I bought a groupon for dinner for 2. When I went print it out it said I had already used it. This wouldn't have been a big deal but I planned on using it that night for my boyfriends birthday. I emailed them since their office was closed, it took them over a week to get back to me, I asked if they were gonna refund my money since I never used the groupon and I have still heard nothing. They never refunded my money or got back to me. I will never use this service ever again.
We tried to order at the site twice and they arrived on time and the product arrived at the date they stated in the site, i'm pleased.
I just placed another order again. And their customer service was responsive and accommodating.

I bought 2 tickets to a concert thru Groupon. When I arrived a month later to the concert venue I found that the concert had been cancelled. With Groupon as the middle man I was never informed. So my time, gas, and parking fees were gone. I contacted Groupon to get my tickets refunded and was told there would be no refund but my tickets would be valid for the rescheduled concert. The band's website shows no rescheduled concert for at least the next year. Probably ever. Don't get scammed like I did.
I bought a jetski deal in Florida with a friend of mine because it was something to do. I broke my foot 3 days after. We both emailed them on the same day and she got her refund but I haven't received mine. Even though we both bought the deal the same day and sent an email to cancel it the same day. Told them I broke my foot and therfore can't use the Jetski Groupon but they still won't give me a refund even though I emailed them just one day after the refund window closed. The same day my friend asked for a refund! So no, save your money shoppers and go somewhere else where there might be more sympathy and better customer service.
I purchased tickets through Groupon and paid for a certain section for a concert. When the transaction was complete and paid for they gave me tickets in the cheapest seats available. Tickets that cost much much less than the ones I paid for. DO NOT BUY tickets through Groupon. I complained to Groupon who sent me to vivid seats (from which the tickets came from I thought) who are in India. They sent me other sites, chat lines, phone numbers that no one answers. They totally ripped me off!
The merchandise they sell is not what you get, they are poorly made with cheap materials. They entice you with the retail regular price and of course you think it is quality merchandise. NOT! You can get that same merchandise in the dollar store. Save your money, it's not worth it!
Every time I purchase a deal on this website there is a glitch! Once I purchased a deal on a snapfish book and that fell through earlier than what was on the notice, then I purchased a deal on a party and the coupon code didn't work, and when I told them the issue, they were like, oh, we don't allow you to use the code until the deal is closed or something along those lines and then... when I was like huh? Why can't I print out tickets after purchasing them, they were like, oh we don't know, we have to check and resolve this issue. Its happened every single time! This is the last time I use this unreliable website!
Purchased a product by mistake. Never received confirmation they were shipping.
Called, they tell me to call FedEx. FedEx says the address is in a different city. 2nd email to groupon AGAIN to call FedEx, after I tell them it was delivered to an address in a different city. Takes 24-48 hrs to get an email response.
Make sure you really need the product and not returning it. Think customer service email responders are in a different country or people who are non English speaking.
Have purchased Waterproof Stackable Cube Wardrobe and DIY 3D Casting Kits for Baby's Hands and Feet with Frame. Both are china products and didn't look like what was in the picture in the post. Couldn't use them at all. I felt cheated. They are misleading their customers. Will never buy any product from groupon again.
Bought a Groupon for guitar lessons for my fiance. Instructions were to contact the vendor (guitar teacher) to set up the lessons. After 7 attempts to contact the vendor and zero returned calls, I called Groupon. They said they would contact the vendor and have him get in touch with me within 3 days. Three days later after not hearing from either Groupon or the vendor, I called Groupon back. They said they will contact the vendor "again" and I would hear something in two days. Two days later, you guessed it. Nothing. I called Groupon again. I asked for a refund, since the vendor is unreachable both my me and by the vendor. Nope. "We don't give refunds" is the answer. This is my absolute last Groupon. Luckily my credit card company saw the value of my business (unlike Groupon) and refunded it from my credit card.
I purchased a Sams club Groupon Bach in January or February. Sams refused to take it in store and everyone I talked to just kept passing the buck. Then came Groupon customer service or lack of. Since then it has expired and they still keep telling me to contact Sams! Sams says it's Groupon problem, there the one that sold it to me and of course Groupon says they have a no refund policy. Well I have a no return to Groupon policy! You should too!
