Always great food! I like how they separate the food into individual paper bags which makes cooking and figuring out portions a breeze. I also like the big card they use for each meal. My 10 year old and 14 year old's both can make a dinner from start to finish without help (although I do stay in the kitchen while the stove/oven is on;-).
Cheating & Fooling New Customer Last week I have seen their offer for new subscription for $21.96 for 4 meals in a week, but NO WHERE they have mentioned that the subscription will be doubled from 2nd week onwards. They have charged $45.46 for 2nd week. After checking with their call centre support, he said that they have added shipping, handling, packaging, etc? So why its not been cleared in their communication on 1st instance only, why kepy all hidden and cheating/fooling customers? Pathetic experience
I'd recommend avoiding this company. After my trial box, they charged me for a box I'd asked to skip. I was skipping it because the first box of meals was lackluster and this box didn't look good. Rather than acknowledge their error, Yen in Customer Service has chosen to pretend it didn't happen so I have to dispute the charge with Visa. I've never had this trouble with a subscription company and would warn users to beware.
Also, for vegetarians: expect carb heavy meals. Worst of the 4 food subscriptions I've tried- the others were great!
This is the third week in a row that my meal box has been on the delivery truck for at least two days before it eventually gets to me. I had requested Monday delivery and plan my meals and shopping around this. After two weeks of my food arriving on Wednesday (picked up from their warehouse on Monday but not delivered until Wednesday) the company said they had to change my delivery day to Tuesday. I am tracking my package online right now... it was again picked up on Monday... it's now Tuesday evening at 6:30pm and still no food.
This company is supposed to be all about convenience and "fresh"... they have missed big time on both!
Would not recommend to anyone.

I received a discounted box because a friend suggested. Never ordered another. All I could do is delay shipment. Well they got me. I forgot to go cancel. Charged me $50 for 2 meals of pasta. Plus they delivered at 9:45pm in S.FL it's hot. The food was not cool. The ice pack was still slightly cool but not frozen. I am afraid to even eat the meat for the sauce. So whole thing going in the trash.
Signed up and got one box with HelloFresh. Wasnt worth it so i cancelled. They sent me two more boxes with no email notification and they rotted in my apartment lobby and they charged me 200 bucks for them. I called them and offered me only 50 dollar refund. SCAM company
I can tell this company is scam. Even thought I used to use Paypal to avoid this kind of situations it seems that Paypal is not a secure source of Payment anymore. There is no way that I received a coupon for a free sample and while trying to claim it I was asked to setup an account, introduce a source of payment (which I had Paypal) and being charge without finishing my order. I did received three emails from them, #1 welcome email, #2 asking to finish my order and giving me a borderline time 11;30pm, #3 Paypal email on the borderline time announcing a $91.10 charge on my account for items I even didn't choose. I didn't finish the order because it was not free at all, and because I didn't like what they were offering then, I called to cancel the next day after I did realize they have made an order for me. I feel ripped, abused and think they are doing this under Paypal's consent because I have scaled a dispute that Paypal had closed without reimburse my money.

Auto enroll you in expensive plans and make it very hard to cancel. Avoid! You can make these recipes yourself for 1/10 of the price if you get the ingredients at the grocery store. Rude customer service.
I signed up, got one box, trying to eat just plant based foods so the meals were good options, picked out my next recipes for the second box, was waiting for it this past Saturday, never came so i went online and my subscription was cancelled, i did not do this so I called and the girl was not hearing me. I also received an email saying that Hellofresh was attempting to charge my card over $800, I declined the charge. Customer Service could have cared less and now that my account was cancelled, if I reactivate i lose the discount I originally signed up for. Horrible way to do business.
Stopped my meals the month I graduated college, 13 months later my credit card was billed $400 and they was sending meals to my old address. When I called them they said I started it back up. The only thing that could've happened is the person living there got mail sent from them and started it back up. After numerous times trying to get my money back for food I didn't pay or received they wouldn't do nothing. So my suggestion is to never buy from this company. It's a total scam and their customer service sucks!
After my first weeks I can see that most recepies have almost the same ingredients, spring onion, garlic, soy sauce, so not a lot of diversity. Also, I was looking for some recepies that were a big hit with us, but I can't find them to order them again. It looks like each week they have some variation of the same tastes. It has a good side too, as I've learnt that you can buy bulk ingredients and mix them in a variety of way, if you like a specific flavour.
I will never order from hello fresh again. I am very outraged. First off they charged me 4 times it took 3 weeks to a month to get my first box and it was horrible. I don't know how long they've been traveling with this but it smelled like something dead coming from the box, and the UPS even had it in a plastic bag. When I opened it it was filled with maggots. I called and talked to an agent and supposedly they could not refund me of my money and couldn't cancel my subscription. I will be contacting the BBB since they can't do any better then this and maybe my lawyer as well to get my money back.

