I bought a pair of their shoes and they were too small. I sent them back and got the next bigger size. They were heavy and not comfortable after a "break in" period, so I contacted customer service and they suggested I try the "orthotic" that was nothing more than a thin inner sole. I emailed them right back and said I had tried every combination, I got no response! These shoes are a total junk and customer service is worse!

So the sole of my shoe started coming off less than a month into wearing them. I inquired about replacing them and was met with automated emails saying that the shoes must be "like new" and in original packaging. This company doesn't seem to grasp the concept of customer service.

My son purchased me a pair for x-mas that were 1 size too small. So I called their customer service MULTIPLE times to arrange an exchange to a bigger size. I did EXACTLY as instructed and paid $60 to courier it to them in the original box. When I called again to see when I'd get the bigger ones they told me they DON'T do exchanges out of country. But they SOLD them out of country (I'm in Canada). Not one customer service agent told me this after MANY discussions. So it cost me $60 in shipping and I have no shoes. Broke my heart. They are not a good company to deal with, so I would not recommend them to anyone.

Their customer service is absolutely horrible. I chose expedited shipping for my order, which was supposed to ship next day and arrive in 3 days. The order did not ship for 4 days after the order. When I called to request a refund on the expedited shipping cost, they: 1) created a case in their system with the wrong information
2) I have have called 3 times now to follow up, and a "supervisor" has yet to get back to me with a resolution after over a month. The customer service representative are not empowered to do anything to service the customer, they are terse and condescending on the phone, and the "supervisors" are unresponsive. The shoes are comfortable, but you better hope you have no issues, because they will not service you.

Owner is a crook

No benefits, won't get a raise.
I started with Gdefy in 2022, it was a disaster! With the new warehouse manager things quickly turned around, for the better. I enjoyed my job, my boss, coworkers. I move up to a supervisor position. Fast forward to may 2024 I fall at work, get surgery on my foot in October. I then return to work in February and my department had gotten beyond behind. The owner then gives someone completely unqualified my job, due to my department so behind. But then wants me to train this person. For MY job! Are you kidding? It's now 2025. I'm the ONLY employee trained in every department of the company. I was fired for declining to train this person taking my position. The owner is a crook, we had days with no water, no internet due to not paying bills. Cutting hours due to lawsuits, major debt this guy has. Company's that he owed would come to the warehouse demanding their money, we would change internet companies because he would get so behind he couldn't pay them, changing pallet companies because he got so behind he couldn't pay them.
Never would come to the warehouse to check in, fired the entire returns department and then cuts everyone's hours to 25 a week. Then when cause and effect happens to a business that is still bringing in the same volume we are punished for it being behind. He has ZERO respect for anyone that works for him, his entire California warehouse is suing him. I probably should've left a long time ago when I knew all the bad things going on.

I have been a long time customer of Gdefyer. I recently made a purchase and spoke with Kelly. She could not provide me with an answer to my reward points. I kept telling her I would like to know what rewards I am receiving per shoe purchase, she indicated she would end the call because they are in the process of making a change. Unfortunately, this answer has been provided for years!

Furthermore, she blocked my phone number and indicated I needed to discuss via email. How can this company claim customer satisfaction guaranteed, when treated disrespectfully?

The FTC has a lawsuit against them as well for false advertising.

STAY AWAY!

I researched finding the perfect walking shoe and I did find it at Gdefy with the Energiya Walking Shoe.The reason I choose Gdefy was because of their return policy of "60 day Try Defy." I had called and was assured that as long as the shoes were returned within the 60 day Trial period I would get my money refunded. I ordered 3 different walking shoes and the two that I returned were not for me. I returned these shoes on January 10,2025 and its been 20 days and still no refund. I will come back and tell you all about my walking experience with these shoes once I get my refund. It will be disappionting that I will have to take other actions to get my money back. I AM WRITING THIS TO WARN BUYERS, I DON'T WANT OTHER PEOPLE TO HAVE TO DEAL WITH A POSSIBLITY OF FALSE ADVERTISEMENT, I WILL RETURN WTIH AN UPDATE HOPEFULLY ITS A POSITIVE WRITE UP.

Poor quality

Purchased a pair of gravity defyer,they just a year old and the soles are already separated called customer service basically they told me to bad nothing we can do,but a 10 percent discount on your next pair,they are kidding,just spent$140.00 should last more then year

After wearing these hiking boots a few times ( more than the return period) I started to experience extreme back pain, called customer service, they had no tech specification on the drop from heel to toe, seems they are trying to hide this info. The guy didn't even know what to call it, refused to take a comment to his company. I think it must be a deep drop ( over 11 cm). Most good shoe manufacturers will give you that information. Suggest you not but these if you have any back issues. Wearing these is like wearing high heels to hike. Not advised.

