Always great food! I like how they separate the food into individual paper bags which makes cooking and figuring out portions a breeze. I also like the big card they use for each meal. My 10 year old and 14 year old's both can make a dinner from start to finish without help (although I do stay in the kitchen while the stove/oven is on;-).

Cheating & Fooling New Customer Last week I have seen their offer for new subscription for $21.96 for 4 meals in a week, but NO WHERE they have mentioned that the subscription will be doubled from 2nd week onwards. They have charged $45.46 for 2nd week. After checking with their call centre support, he said that they have added shipping, handling, packaging, etc? So why its not been cleared in their communication on 1st instance only, why kepy all hidden and cheating/fooling customers? Pathetic experience

Food is good but cost is one of the highest for a meal delivery service and they do not notify you of a delivery coming (if you forget to skip a week) before charging you. Once you are charged, they will not allow any cancelation or recipe changes. They preselected beef and pork recipes, which I don't eat, for a delivery I forgot to skip and would not change a thing and only offered me credit for half a box next time! So I canceled my plan and lost $78 on food I won't eat. They do not care about their customers!

I received my first order very poor products and seriously under sized portion. I want cancel my account and I'm being stopped at ever attempt. It's a trap you can come in but never leave!

I visited their website out of curiosity to see what their menu options were! I have had an account in the past, 5 or 6 years ago. I DID NOT order anything and yet was charged $70 in less than 24 hrs on my Paypal account for food I never would have picked and didn't want…. They refused to refund my money, sent unwanted dinners, which I gave away, they said by visiting their website I had opened an old account. I WILL NEVER EVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN! Visitor beware! Same thing happened to my neighbor!

I never received an email to update the box within the 5 day time frame to cancel/skip. I was automatically charged without notice; no receipt stating I got charged for the monthly subscription. I found out whenI looked at my bank statement. If you choose the premium box it's an extra $8.99/per person, additional to your current box. I got double charged, NOT for the actual total I originally agreed to before shipment. Cancelling is pain because they give you some dumb excuse to try to give you more credit or upsell you to stay with them. (It has to be life threatening situation to be considered for refund/cancelled during the shipment process) I was also lied to from their everyplate company. I was supposed to get credit in my HelloFresh account because I closed my everyplate account. I was told they can't transfer the credits although they're sister company…

I received as a gift. First, you can't set up your account without entering a card. Your card WILL be charged for shipping, regardless of a gift card. Watch your card because they charged my card instead of using gift card, it was fixed but not without attitude. I found the customer service to be extremely poor and others that weren't knowledgeable at all. I was due a credit and I was told twice that they issued it, although it was NEVER received. Missing and ruined items were the reason for the credit that I was supposed to receive. The food actually wasn't bad at all, but I would not order again. I am thankful for the gift I received because I've thought about trying them and now I know that I don't need to do that again.

Tip for consumers:
Make sure to watch credit card charges.

Hello Fresh is a rip off! I signed up at 12:23am on 1/29 on a whim. I received a notification that the meals had been selected for me and would be arriving in 2 days. When I tried to change the meal selections, I was notified that the cut-off for changes was by 1/28 at midnight - 23 minutes before I signed up. The customer chat was useless, saying I should have chosen to skip a delivery. Again, the cutoff for chosing to skip was BEFORE I signed up. Now I am getting charged for a box of meals that I do not want and there is no recourse. I will definitely be disputing the charge with PayPal. Sign up with someone else. Do not get scammed like I did!

Soooo, my friends order HelloFresh and I'll give it to you, HELLOOO FRESH! The meals are great, the veggies are always fresh and delicious, the meats, eh coulda used a bigger portion.
All the meals say 15-30 min prep and cook time, BUT they never once stated that it would cover the kitchen in prep utensils, (knives, bowls, pots and pans, cutting board, etc) and honestly, they should tell me it would take 2 hours to clean up the plethora of mess that is hello fresh.
I think you should send disposable dishes, Clorox wipes AND Dawn dish soap. I put that $&?T on everything. Do you realize how much soap i actually use? And my water bill, what are you guys gonna do about it.

On another note, why does all the food taste like Dawn dish soap?
Coming from a happy but irritated customer.
3/5 stars, might recommend if you wanna do dishes, this is great for housekeepers.