Super annoying that you have to add your bank details before you can peruse the menu, giving no choice but be committed to the purchase. There was nothing we wanted to eat so we didn't order any meals, naively presuming I would be refunded, but that didn't happened. Five random meals arrived, and were left on my doorstep whilst I was out, I live on a very busy road so I had to rush home to take them inside before they were stolen. I really did not enjoy any of the meals. Most of the food ended up in the bin. The whole process was stressful and I certainly wouldn't bother with them again
I tried 6 hello fresh meals. I've had to toss away moldy produce in 30% of the bags. They use a ton of packaging for shipping and for all the ingredients. If you order meals for 4, you get double the items for meals for two. The meal preparation seem to be designed to waste time. Too much prep, overly complicated steps just for the sake of it and poor directions. The meals take longer to make than they state. This may be nice for someone starting out and doesn't already know how to cook and doesn't keep normal ingredients on hand. They do expect you to have things on hand at home like butter or vegetable oil, but will package up a table spoon of flour or grated parmesan. The meals taste good if you don't have to throw away produce, but for the effort, save your time and get carry out or meal plan with recipes and have those ingredient delivered.

Now the selection is limited each week and what you may like is Premium choice which is Premium price.nVery disappointed in company that supposedly give health choices NOt

We received two $60 gift cards as Christmas gifts. The cards had instructions to redeem them we had to make an account at the HelloFresh.com site. I did that and had to pick a subscription plan and enter my credit card information to do so. Then I was informed that since I selected a plan I could no longer use the cards $120 value of the gift cards. I cancelled the plan. Today I tried to go back into the account and add the cards as payment by redeeming them and the site says they are expired though the cards have no expiration listed.
I had was supposed to have a delivery on Saturday, but they brought me the box two days later, all the foods have gone bad and there was a horrible smell. I contact them they only refund me, that is all! That was the worst customer service ever!
I tried 3 different boxes. The recipes are very creative, easy to understand and to follow, the products are very fresh and - most importantly - the food is really delicious! When I had an enquiry and called their customer service, they also made a great impression: they responded promptly, they were understanding, kind and really made me feel like a valued customer. Definitely recommend it!
So I pay $50 a week to these people and now for a second week in a row my chicken had a hole in the package. Luckily I noticed that the chicken didn't smell right and was leaking. Needless to say I contacted the people at hello fresh and got a whole $10 back when the chicken was the main part of the meal. With it happening two weeks in a row I simply can't handle these people anymore. They charge a premium price it should be good quality.
Didn't apply my promo code and ended up charging me $69 instead of $25. Customer service is useless and wouldn't give me any refund. I won't come back and they will keep losing their customers if they play their tricks all the time.

My husband and I purchased a box a few months ago and ingredients were missing. We thought to try it again as the meals were tasty. So this time the potatoes had black in the center and the scallions were rotten and the chicken breasts had holes in them. Wasn't even enough for 2 servings let alone four as purchased. Also the potatoes are extremely small. If you reach out yes they will give you a credit BUT you can't use it until you purchase a full price box. So which means 9 more weeks then you can use it. Since the discount normally lasts that long. So you're dissatisfied BUT you have to keep ordering from them anyways to use a credit when you paid for food you can't even eat. Ridiculous

Poor onbaording process, made to add payment method and charged before choosing boxes. Then not charged correct amount joining as a new customer. Customer service not interested in rectifying the issue. Unsubscribed immediately.

Don't sign up to this site you will be charged and made to add payment method before selecting a box. You will then not receive the new customer discount with customer service not interested in rectifying the issue even though you'll be subscribing to weekly orders. Absolute farce!
Just had surgery and a friend got me a $75 gift card. After getting the email from hello fresh I spent 30 minutes on line trying to redeem my gift card and order meals. Finally called to speak with a human and after 45 minutes of her finding no gift card for me (I provided the GC code they sent me) it was discovered rhat in 2017 my wife had given them our email to inquire about their service (we never used their service) now I was told since I had a previous account with that email my gift card could not be redeemed because it was for new customers only? I ended up calling my friend and told them thanks for their thoughts but they need to contact hello fresh for a refund. I seriously doubt that will happen and my friend is out $75. Stay away……faraway from this company. I have since read numerous reviews, 95% were how terrible the service is

Since I started the subscription, I have had problems. The first delivery was missing important ingredients. The second delivery the meals were not what I ordered on the HF app and the meat packaging was leaking though the bottom of the box. The third delivery contained spoiled salad greens that could not be used. This time I was not able to login into the app or the website, after multiple attempts to reset the password. They sent meals that I can not eat and I was told they don't accept returns! I was going to refuse delivery but the box was left on my porch without anyone ringing the doorbell. Customer service only responds by apologizing and offering a credit but not this time. I have cancelled the subscription, and will pursue a refund for the last delivery through PayPal. Stay far, far away from Hello Fresh. The menus and preparation instructions are well done, the actual service is TERRIBLE!
First off they sent me a $30.00 however, you have to actually sign up to view the food. After viewing their website I decided to cancel/suspend the account.
They billed me and shipped food to me anyway! And its food that I will not eat!
Their customer service had the attitude of "sounds like a personal problem to me"

I tried out Hello Fresh, the food wasn't bad, however it was very expensive and I was more interested in having prepared meals delivered. I tried several times to cancel my membership but it's a very difficult and timely process and so I kept avoiding it. Unfortunately I missed skipping my meals one week, a year after signing up and of course got charged and they would not allow me to cancel. It took almost an hour just to get them to cancel my account for future orders.

Hello Fresh basically ripped us off by sending us two boxes of the same thing. They were not willing to make good in any way. All they told us was that it is in the "terms and conditions." We tried to use a gift card and apply to our next shipment but they shipped the gift card box and the regular box. So now we are out an additional $69, and receiving two identical boxes. NICE! This company is terrible. Their customer service is awful. #hellofreshsucks
