Always great food! I like how they separate the food into individual paper bags which makes cooking and figuring out portions a breeze. I also like the big card they use for each meal. My 10 year old and 14 year old's both can make a dinner from start to finish without help (although I do stay in the kitchen while the stove/oven is on;-).

Cheating & Fooling New Customer Last week I have seen their offer for new subscription for $21.96 for 4 meals in a week, but NO WHERE they have mentioned that the subscription will be doubled from 2nd week onwards. They have charged $45.46 for 2nd week. After checking with their call centre support, he said that they have added shipping, handling, packaging, etc? So why its not been cleared in their communication on 1st instance only, why kepy all hidden and cheating/fooling customers? Pathetic experience

I had a random charge from this company when I have never signed up for a subscription, I didn't hold this against the company as these things happen but when I called four day ago to have the remove my card from any account an refund me my money because I did not authorize this transaction the run around started. The employee stated there was no way for them to refund me and when I asked for a supervisor I got told there was non on duty, day two consisted of the same conversation but a different employee, also no supervisor available until 4pm they said, now going on a week I finally got a supervisor on the phone and they again said they need to reach out to their boss and it would be another 24hrs and when I declined they hung up the phone on me three times. Well now there is a complaint into the BBB and an ongoing investigation as to why they charged me in the first place and how to retrieve my funds. Still no assistance from hello fresh what so ever. This is a very poor company with little to no customer service. I will be the first to say they will never get business from me in the future and I'll make sure anyone I know who currently has them dose not any longer. I hope you all do not have to go threw the same issues as they will take your money and run even if it was not authorized!

Bought a gift card for elderly parents. HelloFresh requires a credit card number with the gift card. HelloFresh fraudulently signed them up for a subscription and charge their credit card $70 for food they DID NOT ORDER and DID NOT WANT.
HelloFresh will NOT refund money. Run a round with customer service - long wait times. ELDER FRAUD
BEWARE - DO NOT BUY OR USE GIFT CARD WITH HELLO FRESH as they will automatically sign you up for a subscription.

I will sue this scam loophole and save the world.

I have called so many times regarding a gift card that I received for my birthday in May. I attempted to use the card and was told that I needed a credit card before I could use it. I DO NOT HAVE A CREDIT CARD.
I was told that I needed a form of ID I offered to send a copy of my passport or drivers license.
PLEASE REFUND THE 60.00 FOR THE GIFT CARD THAT I CANNOT USE

I ate chicken and the next day I had tummy aches, infact even that night I had bad wind then I had a bad tummy upset. The company do apologise and refund you but it should not happen to begin with.

Still kind of in shock over how this company operates. I signed up as I was interested in finding out more. When I couldn't view the menu without first supplying a payment method, I didn't think anything more of it so I added a credit card. I had a look at the vegetarian meals and decided the food wasn't for me and decided not to use HelloFresh after all. To my surprise I received an email the next day saying that my box was being prepared for delivery. I called customer service only to be told that by signing up, I was signing up to a subscription and even though I had just wanted to browse the menu first, some vegetarian meals had already been pre-selected for me. There was no "submit" phase for this order, no ability to simply browse the types of meals before committing, it was all arranged for me and as I had apparently missed the cut-off time (which had never been disclosed to me) there was nothing that could be done. I guess this is how HelloFresh get your money, in this weird semi-scam-ish way. So disappointing as the meals honestly look revolting. So BEWARE! Don't even risk signing up to find out more, because they'll take your money without you even realising you're signing up for a subscription.

