Big semi-easy saving at C.V.S. Massachusetts locations. Sometimes the cashier acts like it is bothersome to lower the insurance cost to the NICE Goodrx price. I Think this "coupon shamming" is taught to them through corporate culture. Maybe they drank the (C.V.S.) koolaide. But you have to stand your ground so they lower the cost.
This is the sh1ttiest telehealth someone could ever receive. I contact Goodrx care to get a simple refill for a topical clindamycin solution I use for my HS. IM ACTIVELY FLARING. I have already been diagnosed by a derm so I thought like any rational being would that I should just set up a consultation for prescription refill. I pad for the gold membership to get the 19.99 consult and waited for around 3 hours for a reply. After waiting all that time the nurse replied stating that they don't prescribe refills for antibiotics for HS which would only make sense if I was filling an ORAL prescription. MY REQUEST WAS FOR TOPICAL TREATMENT. I replied to the nurse and asked why. I asked or clarification hoping someone would work with me about how to best handle the situation. Instead I got ignored and was told to start general visit for consultation. I was assured by the phone rep. That I could get my fill through the general visit. I tried again on Saturday afternoon. So far now I've been charged twice for consult. I did not get reply from a nurse until 24 HOURS LATER asking me if I was told to start a consult under general visit instead of Acne treatment. HS IS LITERALLY CALLED ACNE IN VERSA and yet they cancelled my visit after I've already attempted for 36 hours to get a prescription fill. Even though I selected GENERAL VISIT, their system routed me to Acne consult and that's somehow my fault. I contacted good rx again and the rep told me she would escalate the issue to a doctor for a second look. I literally get a message from them restating that I should've done a general visit and to try again but choose a more "vague" symptom for the system to route me to right place. SYMPTOMS ARE VAGUE. That's what the f*xck a symptom is. Goodrx is hot fxcking garbage. How are you holding a customer responsible for the system YOU put in place and then keep suggesting that they get charged 3 times in a row when you could just HELP THEM. Or at least, instead of cancelling their visits after making them wait days for a reply, create a system where they can be routed to he correct place and receive treatment? It doesn't matter if the refund is coming back in 10-15 days. What if that's my last 60 dollars for the week? The complete negligence and lack of care Goodrx showed, I will never use them again. Absolutely fxcking disgusting and disrespectful. Just so y'all can get kickbacks for referrals. I hope you ROT.
It's a scam. They do not honor their advertised coupon price. My prescription price was double the coupon price and they said "oh we're sorry, the coupon for $180 is just an estimate". Since when something that costs double the coupon price an estimate? In addition, the pharmacy had a difficult time processing this.
Printed / took alleged goodrx.com coupon card w/ prescription to Walmart
Pharmacist nearly laughed me out of the store; said they would never even CONSIDER honoring
Appears to be scam to make/sell email addresses of vulnerable to? Who?
Pharnaceuticals?
Insurance companies?

My husband's insurance would not pay for the Provigil he needed post stroke, due to an off-label use. At a cost of $825/month, we could not afford it. I just picked up his Rx at a Target Pharmacy (Philly burbs) for $94.90, exactly as Goodrx quoted! I could not be happier or more grateful to your company! Please try Goodrx, you have nothing to lose and it may help in affording such expensive drugs. Thanks again!
And yes, it can be used with Part D or on its own.
Thanks! Just to clarify, you cannot use GoodRx with Medicare, but you can use it instead of Medicare.
I've only relied on good rx a few times cause I've always had decent insurance. I'm retired, have a decent Medicare plan, but employed husband just lost his job, waiting on unemployment. My recent script was going to cost over $18 with my insurance. Due to his loss of income I checked goodrx for a better price. The well known drugstore chain I use had the script ready for pickup, goodrx showed a price at their store $6+ less. When I tried to use the discount, it couldn't be processed because apparently now you have to know ahead of time who the manufacturer is that your drugstore uses. How is the average person supposed to know what manufacturers their drugstores buy from? Those change pretty frequently. You have to ask now for every script to see if they participate with goodrx? So now you have to compare store prices AND find out who the manufacturer is, that's crazy stupid. I'll never bother with these guys again.
Sorry to hear about your frustrating experience, Catie. We would like to look into this issue for you further, as you shouldn't need the manufacture information to use a GoodRx coupon. Please give us a call; we can be reached at 888-799-2553, Monday through Sunday from 6am to 9pm CT and would be happy to help!
Received a goodrx discount card from my doctor for a medication - checked the price on line and then went to the pharmacy - the cost was $60 more than the goodrx website listed it. Went back home, submitted my info on their website, they quoted me the same price and then sent the pharmacy the coupon. Called the pharmacy today and was told it is incorrect and they will not fill it for that price. Called GoodRX and was told that CVS is "contractually obligated" to fill the rx at the listed website price. Waited on hold for 30 minutes while the goodrx rep called CVS directly only to be told by the rep when she cam back on the line that goodrx has the prices listed incorrectly and they will have to "open a ticket" such bull$#*!. The rep was very nice and tried to be helpful but it's clear this is a scam. I wasted over 2 hours with the calls, and the visit to CVS etc. another company trying to get your info to use it for marketing etc. STAY AWAY
Hi CE - Sorry to hear about your issues. GoodRx prices are accurate - it sounds like there may have been some confusion between a GoodRx card and the coupons we offer at the pharmacy. We'd love to help and want to make this right - can you send us a message either here or at help@goodrx.com?
