Due to an accident that left me with limited finger dexterity, I needed a shoe without shoe strings. The Gravity Defyer fit the bill in that it has Velcro straps plus it's super comfortable and lightweight - yet another plus feature.
After wearing these hiking boots a few times ( more than the return period) I started to experience extreme back pain, called customer service, they had no tech specification on the drop from heel to toe, seems they are trying to hide this info. The guy didn't even know what to call it, refused to take a comment to his company. I think it must be a deep drop ( over 11 cm). Most good shoe manufacturers will give you that information. Suggest you not but these if you have any back issues. Wearing these is like wearing high heels to hike. Not advised.
The shoes were super painful. They fit lengthwise, but they have too much room in the top of the shoe where my foot slid around and caused much more stress on my feet, legs, back, and hips. I tried to reach the company, but they wouldn't answer my calls or respond to my emails until after the money back guarantee expired. When you call the company, the phone number you are calling from pulls up your account. As soon as the call was answered, I was hung up on. The emails where I asked a refund were not responded to until over a month after I requested the refund. This company is horrible. After I did get in touch with someone, they argued with me and said they escalated my call, but then came back on and said the managers were in a meeting and would call me back. I never received a call.
I ordered a pair of shoes. I did not get a tracking number. The shoes did not come. When I emailed and asked them where the shoes were and why I didn't get a tracking number they told me the shoes were delivered. I told them I had them delivered to a business that was always open. They told me they would get back to me and did not. That was $100 dollars down the drain.
If you read my previous comment you will understand why I continue to say that I am totally disappointed with this company. Plus I just received a reply to my comment from gravity deftest asking me to call their customer service and say that I spoke to the person who replied for them. I was offered if I call that I could receive a discount on another product. Why would I even consider another product and spend more Money with you when I expressed my displeasure and because no one replied in a timely manner I was unable to return the product and as previously stated I donated them. I have no Intention of ever recommending your company and hope that your customer service department improves. Since I emailed your company you have the names of the
People who replied and they should be spoken to
I purchased a pair of Extora II for myself and another for my daughter. She liked her pair, but I didn't like mine. I sent them back promptly, following the return instructions to the letter. They acknowledged that they received the return, but first tried to get me to take a different pair of shoes instead of a refund. Then they started making me give them all of the same information that I had given them before, probably hoping to weasel out of giving me my money back!

Just don't!
Bought the Mighty Walker for $155. Wore 3 times, walking and standing. Ordered recommended size 7.5W which is what I've always worn in New Balance with no problems. The Gdefyer sneakers felt wonderful on first day; after 3 wearings turned out to be too short, too narrow and tight. The toe box is definitely not wide or deep. Due to the majority of reviews I will donate them rather than return since I'm sure the company would deny they are in 'like new condition' even though they are. I sent an e-mail to company and received response telling me I would receive a response in 24-48 hours; that was a week and a half ago. I will return to my favorite site... Zappos. They are free shipping both ways and 365 day returns... yes! 365 days.
Just received their UpBov 2.1 Therapeutic Sandals. You could say the only "therapy" they provide is the effort to keep them on. These are really slip-ons, as they lack a heelstrap to secure them. Walking & descending stairs feels perilous, as the "sandals" can slip off at any time. Tried tightening the 2 top straps, which was difficult (on one of them, the little metal tongue popped off & couldn't be replaced). So, basically, unusable. Buyer beware!
I like them and they do help my posture and my back. The problem is they only last 6 months under normal wear... The soles and heels separate from the body of the shoe Tried using various glues but none would hold for long I have bought at least 4pairs in the last 3 years Why is it you can buy a cheap pair of sneakers and they last forever. Even the dress shoes the heels separate
I know buy them used on ebay as I can't afford that kind of money on new ones any more.
Edward OConnell Deltona, Fl P.S. now they want a photo of proof of purchases yeh like I save all my receipts
This is my first purchase of the sandal, Sunset. I am disappointed about the comfort after a few hours on my feet. They don't have the cushioning comfort of the Ion or Energia sneakers that I do enjoy wearing.