Made a purchase for tickets to an event. Went to the ticket counter to exchange the coupons provided by Groupon but was denied. There were at least another dozen people there with the same situation. The lady at the ticket counter said she had had a constant flow of people attempting the same thing. Was advised that the tickets will not be available until the next day. I drove over 20 miles and spent more than an hour. DEFINATELY NOT WORTH THE SAVINGS offered. Why would they provide the coupons before they have made arrangements with the ticket office? Not very customer considerate!
I submitted two orders towards the beginning of December. Usually when I do this one gets to me before the other, so I wanted to see if I could get lucky and get one of them to me before the 7-10 days. It's been 3 weeks and neither of my orders have even been processed. They each have a tracking number, but there aren't even any packages to go with them. Seriously the worst experience I've had with an online retailer.
We purchased 4 ticket vouchers for Blue Man Group in Boston for my son's 13th birthday. He got a stomach bug and so we couldn't go. We desperately tried to change the dates through both groupon and Ticketmaster. Groupon said Ticketmaster would have to handle the exchange since they were already paid by groupon when the order was processed and ticketmaster said Groupon was the only one who could handle the exchange. There was no resolution and we lost $228 and my son did not get his Birthday present. I spent 1 1/2 hours on the phone back and forth between the two organizations. I do not recommend using groupon for any events! It is obvious that both organizations are thriving on the mis fortune of their patrons.
Get this! This is the outcome of my issue. To recap:- Item is not received after 3 weeks. Groupon Singapore advised not to cancel that its a good deal and I'll receive in 5 days. On the 4th day, they cancel the order without telling me. When I email them, they said they have refunded me and there is no refund in my Paypal. So I've emailed them asking for my money and opened a PayPal dispute.
Their reply - they will refund me in GROUPON credits to be used within 23 months and they are sure that I'll enjoy using them in Groupon.
How is this fair? So they didnt send me my item, took my money, now giving me no option but to only use it in Groupon and the worst thing give me a time limit for the use. So after 12 months, if I don't use it, the money is theirs! How many ppl are they scamming with this crap! Who makes up these policies?
I ordered 2 Serta mattress sets which was over $1200. I read on their site that delivery would be in process about 2 days after ordering. I contacted customer service and told them that I was moving on the 2nd of May and that I need to change my delivery address. They told me no and that the mattresses would just be returned and I would eventually get a refund. I sent 3 more emails asking why and got the same response. I called 3 times after delivery company said that my shipment was due to be delivered on the 5th, but that they needed to verify with Groupon my new address. Groupon refused to talk to delivery company and customer service rep would not let me talk to a supervisor. He said that he was on a call and did not know when he would be available. He even got rude and just repeated the same answer about returning the mattresses if they could not be delivered. I contacted the delivery company and have to go to Baltimore to pick them up myself! I will never order from them again.
I have had very good results with Groupon in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. All of the coupons I have used have been honored without any issues. I have purchased over a dozen coupons in the last year. My biggest complaint is that many of the coupons are too far away for me to want to use them.
I purchased a luggage set using a coupon, left the country on a 3 week trip, and when i returned the item was not here. Called Groupon and they said Paypal never authorized the payment. Called Paypal and they said Groupon cancelled the order. I called Groupon again and spoke with someone different and he told me their "system" cancelled the order. He could not give me a reason why. I was never sent an email telling me it was cancelled and for what reason. I told the gentleman i was never ordering anything else from them and would write a bad review... Who's running this company? BUYER BEWARE!
We paid for a oil change coupon. Just go get to the place for them to say Groupon never processed the coupon. Called Groupon they said system was down it's out their hands. So instead of paying $50.00 for the oil change it was $108.00. These people are a SCAMMMMMMM! Don't trust them AT ALL! These companies pay them for advertising and to scam people to come to their establishments.

Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.

I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!

They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
