Always great food! I like how they separate the food into individual paper bags which makes cooking and figuring out portions a breeze. I also like the big card they use for each meal. My 10 year old and 14 year old's both can make a dinner from start to finish without help (although I do stay in the kitchen while the stove/oven is on;-).
Cheating & Fooling New Customer Last week I have seen their offer for new subscription for $21.96 for 4 meals in a week, but NO WHERE they have mentioned that the subscription will be doubled from 2nd week onwards. They have charged $45.46 for 2nd week. After checking with their call centre support, he said that they have added shipping, handling, packaging, etc? So why its not been cleared in their communication on 1st instance only, why kepy all hidden and cheating/fooling customers? Pathetic experience

Was able to choose two and the third one was sent randomly!
Anyway to my surprise a month later they sent another box which I haven't ordered and they charged me for it! More to that when I refused the delivery, they said I was supposed to let them know 5 days in advance?!
So for 9 meals they charged me more than £100! This is more expensive than take away!
Scam. Beware. Their customer support can only apologise and ignore your queries, without even registering the complaint!
I had several people living with me that wanted to try the hello fresh box. Come to find out, they won't honor the coupon and won't say anything if the address is the same. The app will tell the person it's delivered but they call them and say it was canceled and a refund will be sent. No refund has been issued for them as of yet and customer service sends a message saying it charged the account. I've sent numerous people boxes and had them purchase. Never again! Horrible
Just realized hello fresh has charged me for 4 meals for 2 ppl /week. I may have looked at their web site but I never picked a plan or food. I have a family of 4 so it doesn't even make sense that I would pick meals for 2 ppl. Also I have super picky eaters so not picking the meals is not a option. Then I call customer service and of course they can't cancel or refund. I have to wait 24-48 hrs to have a manager call me back. Stay away it's a scam they are vultures.
We've been with hf for over a year. It started good but the quality has went to crap. More then 3 times I've got carrots that I could bend to a u. I have carrots in my fridge for over 2 weeks that don't do that so they sent months old carrots. The diced chicken is horrible. Cut into inconsistent tiny pieces. I just got pork chops that wernt even chops. They were the end. And obviously old. I'm almost done with them. I never complain publicly but it's getting ridiculous. Don't get me started on the tiny garlic cloves. I just don't understand how an employee could package the carrots I've got without basically saying fu to the customer..
I would like yo to know about my first and last experience with Hello Fresh. I bought a gift card for my father. It was to have been sent to his email address at Christmas. He never received it. I called customer support, who sent me an email with a pdf of the gift card attached. I forwarded the message to my father who followed the link and entered the code, only to get an error message. I called customer service two more times, eventually getting instructions with a different link to enter the code. When that didn't work, my father called customer service, speaking with three different agents. He was finally able to place one first order. He was told to give it a couple of days before trying to log back in to order a second meal. Terrible customer service!

Totally unethical business. You have to put in your card info to even view the website and this is how they get users to sign up without even knowing it. Do everyone and yourself a favor and don't get anything here at all costs. Unethical, snobby, rude customer service.
It is fresh and timely. It's a little pricey but I like the instructions and cooking tips that come with each meal. My sister sent me a free week. I ordered one more week by "accident". It wasn't exactly what I would have chosen but was still pleasantly surprised.
They charge w/out permission, find any reason to have one re-activate, and once charges appear on your statement it's nearly impossible to remove/return the charges...despite not having received anything nor ordering anything. Thank goodness I've used PayPal to pay and they are resolving my charges.
Was really hoping this would work. I love having the food delivered and the recipes were pretty good. Each recipe only has a handful of ingredients so it would be worlds cheaper to get the items from the store but I still would have kept the subscription for convenience of the vegetables were not such horrible quality. Every zucchini was rotten on one end and limp and old, peppers rotten inside, ginger was always dry and one was even slimy! The carrots were terribly small and limp and old, green onions were slimy and old, limes often old and skin brown. It was like pulling veg out of my fridge that had been left in there for months. Unfortunately I had to throw the vegetables they provided away frequently and the program is already expensive for what you get of you were to receive the best quality produce. I would NOT recommend this to anyone.
Cancelled the service on 4-5-22. Was away for 3.5 months, no internet service & very limited cell phone service. Imagine my surprise when I come home and find out that my subscription was not cancelled, someone at hellofresh only put it on hold. I am out $300.00, for something I never ordered. I would not put it on hold as meals were shipped to my dorm address. I knew I would be away and the meal program does not work for collage students living on campus with only a microwave in the common area. Very difficult to understand the customer service reps, their accent was very heavy. One of the dozen phone calls had me talking to a rep. While a rooster was crowing in the background and he did not understand why I thought that was unprofessional. Horrible company to do business with. Penn State should be ashamed for offering this to students.

Didn't work for our family. Very time consuming and assumed you had things in your pantry that we didn't. Husband also didn't like the food. It also doesn't work out to be cheaper in the long run for us, even with all the discounts. Got 2 calls today to talk over my feedback (said it was 1-2 minute survey... it is NOT!). I gave them my feedback as it didn't work for me (TWICE). Didn't fix any of my issues with it but offered me another discount.
I had to run (both times), politely got off the phone and then got a message to my phone after the second call that they had reactivated my account and I was going to be charged for another 3 meals...
I was livid! I tried to remove my payment details off my account but it wouldn't give me the option. I cancelled my subscription AGAIN!
I feel like my information is now being used against me. I never agreed to ordering it again.
Avoid this company the tactics are just terrible and not customer focused at all.

