Due to an accident that left me with limited finger dexterity, I needed a shoe without shoe strings. The Gravity Defyer fit the bill in that it has Velcro straps plus it's super comfortable and lightweight - yet another plus feature.

After wearing these hiking boots a few times ( more than the return period) I started to experience extreme back pain, called customer service, they had no tech specification on the drop from heel to toe, seems they are trying to hide this info. The guy didn't even know what to call it, refused to take a comment to his company. I think it must be a deep drop ( over 11 cm). Most good shoe manufacturers will give you that information. Suggest you not but these if you have any back issues. Wearing these is like wearing high heels to hike. Not advised.

I thought that these shoes would be great for my feet but just the opposite. I read that you can experience discomfort in the beginning from wearing them so I kept giving it a try and finally I gave up and realized it was causing more pain over the long term, pain I didn't have before. So unfortunately my like new shoes will now be given away

Previously loyal customer. Purchased Men's Black Mighty Walk for several years. Resolved heel spurs. However, recently experiencing pain at top of foot (Flat Feet.) Limping after long walks. Ankle soreness.
Also, customer service at location was less conscientious than in the past. Do not recommend.

Tip for consumers:
Painful after long walks. Limping from pain above arch and ankle.

Bought 2 pairs of shoes that arrived too late for my trip despite paying for expedited shipping. Multiple email requests for an RA form were ignored and no one called back off the 877 number. So I just sent them back, and they shipped back to me again. Now in a credit card dispute to protect myself.

I ordered a pair of shoes from Gravity Defyer for my mom but we ended up returning as they're very bulky shoes. However, it's been 2 months and I still have not received the refund after calling customer service twice. Each time they create or update the case but do not tell me when I'll receive a refund. It's incredibly frustrating!

This is one of the worst expenses and investment I've made into my feet the information I read is not for me I'm sure there's a million other Americans that are dealing with the same thing I am... beware of the marketing propaganda don't believe everything you read

Be wary of buying shoes from this company if you're ordering from Canada. The invoice price of 140.52 ( including the shipping price) became 194.00 on my credit card. I reached out to the company for an explanation of the additional charges and no response. An additional $68 was charged for customs clearance.The shoes fit small and I cannot wear them. A waste of money with no option to return. Terrible service.

Tip for consumers:
The shoes were advertised in Canadian dollars but taxed in US dollars well as shipping.

Felt good for a few weeks but after that being on my feet for more then 5 hours the pain starts coming back and I change in to another pair of shoes would never buy again. Helps a little and very high priced

I'm a nurse and bought these with high hopes. Left shoe without cushion, literally felt like someone had already worn it a year. Right shoe was fine. Obviously defective. Emailed twice and called customer service. I was told they would send return label. Never heard from again. Price does not equal quality. Very disappointing. I have to have good shoes since I'm on my feet all day. These are not it. Keep your money and buy local. The lack of customer service for >$100 shoes is not acceptable. LEARN MY LESSON! DON'T BUY! I'm stuck with expensive shoes I can barely wear an hour on the weekend. :(

Had a horrible customer service experience over exchanging for a different size. Agent was so rude and very arrogant!

I worked through the "pain" of breaking them in as directed. I then ordered a pair with velcro thinking that the laces were causing the new top of foot pain.

I only wear them 3-4 hours a day and have had them for about 4 months. My feet hurt just as bad, if not worse with these shoes and gets progressively worse. The lining inside started breaking down after a couple of months and is now shredded.

Don't waste your money. MBT used to make great shoes but I stopped wearing them when the materials became cheap after another company bought them. GD is worthless from the beginning.

At first, I loved these shoes! They come with extra insoles to tailor the fit better to your foot. They are very comfortable and relieved my pain on walks. However, after 6 months of minimal wear (I walk 1-2 miles a day 3 times per week) the inside of both shoes are tearing apart. I attempted to reach out to the manufacturer regarding this issue & they pointed me back to Amazon as the seller/vendor. Amazon said the return window had closed after 30 days of purchase. Too bad as I would have continued to purchase these shoes for years to come. Way too expensive to be falling apart at 6 months with minimal walking. Would not purchase again due to poor manufacturer customer support.

Attempted to contact GDefy customer service due to unusual wear of shoes after 6 months of minimal wear and was told to contact seller (Amazon). Amazon has a 30 day return policy. These shoes cost over $150 and should last longer than 6 months, especially only wearing less than 3 hours per week for walking!

