gives me, they hang up when I go through the steps they require. I am about to make a last effort, or call back for my money back.
We're sorry you've had a negative experience with GoodRx Care, Jeanne. Please send us a message through your GoodRx Care account and we'll be happy to help. We are available Monday through Friday from 6am to 7pm PST, and have delayed hours on the weekend. Please keep in mind, it is not a live chat, and someone will respond as soon as possible. If you feel you have been waiting an extended period please let us know.
Good RX was accepted no problem at Safeway. It saved me 96% for generic Cialis. Safeway does require the coupon to be printed on paper. Not just showing the coupon stored on your mobile phone. This is definitely worth using Good RX! 100 % satisfied customer
Hello Scott--We are so happy that we could save you 96% on your medication! Thank you for taking the time to share your experience!
I have tried using GoodRx numerous times and have experienced ZERO savings. In fact, I just had a new med prescribed and when I went to print a coupon on GoodRx, it said "$886" with coupon. That is $64 more than the pharmacy wants to charge me without the coupon. This has been my experience virtually every time I ever thought to get a coupon. Believe it or not, you get better discounts with coupons straight from the pharmaceutical company that manufactures the drugs. Depending on your insurance, the manufacturers coupons often leave you with a $0 copay for the specific drug. (not always)
Sorry to hear about the high price Mark! We do also provide additional resources for expensive medications. To find these additional resources, search for your prescription on our site, and scroll to the bottom of the page. Please keep in mind that while these programs are free, some rules and restrictions do apply.
I try to get a discount on my script and the one they gave me was 23.00 more than what the pharmacy told me it may be good in the past but like most places after a while they don't care about the customer just want to make money off the pharmacy and the people
Hi Greoge,
Thank you for reaching out and letting us know about this pharmacy. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced while trying to use a GoodRx discount. The pharmacies listed on our site are actually contractually obligated to accept the coupons we list. (The only exception to this being controlled substances, as discounts for controlled substances are honored at the discretion of the pharmacy/pharmacist).
I would be more than happy to reach out to your pharmacy and see if we can get the correct discount applied for you. We can also notify the coupon provider of the experience you had with this pharmacy. From there, they will notify their corporate office who can re-educate the staff at this location on their contractual obligations to accept the discount.
To do so, there are just a few pieces of information we will need. I am sending you a private message for this info. Looking forward to working towards a resolution for you!
My old insurance paid a major portion of a medication, but my new insurance pays NOTHING. That left me to potentially fork out $328 for a 1 month supply. I checked out Good Rx, and was skeptical, but what did I have to lose, or go without this necessary maintenance medication. Went to Safeway, where my portion was listed cheapest, and had doc office send Rx. At counter, was charged $13 of a possible $369. No muss, no fuss. Good Rx paid the rest. Thank you. Now I can stay on course with a med I truly need.

Hi Raymond! Our goal is to help Americans save on their medications at the pharmacy and we're glad to hear you were able to locate your medication at a cheaper price!
Please. I am honestly begging you. I will do whatever you want. If you just ask me to look it up BEFORE I fill the script. Don't wait for the price from your insurance. If you think it will be high and you have the card or phone or whatever ready: call ahead. Ask them to compare the prices for you. It will save us both a LOT of time. It does not take 20 seconds, as that commercial may suggest, to change the price for you. My soul dies a little each time I scan out a script and then they pull out their little card. (Also highly do not recommend using the cards. Print it out. At my pharmacy we use our phones for you, but i know a lot of places wont do that, so if u want the EXACT price you found - print it. They change the cards)
I have saved a lot of money with this card over other discount cards; however, the pharmacy will not always give you the quoted price. Compared to other discount cards I have used, the savings are better with GoodRx, but it's impossible to know which card saves you the most without running every card you have, which no one will do. At this time, I still think it is the best discount available and if the comparisons are accurate, I have saved hundreds of dollars using this card.