Only had these shoes about 6 months and the spring in the left heal of shoe makes a poping noise everytime I take a step. The spring in the heal came apart. Can't show picture due to its inside of heal so shoe still looks normal but you can hear noises, poping sound every step I take.
I purchased a pair of G-Defy sneakers for my son for gym classes. The sneakers are 6 months old and the metal spring on the inside of the sneakers are coming thru the material, making them impossible to wear as
You are now walking on a spring. When we called the company, they said there was nothing they could do but sell us another pair of sneakers with a
Discount. They chose not to stand behind their product to see if there was
A quality problem. They were not even curious why this would happen after
Six months. I would never buy another itme from this comapny as they do not
Stand behind their ad of "Fully Guaranteed". After six months I am stuck with a $100.00 plus pair of useless sneakers that need to be thrown out.

I decided to do the 30 day trial with this company because I wasn't sure what to expect. I actually liked the shoes a lot. They are comfortable and since I have been using them I noticed that the stress on my joints has seem to decrease. I purchased a pair of the Nextas because I jog pretty much everyday and figured that they would be good to lessen the impact on my joints. Well, I am very happy with the purchase and will recommend them to all of my friends.
My first couple of pairs were decent and were actually comfortable. My last 3 pairs have been horrible. The insoles do absolutely nothing for my foot pain. Actually I think they have made my pain worse. I will be looking for a different shoe maker.
I bought a pair of shoes I have nerve damage in my toes a heel spur into bad knee I broke them in for about a week when shopping on Saturday was on my feet all day and my knee and my feet didn't hurt at all and the nerve damage in my feet are getting better

I ordered a pair of shoes from this horrible company and wore the shoes to work for 3 days. My low back and knees were in a good deal of pain and I decided to return the shoes. The company has a ridiculous return policy which I followed to a T! I get a response saying: You have store credit as the shoes were not returned LIKE NEW. This was a flat-out lie as you couldn't even tell the shoes were worn! I highly recommend avoiding this company as they are dirty.
Tip for consumers:
Highly recommend you avoid this company. Dirty tactics to avoid refunds. They even claimed that I had store credit but took me out of the system so I cannot even access it.

Gdefy...created more pain in lower trunk.
I purchased shoes on the try - on "no charge" of you don't like them program. Omg... NEVER EVER again. I returned the shoes immediately. They received them Oct 19. I got charged for the same shoes on Nov 2 and because of this, I accrued two overdrafts. Website says you won't be charged, but you will. It is Dec 9 and I am STILL waiting fir the full refund that they promised. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE... borderline fraud in my opinion.
My husband and I went in to a gravity defyer store to buy him a pair of shoes and we'll he was trying on a pair of shoes I started to look around and see what they have for women. Then I seen that they had a pair of walking shoes for women with bursitis. I didn't think that the shoes would actually work, I was in pain from my bursitis that day and it was almost time for my hip injections to calm down the bursitis. So I said what the heck I will try a pair on, the guy at the store got me a pair to try on the fit great now to stand up and walk. Let me tell you the instant I stood up the pain in my hips went a way and the more I walked around the store with them on my hip felt more relaxed! I bought and walk out with my shoes almost 3 months ago and I have not needed a hip injection since! Every person I see or meet I tell them about my shoes and how they have helped me with my bursitis. Definitely the Best shoes ever! Thank you gravity defyer you saved my hips!
Thank you Josephine for sharing your story!
So far I have purchased at least 6 pair of these shoes. I have plantar faciitis. But these shoes are not meant to cure PF but to help relieve the pain. I walk 3 to 5 miles per day. I have PF in my right foot. Since I walk everyday, the sneakers I buy are expensive (120 to $200 per pair) so the cost is not a problem. Pros: The sneakers have lots of cushion which I need, they are comfortable to wear, they last a long time. I've walked over 300 miles in each pair I bought. Cons: They are expensive, they are kinda of heavy (although I noticed that they've trimmed them down a bit--don't know why). The critics of this shoe either expect too much, expect the shoe to cure PF, don't like the high price, or they work for the competitor. One thing, you have to know what your actual shoe size is before you order. Know if you need a wide or a medium. I LOVE THIS SHOE!
I am very happy with my purchase of my gdefy shoes. They are very supportive and bouncey. They come with corrective insoles and comfort insoles. Also better fit insoles in case you want a tighter fit considering how roomy the shoes are. My feet swell so its just perfect. I am currently using the corrective insoles and I do not get as tired and sore when I walk. I am surprised at the many negative reviews. The service was wonderful. I ended up ordering the xlr8 running shoes a couple days later. The delivery was fast. They now use artificial springs not the metal ones anymore. They since made upgrades. This shoe is not heavy and I can just slip them on. Give your body a chance to adjust to them considering they are also corrective. Don't assume after 1 or more days that they are causing permanent pain. Your body has to adjust to any change. Thanks gdefy!

