Ideel is horrible after moving to Chicago Groupon, sod you all! Fraudulent, incomplete, ignorant: this is not service this is cheating on our loyalty! Complained 100 times with no proper answer not to say service.
Groupon is a joke! You will be wasting your money with this company! Their customer service reps are a joke too! You will be misinformed and they will not do anything to help you! It took me 3 weeks to get an item that I ordered even though it said 2 business days to ship! I was assured I would get a return label since the item wouldn't make it on time and when I contacted groupon back there was nothing they could do since the item wasn't damaged. Seriously! I will never order anything from this company again! Spend your money elsewhere! This place doesn't deserve it!
I had a horrible experience with Groupon and never got two of my order. Customer service reps were very unhelpful, rude, and even lied to me by telling me I was still going to get my packages and I needed to be more patient. I never got the packages. I will never shop with Groupon ever again.
In reading many posts I must state I recently made a purchase on 11/17/2014. I was concerned because so many had unfortunate encounters with the company. Well, I will say this, NO PROBLEMS. All the merchandise was fine and shipped on time. Thank you Ideel.
Bob understands that if you use a coupon to attract a customer, you will have to use them to keep them. And this strategy kills real long-term value for the business and eventually the customer as well. If you are a business owner and thinking of using Groupon or another Groupon clone, you owe it to yourself and your business to read Bob's e-book first. I guarantee you this will be the best money you ever invested in helping you better understand how not to market your business.
If I could give a worse rating than crappy( spelled $#*!ty! #%&@*#) I would. It doesn't let you know how to complete your order. I got the message that there was issues, but I could not go to that part of the site. It charged my card. Never got the tickets I ordered. Still have to pay for the tickets I never got. Never going to use groupon ever again.
Paid and pruchased in full, however they sent me a dead Link and the customer service couldnt help a bit. I hate this company now. My girlfriend went to all the trouble of sending me a suprise while she was abroad and it turned into a huge debacle of struggling with the slowest customer service employees in the world.
I wanted to buy a microwave oven, couldn't find any on their site. This is such a common item, they should have it.
Then, I asked customer service a few simple and general questions. Instead of replying to my question, they kept asking me to tell them what specific deals and what my groupon gift card number is.
After 4 follow-up emails, someone finally answered my questions. But then I had follow-up question which nobody bother to reply to. Basically, I am at square one. I will never buy a gruopon gift card again - for not having the items I want and for the lack of competent customer support.
Based on this websites review, Groupon got a lot of 5-star reviews. However, if you look at the details, none of the categories have more than a two star. So how they add up to the 5-star reviews is a mystery to me.
A friend and I take turns buying escape room Groupons. She saw one today and suggested I purchase it as there was an additional promo code for $20 off. When I went to purchase I could not use the promo code as I could only use a $10 one. When I called to question this policy, I was met with a very rude supervisor who assured me that they do not value certain costumes over others, even though my friend who uses the site more often is offered higher value promotional codes! The supervisor refused to do anything about the situation. I will never use a company with such terrible customer service.
Well, I thought, it is good deal for one of the merchants at Groupon since it was 50% off. But I bought and used it. I realized that merchants who is not doing well or lousy service gives this deals on Groupon. I would never buy anything unless, I know the merchant or I have used the service that is advertised in Groupon. I would not call it as scam. It is just marketing that you do not want to fall for...
I'm a sucker for a deal and I'm having a problem turning down these deals. I long for my groupon incoming emails. I have a psychological problem letting what I perceive as a good deal get away.
Jean Chatzky on the Today Show suggested you ask yourself "Would I buy this if it was full price. " I wish I was armed with that advice when I purchased a gym membership at 67% off. I went once (that's a future review) and never went back.
But on the other hand I'm haunted with regret in passing up a newspaper subscription in my struggle with this groupon addiction.
People with limited self control and or will power be warned. Groupon can become addictive but gosh aint it fun!
I just purchased tickets for a concert that Groupon was advertising as a "deal." Come to find out I just paid 2x times for each ticket on Groupon. The venue is selling the tickets for $50 less for each ticket. This was a total scam and they told me all sales are final.
Don't buy from this company because they don't resolve your customer care issues. I purchased three Microsoft office programmes and had issues with two of the license keys. I contacted Microsoft and they informed me they were not legitimate keys. This is unresolved with groupon.
Their site is always down if you need help. Avoid. I have been trying to get to use an expired Groupon. Since they state that you can still use the value however when you try to use it or get somebody to help you they want a PDF file. When you try to access the PDF file of your expired coupon the site will say it's temporarily down. Really
There is a fraudulent charge on my account. I contacted Groupon the moment it happened. They still let the charge clear my bank, I cannot speak to a live person, it's been over a week and I still cannot receive my money back. Be careful!
The site is awesome! I have purchased at least 50 Groupons for a variety of items. Every one resulted in big savings and the product quality of participants has been awesome! I have recommended them to all of my friends.
Not a fan whatsoever. They aren't going to make it. I've had a few good deals. Mostly on cheap food places. I have discovered their hotel deals are horrible. Asked for a refund today on one and I got the "we don't give refunds unless there is an irreconcilable issue". My fault. I didn't read the reviews of the hotel up front. Since I purchased I have. And I would rather spend my $90 elsewhere. Haven't stayed. Haven't exercised by groupon. Just simply want a refund.
Furthermore, I don't get why a business would want to put deals on here. Especially food, Nordstroms... and many others. They are great deals for the consumer and horrible deals for the businesses. I bet we never see the likes of a nordstrom on here again. I actually made money off that groupon. Bought stuff, didn't fit, returned it and then Nordstrom didn't know their what to do when you returned a Groupon.
I bought a $10 Dunkin Donuts gift card for $5 and indicated it was a gift and I wanted the actual card. A few days later I get a confirmation of my order with a link to print my $10 credit! I again contacted them to advise that this was a gift and I needed the plastic card. They promised to respond within 2 days. It's been 4 days and I still have heard nothing.
I bought a Groupon for a scape room and by mistake I bought the wrong location, Groupon didn't allowed me to switch locations and didn't answer who will keep the money if I won't use the Groupon, they said it was final sale. The location said they didn't have the money it was Groupon. I guess I will erase my account.
Very extremely disappointed by Groupon. We paid > $300 for 4 tickets to a Murder Mystery dinner show that didnt exist! They accepted our payment, and took our reservations! We showed up with our friends for a special evening. We were told by the doorman, oh, that dinner theater went out of business and hasnt played at this site for over two months! They took our money and reservations knowing there was no show! Do not believe anything Groupon says! Do not patronize Groupon. It is a fraud.
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.

Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?

Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.

Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
