I thought i was on the hotel site when I made the reservation. They charged outrageous fees that weren't revealed until after I entered my card information. Never again!
I was in a rush and thought I was on the hotel website with their service charge I paid an extra $20 than if I would have booked directly on the hotel website
Hello,
I find the additional £32.27 you have charged to my credit card to be the height of sharp practice. At the time of booking, the price clearly quoted was £57. I even called the Holiday Inn Express in Stansted to see if they could match the price. They could not, as their price was £63. I then booked the hotel on a clear understanding that you were charging me £57. I would like you to refund to my credit card the additional £32.27 that was not evident online at the time of booking.
Please expedite my refund request forthwith. If I do not hear from you within 72 hours, I will take further steps to ensure the return of the money you have unlawfully deducted from my credit card.
I attach a picture of your duplicitous advertising, showing the £57 Rate
Thank you
Wendy Lewis

The staff was very polite and helpfull specially on the front desk.it was a nice stay neat and clean surroundings.
Don't stay here! Tested positive for Covid and they wouldn't refund our room. Very very dangerous for your health.
Hi Rob, your satisfaction as a customer is of utmost importance to us, and we are committed to resolving the issue. Please contact our customer support team at customercare@guestreservations.com to help resolve your concern. Thank you.
This is the only online boking site which charges 50% taxes and fees on your booking! And it doesnt say so until you actually book the room. This is very illegal, and completely crazy, they charge you double for the room services which is already included in the room price. They will not admit to this FRAUD! Why should they, as long as they can get away with it and they surely are! DONT BOOK ON GUEST RESERVATIONS

Guest Reservations Customer Care
My room would have been close to 30 dollars cheaper booking with the hotel itself due to guest reservation com tax recovery charges which are bull.
They charge significantly more than the hotel website with hidden resort fees and taxes that add up to the cost of an additional night's stay.
Hi Robin, we are sorry you had this experience. Just like when you book through a hotel directly, Guest Reservations must charge its customers for all applicable taxes, including any hotel taxes. Additionally, by charging a service fee for all of its reservations, we are able to offer 24/7 customer support and operate as an independent travel network. Guest Reservations conspicuously discloses all fees and taxes on its checkout summary webpage, asking customers to check a box acknowledging these before they enter their payment information. Despite our transparency, we remain concerned about your experience. Please provide us your reservation # and the email address used at purchase and we will respond with the next steps. Thank you.
Shocking site amends dates n has awful cancellation policy. Takes your money n then doesn't want to know …. Don't use!
Went to the website thinking it was the hotel site and it wasn't. Didn't have the opportunity to see the full charges before hitting the confirm button. Once you hit it you get the full bill. There's huge fees added that nowhere in the booking process is explained. Could have gotten it a lot cheaper on the actual hotel site. Steer clear of this website. They will not allow you to cancel after you figure out you have been scammed either. Horrible! I would give zero stars if I could.
Does no good to call. They will tell you you can't cancel per the hotel policy. I talked to the hotel and they told me I could still cancel and if guestreservations.com told me I couldn't they were lying. I told the person that when I called them and then she said I could cancel but I won't get my money back. What good does that do? This place is a bunch of scammers. Please pay attention when you reserve a hotel and don't let them scam you. Call the hotel directly. It's too easy these days for other companies to spoof websites and make you believe they are the real deal.
Hi Joyce, Guest ReservationsTM is an independent travel network, offering reservations and exclusive deals for more than 100,000 hotels throughout the world. We understand that you were surprised to learn that Guest Reservations is not affiliated with the hotel where you made your reservation. We are sorry to learn of this misunderstanding. Guest Reservations tries to be as transparent as possible in disclosing that it is an independent travel network, which is not affiliated with any hotel. We would like to contact you directly to help with your concerns. To keep your information secure, please send us a message with your reservation # and email address used at purchase and we will respond with next steps. Thank you.
The cancelation policy ends one day before the booking, so good luck modifying or canceling your booking even 1 second after the reservation.
We’re sorry you had that experience. Customer satisfaction is our priority, and we would like to help. To keep your information secure, please DM us your reservation # and we will respond with the next steps. Thank you.
Horrible customer service. No Cancellation policy was put into effect the day BEFORE I made the reservation! Tried to cancel and change the city within 10 minutes of securing it. UNBELIEVABLE
Absolutely a scam. They have bought domain names with the names of various hotels. For example, I wanted to book with the Holiday Inn Tewksbury. I clicked on "https://holidayinntewksbury.guestreservation.com" which LOOKs like the hotel's sight. (See how well "guestreservations" goes with the hotel name?) That's how they get you. Having thought I was dealing directly with the hotel, I forgot to pay attention. The reservation process seems normal except they indicate that you can only get the quoted rate if you pay in advance. They also put up a timer saying the rate will expire in 10 minutes (should have been a clue) Off to the side where you won't notice they put the actual charges in small font. At the bottom they put "Tax Recovery Charges and Service Fees" In my case an incredible $275. I went back and checked the booking on Expedia. Same rate and the taxes were $85. So they just blithely charge an extra $200 in a place where you won't notice. The confirmation e-mail puts the charge much more prominently, so I noticed immediately. I called to get the charge refunded. Their phone system does not offer a way to get to a person. In desperation I tried hitting "0". That got me an operator. They gave me the run around for 10 minutes and then said they could refund the charges. However the policy required I pay for one night plus taxes and service fees for... you guessed it... $200. Not a damn thing I can do about it. So basically they fool you into giving them $200 and laugh all the way to the bank. Completely legitimate and at the same time a completely unscrupulous scam.

Absolutely a scam, stay away! Charges you 40% service fee! Customer service line took 1 Hour, then they hung up on me. Pure fraud!

Refuses to refund even 5 MINUTES after reservation. Charged well over $200 extra to book through them vs. direct. Immoral, heartless thieves.

Fast, but you forgot to mention that there were $74 in "resort fees" added onto the advertised room rate. I found out when I got the receipt. Not helpful! Then there was an another additional $50 taken out of my bank account without any explanation.
I will NOT be using your services again.
I had reservation changes and there was no help provided and with everything going on in the world today how could you not consider to help a customer with an unexpected change. I will never book through this third party again.
Where are our rights? It advertised 195 euro for a room and charged me 295! And they don't refund! DO NOT USE THIS SITE. I'm going to write Sofitel Heathrow a bad review because they use this site.

Answer: They did the same to me. The reason is because they are stealing from you and hope you don't notice or don't care
Answer: I feel your pain. What's sad is that this company is an affiliate of Expedia
Answer: Literally the same. Hope you get reimbursed! Good luck!
