I am surprised by the amount of negative review. I've always received fresh veggies and meats. I work from home so my boxes don't have a chance to be in the elements for an extended period of time - that said you can schedule what day your delivery comes and plan accordingly. Anyhow, after my discount first box I knew I'd be charged for subsequent boxes unless I paused a week or I called to cancel the service completely. There was quite up front in the information presented to me and I think pretty par for the course as far as ordering on subscription anywhere. I've loved most of my meals, and the ones I didn't like were more just personal preference. I currently have my account on hold now due to my kitchen being gutted for renovations but I'll be back. I've dealt with customer service once and was pleased with their responsiveness and friendly manner.
What a slammers!avoid!saying one thing and do other,don't order from them stilling money.i wasn't able to get recieve a box so the agent canceled the delivery but I still recieved it and had to give it away to my neighbour so as it wasn't my fault I was given a credit of £67.we agreed that I wiudo ve able to use it on my next delivery but instead they've charged me for my next box and changed their mind and get me the credit after using another couple of boxes.so as I stopped the delivery, they started to threatening me to send my account to debt collectors
I used to love this service. They came every Monday, the meals were nutritious and filling, my whole family loved to eat them. I don't know what has gone wrong over the last 6 months. Instead of a full chicken breast you now get a smaller "cutlet" for the same price. Every meal used to have great fresh herbs- now they are often too old to use or replaced with dried ones. The worst is the quality and quantity of the vegetables- sometimes too nasty to use, often less than what I am supposed to get if I measure with my food scale. Top this off with deliveries that are coming 12-36 hours late... I think I'll just go back to the grocery store.

I'm not sure how they can say "fresh and healthy" when the sauces are ladden with corn syrup, sugar and soy, the ground meat is high in fat, a lot of the side ingredients are not the best/highest quality. I ordered 2 - four serving dishes and made them all together (so 8 servings) and barely had a cup leftover after 2 adults and 3 children (7,8 & 10) ate. The pork tacos had me burping and suffering from heartburn the next 12 hrs., I'm guessing from the soy or corn syrup as I don't buy/serve either to my family. Gross & not worth it.

I have had 17 boxes delivered to a family member attending law school, very few problems, on time. Suddenly week 18 and 19 the payment not going through. I called three times, verified with bank funds available, at Hello Fresh's insistence. Hello Fresh flips me off saying it's on my end. Asked for a supervisor to correct situation, supervisor refuses to speak with me. Customer Service reps have no information to give out and no one able to resolve issue. Very dissatisfied with company at this point.

I'd like to draw your attention to the customer service and satisfaction. We received a second box (which was not ordered, so for two days now, have been talking to the bottom of the chain. When you ask for a supervisor the canned response is that it will 24 hrs for a call back. That never happened. Tried again today and same thing. I started digging into the company: fact: The company is being sued for unfit beef products, deceptive wording in advertising and billing. LOOK IT UP

I will admit that I thought every one of HelloFresh's meals I ordered tasted good, and is something I would make again. The pricing is more affordable with discount codes, but those are easy to find so I was happy with the cost. That being said, the shipping needs improvement. The ice keeps everything very cold, but they place the meat loosely in packaging at the bottom, which causes the packaging of it to open up very easily. One of my boxes had this happen, and I will say customer service was more than helpful and ended up sending me a whole new replacement order for free and let me keep both. It makes for a fun date night or an easy meal alternative to eating out, but it does create a lot of waste and I don't think it's sustainable enough to order on a consistent basis. Overall, I would recommend trying it even once!

Hello Fresh is too salty, they entirely miss delivery dates, and they literally double your weekly fee with add on prices for many of their meals.
Their recipes take longer than cooking from scratch because they have so many sauces to make that we normally wouldn't do with home cooked meals. This makes their dishes too salty as it smothers the dish.
We were very disappointed in their bait and switch increased prices as well missing deliveries and a 12 hour delivery window.