I ordered (with Customer Service help) the 3 day/4 meal plan on Sunday Sept 18. Because I wanted deliveries to be on Tuesday, I was told that because of that my first delivery would be September 27. Sept 27 came and went and I was notified that there had been an issue and the box would arrive by 2:00 on Sept 28. That time came and went and I was told that it would arrive by 8:00 that day. 8:00 Sept 28 came and went and I was notified there was an issue with order so it would not come until Sat, Oct 1. That date came and went. I finally received the package at about 6:00 Sunday evening, Oct 2. (5 days after the original delivery date.) The cold packs were melted and 2 of the 3 meals I received are not what I ordered. I'm lucky a lot of items were vegetables. I won't eat the turkey or sour cream. I called customer service 4 times and now have a credit on my account of about $200.00 - from my FIRST order. But I can't use it until I have ordered 8 boxes. I'm not sure I want to order ANY boxes. Customer Service has a script they read from. "Insert customer's name here." Each person said almost the same thing. The 3rd time I called, I asked to speak to a supervisor but was told that would take 24-48 hours. I am now 5 hours from that deadline. I would like to talk to someone to find out what the heck happened but I only get low level customer service people who read from a script and have English as a second language. Please give me a reason why I would want to order from here again!

This was the worst experience ever. My first order came in without any meat. I reached out and told I would be given a $45 account credit. They forgot to say that this account credit would not be applied to future orders until all the promotions are expired (7 or 8 weeks later). When I realized this, as I was charged again without any of the discount applied, I called to cancel my account and my upcoming delivery way ahead of time. I was told everything was done and that my charge was refunded. As the refund would not appear, I had to call again to find out my account had not be closed but just paused. I went over the whole thing again to be told it was closed and I was getting my refund. A couple of days later the food comes in. I called again and I am told it was too late to cancel the last delivery (when I had cancelled it way ahead of time) but that I would be refunded. I asked for an email confirmation stating I would be refunded and was put on hold, then hanged up on. I never received an email nor was I refunded. I had to dispute the charge with my bank. This company is a scam. Do not believe the rating/reviews they are listing, just google them and the BBB and you'll see.

Stay away from this company if you do not want to get scammed!

The meals are not what it looks like. You have to sign up and provide your credit card before you can see that out of the 30 meals you can choose from many of them are duplicates - so there aren't 30 choices. The choices I had included a sandwich, quesadilla and a pasta that reminded me of my school lunch program - and those are their photos and representation of their food. HUGE disappointment! When I saw what my choices were (after you sign up and pay) I tried to cancel. - They say it's easy, cancel at any time... try to find that option on their website. I started a chat and had to tell them I wanted to cancel 3 times before it was even acknowledged. Then the rep tried to talk me out of cancelling. Have you ever tried to cancel your cable... it was worse than that! Do not let their coupons and discounts entice you. It is not worth your time to even visit their website! I wish I would have taken photos of the food choices but I only decided to write this review after trying to cancel was so difficult. I couldn't get back to the actual menu choices. And they were NOTHING like what you see BEFORE you give your credit card #.

WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER! WEBSITE MALFUNCTIONED AND CHARGED MY CARD! WHEN I TRIED TO CALL THE PHONE LINE WAS DOWN. THEN I TRIED TALKING TO THE WEBSITE SUPPORT AND ALL THEY COULD DO WAS RETURN MY MONEY AFTER 7 BUSINESS DAYS! WHEN I ASKED TO TALK TO A MANAGER THEY TOLD ME THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO! I ABSOLUTELY AM PISSED! DO NOT USE THIS SITE AND IF YOU DO BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR CARD INFO!

My box was due for delivery on Sunday 8 May and following a lack of tracking details by 11am on that morning I contacted the HelloFresh customer service chat but could be given no more information about when my delivery would arrive. I continued to wait until 3.30pm at which point I contacted the customer service chat again but could still be given no more details.

A few minutes after this online chat an email miraculously landed in my inbox saying my food delivery box had been misplaced by the courier and had been cancelled as a result, with the value of the box added to my account as a 'credit' (not refund). I followed this up instantly with a call to HelloFresh customer service team to request a refund, by which point it was 4pm and as it was a Sunday my local supermarket was now closed, leaving us with no evening meal.