I should have returned or thrown these shoes away a long time ago. They caused me to have plantar problems as well as pain in my toes and arch. They completely killed my heels. I bought them for support at work, but they proved to be the worse shoe ever. I would've been better off with a no name brand.

I have purchases multiple pairs of shoes and been more than happy. I have foot issues (flat, wide, planter f, etc) and for years tried all kinds of inserts (including special made ones from the foot doctor) with no relief from the pain. I could hardly walk a block without my feet, ankles, knees giving me issues. Once I purchased these shoes all of these problems cleared up. I was amazed! They are worth every penny! I have never had an issue with quality or shipping and just ordered sandals from them for the summer. After reading all of the negative reviews I guess you could say it is different for everyone. I, for one, am very happy and so are my feet, ankles, knees, etc

I used to struggle being on my feet all day for work or even exercise. I used to love hiking but overtime I get these weird pains in my shins and ankles after even just some light walking. My friend put me on these shoes and I've been soo much better. Thank god.

Returned shoes within two weeks as they were horrible for my feet, only wore them indoors, returned in original packaging. Still only store credit. Have been disputing the charge on my Amex for months now. Stay away it's not worth the hassle.

Quality of shoes are great. If they don't fit and you send them back, you are stuck with a credit! I wore mine around the house for a couple weeks, never went outside. I had back pain from them, returned them within the 30 days and was denied a refund because they were 'not like new'. Now I have to keep ordering different pairs until I find one I like. I would not recommend. Terrible customer service!

I called to order shoes in April of this year and was told I had a free pair coming. I ordered them and when I didn't receive them by the end of May I called. They said the style was out of stock and I said I'll take anything you have a size 9 in stock. They then said I'd have it in 3 to 5 days. I have called 8 to 10 times and was told the same thing every time I'll get back to you within an hour. Well it's now August 7 no sneakers no phone call. I sent an email last week and got an answer that they check into it. I hate having to write this but I don't know what else to do

I just came across this brand at DSW looking for Nike as I always wear but to no avail. I tried them on and was instantly impressed with how comfortable they are and such a perfect fit! The design and colors are perfect; they also came with a "perfect-fit insert and corrective fit". Bye Nike... I found a new love!

They have a 30 day return policy, I wore mine for 4 hours, found them uncomfortable, returned them, but they said they were not in new condition so they would not accept them, did give me credit good for 2 years, but if I did not like the pair why get another one

I purchased my gdefy black leather slip on shoes in March, it's now June and both backs of the heels have worn threw the material to the rubber core. The company is willing to send me another pair of the same shoes and I would be responsible for the postage. I just wanted to send the shoes back and get a refund since it's obvious to me it's a manufacturing defect they haven't corrected. They were rude and just talked over me when I asked for my money back. I'm 57 yrs old and have many pairs of shoes, this has never happened with any other shoes I've ever owned in my entire life. I can't figure out how to download a photo from my phone to my computer

Ordered my shoes on Friday and was told would get them Sunday as I paid for 2 days. Corrected them as UPS doesn't deliver Sunday. Stated. Monday. Monday came and went and now it states Tuesday. Paid $33 for 2 day delivery. Will not return my extra payment. Next time if. If! I am happy with shoes will drive 30 miles to a store. Otherwise other brands will do.

Just like everyone else's complaints horrible customer service, bought one sandal returned it after 5 days in the house because the site recommends you to wear them at least 4-5 days to get comfortable, returned them and they said they were not in "like new" condition and gave me store credit, wanted to just get my money but they never respond to the case they created. Bought a second pair for work and they fit fine and felt fine just wanted a smaller size and have heard no work from the company about even receiving my shoe fer return and every time I call they sat "someone from management will reach out to you in 24-72 hour" which never happens. They have horrible customer service and return policy and I paid 180 dollars for the sandals and pair of shoes and have neither product, they basically stole my money and wont return my inquiries, crooks just stay away!

stay away and go somewhere else!

I am baffled by all of the negative reviews. My Gravity Defyer shoes have been a life saver for me. They are comfortable, roomy and I have a lot less foot pain. Walking in these shoes is so much better than any shoe I have owned before. I have had no problems with the quality of my shoes. I have diabetes and I highly recommend the Gravity Defyer shoe!

I have lower back issues. After one 15 hour day on my feet I'm impressed. If this continues I'll be back for more. Off to Europe 4 two weeks of walking so we will see if this 7 plus decade body can wear these out,