The most frustrating experience I've had. It was next to impossible to actually complete the process of the online dr visit, getting what you want and finding a way to get your prescription. Getting any help with an actual live person to complete your order is ridiculous! It's easy for them to get your billing info for the dr visit but getting the prescription is a pain in the butt. Finally gave up!
Hi Todd, we're sorry you had a negative and frustrating experience with GoodRx Care. We can of course look into this for you or issue a refund as part of our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. Please send us a message through the app or give us a call at 415-237-1378 and we'll be happy to help.
To say I had a few doubts is an understatement. I thought it had to be too good to be true. My mom's medicine is over $700 for a 3-month supply at some places. The absolute cheapest I could find was $240. But with this coupon I was able to get it for $101 at Target! I was already to fight with the pharmacist, or with the GoodRx customer help line, or both. But when I presented the coupon, there was no problem at all. I. Was. Stunned. And very pleased! Don't know how it works, but it really did for us.
I used goodrx to get a prescription my insurance stopped covering. CVS wanted to charge $205 for it, but with goodrx it was $58! I called the pharmacy and they said they would honor goodrx prices, but I was still skeptical. I printed out the coupon and gave it to the tech at checkout. They were quick and easy to process. I am so happy that I can still afford my prescription.
Don't believe everything you see. Many independent pharmacies are cheaper than good rx. And when you use the app it doesn't come up with the same price at the pharmacy. How can you believe Good Rx when they don't even use a real drug in their commercial. Google it.
Hello John--We’re very sorry if you experienced trouble using our coupons at the pharmacy. Please contact us at 888-799-2553 and we’ll investigate immediately.
My doctor gave me the GoodRx card today at my appt and said he thought it would help with the cost of my prescriptions. I was skeptical. I have a fixed income and a debilitating medical condition and really need these meds. I went to Walmart and they ran the GoodRx through with no problems. I saved over 75% off the cash prices I would have had to pay as I have no insurance. I am very grateful to my doctor, GoodRx, and Walmart for coordinating this great program.
Thanks!
Quick, convenient, easy! I was stressed out because I needed my birth control pills. I did not have time to set up a doctors appointment (currently just moved states and started a new job) nor did I have my new insurance cards yet. I filled out a quick questionnaire online and it was followed by a call from a Nurse Practitioner. The NP verified who I was and filled out my prescription. I was then sent a link to set up where I wanted my prescription sent to. I picked my nearest Rite Aid pharmacy and a hour later had three months worth of my birth control. GoodRx also sent me a coupon to show the pharmacist making my birth control just $5.99 a month. I would highly recommend GoodRx if you need your prescription fast and don't want to waste your time waiting at a doctors office.
We love to hear stories like yours, Savannah! Glad we can help make getting your birth control a fast and efficient experience. Have a great week!
I tried it today for the first time at Walgreens and saved $90 on a monthly rx! I don't understand why the bad reviews if it cost more to use the discount just tell the pharmacy you don't want the goodrx discount and they'll charge you under the plan that's cheaper for you!
Happy you had a great experience with us. Thanks for the review!
I have no Rx insurance, so GoodRx has been a lifesaver at times. But the coupons at Walmart, don't always agree with the computer at Walmart. The coupon discount is often not as much as Walmart discounts. Not sure where the communication problem is, but accuracy would make GoodRx a 5 star service.

I went to Walgreens with a Goodrx coupon for Albuterol Inhaler. After presenting Theo coupon, the clerk told me that the coupon would not work because Goodrx prices change everyday and the coupon was no good. A lot of difference between $29.00 & $53.00.

Took my prescription to Walmart based on the Goodrx price of $28 instead of the $200 average price at other places. Walmart first tried to charge me $177, when I told them to run the Goodrx card they said the price was $99. When I again showed them the price from the Goodrx website a manager said they would accept it just this once basically to make me go away but would not take the coupon price a second time. This whole mess took almost an hour of my time to fight for this price not sure its worth it.
Sorry for your issues. Walmart has signed contracts guaranteeing those prices. If you reach out to help@goodrx.com, we can assist further. Thanks.
I don't look for coupons don't use them. I had three prescriptions I needed filled. All three was 64.00. I usually pay over $100 at Walmart. I called Kroger and one script was $300. I'm grateful for this goodrx.com. Thank you
My insurance company was giving me all sorts of problems in trying to refill an Rx a month early--I needed the meds since I was going out of the country for an extended period. The retail price at my local Walgreen's was over $450.00. I found the GoodRx site, printed the coupon, and the same Walgreen's filled the script for $46.00. GoodRx solved my problem and saved me over $400! Very impressed!