The call was escalated to a 'manager' who to their credit called back the same evening but could offer nothing more than £10 credit on my account. I had waited in the whole day for this delivery, to be left disappointed with no evening meal, and to only be offered a measly £10 credit really showed me just how little this company cares about their customers.

As a result I have now closed my account with HelloFresh and will be trying out an alternative meal box supplier.

Signed up for my account and asked for my card info, i entered apple pay just so i could view the menu and all of a sudden i have an order date a payment scheduled and NO ADDRESS GIVEN TO THEM. Goodluck getting my payment HelloFresh! If i cant cancel a card payment, i'll freeze my card! GFFB

Signed up just so I could see their vegetarian options since that's the only way to see.
Saw they sucked and immediately cancelled my subscription within the hour.

Wake up the next day to see they've taken $50 from my account and I have three PORK dishes headed to my VEGETARIAN household which I'm told I can't cancel (and that canceling my subscription didn't cancel this order they decided to immediately place on my behalf)

They LIE TO YOU and say you have 4 days to change the order, then how come the very next day I wasn't able to cancel the order I never even placed!
Told they can't help, asked to speak to a manager and told it takes 5-7 days to get a call or email back so the pork is still headed to my house

No way to change your delivery instructions either.

BIGGEST SCAM EVER!

I've been doing Hello Fresh for just over a year. Yes it's a tad expensive, but I like the convienence and for the most part I really enjoy the meals. Customer service is always friendly and has usually been able to resolve any issues I have. Initially everything arrived on time and all the ingredients were there. Not so much the past month+ I'm beginning to receive orders that are missing ingredients and in one case the cooking card was missing and in another case the wrong cooking card was sent. Now you can go to the website and get the instructions if you need, but I prefer to look at the card while I'm preparing. The order this week was missing carrots. I got a $6 credit and I can pop down to the grocery store and buy some, but the point is that they were missing from my order. Hello Fresh is already a bit expensive, you should receive everything you paid for. I was missing the "Tex/Mex" paste in another order and that wasn't so easy to replicate. I tried, but it wasn't as good as the paste that should've been in the bag. Additionally I've noticed that they've been paring down the recipes. The same dinners I got months ago, now have been reformulated without certain ingredients and/or the amount you get (say cheese) has been reduced. I have to say I really like the concept, but I'm thinking about canceling Hello Fresh and trying out another company

I have had hello fresh for a while and lately I am considering cancelling my service I have made about 10 complaints recently as every single one of my weekly boxes has had bad spoiled or not proportionate or missing ingredients it's honestly such a disappointment at this point for the price you pay the portions are increasingly smaller and i don't seem find fulfillment in the portions for the price on top of that the constantly bad or missing ingredients ruins the entire meal and I rather have to go out and buy additions ingredients to cook it or the issue a credit and it's also the same response from customer service but no actual results as far as fixing the problem I think it has a lot to do with where they are outsourcing or hiring the people who pack these boxes they are becoming increasingly more inaccurate and the past 9 boxes I've had I have had a problem every single time it's ridiculous for the price they need to source better produce and check it before shipping not to mention make sure all sizing is proportionate the bread that comes in the meals for Sandwiches hoagies and ciabattas are extremely small and honestly a terrible size for an adult and the price and they are very inconsistent with weight and size! I'm over it and very frustrated this company seems to care more about profit then quality now a days and the automated customer service responses with no actual results are tiring. They really need to reevaluate their process and protocols or lower the cost.