You need to cancel your subscription before a certain day to avoid being charged again. You also can't do this on the app and need to sign in on a browser. This may be really close to your delivery day so becareful you don't get charged twice.

My Hello Fresh order arrived late. Box leaking, seafood spoiled and all they gave me was a credit for another purchase? With all the free boxes they push you to sell to friends and family, you'd think they'd do more than refund the cost of the box with shipping. Customer service was a poor experience, unempowered reps, and 30+ minutes wait.

Hello Fresh meal service
We have done hello fresh meals now for four weeks and we have found all the recipes delicious. It is is a bit expensive compared to our own meal planning and cooking, but each meal is a winner. It's not really a time saver for us. Although everything is there in the bag, the receipts are fairly complicated and lengthy after a tiring day of work. We have moved it to the weekends as a fun activity to do together and we make simpler meals during the week. Would recommend if you are looking to expand your cooking inspirations and make meal times exciting with delicious new recipes. Its not necessarily an easy quick fix for dinner time.
I enjoyed the 10 or so boxes I ordered from hello fresh but frequently received unordered boxes. Their website automatically orders boxes on a weekly basis, it's up to you to cancel them. I found that even after cancelling them, the company still sent the box and charged for it. Be wary of this company.
If I could rate Hello Fresh a zero I would. They took money almost a hundred dollars out of my account without my knowledge. Customer service is a joke. They can't help you. The food is not that good. The food was not that fresh in the past. You are pretty much stuck with whatever they send you. Be aware if you activate your membership big mistake. They will take money out of your account immediately. Please throw those coupons away and block their email. Don't be sorry like I am. RUN!
I agree, it's not what it was pre-Covid, but nothing is, when no one wants to work. I still love the meals. AND they have taught me some cooking lessons. Nice to come home from a long day at the hospital and the dinner plan is made-- that is not stopping at the fast food place. I tend to add even more veggies and plan my shopping list around the menu. I Choose my meals knowing "lettuce greens" are not going to travel well when it's hot in AZ from NY. I have NEVER had a billing issue. Delivery is 98% on time-- even when I moved from a large town in VA to a tiny town in AZ. I still post my meals on line! I still think, for the money, it's a good option for healthier food if YOU choose correctly. I don't like their rolls/bread though--so I don't order those--we should avoid processed carbs anyways!

We have been having problems with hello fresh deliveries. They promised to refund us $78. It has been over three months and they don't respond to calls or emails. We have decided to cancel our weekly meals from them. Maybe they will call us to find out why

I got bad meat and cancelled my subscription. The cancellation didn't go through because they charged me a month later for food I didn't want and can't eat due to dietary restrictions. The order isn't due for another 5 days and they can't even cancel it. What a badly run operation. Amazon can cancel orders anytime before they've been shipped. WTH. They will only give me 50% back. So they're getting $40 of my money for food I can't eat and don't want.

I've had a subscription off and on for over a year now. I love that you can "pause" weeks so that you're not being sent food that you won't use. Very easy recipes that our family enjoys. My son also really enjoys picking out meals for the week.
So, terrible experience and very unorganised company, customer service don't listen to what you are saying. First issue was being charged for a premium meal when it wasn't a premium meal, there were also ingredients missing. Then my second box, there is no point paying £5 for delivery between a certain time because its down to the delivery people (yodel) not hello fresh so the box was 3 hours late. I'd already cancelled my subscription by this point because wasn't worth the stress, when I asked for my delivery charge refunded they credited to my account which re activated the subscription and almost charged me for the week after. Then when the box did arrive it was for a different person, so applied for a full refund and again they tried to give me credit, shows again they were not listening to me. After all that hassle they said they would refund £35 and only sent me £18. So don't waste your life and your money on this company please!

The meals are small and the quality is not always great. Our most recent chicken meal, for 4 people, had two chicken packets, one of which was very, very rubbery.
Also, the price has been going up significantly since we started.
Finally, if you are on a diet with some restrictions, there's very little you can do to avoid something like salt. The overall meal has a nutritional content label, but none of the individual ingredients do.
For example, suppose you want to avoid salt. The label tells you how much sodium is in a serving, but if the instructions tell you to add a certain amount of salt, and you decide to omit that, you have no way of knowing how much sodium the altered recipe will have.
After complaining about the rubbery chicken, we were given a $15 credit on our next meal. But I'm not sure there will be a next meal...
I was gifted a Hello Fresh package and found it to be brilliant. I'm not much of a cook and rarely have the ingredients to make special things. Hello fresh is great for someone like me who wants to eat well but can't cook or plan very well. Would 100% recommend.
Order No. *******387 as a gift to. Kalamazoo address was placed 12/6/22 and was to be delivered 12/9/22. My notice said delayed. How is this food going to be fresh since it's the weekend and still not delivered. I should have checked the reviews of this company before ordering as there were very few good ones. If this order gets delivered it better be safe.

I was scanning meals to see if I wanted a Hello Fresh subscription. I set up an account and I was encouraged until I tried to substitute two of the chosen meals. The system told me that it was having trouble saving my meals and to try again later. Within a few minutes I receive an email stating that my meal delivery order would be arriving in several days. What order? I didn't put any order in, didn't enter PayPal info and yet I was charged. I was hung up on by the first customer service rep when I accused her of working for a company that manages to steal money without my authorization. A second rep managed to cancel my subscription but not my order saying that meals are billed five days before delivery so nothing can be cancelled. Yet, the website says that meals can be cancelled within four days. She says five, so there is more dishonesty from this company posted publicly yet. They are obviously proud of stealing money. I'll now be stuck with $89 worth of food I didn't order.