I'm giving hello fresh one star as that's the least i can give, but some of the customer services people are ok.
I am so fed up with hello fresh, they started off well but have just gone so down in regards of quality & service.
Yet again I am throwing ingredients away due to very limited shelf life. Meat products tend to have to be used on the day of delivery. Such items would have to be discounted or remove from supermarket shelves but hello fresh seem to think this is ok. I've have received very poor quality vegetables as well which have gone off very quickly. Also issues with delivery. Changed my delivery day on the day it was due to be delivered without any reason given.
Also hello fresh has now removed the individual food bags they previously used and all dry & vegetables are just thrown in the box.
I would seriously advise against hello fresh, £10 for two meals for which out of date or same use by date for meat & poor quality, they have a bit of a cheek to call themselves hello fresh when this seems to be very far from the facts. I can get two can dine in from M&S for £10 with quality fresh ingredients.

Tip for consumers:
Just go somewhere else, hello fresh is now very poor quality & value

I've been a HelloFresh subscriber for 5 months now, and at least one out of every 4 deliveries has been late by at least 1 full day, if not longer. This is a huge problem during the summer months because each time this has happened the food has been rancid and I've had to throw out the entire box.
I tend to be patient with these things, but it has been happening repeatedly and HelloFresh refuses to offer any kind of discount or compensation to make things right. They just refund the cost of the wasted box and say they're reporting it to their logistics team, but nothing has been done about the issue. My grocery money is then tied up in a box of rancid food for the next 5-10 days while I wait for my refund.

It's one thing to have logistics issues, every food delivery service does, but it is unacceptable to not make things right with your customer, especially when the issues are repeated and have been well documented.

The only reason they're getting a 2-star review is that I enjoyed the service when it actually showed up. Do better HelloFresh.

Their sauces are full of vinegar and if you are not used to add an exaggerated amount of vinegar on your food you may struggle eating your meals from them.
The fresh vegetables that came in for my meals were not as fresh and would spoil in the fridge after a couple days, so I ended up cooking more meals than needed so my veggies won't go off.
As I forgot to choose my meals for 1 week, when I called for support I was not given a choice for my next week's meals, so I got what they decided to send me off disregarding my right to eat things I would enjoy. The customer service person I spoke to was very good at showing me the fine print and to reinforce it, disregarding my pure human forgetfulness. They would not even understand if you need to delay or cancel a delivery with 4 days' notice.
It is actually much cheaper to work out a menu planner and buy your produce from a store that can do home deliveries and your produce will be much fresher and you will have more understanding with regards to delaying or cancelling your delivery.
Their recipes are simple and insist on simple steps a bit too much, which can be annoying if you are used to cooking on a daily basis - for me it felt like assembling an Ikea piece of furniture.
But my main issues were with their customer service that had no understanding and when I forgot to choose my next week's meals, or when I needed to cancel a delivery with notice. I also found it hard to cancel my subscription with them.

This is the second time that I have not received my box on the date promised. Every time I call all they can say is that it is out for delivery! All they can do is offer me a 10.00 credit for and 80.00 order which is rediculious! So in the mean time I had to go to the grocery store and spend ANOTHER 100.00 for food for dinners. VERY DISAPPOINTED right now! I have referred hello fresh to people and now I am mad that I did!

I ended my membership with Hellofresh in June. I was charged $82.99 on October 22. They had a box being shipped on the 26 I called to cancel the shipment and they said they can't cancel the shipment. 4 days before a box being shipped they wouldn't cancel the shipment and they wouldn't refund my money and they wouldn't let me speak to a supervisor or manager. Terrible costumer service food has no allergy warnings and they never end your subscription after end your membership. I don't want them having access to my credit card info I don't trust this company. They don't listen and continue to steal from people. Do not signup with hellofresh. My box was delivered on the I was out of town and was left outside Lobby. The delivery person did not take the food to mail room or took it up to my door.

Do Not trust hello fresh with credit card info. They use it even after ending membership and closing account

We canceled our subscription years ago… then suddenly we started getting charged for packages being delivered when we never even got them. And never agreed to restart our subscription. This happened for weeks. They stole a lot of our money and Hello fresh did nothing. They wouldn't even give us a free box for all the boxes we paid for but never got.
Do NOT trust Hello fresh! They are only out for your money and once they have it that's it.

