I have bought quite a few groupon coupons so far, more in the beginning when they first started than recently, because there is just so much more competition and I actually find more useful and relevant deals nowadays on other sites like livingsocial and kbgdeals. That said, once in while there are still great deals that let's me try out different things that I would not have like Online language courses, Ballet tickets and retail stores. I have not had a problem so far and when there were any 'scams' that occured, Groupon has been swift to refund my money. I would definitely continue buying from them unless something dramatic happens. I think it is a great site!
I purchased a ticket for an event that has been canceled amidst the COVID-19 social gathering restrictions that has affected us all. Groupon acknowledges that they rather keep your money during this time of need rather than return or credit your purchase in these current circumstances that is affecting the world. What a stand up way to show support to humanity. Your greed is real and my loyalty as a customer will remember this always.
Signed up not long ago, when refered by my daughter. Just used it for the first time. It's great! I have future vacation locations added so I can get deals to use later!
It's fun to see what is offered each day, although it may not be anything I want, but every so often I get a great deal.
Also, I had a little trouble and they got back to me quickly with an answer! Worth a look.
I had a terrible experience, Groupon sold a course that wasn't accredited as it was advertised, eventually after threatening legal action I got a refund 5 weeks later! And now I've been trying to get my account and personal information deleted but they keep ignoring my emails. Steer clear from Groupon...
I purchased a 1 hour massage as a gift for my daughter. When she tried to redeem the coupon at Massage addiction in Meridian Idaho, noone will answer the phone and they never return calls. When I tried to resolve the issue with Groupon, all I got was a run around, the issue was never resolved. I have closed my account with Groupon and would advise to stay away as I don't believe that the company can be trusted.
I wish my Girlfriend would stop buying deals from GroupOn! Arrggggg. We have had 4 'deals' in a row of utter disappointment, T&Cs that screw you, good sounding deals that deliver much much less than advertised, people simply not turning up to deliver the service. I can't wait for this whole idea to just disappear.
Ideel makes you pay for your returns unless you do store credit, which is a way to rook you into buying more. In the days of internet shopping, paying to return items that don't fit is ABSURD. The company is owned by Groupon, and groupon has it together so why don't they get on the same system.
Clothes often feel cheaper than designer clothes--not sure why.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend it unless you know your size very well.
Beware when you purchase the multiple Duracell batteries deal, most if not all of the AAA batteries were DOA, you'll need to check them all within 14 days to get a refund... who does that? Same with nomorerack, dead. Save your money.
I bought a Groupon, for 6 sessions but only got 1. Why? Because Neo Aesthetics cancelled my appointment because they can't maintain staffing, couldn't accommodate my schedule, are rude and unprofessional. I left several messages for the owner and no one has bothered to call me back. On top of everything Groupon refuses to refund my money claiming that the Groupon was "redeemed" even though I paid for 6 sessions and only got 1! Now I'm forced to have my credit card company fight it out with Groupon to get my money back. I say, don't waste your money or time, you end up paying more in the long run.
Some of the items promoted aren't entirely top quality and occasionally, advertised locations go out of business. When notified of a problem, Groupon does respond in a timely manner, although they sometimes expect you to resolve the issue with the vendor rather than work on it themselves.
Once upon a time Groupon was great! Products were good quality and delivery was quick! NOT anymore! I have been using groupon for 4 years. The quality of the products offered are pictured as top quality, but when products arrive I question if I received the right items. Delivery is a joke! They state shipping in 2 days from date of purchase. I am currently waiting for an item ordered on the 18th, with guaranteed shipping in 2 days. Took 11 days before the item shipped! I have contacted Groupon customer support several times without receiving an answer other than a tracking number, which when checked just states usps had received notice to expect the package.

I ordered 2 pairs of 9.99 shoes that they said were regular price 69.99. Believe me they are worth less that what I paid. Horrible shoes. Cheap. Will never order from ideal.com again. My first and last purchase. Did not bother returning them. Sent both pairs to goodwill. Unbelievable cheap shoes. I can't give less than 1 star because I would give no stars at all. Do not get sucked into what there regular prices says they are because really those aren't the regular prices. Just a markup to make their 9.99 shoes look good. Terrible shoes. They are the pink and red ones that look like Valentino flat shoes. Do not get. You will be terribly upset with the product.