If you ever experience an issue that requires reaching out to speak to a representative, just know that while they are requesting that you wait while they reach out to a "specialist" for help the answer is already "no, we have no intention of actually trying to help. We just want you to think we are". They would rather lose customers before resolving an issue. There are some things in business that can't be fixed and some that can. The answer should not always be no. Doing the right thing is just lost on company's like Hello fresh.

I've been using Hello Fresh since 2016. Loved the recipes. There have been minor issues in the past of missing ingredient, which their Customer Service addressed. In the past year, I've had a lost box and had to wait 7 days for my refund of $69. Now, their app shows Thanksgiving package. I looked at it last night and it said, size, delivery date, payment options, choose choice. I put my credit card in and it said next in the bottom. I was thinking I'd get to chose my meal option but no I apparently checked out. Immediate $198 pending from my checking account. I called immediately. The rep said as soon as she cancels the order which she said she did the pending 198 will be cleared up. Not! Next day, I called Hello Fresh and their customer service reps saying they have no record of any pending order. My bank says the "merchant" which is Hello Frsh hasn't released the money. To me this is robbery. I need that money! Shame on them.

Hello Fresh gets your money and you will not get it back even when it is their mistake. Takes forever. Don’t use Hello Fresh if you are depending on using their meals for your food budget. They screw up and you go hungry.

Bought our first box that never showed u. Called customer service just to get an oops sorry about that, we'll give you $10 discount toward your next box. Ordered a second box SAME THING, come now, get your sh**t together. We didn't do grocery shopping for two weeks because you promised our box would arrive on time. Very disappointed.

So I recently decided to check online this HelloFresh, since the advertising been hitting from everywhere, went online, started checking the meals, and somehow i been picked a meal plan by Hello Fresh(with 1st time discounted version meal plan). Noticed that somehow i been signed up for the delivery and decided to cancel the subscription right away because we didn't like the menu at all. Customer service just refused to help with this issue. So in the end I spend an hour on my day off trying to cancel this stupid delivery, with no luck. Thank God is $37 only, and the bank will issue a refund anyway just want to leave this bad experience here.

I received a promotion code of Hello Fresh from Amazon and I used it one time. I ended up by having a weekly subscription which I did not choose myself. I had to call customer service and asked them to cancel whatever was planned and not use my CC details for anything at all. Now, I will wait and see.
Very disappointed that some online services like this one keep people's data and use them without their approval! CRAZY!

Do not purchase a physical gift card for this company if you just want to try it out. The Hello Fresh website states that "gift card purchases are one-off transactions. You will not be setting up a subscription for the sender or the recipient, and no further charges will apply." This is not true. You can not redeem the gift card without a subscription. I called customer service multiple times and got different answers each time. In the end there was no way to do it and then they told me my gift card could not be verified because "too much time had gone by" but there is no expiration date on the gift card.

If you like the taste of bland boring meals with no spice or flavor then you should try out Hello Fresh. Additionally, if you like seeing extra charges on your credit card statement (even though you opted to skip out for three weeks due to being out of town for work), then this is the business for you! Oh might I also add, there was one week where I opted to skip out, was charged the $69.95, and never received any box! Also, cancelled my subscription about THREE times, yet they still kept charging! Only reason why I noticed is because I thankfully have notification alerts from my credit card company whenever a charge has been made. I had to call my credit card company and do a merchant block. Yup, stay the hell away from this business!

We wanted to try HelloFresh. As soon as we got on their website, we were asked for credit card information in order to see meals. No order was placed as we didn't see anything we liked. Five days later we received an email that 2 chicken meals were being delivered. We don't eat meat! We called right away and talked to a HelloFresh representative. She said that there was nothing they could do, and that the computer chooses the meals automatically if customer doesn't do so. Bad business models and poor service. The representative even laughed at the entire situation and said go ahead and try to dispute it with your credit card company.

I live in an hot climate and they deliver this stuff by UPS. Yes, it's packed in ice and packed pretty decently but they don't take into account delivery routes. My UPS guy brings mine at the end of the day meaning the ice had melted. I tried several times and had this happen. Giving 3 stars because the batches that showed up still frozen were really good. They need to find better ways to keep cold for the hotter climates.

