Always great food! I like how they separate the food into individual paper bags which makes cooking and figuring out portions a breeze. I also like the big card they use for each meal. My 10 year old and 14 year old's both can make a dinner from start to finish without help (although I do stay in the kitchen while the stove/oven is on;-).

Cheating & Fooling New Customer Last week I have seen their offer for new subscription for $21.96 for 4 meals in a week, but NO WHERE they have mentioned that the subscription will be doubled from 2nd week onwards. They have charged $45.46 for 2nd week. After checking with their call centre support, he said that they have added shipping, handling, packaging, etc? So why its not been cleared in their communication on 1st instance only, why kepy all hidden and cheating/fooling customers? Pathetic experience

The food is pretty good, so 4/5 stars on that, but you should be wary of their subscription model. We only wanted to do a trial of their service and one box, but in their fine print you have to cancel an order five days before its shipping date. You can try and ask their customer support for help, but he basically said "sorry, but you missed the window to cancel the order, can't help you". Its too bad, I really liked their italian rigatoni, but this has soured my taste for this company in the long term.

Overpriced and wasteful. The amount of packaging will create a landfill the size of Texas. If your looking for heartburn and gaining a few pounds be my guest and try it out. My kids can cook a quicker taster meal with their eyes closed and spend the same amount for 10 meals verses 2. It does not save time, is not a good price and is't a healthy option for my family. It may be trendy, but as we know those don't last. Off to the farmers market for some real food and keeping it sustainable, peace out!

I cancelled my subscription within 2 minutes of signing up after discovering they could not accommodate my dietary restrictions. I was on chat for over an hour with them saying they were begging their supervisor to give me the refund, but then an hour in they stated that their policy would not allow. I am so disappointed and appalled by them. Beware!

I decided to use their promo for first time customers 17 meals for free. There was no way to see meals before you subscribe. One I subscribed and realized that all of this doesn't work for me I canceled my subscription right away. Without picking any meals. Then few days after they charged my account an delivered package against my will. With food I never ordered. And guess what? They told me that they not going to refund my money as I didn't cancel delivery. But wait- I didn't order any meals how come that they are delivered what I never ordered. This entire company looks like a big fraud for me with very convenient way to deceive people. I'm not even telling that $10 meals has to be prepared home. I can easily cook food for the same amount or even less without scammers

Tip for consumers:
If yoy wanna spend hours on cooking for the price of an expensive store this service for you

I see other reviews where even though the subscription was cancelled, the next set of meals were sent and charged. I had to call a telemarketing center and spoke to someone reading a script who hung up on me when I requested a refund. Unbelievable customer service for something that appears, at first glance, like a great idea.

The meals were repetitive, not healthy, and not for a family. Truly too good to be true and a bit of a scam regarding the billing post cancellation. I hope someone finds a way to report their shady practices.

On 2 separate occasions the mince I have received was off. When I cancelled my order it was recommenced after a few months without my permission. Boxes of food left at door to go bad whilst we were on holidays they still expect me to pay for it. Be very careful very bad customer service

I have been using hello fresh for 4 weeks now and I am dissatisfied the choices of vegetables are very poor broccoli spinach loads of spinach green beans and that's it hardly any other veg
Plenty of rice risotto dishes.
Last weeks choices have been the worst so far cheese and tomato on I slice of flaky pastry with lettuce leaves in the middle of winter! For this reason I am cancelling my subscription meat only chicken wings and cheap small chicken and turkey breasts quality gone down hill...

My very first box doesn't show up after waiting 2 weeks and receiving numerous emails that it is coming. Website says delivered so I contact support. It was never sent and the support person does not know why. This is not how you do business with a new customer. Even after canceling it still says here is what was in your last box. What a joke, I'll try somewhere else.

Never had such an awful experience after cancelling my account they continued to send me packages so I went as far as cancelling / putting a hold on my card! All of the sudden they show up at my door after being out of town for vacation to rotted food that they charged me for! I called again to tell them to stop and they said I had never cancelled it... It's a nightmare dealing with them! I am a single mom who works 60 hours a week this was suppose to make my life easier I assure you that isn't the case.

Use another company there are plenty ...scam!

Don't be mislead. You are only getting free shipping!
I thought I would be getting free meals but we got quite a shock when we were received our credit card bill and were charged 89.89 for each box.
The quality was mostly very good but they really are more work than I want to put into my cooking.

I wish HelloFresh was better, I really do. I liked their meals and I had fun learning new recipes. Unfortunately, they "had a computer glitch" and charged me 3 times in one day, then promised to fix it, then refused to refund me and only offered credit. Shady as hell.
Then, I started getting boxes with the wrong ingredients or wrong amounts of ingredients. I called again and was offered credit for $20 off. Nope. Cancelled my account and they won't refund any money. BUYER BEWARE!

I cooked all the recipes that we had the correct ingredients for: about 6 meals.

I love when I can come home from work and not have to think about dinner
Recently I have notice the meat quality has been crap.
The diced thighs ( which normally I wouldn't eat) were gross and now for sure I will never eat. The chicken has been loaded with fat
And recently the vegetables have been soggy, I always have extra on hand on the event this happens

My husband and I have been married 36 years - always enjoyed cooking, but recently... I got tired of the 'same old' recipes I had cooked for years. Even after pulling recipes off the Internet - some were good and others not. The same CANNOT be said about HelloFresh. The deliveries arrive when expected in good condition. We absolutely love the fresh ingredients, easy follow instructions and vast variety of meals. I have fixed food I had never even tried before - much less fixed. HelloFresh has given me back my enjoyment of cooking again - and the meals are beautiful! I have recommended to friends and family, as well. I will continue ordering for years to come.

