Do not buy anything from groupon goods! I have had very bad experiences with this website - the first one was when I ordered a pair of eyeglass frames. They had several models available and I picked one that I liked. The order went through and 2 weeks later, I get a shipment notification. Upon arrival one week later, I noticed that they were not the frames I ordered - so I printed out the return label and shipped it back. The second time I ordered a fan from this site. Two weeks later, I checked "My groupons" and found that the order was not even listed there. I called their customer service and they informed me that my order has been cancelled because the fan went out of stock! I didn't even receive any email informing me that it was cancelled. So, in conclusion, do not order from groupon goods - at least you can be sure you will get what you need elsewhere!
Horrible communication. They do not clearly communicate the fine print on the groupons you purchase therefore making you more susceptible to losing money on your Groupon for not following the merchant rules or other rules through groupon. You can live chat which doesn't seem to resolve many issues you have. I have had several issues with groupons I have purchased. One was for Jiu Jitsu and when I went to the place they told me they no longer accept groupons and that they have been telling groupon for the longest time to take their company off their site! Goes to show you how badly they are with communication. Please save yourself the money and hassle and buy through the actual merchants instead! It is well worth paying a little extra money to the actual merchant and to know exactly what you're getting too!
Will never order from groupon ever again. I never received my package. Check my groupon it said delivered. Fed ex is a terrible delivery company because they leave your package on the floor in the building where anyone could take it. They need to have a policy where you can sign for your package. This is not the first time. Never will order from groupon ever again.
I bought an iPad mini keyboard case and it cracked the corner glass. Wrote to groupon about it and all they offered was a $10.00 credit toward a future purchase! I now have an iPad that's been rendered unusable because of this defective product but I guess I should be grateful to them for $10.00 to spend with them if I should be dumb enough to ever buy anything from them again!
I ordered a digital body analyzer scale from groupon on September 15 and was promised delivery within 12 days... it is now October 14 and I still have no idea where my scale is and calling customer service is useless... I have been on hold for 42 minutes as of now only for them to be useless. I hope people realize that groupon is a scam for the most part and highly recommend NOT using them. They still have my money and my product and as far as I am concerned that is theft and or fraud... I have logged a complaint with the consumers bureau and highly suggest anyone and everyone who feels that they received the same treatment and dishonesty as me do the same.
Groupon used to be a really big thing. While I was in college I would hear a lot of people discussing it. A lot of people claimed to save a lot of money, so I figured "why not?" It was really great around 2013. However, I just cannot really find anything interesting on there. It has really fallen off from what it had been and I just don't find much value there at this point. It's almost like most local businesses have abandoned it.
When I travelled to US, I bought a groupon voucher for a local activity. However, it took a day for the groupon to show up as available to use in the app. By the time I had to leave and unable to use the voucher. Their custom support is hard to get and agent is rude. It is better to avoid this company.
I recommend that you avoid this site. My experience has been very bad. I purchased several coupons from Groupon, and paid with my credit card. But they never sent me the coupons! I have contacted them repeatedly, including citing the credit card transaction number, but they have not responded. My only way to deal with this was to (1) cancel this charge through my credit card company, and (2) never use Groupon again.
Bought a groupon for the buffet at Caesars palace. Groupon says you are saving 45% when in reality you only save 10%. When I got there the buffet price was $39.99 not $64.99 like their Groupon ad said. I only saved $4. I paid $35.99. I emailed them and complained but they do not give refunds and they did not pull the ad like I suggested.
I placed an order for three of one item. Two shipped right away and I received them. The other shipped, but the company sent them to someone in another state instead of me! It took three weeks for them to tell me I'm not getting the third one, and this was after many emails and phone calls.
Placed another order for an item and it's been two weeks and the item still hasn't shipped.
I'm done with Groupon!
Please don't book restaurants deals with them. They have found a very neat way to cheat customers. I have been cheated twice so I know. They tie up with a restaurant which publishes lucrative deals but has no intention of honoring them.
So I purchased a Groupon for a Mediterranean restaurant. When I reached the shop I found it was closed. They had shutdown their Business but Groupon conveniently kept selling the deal. But when you ask for refund they give you only credits back. I think this is their way to show that they are generating revenue
Same thing happened to me with Italian restaurant, only difference was that they were open but not willing to accept Groupon. When I asked for refund to Groupon, they refused and only offered me credit.