Causes foot pain

I thought that these shoes would be great for my feet but just the opposite. I read that you can experience discomfort in the beginning from wearing them so I kept giving it a try and finally I gave up and realized it was causing more pain over the long term, pain I didn't have before. So unfortunately my like new shoes will now be given away

Wear them everyday since I retired 2+ years ago have had them longer than that. I also wear them to exercise class and wonder when they are going to wear out. Thinking about buying another pair just for backup although they are still in great shape.

I ALWAYS wear a women's size 11 in every other brand, but the Gdefy shoes came and are so small that I can't even get my custom orthotics inserted into them (clearly their sizing is wrong). They claim to have a 60-day no pain returns and exchange policy, yet refused to exchange for the correct size (they only make women's sizes up to 11 so I would have to go to a men's 10 for the equivalent of a women's 11 1/2) and for some absurd reason they will not exchange women's shoes for men's sizes even though I wanted the same exact shoe just half a size up! The extremely curt representative said I would have to refund (and it would take 30 days to go back on my credit, plus I would have to buy a new pair, but I bought the original unworn pair with holiday promotions they then refused to apply to the new pair. When I asked to speak with a supervisor I was told it would be 3-7 days until I would receive a callback. Only then did I search reviews on the company to learn the owner of the company is being sued for false claims about their shoes and tons of negative reviews about their customer service. BUYER BEWARE!

Love these pain relieving shoes. Be sure to order a size larger, maybe wide too if you need extra toe room. Putting the Ortho inserts inside takes up room, so order a size larger if you plan to use inserts like I do. These shoes are well made and have a wonderful heel pad (special patent) that provides an extra barrier between your heel (and spurs attached to your heels) and the ground your foot strikes. This shoe is designed around the human foot so it helps with correct posture. It also greatly reduces pressure and pain in the knees. Getting the right size and wearing both enclosed inserts is key to benefiting from the design of this shoe. I have severe pain when standing and walking, except when I wear these shoes or Crocs. I love these shoes and will buy another pair. I hope the creator continues to improve on his designs and adds vivid colors for unisex. The technology is something to rave about and podiatrists might consider sharing with patients about. Some shoes with similar technology cost up to $300. These are half that price and super comfortable for someone with severe foot pain. The seller offers a walking and running shoe. He may now have a yoga shoe out. I am researching all his products since I am pleased with this pair. Thank you to the engineer for creating a product that really does minimize foot pain.

Run Too Small

My husband is a 10.5 sneaker & I am a 7.5. We ordered Gdefy in our size. Too small. So we ordered the next size up. Still too small. My husband & I never wore a shoe a whole size bigger. Plus they feel uncomfortable. Returned them. Waste of time. Also saw, after research they were sued by the Federal Trade Commission for false claims of stopping pain. Don't waste your time or money

PAINFUL FOR FLAT FEET

Previously loyal customer. Purchased Men's Black Mighty Walk for several years. Resolved heel spurs. However, recently experiencing pain at top of foot (Flat Feet.) Limping after long walks. Ankle soreness.
Also, customer service at location was less conscientious than in the past. Do not recommend.

Shoes do not last long

The shoes are great until they're not; which is to say that the shoes do not last but about 3 months before they start falling apart and they are no longer serving the purpose for which you bought them for in the first place (pain relief, comfort). Unless you are rich and purchase at least five pairs of shoes in a year, don't bother with the VIP Rewards program. That's a joke and and borderline scam. I have never reached the Gold or Platinum tier and I have 12,450 points. Further, unless I was rich and spent all my riches on their shoes, I would never be able to redeem but maybe 1,200 points out of 12,450 points. The shoes are not worth the money because they do not last long enough to get your money's worth. The company is shady with the VIP Rewards program. Thumbs down. Find a reputable company with quality assurance. The quality of these shoes is short-lived and the company is shady with the VIP Rewards program. That has been my experience with this company and I do not recommend them.

I've owned 2 pair of gdefy sneakers; very comfy, especially for a very heavy woman. But the bottom black layer has slowly been detatching to the point where I start to trip on the flappy pieces, thus I need to cut off any flaps. E6000 doesn't help even if I scrub where glue goes. I want another pair, but hesitate, especially for the price. Please help!

They caused pain!

I should have returned or thrown these shoes away a long time ago. They caused me to have plantar problems as well as pain in my toes and arch. They completely killed my heels. I bought them for support at work, but they proved to be the worse shoe ever. I would've been better off with a no name brand.

Squeaky shoes

OMG I feel like I've been transported to the Cheers episode titled SQUEAKY SHOES. The episode had us rolling on the floor it was so funny when everyone walked into the bar and their shoes squeaked with every step. You can also experience having squeaky shoes and everyone turning their heads to look at you when you walk within 30 feet of them. Just buy these shoes. NO NO NO don't buy these shoes. I had 6 pairs and they ALL SQUEAK long before they are worn out. Six pairs of squeaky shoes and the company WILL NOT replace one of them because it was over 30 days. I know…….shame on me.