The food was good - very similar to other plans I have tried. The detailed instructions made cooking fun. The trouble is, if you make a mistake there is no recourse. I cancelled my membership online, but apparently accidentally clicked the button to reactivate. I found an unexpected box at my door and a $71 charge! The food was their standard offer, since I had not had a chance to switch to meals I like. When I complained about it, they emailed me that it was my fault. They offered me $11 credit out of $71 if I reactivate! Done with this one!

I had a gift voucher for three meals for two weeks.
The first box arrived ad planned. I had a notification saying my next box was due ti be delivered on 5 Dec. Within the same email I was advised I need to cancel my subscription by 30 November otherwise I would be charged for my next box. I did not want to pay for any further boxes, so I cancelled my subscription. Hello Fresh did not send my second box, because they said I cancelled. I have just spoken to someone on their Customer Service chat line and they are refusing to send me my second box. I am really upset about this and I cannot understand why they are forcing me to cancel my subscription and not delivering the box that has been paid for. I do not recommend anyone buy this as a gift as Hello Fresh do not honour there obligations under the contract. I will certainly never deal with them again.

All the meats arrived warm. All ice had melted. Filed a complaint. They only give credit use against high price cost and not the discounted cost that it was originally. For example, I paid about $59 for three meals due to a discount, and this $59 is credited to non discounted meal of about $80. Don't order these meals in Florida.

Previously had good experience with HelloFresh in past. Purchased a $60 gift card for parents as a Christmas present. Ordered 3 individual meals and had to pay an extra $9.99 for shipping which was fine. Helped parents with order to their picking which was vegetarian options. Was charged an extra $35. Called customer service and apparently vegetarian is an upgraded "gourmet" option. Spent total of $105 for three dinners for two, won't ever do business with them again

First order was discounted. You'd think they'd get it right but half way through the week items were missing. Obviously it looks like a regular occurrence as you go on line and state missing items and you get a credit on your account. Today (despite cancelling my subscription a box arrives)!
So I speak to customer service and say I'm happy to accept the box (on the proviso they refund me the £11.38 credit for the missing items) off the balance they say I now owe.
£30.86 for box I did not want
Minus £11.38 refund for missing items
Equals balance of £19.48
Chat to customer services who refuse to confirm £11.38 has come off balance and cuts me off chat!
Could someone with authority please contact me from your organisation.
Today they take £30.86 out of my account but Refuse to refund me! Please get someone in authority to contact me not your bog standard review reply

I tried to investigate HelloFresh just to see if it was something I would be interested in. I DID NOT actually place and order, yet they generated an order, charged me and refused to cancel it. I called customer service and was repeatedly given the script of "I'm sorry for any inconvenience". They told me that once an account is set up, I had to give them my email address before I could look into what they had to offer, they automatically generate an order. This is unacceptable! I will never recommend this awful company to anybody and I will discourage everybody from using this company. I can't add proof of purchase because I have not received a confirmation email. My order number is *******577

They take your money before they let you choose your meals. I tried to change the box when they included pork in my menu- even though I specifically selected pork as a protein that I do not eat. When I called customer service to get it changed, she compared me to a "child who is picky." I was outraged, and she disconnected the call before I could report it on the customer survey. There is no way to speak to a supervisor, and there's no way to set it right. They've taken my money, and don't seem to care that they are sending food that I cannot eat. BEWARE. There's a reason why they are offering so many coupons: their service and their food is terrible. STAY AWAY.

Just stay away. There's a reason why they are offering so many coupons and discount codes. They're a TERRIBLE company

I planned to try this service just one time, to check their quality and service. Everything was OK, until I found out that they automatically subscribed me on regular ordering of meal boxes. That was surprised, when I've got notification about delivery of my second order, which I didn't make. It is really awful, when a service makes decision instead of you. Especially, when it cost you money.

If I could give a negative rating, I would totally do that. Not delivering box to the door and expecting me to hunt it down 400 apartment doors when leasing center, intercom, my cell phone and Amazon locker are fully available and operational is nonsense.
Customer service is next to none with people not knowing how to operate phones and there is no way to get to the supervisor to solve a problem. Would rather get Amazon fresh delivery in no time.

My first meal contained salmon. It was sealed in a package and when I opened it there was no odor it was so fresh and delicious. I'm very impressed with this company.

I signed for a trial of 3 deliveries.
Was able to choose two and the third one was sent randomly!
Anyway to my surprise a month later they sent another box which I haven't ordered and they charged me for it! More to that when I refused the delivery, they said I was supposed to let them know 5 days in advance?!
So for 9 meals they charged me more than £100! This is more expensive than take away!
Scam. Beware. Their customer support can only apologise and ignore your queries, without even registering the complaint!

Just realized hello fresh has charged me for 4 meals for 2 ppl /week. I may have looked at their web site but I never picked a plan or food. I have a family of 4 so it doesn't even make sense that I would pick meals for 2 ppl. Also I have super picky eaters so not picking the meals is not a option. Then I call customer service and of course they can't cancel or refund. I have to wait 24-48 hrs to have a manager call me back. Stay away it's a scam they are vultures.