I have tried several of the competitors (Blue Apron, Green Chef, Marley's Spoon, Sun basket etc) and Hello Fresh is by far the best. Their meal choices are great. I love that I can choose the meals that suit my families preferences. The quality is excellent and I also love that many recipies can be recreated at a later date by purchasing the ingredients myself. With other meal delivery companies they include premade sauces / mixed spices etc that you can never recreate.
I would highly recommend Hello Fresh. I also was given a discount code for $40 off

Consumer beware! Nov 2022 I renewed my membership because the first time I used them I received good service. Renewed my membership on the 14th and had a shipment coming in on the 19th. I realized the address didn't update so called to get help on the 15th before the delivery could arrive. Call after Call they continued to tell me how they couldn't help me. I've been hung up on 3 times and never forwarded to a supervisor after continued request. I pay $95 for a product I did not receive. They have no customer service at all. Stay away!

Wouldn't recommend Hello Fresh at all. Used their service as they had a black friday deal for £16 which worked out cheaper than my weekly shopping but they forgot to pack a meal and gave me the wrong ingredients for a different meal. The options for vegetarians is also pretty limited and for vegans it's basically non-existent. If you try and cancel you have to go through 4 or 5 cancellation screens. They try and ask you if you have special dietary requirements like vegan, at which point they re-direct you to their other company which is Green Chef. I'd avoid that too although I've heard it is better.

The fruit and veg was also pretty old looking by the time I got mid way through the week. The food I did cook was very tasty but I struggle to see how any of the ingredients or quality of the menus are worth full price? They were quick to give me a refund but defaulted it to Hello Fresh website credit. I asked for it to be sent to my bank account straight away instead and they agreed.

Do yourselves all a favour, find some of their recipes (or anyone elses) and buy the ingredients yourself! Shop local too!

I got a good rate for two weeks with HelloFresh first week was great. The second week I ordered a steak, instead I got fish tacos (oh and without the fish), I called customer service trying to get my steak entree! They said they couldn't send out one meal, fine whatever but I wanted my $20 back for their mistaken meal. Instead they said they could only credit my account for $30. OK great... except I would still have to pay $30 more dollars to get this credit. I was told many times "this is our courtesy to you"... yes thank you for this $30 courtesy (because I cant just get one meal delivered at a time). Which I will have to pay your company $30 for! Ripoff. Dumb. Your mistake not mine why am I paying for your messup?

I have 1 star as i am unable to leave any less.
I am absolutely appauled with the service I have received. I cancelled my account a long time ago. I have just received an email telling me I need to pay for a box that will be me in 48h. Not only the fact that I do not want to receive this and will not be here to use the food. The food is the most revolting food I could have chosen on the menu if they even gave me the choice.
I therefore discussed it with one of there team members on Facebook called Dario who was extremely unhelpful and semt to take it as some kind of joke. They told me I would receive a call from their manager within the next 48h even though that's when I would receive the box.
Extremely disgusted with the service.
Do not waste your time or money on this greedy company. All they are interested in is getting your money!
They are making me pay for 3 meals to go straight in the bin.
Ridiculous, utter joke!

I tried to use a gift from someone to try the service. I needed to pay for the shipping (no problem) but I could not. I tried about 10 times to pay with 3 different payment methods (all of which work everywhere else). I chatted with 2 different people and talked to 3 different people on the phone. This makes NO sense to me. NO ONE could answer the question as to why and I was told to just keep trying. They told me they have NO process for communicating with me if they found a solution and I was just to keep trying. I do have a life with other things to do other than JUST KEEP TRYING.

I ordered the classic meal box from hello fresh, and found that my card was chargers 3 times and i had to ring and ask for refund they said they would send me a credit voucher i said hell no give me refund. It took teo months for the refund to arrive. The contents of the food box were so small i thought it was a joke, all the food had gone off meat stunk out of the bag and i found somone from hello fresh had $#*! in my box of food! Its a SCAM and get a recipe and buy the ingredients instead. All of the meals were basic fry the meat add sauce and serve $#*! anyway are people that thick they need mother$#*!ers to send them a $#*!ing recipe box mother$#*!er

I'm highly upset. Me and my fiancé were beyond excited we made our first meal it looked amazing tasted amazing we even made a TikTok review. Then about an hour later my fiancé is currently throwing up and I'm about to here in alittle bit I'm having severe stomach cramps and I'm shaking terrible. I have OCD and food poisoning is my biggest fear I will be canceling and never doing a food box again how ridiculous

Be careful it might look good and smell fine but we 100% got food poisoning from it

Shipping on time. Produce fresh. Recipes are great. Very flavorful. So far we love them. Easy to follow directions but only complaint the order you cook items in are sometimes odd to me.

Food temperature safety ignored so decided to discontinue ordering and they have continued to invite with membership offers even after having been asked a few times to stop.