Per my last review, I was using my voice text and did not check the grammar prior to posting, so please excuse the MANY typographical errors. It has come to my attention that Walgreens at times can choose to accept or not accept updates Good RX prices, as prescriptions vary monthly. Some vastly and some by a few dollars or so. On one occasion they gave me some limbo humbo about it being a controlled substance & that is why they couldnt take a new amount, and thats because it was about $20 some dollars less than the month before. However, I wonder if the situation was reversed, what the case wouldve been. Then on same day I called a different Walgreens to merely inquire on this and he was baffled. Then after placing me on a very long hold came back and said; it depends on the exact medication, (so the controlled sub. Was a lie, as they said ALL.). Nonetheless, the next month they accepted the updated coupon.
So frustrating.
Love Good Rx... but the problem is that the prices on different drugs vary wildly for different drugs at different pharmacies. So if you are on several drugs one of them might be much cheaper at Target but more expensive for other meds on your list. You find yourself price shopping with different prescriptions to different stores. This can be a headache... any solution? I guess just add up your list of meds with the TOTAL price and pick the pharmacy with the lowest total price of all the drugs combined. Thanks
Thanks for the review.
I called into customer service yesterday. The woman must have been working at home due to hearing dogs constantly barking. I explained my account was the free no charge account. They still charged me $5.99 which was pending. She claimed she refunded my money. So I look today and they still took the money out of my account again for the 2nd time. So now they got two payments and I don't fill prescriptions and haven't in two years and have not been charged in two years. Now all of a sudden I get two charges back to back. So I call back today and the guy on the phone says oh well nothing I can do. So I cancelled my card and ordering a new one before they charge more everyday. I don't even have the free account with these people anymore I cancelled it yesterday to make sure.
Hello Mike, sorry to hear about the trouble you experienced. GoodRx offers two types of coupon services; GoodRx Coupons, which are free, and GoodRx Gold Coupons which are $5.99 a month for deeper discounts. If you have accidentally signed up for GoodRx Gold or find that there is a fraud charge on your card for it, please give us a call at 1-855-487-0694. Or, if you would prefer you can also private message us on Facebook or Twitter and we can get the account cancelled and charges refunded on your card. Please note it will take about 5-10 business days for the refunds to process. Once again we apologize for you less than satisfactory experience.
I recently changed medications to one which was not covered by my prescription drug insurance. The price for my 30 day prescription was $640. I presented a GoodRX coupon to get it for much cheaper. They no longer honored GoodRX at Walmart. Took it to CVS. No dice. Kroger? Nope. RiteAid, perhaps? Nope. Two other Walmarts? Nope. Another CVS? Nope. GoodRX is not a viable method of lessening the blow of expensive prescriptions because no one accepts them, most saying, "We USED to take these, but don't anymore." Don't waste your time.
If you ever have issues using a GoodRx coupon, just let us know and we can help. Pharmacies are usually contractually obligated to accept GoodRx coupons. Email help@goodrx.com. Thanks.
My wife received a prescription for a new dementia med last month. CVS is our local pharmacy and the Dr's office electronically transmitted the prescription there. We are in one of the Medicare Advantage plans (Humana PPO) and the med was not covered well, resulting in a $386. Bill for a 30-day supply.
Today, after finding and registering at GoodRX, I paid $189. At Walgreens for her 2nd 30-day supply, utilizing the GoodRX discount. I had seen this same med as cheap as $117. At Walmart in previous weeks but apparently the pricing can change frequently- and wildly- as Walmart currently wanted $389.
So... use the handy search feature on the GoodRX website (where you'll get pricing), be ready to shop at different pharmacies and have your prescription in-hand so the pharmacy can give you an up-to-the-minute quote for your med. The savings really can be worth the additional trouble.
Maybe I should have been more skeptical for their advertisement on their web. I just couldn't make a doctor's visit on the same day to treat possible UTI symptoms (mild). I knew I had to be on the meds asap as I had experienced the pain etc before. After three days past, I didn't get any meds. All they said was to get a OTC test kit. No follow up nothing and my condition got worse. I will never sign up for them.
Hi Hiromi, we’re really sorry to hear that your experience with GoodRx Care was not the best. Sometimes our providers feel the best care you can receive is from an in-person test. We do offer a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee and would be happy to refund your visit fee. Please give us a call at 415-237-1378 or send us a message through our message center in the app and we'll be more than happy to help.
I needed a prescription for Biaxin, and yes I know I can get it generic, but I do not want generic drugs that come from foreign countries where you don't know what you get... plus my doctor agrees with me to stick with brand names. I went to my local drug store and the brand biaxin was ridiculously expensive. I used goodrx and found that CVS.com had it for 50% less. Obviously I can trust cvs and so I saved myself considerable money. What goodrx.com is useful for is figuring out which drugstore carries the prescription for the least amount of money. Sure you could call all of them but that would take forever. It is so easy to save money.
Happy we could help!
Sacm, avoid at all possibilities. They stole my money and gave me chalk tablets which have no active ingredient at all. I ended up taking 2 strips and it did nothing I recommend (presspharmacyshop.com) cause the are reliable.