This is the last time I am using this fraudulent site. Just letting other customers know what problems they might face if they take deals through Groupon.
I purchased a Groupon for Psychic of Las Vegas. I have attempted to make an appointment and get no response. I contacted Groupon customer service and initially received an email with options on how they would handle the issue. I responded with my option choice and have since sent 2 more emails without a response. I will NEVER use Groupon again. I can't contact anyone from Psychic of Las Vegas to Groupon and no real person! If anyone knows how or who I can contact to get my money back, please let me know. What a horrible experience purchasing a Groupon and then trying to get Groupons assistance in getting a refund.
HORRIBLE. I purchased two items from Ideeli. The first item took about a month to arrive - even though their policy is to ship items after 10 days from purchase.
The second purchase was WORSE. After almost 3 weeks I contacted Ideeli about the status of my item. No response. Finally after about 4 emails they responded and stated that my item was out of stock. I asked if they ever were going to notify me that the item was out of stock. Silence. The only responses I received were cut and paste responses from their stockpile of responses.
NEVER again. Do not buy from them. Horrible customer service.
So I bought a Swedish couples massage. When I went to schedule it had been redeemed already. I contacted Groupon and they said that they will get in contact with the company. So a week later they email me saying that they unredeemed it and I can go ahead and use it. I told them I no longer wanted it due to the problems that occurred when I tried to use it. The company never responded to me. Now they're telling me that I can't get my money back because it's been more than 3 days! I will never order anything from them again. I don't understand how they can't give me my money back when they're the ones that let a scam site post on their website. Don't trust Groupon
I used Groupon when they first came out and they were outstanding. I use them recently and every Service Company was atrocious. I think they have no standard anymore of who they will allow on to Groupon and now a lot of companies who really are terrible are using them cuz they get the money up front. Groupon takes no accountability or responsibility if the company you picked a horrible job. I consider it the.
I paid a cleaning company $159 via Groupon and they did a stunningly atrocious job they really did no job. Groupon said too bad for me this is for you to take up with emergent and of course emergent that too bad for me. Too many lousy companies now with Groupon I won't be using it anymore.
Everything is in the title. If you want to unsuscribe, it becomes a fight (need to send an e-mail, wait for a response from the customer service...). The deals are interesting but they send 2000 emails per day, really annoying.
But this is just my opinion!
I shopped at Ideel for years and now they are just a pile of Groupon trash. Judging from other reviews, I'm happy I didn't have any credit from Ideel when the switch was made. I wouldn't have even needed store credit back since I wouldn't be able to find anything worth buying on Groupon anyway. I've moved to Hautelook and Gilt, but it's just not the same.
I made a purchase in March for my best friends bday. I didn't know until after the purchase that it would be sent out by April 13-17... So it said! Those dates came and no package so I emailed about it. Then I chatted so I cancelled it by chatting with someone online so I thought! The next day money was taken out of my account! I called and had to leave a message on an answering machine! No return call! A couple of days later the package was sent. Once again j called the number and was quite pissed! A lady called and left a message saying she check records and I had only contacted twice! Lies! I was at work btw and she called back again leaving a message saying they were processing the refund just to send the package back one I got it! Well that's was Late April! It's may 9 and I still have no damn refund! Or incentives! Stay away! A complete scam and thanks for ruining my best friends gift!

The selection is vast and I can save nearly 50% on most places. Its good to try out places you haven't visited before.
Be careful about the fine print though. Most places wont honor a groupon if its on a weekend.
I ordered 3 sets of sheets. Had to pay 3 sets of shipping. 2 sets of sheets arrived in one bag. 1 set of sheets NEVER arrived and was supposedly put in the original bag (could not have fit). I reached out to Groupon and they supposedly forwarded to the merchant. I waited and didn't hear anything. I reached out to Groupon again and they forwarded again. Same thing. The next time Groupon said they had escalated and to wait 24 hours. Nothing from the merchant. I reached out to Groupon yet again and was told it was escalated again. When I pressed the representative, I was told that it was escalated with the highest priority. Groupon will not provide the merchant's contact information for me to reach out directly. The last thing that I was told was that this would be forwarded to the Goods Marketplace team. I would like my sheets or my money back, but all I have received are $5 Groupon Bucks. Completely dissatisfied and an epic waste of time and money.
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.

They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders.