Love these pain relieving shoes. Be sure to order a size larger, maybe wide too if you need extra toe room. Putting the Ortho inserts inside takes up room, so order a size larger if you plan to use inserts like I do. These shoes are well made and have a wonderful heel pad (special patent) that provides an extra barrier between your heel (and spurs attached to your heels) and the ground your foot strikes. This shoe is designed around the human foot so it helps with correct posture. It also greatly reduces pressure and pain in the knees. Getting the right size and wearing both enclosed inserts is key to benefiting from the design of this shoe. I have severe pain when standing and walking, except when I wear these shoes or Crocs. I love these shoes and will buy another pair. I hope the creator continues to improve on his designs and adds vivid colors for unisex. The technology is something to rave about and podiatrists might consider sharing with patients about. Some shoes with similar technology cost up to $300. These are half that price and super comfortable for someone with severe foot pain. The seller offers a walking and running shoe. He may now have a yoga shoe out. I am researching all his products since I am pleased with this pair. Thank you to the engineer for creating a product that really does minimize foot pain.
Tip for consumers:
Because of this shoe I am taking a walk tomorrow with my dogs. I walked pain free today wearing these shoes. I didn't walk humped over either. I actually stood up straight like I used to. Showing these to my chiropractor tomorrow.

G defy Men's MATeem Cross Trainer Hybrid Verso Shock, blue and orange color, Ortho and Diabetic Shoe. Purchased on Amazon for $135.00 with free shipping. Delivered in less than 5 days in a nice box with info about the technology built into the shoe. Orthopedic inserts are included. Use both inserts in each shoe to prevent the Ortho insert from slipping inside the shoe. The Ortho insert has the arch support you need for correct foot alignment. Order a size larger then you normally wear to allow for insert room.
I love the way these shoes wear! However the soles of these shoes are way too slippery on any kind of wet floors. I am a 65 year old female. I was walking down my backyard ramp which was wet from rain. My feet shot out from under me and i busted my but! These shoes are too expen sive not to have a skid proof sole!
Bought a pair of shoes for plantar fasciitis and tried them for a week. OK for the pain but bad for my neuropathy so I sent them back for refund which was denied for them not being "like new". How can you know if the shoes will work if you don't wear them and I did not get them dirty. Total rip off; be warned.
I've owned 2 pair of gdefy sneakers; very comfy, especially for a very heavy woman. But the bottom black layer has slowly been detatching to the point where I start to trip on the flappy pieces, thus I need to cut off any flaps. E6000 doesn't help even if I scrub where glue goes. I want another pair, but hesitate, especially for the price. Please help!
Tip for consumers:
Each pair was almost a year old before they began to peel, so I don't expect a refund, but it's still dangerous for us old women.

Don't try to call Gdefy after making a purchase even if their item it defective. They won't answer the phone and if you are able to get an answer, your put on hold. I held the last time I was able to get through for 25 minutes only to talk to someone foreign that I couldn't understand. I retuned a pair of shoes for being defective on 4/19/10 and as of 5/5/10, they still haven't processed my return. They also made me pay to return the shoes out of my pocket. They were defective. Gdefy is with gadget universe. I think these shoes are one of their little gadgets. Since I ordered the shoes, I've read a lot of reviews stating that the shoes are substandard and poorly made. I'd just like to receive the pair i ordered to see for myself.
