Always great food! I like how they separate the food into individual paper bags which makes cooking and figuring out portions a breeze. I also like the big card they use for each meal. My 10 year old and 14 year old's both can make a dinner from start to finish without help (although I do stay in the kitchen while the stove/oven is on;-).
Cheating & Fooling New Customer Last week I have seen their offer for new subscription for $21.96 for 4 meals in a week, but NO WHERE they have mentioned that the subscription will be doubled from 2nd week onwards. They have charged $45.46 for 2nd week. After checking with their call centre support, he said that they have added shipping, handling, packaging, etc? So why its not been cleared in their communication on 1st instance only, why kepy all hidden and cheating/fooling customers? Pathetic experience
Signed up for a trial box with a code a friend gave me. They set me up for a subscription I did not sign up for and took $115 out of my account… my family can't afford that. I called customer service for a refund and I was told they could not give refunds. Insane after the fact I hadn't even got the box yet. I hope this business realizes what they are doing to people.
Never order from them or go to their website. They will steal your credit card information and provide fraudulent charges. You are required to enter my credit card so you could view the meals available on their website. I even canceled it after I decided none of the meals looked good. I was still fraudulently charged $137.83. I called customer service and they said there is nothing they could do that this is their process. I was told I couldn't get a refund for the charges on items I never received or wanted. I disputed this transaction as fraud, I didn't not authorize this purchase. I was told I needed to cancel my subscription I didn't want in 3 different places? That is so shady and fraudulent. I want a full refund ASAP and I will be sharing this experience everywhere.
Multiple wrong shipments. Their user interface makes it appear that you've edited the order but all they do is ship preselected meals. Contacting Customer Service and they have to put in everything manually, they cannot see your order edits. Hello Error Fresh?! Then they put in manually, shipment still defaults to preselects. Such a HUGE waste of my time. Too bad cuz there are aspects of the service that are very nice. Food prep usually good (some perishables in bad shape), recipes are nice, typically thorough explanation and steps. I've learned a lot and enjoyed some nice meals. But the frustration and weekly torment of wrong orders and extensive amount of time consumed is awful. Juice ain't worth the squeeze so BYE-BYE.

Don't use this service. Their tools are broken and you'll be frustrated unless their preselected meals are all you desire. And be prepared to pay. Weekly subscription, after promotional period, is about $70 for three meals for two people. For the meal quality/quantity, I can eat out cheaper (and not be hassled by poorly designed interface tools).

We've tried Hello fresh twice and I'd say that $115 I could buy more food for these money, in a supermarket for instance. The price doen't match to the amount of food provided. The fridge still looks empty if you'll try to unpack a box. Not suitable for people who have a very good appetite, because amount of food per meal is just limited. If you want an extra food plate, I'm afraid, you'll not be able to grab one. Tht's why we unsubscribed from Hello Fresh.
Bought a gift card for my parents. When they went to redeem the gift card Hello Fresh would NOT allow them to complete their order without entering addtionally payment information. Poor system. I can't use gift card without giving them more card information? Ridiculous. I requested a refund immediately.
I ended up signing up, and adding credit card, required to for signup, canceled 6 minutes later after viewing menu, 3 days later they are sending me a shipment and they've charged my credit card that I removed from their website. They are unwilling to refund me. This is 100% a scam. I didn't even select any menu items, they are literally forcing random product on me.
Received my "free" first order. In which Hello Fresh, made 2 charges. The total of charges were around 100 dollars. I was told that there were up-charges because I made changes. When I place my order on the website. There was a $17.87 upcharge in which I was happy to pay. But, did not receive the described product. I canceled my account well within the time frame stated on the website, and after receiving something other than what was advertised/ordered.
After talking with the customer service to resolve the discrepancy. I was informed that there were no supervisors. Then told that they were all in a meeting. All 10 of them. When asked if any refunds were ever made. I was not surprised by the answer.

The "free meals" are not free, and they will charge any account on file. I would recommend canceling any interaction with this company, and refuting any fraudulent charges with your financial Institution. Reporting to the BBS. will also help.