I called the company three times, to find out I had 2 accounts. One of them was auto created when I used PayPal instead of a credit card.
I was assured by customer service that the two accounts were combined on my third call. The representative assured me that my new address was saved.
I received notification that I received a box. Upon investigation I found that the delivery was to my old address. I called the company to ask for a credit for the box, since it was delivered to the wrong address.
I was told no. In addition the customer service rep hung up on me. I was not screaming or cursing. Just frustrated.
I called back. Explained to the new rep what the issue was. After being told they had no record of me calling before, it was my problem and there would be no credit given. When I asked if the rep was in the US, he hung up on me!
During 2020 I did use hello fresh. The ingredients started becoming sub par, sometimes one day from being rotten. Other times the veggie of the recipe was substitute for a cheaper veggie that did not even go in the recipe. For example, instead of asparagus for chicken with mushrooms and asparagus sauce, the box would take out asparagus and put in sweet potato.
When I called I was told it was because of the supply issues caused by the pandemic.
I thought I would try them again and can say NEVER EVER use this service!

I tried your service and it did not work for me. I found that the produce don't last long and they are not fresh, so I cancelled the service. I received a confirmation on my cancellation and even though it did not work for me and my family I tried to show it to a friend and refer them because it may work for them and their family...but I soon found out through a Hello Fresh representative that logging into a cancelled account AUTOMATICALLY RENEWS YOUR ACCOUNT. I DID NOT RE ACTIVATE MY ACCOUNT...AND THAT DID NOT MATTER. IF YOU EVEN GO BACK TO LOOK AT AN ACCOUNT YOU CLOSED...THEY BILL YOU AND RESEND YOU THE MEALS... THIS IS ROBBERY!

It is a SCAM! If you receive a promo code and/or use the promo code of first order, be careful it is a way to attract you to create an account, order and put your credit card!

I created an account for the first time, applied the promo, paid my first order, received a confirmation and few hours later... My order has been canceled because I am "not eligible" for the promo code because I am "already" a client... WHICH IS IMPOSSIBLE!

I contacted the customer service and they told me that they found some similitude with another account and I ask which ones (email address is denifitely different as I could register, phone number is the first time and personal so not possible, the only thing is the postal address because I leave in the building... But what if one person in the building order, all the other cannot because we are at the "same address" even though we are unrelated?!). Anyway, the customer service said that they cannot share that information with me and that they cannot do anything as it is the system...

Well, I would say that they want to SCAM! Because all other orders are scheduled in my portal only the first orders with promos are cancelled... Which means that if you are not careful they continue to charge you at the base price without applying what they promise. They are giving false advertisement.

For this practice, I ban this company, the company is not even helpful... They could at least investigate to make sure that I am not the same person but they do not do such effort. Their bad they lost a client and got a very negative feedback that I will post everywhere to warn people.

Tip for consumers:
Do not order for the first time with a promo code. They will not apply it to you

I signed up to get a box from Hello Fresh with a trial period. After seeing the pre selected meals, and no way to change them, I just decided to cancel it right after. By the end of the week, I got a message that they charged my account. I contacted them, and asked why I was charged when I cancelled long before the shipping, the rep never answered my question, and then just said she would send me a refund. I contacted them over and over again about my refund, and they claimed it was "processing." Finally, I just disputed the charge with PayPal and it was taken care of... at the bottom of their website it says you have to request to, TERMINATE your account in writing and it takes 45-60 days for them to even respond to confirm your request! Canceling and deactivating your account doesn't do anything! They will save and hold on to you account info, and payment info and send yearly charges! They basically have your consent while your account is with them. So request them send you a letter in the mail, send it back certified to terminate your account, if you email them, they continue to lie, they are truly "Wolves in Sheep's Clothing!"

Tip for consumers:
Don't subscribe with them unless you truly want to because getting out, will be a long battle.

I ended up getting my box. I thought that they would at least send good food. They should file for a DBA as Back of your pantry.

I ordered the veggie box and received 15 carrots in sum. For the curry box they only sent a tablespoon of curry and a can of coconut milk, pack of jasmine rice, acorn squash, tiny brown onion, soy sauce?, a half rotting ginger, parsley?, and 3 carrots. I have question marks after some ingredients because they don't make sense. I didn't even get any recipes. Maybe my standards are high, but I firmly believe that Hellofresh offers bad service. You're paying for shipping, packaging, and overhead. I guarantee that the one curry box cost less than $5. Each box looked like it was less than $55.