Tried HelloFresh for 3 weeks. Each box received had missing or bad ingredients. Support would always tell me they would reach back out, never did. When I called them again got offered credits for next full priced box but after 3 bad experiences cancelled without using. Was advised they would refund but then issues another credit instead for "when I re-activate". Definitely will never be re-activating or using the credit. Overall waste of money, had to go out and buy ingredients in the middle of cooking, and also never saw any refund for ingredients purchased and not received. I do not recommend trying HelloFresh, there are other meal delivery services out there.

If you work and live in a hot place, don't get this! Their arrival time is a 12 hour window and is usually late. When it does arrive, the ice is melted. I have been dealing with food poisoning for the last 24 hours because of this! Stay away!

Really wish I would have stayed away. Just google them and see they do this all the time. You cancel, they sneak it into your cancellation email that they will still charge you and then you are screwed and can't get a refund. Worst customer service of my life.

We thought we would try Hello Fresh for the convenience of having our food delivered. Our first meal was their version of moussaka - a vegi version, no meat. That was ok but it was not as good as traditional moussaka. Next morning we were both in pain with stomach cramps and needing the toilet every couple of hours. Four days on and we are still not better. I'll never trust a meal delivery company again. I wonder what hygiene is like in their packing area.

I was extremely disappointed by the quality of ingredients. The shrimp was tiny, rubbery, obviously old and not even cleaned! I thought this service was supposed to make cooking easier. Nope it only does the shopping. I understand that some people don't mind eating shrimp with full intestines but I'm not one of them. The shrimp went right in the garbage disposal. The other 2 meals ingredients don't look quite as bad but I think I'll stick to grocery delivery like Instacart where I can specify the quality I want. Hello Fresh sucks.

I was a Hello Fresh customer for 4 months. I found the food quality good, but extremely pricey, and two out of ten boxes had missing items. My tenth and final box contained a double order of fish, potatoes and asparagus - something I had not planned! I was in the middle of making my weekly selections and before I knew it, the HF automated cutoff came and went and even though I had only tentatively selected one of my required two meals per shipment, they sent me two of the same meal. Since this was a "premium" meal, I was charged a total of $86+ ($50.28+$35.96) - for 4 servings of fish - that I had to prepare! The HF customer service response to this - sorry. This was my final purchase from this company!

Did not officially order but put in just enough info while trying to find plans for them to choose meals and charge my credit card. 1 minute after I disconnected my bank account was charged yet had no idea what was ordered since i never ordered anything. Called customer service twice of which they put me on hold so the could "check with their supervisor" and never returned to the call. This is a scam to get you cc info and charge your cc at least an initial order. I cancelled as soon as I saw what was happening but you have to cancel the subscription & the order. Even though I did not actually order anything. They will not credit my account & I have no idea what will show up at my door. Due to food allergies more than likely it will be something I cannot eat. I would not have place an order without looking at the ingredients first. Dishonest company!

Received my first box it was warm, can't even tell you if it was good. So I cancelled the subscription, but guess what they processed a payment and sent out another box anyways. Customer service said there wasn't anything they could do that I needed to cancel 5 days before delivery It was a reminder to me if you get a trial order delete your payment info immediately afterwards and or cancel immediately so these sly companies don't get your money. In conclusion I paid for a warm box of food without my consent and they are like oh well your problem

I ordered a free box and the next thing I know I was charged 45.95 for next delivery which I did not order. I was alerted at 3:45 am by text from my cc company. Called hello fresh and was told I didn't cancel in 5 days. How could I cancel something I didn't order. Contacted them immediately (good luck with that). Was told it was too late. They charge on the 4th day? I'm a senior citizen on a fixed income so beware all seniors. 45.95 seems outrageous for 2 meals even in todays economy. Don't order! PS: Hello Fresh never contacted me about the upcoming order.
