I have used Groupon goods for many years. I attempted to purchase a computer from the site and it told me the the purchase was pending. I emailed customer service 5 days after I placed the order and was told their system was taking longer than expected. 5 days after that still nothing so I emailed again. This time they let me know there was a problem processing the order and they were unable to honor it because the deal ended. No credit to my account no sorry about the troubles or suggestion for another similar product. All that was said was "you should contact support sooner".
I don't usually leave review comments online but I strongly felt that I need to share my horrible experience with groupon service.
I purchased a hotel deal groupon yesterday ($1500 deal) using my Visa. But after 20 minutes, I decided to use my mastercard instead so cancelled the original deal and purchased another one.
Today, I checked my credit statement and the cancelled deal was refunded but missing 85 dollars! I thought it was a mistake and called groupon to figure out. After experiencing two hung up calls by call center for some reason and wasting almost 1 hour, I was finally able to talk to a Supervisor. Apparently from groupon's perspective, they refunded the whole amount in USD and whatever amount is missing is due to exchange difference because I paid in CAD. I was shocked to hear this because when you purchase the hotel deal in groupon, they say it very proudly that they will return the full amount as long as it is cancelled before the deadline (approx 10 days). Nowhere it says the transaction fees or currency difference is not going to get refunded to the customer. I further looked into the Term of Sale, Return policy and FAQ and the only thing I found was just a simple statement saying that deals will be charged in USD.
Only if Groupon made a simple disclosure about the fact that customers won't be refunded for the currency difference in the case of cancellation, I wouldn't have cancelled my original transaction and get charged for $85 for no reason.
After 1.5 hours wasted on the phone with Groupon's call center, I got $20 of groupon credits to be used within next 6 months. Apparently, it is impossible for Groupon to fully compensate other than just giving $20 credit. As this is my only third time using groupon deals, I wonder how usefully I can use that $20 credit.
The experience with Groupon has just ruined my day and vacation now.
The old site was quasi-high end and I was addicted. It's trash now... Why change something that worked so well?
Be prepared to wait a long time for a refund if you need to return an item. Within minutes of an email confirmation I tried to cancel an order and I was told that u would have to wait to get the item and then return it to get my money back, which I was told could take up to 3-4 weeks! Very poor Customer Service. Unable to reach anyone by phone to discuss. I would not/ will not recommend Groupon to anyone
I was really pleased with ideeli/ideel over the years. Great products and excellent customer service. Since groupon has taken it over it has essentially died. They don't have the same type of products anymore and the website is a nightmare.
I signed up for a yoga groupon and could not get ahold of the yoga studio to go. I called, emailed and even went to the address on their website but it turned out the address was a frame store! I emailed Groupon customer service who said they would "reach out" but we never got a reply from the studio. I asked for a refund but it only came in "groupon bucks" which are useless to me now since I already signed up for another yoga studio. Groupon doesn't appear to validate the legitimacy of their locations so be careful cause you won't be able to get a refund.
Buying Groupon as a gift for your friends and family is pointless. First of all they won't be able to return your gift and you'll end up having useless groupon bucks in your account and your friend who actually received the gift will have nothing.
Per their customer service, this is normal bc that's all they can say and still live in 1980s. If you ask me it's an ancient system that needs to be updated...
I have receiving emails for years and don't use them I tried to unsubscribe but groupon told me my email was not recognized. Funny I just deleted about 10 emails. I called and the customer service agent was unable to help. I asked to speak to her supervisor and she said she couldn't give me a name which I know she legally has to do. I told her that and she put me on hold then groupon hung up on me. I will keep trying but this is lousy. How can I be receiving emails but be unrecognized?
I will admit they have great products however if you don't keep tract of your orders you'll never get them. Several times I've had to ask about my orders because they are just hanging out there waiting for someone to ship my items. Waiting 3 weeks for my orders us ridicules. But of course when they just sit in limbo awaiting shipment it's very possible
I bought tickets through Groupon for the Slipknot concert in Las Vegas on June 17th. The concert was cancelled. Groupon has refused to refund my money, even though that's their promise. I have five different responses: redeem at another location, give them away, and fabulous Groupon Bucks! In over 30 years of going to concerts, I have never had such an awful customer service experience.
I am not a picky fellow by any means. I am patient. I ordered a pyle hd smart projector. Thought it would be fun or a dream come true to watch movies on a big screen. Little did I know that it would be a nightmare. Groupon has the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. I've worked for all kinds of companies big and small and groupon is worse then any phone service provider and that says a lot. I ordered it on may 18. No answer. Limbo. I wait. Everytime I would message it was someone else answering who didn't even remotely know the situation. June 6th no action taken I message again. One of their employees rakes it upon themselves to cancel my order and refund me. I never was asked or approved this... told me to wait 10 days for refund... 10 additional days on top of the 20? To not get what I ordered? I then called support. Which sounded like some guy in his living room with his family. Explained situation he would put me on hold without telling me I was on hold which left me to repeat and repeat not to mention his English was awful. Groupon shame on you
I often use Groupon to purchase movie tickets. I have also used it a few times to purchase products and event tickets. It is a fun venture perusing Groupon. So much to offer.
Ideel used to be one of my favorite online shopping websites before it was consolidated within the Groupon branch. I wanted to keep open minded, but have found the merchandisers are no longer designer brands. I wish Groupon would work with the companies used to partner with the prior Ideel company and brings back the designer products Consumers desire. I would give 4 stars to the previous Ideel, but only 1 star to the current Ideel site after it was consolidated into the Groupon branch. Recently I have found another online designer shop site - "Rue La La" that is somewhat comparable with the previous Ideel site, although I still prefer the pre-Gropon-Ideel better than "Rue La La".

After two weeks, over 30 emails of empty promises, seven phone calls that left me with more doubt, one that said I would get my voucher number a day after the registration was needed, and paying for the same service three times I ended up having to pay for the service through the vendor its self with out a groupon discount or help.

Low price means that the quality is not high. When I purchase something by using Groupon, the service providers always want you to buy directly. Because Groupon will charge some fees from them.So... this will bother you and even the quality is lower.
Purchased a kayak trip for KayakMarco 138.00. Couldn't use it company has to be emailed everything. I requested three dates of course they got back to me after the dates stating not available lol. Groupon could have cared less. Will never use them again. Nor will I ever book through KayakMarco tours
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.

Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!

I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.

They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders.