I have used Hello Fresh on and off for over a year. I have had the issue in the past that I missed to skip a meal and in the past as long as I called the next day they could cancel my order and refund me. THIS HAS CHANGED! They will no longer cancel and refund your order if you miss the cut off. This week I will be receiving an order from Hello Fresh and an order from Everyplate (sister company). Neither of them would let me cancel my order. I will now have too much food and not enough money to pay bills. Because of this they lost a customer to both companies. The kicker is that they can not cancel your order the day after but they can change the meals in the order. This does not make sense. My box is not coming until next week. With technology these days, cancelling the day after should not be a problem. Let me say this was never a problem in the past but all of a sudden it is policy. Goodbye Hello Fresh.
I posted a simple question from their member portal and received a reply from Simone with a link back to a department it should have gone it. I replied asking for more information and received and answer from Thomas asking for more details. I them communicated 4 more times to a total of 6 different representatives before receiving zero answers. I them called and spoke to a floor supervisor who could not help because she is not from the email department. I am glad that I proved to be so entertaining to the email division off this serviceless company.
Terrible website that makes you submit your payment option before viewing the menu. Once you view the menu and you're not satisfied with their menu, and you try to cancel before even placing the order they still process the $35.92 payment. After contacting the customer service, they informed me that the only way to receive your refund is to file a complaint with your payment option. After contacting my bank to dispute the charge, they also informed me that this merchant charges a reoccurring fee every month. This is a very extreme unfriendly merchant to consumers, and I do not recommend this merchant to anyone, period!

The products/ingredients that the sell you guys are not always good a lot of meat & vegetables that they give are bad & this company will still give their customers them. I was in the main warehouse in Newark New Jersey Also the people that work there are disgusting they will drop your products on the floor & still give it to the customers please be careful it a lot going on at Hello Fresh please be careful eating their products.
I have tried 3 different meal delivery programs and Hello Fresh is by far the best one I have tried! What I really liked the most is that it really only took about 30 minutes to make the meals! If I ever do use one of these programs again I will be going back to Hello Fresh!

I agreed to do a survey over the phone and they gave me a discount code in return. Was kinda stoked until I realised they'd reactivated my account after this call without telling me. Called them to fix their mistake and see about getting my money back as the box hadn't been sent. The guy was a bit rude and told me they couldn't do anything. I expect to get scammed by dodgy emails, overseas phone calls and hot singles in my area, but not a legitimate business
I tried this for the first time yesterday. The food turned out delicious. Nice flavors that were a good change from my normal weeknight meals. It was more work than I was expecting. For some reason I was thinking these would be simple meals (i.e. Ready in 15 minutes). But that's not a negative. Having all the fresh vegetables and ingredients to make it yourself taste way better than pre-prepped meals out of a box. Overall I thought it was pretty darn good. My only complaint would be the amount of packaging that it comes in. It's a nice presentation and very well packaged, but it's sooooo much packaging. Seems like a lot of waste.
Absolutely appalling service. I rejoined after a gap of a few years as I wanted to try these meals again. Previously we were able to cancel on the app easily. However now when I go through the app I am directed to a phone number. I am non verbal and phonecalls are impossible. So I found thier customer service email address and explained this asking that they cancel my subscription for me due to being unable to make a phone call. I was then promptly sent an email telling me to call the phone number to do this from a customer service representative. I have had to inform my bank that I don't wish any further payments to be taken and change my card details to prevent any further payments. This is absolutely revolting that a firm like hello fresh are so discriminate when I made it clear what my disability was and I will be taking this further.
Would you demand that a wheelchair user climb a flight of stairs to cancel their subscription. How do you expect someone non verbal to do this verbally. I have attached a copy of my email and their response so there is no doubt this is a genuine experience.