They offered a deal on refurbished cell phones with free service from FreedomPop. It's been weeks and the order has not been fulfiled yet. The best answer I can get from their service department is:
"
I'm so sorry for the trouble. Unfortunately, your order has been delayed and we don't currently have any updates on the expected delivery of your product. We are still working with the business to resolve these issues, but at this point we're unable to provide a time frame for the arrival of your shipment.
"
I bought this as a gift for my teenage son. Why do these companies play with other people's money?
Groupon can be great for finding a new hair stylist or other service provider, but when you have difficulties with a service provider, Groupon is a pain in the arse. The following has happened more than once, so that now I am "gun shy" about "pulling the trigger" at Groupon. When you call a service provider several times and don't get a response, Groupon will then steal much more of your valuable time (not to mention your patience). They will pull stunts like give you a credit in "Groupon bucks" -- until you finally just complain to your credit card company. The time you waste is not worth it IMO. I bristle just thinking about dealing with their 3rd world moronic "customer service" reps.
I attempted to use my groupon bucks before the expiration date but the system inexplicably rejected my purchases repeatedly... customer service couldnt help and service escalation took days to try to resolve the problem. I asked for a guarantee that my Groupon bucks not expire while resolving the problem - best they could give was well try. Groupon bucks were not only eliminated from my account but they were taken before the expiration date. This company is unreliable and dishonest.
Ordered mystery buy one get one free glitter slip ons very cheaply made and sized I am a true 10 ordered 11 to be on safe side could not get foot in shoe and bottom of shoe came off need better quality control your name is on this product for the most part items I've ordered have been ok but this one was definitely a zonk!
Like other people on here I miss ideeli.com! I have saved lots of money but I did ALL of my shopping on idelli. The beautiful shoes and dresses oh my. Now as summer approaches I have no where to buy one of a kind, individual style items! Everything in malls and specialty stores are generic and cookie cutter. This by far was a poor decision. At least for me and obviously others
These 3 guys and their older manager dance to all types of music change costumes no stripping located on Pine St downtown Dayton Oregon District. Old building freezing on the inside pretty run down. Drinks are high priced I ordered wine and was served a half of a glass at a time 4 oz glass with 2ozs of wine for $5.00 a glass. The dancers seem to be bisexual and 1 of them have very bad acne. Don't buy 50 shades of men and Groupon doesn't and won't refund the money for the voucher.
I have ordered from Ideeli numerous times, and after reading the complaints here cannot imagine that we are talking about the same website. This site has been a pleasure to order from: Ordering is easy, I find many things I like (at good prices), and they are very clear about whether something can or can not be returned (and all relevant policies) at the point of sale. The *one* time I had to return something beyond their 14-day limit, I believe I'd recleived the package while we were out of state on vacation for two weeks. I explained the situation, and that I did not like the purchase, and got a response authorizing a return. I was pleasantly surprised that they made this exception when they clearly did not have to. Also, I enjoy getting the free VIP shipping that they reward frequent buyers with. Having to accept credit on returns is no problem, as I know I will be buying from them again and again.
I've read some pretty awful reviews of Groupon, but my own experiences have always been really good. All vouchers I've bought have been from good companies and my partner and I have taken some pretty awesome trips for hardly any money (like a private executive chalet on an oceanfront resort, with fully equipped kitchen, fireplace, jacuzzi, hot tub, private deck, etc. for just over $60 a night). We've done a range of great activities thanks to Groupon, and any problems I've ever had have been solved by the customer service agents promptly, professionally, and respectfully. I've also been given unexpected refunds for experiences that have been less than good; I just wanted to let them know not to book with that company again and they went ahead and refunded my money. I don't dispute that people may have had bad experiences with Groupon, but I will say I'm definitely not one of them.
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?
Answer: Groupon usually sends a tracking # via email If not do as the other people suggested, check My Groupons
Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.
Answer: I personally do not trust groupon. The question previous to yours printed on this site should answer your question as to its reliaiblity
Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
Groupon has a rating of 1.6 stars from 5,286 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Groupon most frequently mention customer service, credit card and fine print. Groupon ranks 250th among Daily Deals sites.