I'll go on but I made my point above. The mac and cheese pack came with with a full pack of carrots?, shells, 2 small packs of cheddar cheese, and 3 cartons of 4oz milk. No recipe. My minestrone soup box came with half bunch of kale, a small brown onion, box of canellini beans, 5 carrots, and 2 cloves of garlic. Where's my base? Yea. I am not doing this again.

I ordered one box to try it out. That experience was great but I chose to discontinue/ in their words, pause. AND INWAS SHOCKED TO BE CHARGED FOR ANOTHER BOX ARRIVING THIS WED. Calling the customer service, the only thing they could tell you is that there is nothing we can do, you have already been charged. The entire call filled with nonchalancy and people chatting loudly in the background. NOTE THAT ONCE YOU PAUSE, YOU CANNOT PAUSE INDEFINITELY, IT WILL AUTOMATICALLY RESUME WITHOUT WARNING YOU AT AND AND CHARGE YOU ACCORDINGLY. No receipt was even sent to my email. THE ONLY WAY IS TO CANCEL YOUR ACCOUNT. Now that the box is areiving on Wed and my fridge probably does not have any space for any of these food at all. Great disappointment to their service and subscription policy.

While the quality of the food is great, don't expect the same from the customer service. I was given a trial offer of this site from a coworker, and when I went to cancel it as it's a recurring payment, the earliest cancellation date was the week after my trial. As my trial offer didn't give an end date, I thought nothing of it until I saw I'd been charged for that week. I contacted their customer service about it asking for a refund since I'd already cancelled my membership with them, but they said since I'd chosen the week after my trial (the earliest available time I could choose mind you), that they weren't able to give me a refund. So I replied to them again through the same email thread, just to get the exact same email back! Again, the quality of the food was good, but if you have any issues at all with your order or cancellations or anything that requires an interaction with their customer service, forget about it. Incredibly unhelpful, and makes me cringe that I have to even call what they did "customer service."

Customer Support is polite but useless. CS can't stop affiliate spam despite many requests via chat, email, and even phone — some "elevated" to a supervisor or "expedited". CS refuses to provide any contact info (beyond Customer Service) to marketing, affiliate marketing, or management. CS refuses to provide details about affiliate program spam policies.

The HelloFresh website does not provide an easy opt-out that actually works. (HelloFresh did eventually add a postal junk mail opt-out form that has an optional email field hidden at the bottom, but it is ineffective. HelloFresh site opt-out list now includes some other HF brands, but the form has to be submitted separately for each brand — and requests are ineffective.)

HelloFresh affiliate marketing is out of control. They incent spam and do not care/fail to supervise their spamming affiliates. I receive one to four HelloFresh brand spam emails six or seven days a week, plus those from other HF brands despite numerous chat, email, and phone requests.

I really only wanted to see what they offered. But even to just get into the site, you have to give them your CC info. I didn't like the offerings and made no choices and canceled that day. Come to find out I get a shipment anyway and of course my card was charged. My account info says I've canceled. I sure hope the cancellation stays in place and they don't charge me again or send any more food.

I made no choices, but they sent me three pork choices and one chicken. I did say that I was a pescatarian. But I get lots and lots of pork. That I did not choose. My meat-eater husband is out of town. Will it all save for a week until he's back? Do I eat just the sides and let the meat stay in the freezer for him.

AND Veho delivery couldn't find my house. It is hard to find, unless one uses Google Maps. Nothing else will get you here. We did manage to meet up and I did get the food.

All in all I'm not happy with HF and how they charged me and sent unwanted food despite my immediate cancellation, no with Veho and their delivery. I should be more forgiving to Veho, though. If there was going to be a next time, I'm sure they'd find me.

I'm giving two stars instead of one because I'm trying to make up for being grumpy to the Veho drivers, not that it helps them at all. :(