Hello fresh is a company that gives advertisments for free meals offer and once we take subscription even i didn't place the order, wothout choice of my meals which are pork,beef which i won't eat.They ordered without my notice and adding a bill for it.When i checked my mail after work and called them they said it's too late to cancel and i have to pay 75 cad for it without discounts.but the order reciept which i got in my mail is for 30 cad.They are playing with discounts and automated orders.don't trust this

I had been a HelloFresh customer for over a year. Then they just start treating you like they don't care about your business. Do not use HelloFresh they don't care about their customers. They only care about getting your money. They will lie and deceit you just to get your money. After I was a long time customer they didn't care at all about what was happening. I had 3 different employees lie and deceive me even after I had proof that they were doing this. DO NOT EVER USE HELLOFRESH

I saw an add for a discount on my first 4 weeks so I thought I'd try it out. As I'm going through the sign up process, I'm waiting to see the food choices, or anywhere I can list food allergies or dietary needs (vegan, vegetarian, kosher, etc...) There wasn't anywhere. They do not show you the menu until AFTER you pay. Then you find what they have picked for you! That meal would kill my child! Then you can't cancel the order! I used the online chat and the rep canceled my order after trying to convince me to stay. I am going to watch my credit card statement to make sure I don't get charged. What a rip off. I still gave them 2 stars because the price seems reasonable for what you get especially considering you don't have to go shopping and chop all the ingredients and all that. Since I cancelled I couldn't tell you how good the food tastes.
I sent a referral to my friend after I received a notification that if I invite friends they get a free box. My friend call me furious next day telling me that Hello Fresh charged her $111 to her paypal account and don't want to cancel. They never honor the free box and because she did sign up after hours she couldn't call anybody right away to cancel the orde and next morning it was to late saying they already preparing for shipment, this was Sunday and they already shipping for Wednesday delivery? How fresh is this? This refer a friend is a scam
I was hesitant at first, I was kinda scared, us puertorricans aren't used to these type of services. Husband wanted to try it, we did, and wow! This has been the best idea ever. Ingredients are fresh, hand picked, and the recipes are to die for. This has been the best investment ever. Recipes are simple, easy to understand, fast and delicious

For the money it wasn't worth it. Potions very small... flavour wasn't there and the final straw was when the ha hamburger wasn't good it was grey and smelt bad! Emailed customer service never heard from them... bottom. Line don't waste your money and just go to the grocery store and get your own food. TLDR: Hello Fresh credited $39/$120 in gift cards.
My parents got me $120 in gift cards for Hello Fresh for Christmas. I tried to apply them to my account, one said it 'expired'. Since when do gift cards expire? The other one, a $60 value, only applied $39 to my account. This is apparently because I'm using a discount code already, so it will only cover the cost of one box (no including shipping) instead of crediting me the full $60 value the gift card was purchased for. That's a $39 credit for $120 purchased in gift cards by my parents. They are actual thieves!
I have proof that I cancelled my account 2 minutes after opening it. I logged in and discovered I could not change the first order delivery date and this would not work for us. I cancelled the account IMMEDIATELY afterwards.
There was NO INDICATION on the website whatsoever that the box would be sent ANYWAY.
When you cancel, they say you also have to cancel the box - but the website does not indicate this when you cancel.
They refuse to issue a refund and say that in the fine print of their Terms and Conditions that you have to cancel the box as a separate step. How they think people will know this is beyond me.
Their customer service representatives are often located off shore and will just hang up on you if they don't think they can help you. No matter how polite you are, they will just disconnect the call if they don't want to work with you.

DO NOT use this company - or if you do, be very careful when you try to cancel because they will continue to ship unwanted items without your knowledge.

I canceled the account as soon as I seen the menu but they are going to ship me my first box no matter what. I didn't even select any meals. What a scam. You live and you learn. I think you should be able to look at the meals and decide but they don't want you to do that. SCAMMERS. My 1st and last box should arrive tomorrow.

I did not love the food, so I tried to CANCEL the subscription but they ignored me and charged me for the next 2 orders ($75/ x 2) when I emailed them they only credited me for one order and ignored my emails afterwards. So I called a week later, and they said they could not return the money cause they keep records for a very short period of time! Ridiculous. Try another company! NOT HELLO FRESH,
