Hulu is a fantastic streaming service with a diverse range of content, including current TV shows, classic movies, and original programming. The ability to watch new episodes of my favorite shows shortly after they air is a major plus. The ad-supported tier offers great value, although I wish there were fewer commercials during playback

I've tried most of the movie sites and Hulu is by far the absolute worst. The website itself is slow and difficult to navigate. Their disabling of right-click makes it even worse. Movies stop at random places to load, ruining the continuity of the movie. And trying to skip ahead or back stops the movie outright for anywhere from several seconds to half a minute. You can't even pause a movie where you want because of the delay. Subtitles are out of sync with video on most movies. You have to pay to watch the movies, and then pay again if you want to watch them without ads. Even the free bootleg movie sites work better than Hulu. I tried their free trial so at least this poor experience did not cost me anything.

When you have ads and you want to rewind after you've watched a two minute long ad goes completely back. It makes you watch the ad again. It is ridiculous.

To whom it may concern,

I am person who is hard of hearing and requires subtitles. I am 27 and female. I turn up the sound really loud to hear what I can; I still leave on the subtitles so I can read along. I own my own home so this is possible for me. The subtitles could use improvement. With editing or possibly improved text choice the actual message of the shows could be properly conveyed. The subtitles at this point are beyond disappointing. They have no conveyance of what the shows I watch actually are saying; sparse and confusing are a generosity of definition. If I was deaf fully I would be completely lost to the true plot point, story point, THE point of the show. Examples of shows I watch where subtitles could be improved are; Bob's Burgers, The Bachelorette/Bachelor, The Masked Singer, Brooklyn 99, Stumptown ect. I am an avid customer and consumer so please advise and evolve to make your product more accessible for everyone.

NOPE... VERY TERRIBLE... FIND ANOTHER JOB... REALLY? IWENT FOR THE TRIAL OFFER AND W2AS SIGNED OFF AFTER EVERY COMMERCIAL... I CAN WATCH NETFLIX, AMAZON NO PROBLEM... GUESS HULU-HOOP JUST GOT SPANKED AND ELIMINATED

Every single time the Kyleena ad comes up, it stops and we have to restart the entire program. This has happened around 5x and it's beyond annoying. We're rethinking our subscription with Hulu

Worst app ever! Only app that has to buffer every 30 seconds. Yes internet connection is fine, yes all other apps don't have issues.
YEET fix your shiz and get it together already!

Without a doubt, worst company I've dealt with. Terrible quality. Continuously buffers. Video plays for 30 seconds and the goes into "buffering" stage for up to 2 mins. Very frustrating, people tend to watch tv to kick back, relax, and unwind... the buffering just pisses me off, not relaxing at all. So I decided to write Hulu, I even recorded a video of the excessive buffering, Hulu (Fabiola R.) wrote back apologizing for AD LENGTH and explained the business model and why ads are included?! I never even mentioned the word "ad" I typically don't leave negative reviews because I feel it is only fair to address the company director lay instead of publically calling them out, However, there is nothing more frustrating than spending the time to directly address a company with an email (not nearly as long as this review lol) and they can't even spend a minute to read it. It is embarrassing. I then responded to Fabiola R by saying I didn't complain about the ads and you didn't read my email, then asked her to call me to set up cancellation of my service. She says "sorry we don't make outbound calls". I couldn't believe this, she didn't even respond to anything else I said. I also can't stand when companies say they can't make outbound calls. Seriously? Has anyone ever been in an office that has no phone anywhere? You just don't care! Your too busy buffering. No surprise that no one from Hulu has responded to this review page. Do not get Hulu! Even the free 7 days is a joke. DONT DO IT!

We have the highest internet speed available, but Hulu acts like we're using a 2400 baud modem. Whether watching live or on demand, the image constantly freezes, skips back five minutes or just stops and returns to the Firestick's Home screen. NO OTHER STREAMING SERVICE WE HAVE DOES THIS. IT'S HULU! The only reason we keep it is because I can't find another service that offers the channel line up we want and I'm not going to get sucked into Spectrum's nightmare bundling scheme. If you can find a streaming service that meets your needs, avoid Hulu like Covid!

I've been using Hulu Live for about 1.5 years. Originally it didn't work consistently with live broadcasts. It worked fairly well but many live streams were interrupted due to Hulu problems - I repeatedly called customer service. Back then, customer service answered the phone quickly and tried to help. It was definitely beta. Currently, service is very different. I've missed baseball games (World Series), football games, and other live coverage due to Hulu's streaming technical problems. And service is becoming worse every week. Customer service doesn't answer calls or resolve issues - they blame ESPN, CNBC, cnn, fox, etc for their problems. But I pay them, not their suppliers. And now they're increasing monthly charges to $69 for service that isn't working as claimed. I have the NO/adds which means lots of advertisements that you have to watch on the recordings. Many times it didn't record shows; I complained and it wasn't resolved. I live in Houston with excellent download speeds and few interruptions. I'm now going back to cable. It costs more but it's reliable. I might go back to Hulu in a couple of years but they're overmatched at this point.

THIS APP SUCKS IT SHOWED 9 FRICKEN ADS IN A 20 MINUTE SHOW LIKE WTF IM PAYING 8$ FOR BS ADS?

Might as well watch your tv on YouTube for free if you don't give a sh*t about ads.

Only even got this bc Netflix didn't have certain shows but it totally is not worth sitting through ads every 3 minutes with Hulu "plus".
Wtf is the plus supposed to be anyways? An add on to the amount of ads we have to pay for?

Although, you have to pay more to binge watch with no commercials, but its totally worth it! Hulu has ALL of my favs to binge watch such as Grownish, How to Get Away with Murder, Killing Eve, Gordon Ramsey and America's Got Talent, just to name a few. These shows are streaming new seasons RIGHT NOW! Hulu has came a LONG way the past few years. I definitely prefer Hulu over Netflix anyday.

Garbage. Can't watch anything live. Can't even watch moonshiners 2 days after it aired at 11:30 pm. Upload speeds are trash. Use some revenue and upgrade your garbage system.

Don’t use them!

I love Hulu but they charged my card 40.00 for insufficient funds without my acknowledgement. I tried to chat with an agent but I never got a response. I want this resolved immediately!

They stuck, I have had to restart at least 11 times today. Streaming... they NEVER change. I am goi g elsewhere. I have Netflix, but I like watching current TV shows. Hate hulu.

I have been with hulu for maybe 6+ years. When I added Live Tv I started having issues with my account. For some reason HBO max was getting added to my account and they would charge my bank. Everytime I call them they tell me that someone in my household is adding it. Am i that stupid? My kids dont even watch hulu, my sisters cant access it because they are not with me and so that leaves my husband and I. We dont add anything on here we have the same add on every month. But it started with me calling every month complaining about the HBO max add on and then they keep charging my bank. It was month to month then it came to every week. The lady replies its within your household. Hulu does not add anything. Change your password. I am so sick and tired of the bs we were going through. We changed the password still happening then we changed the email and yet this crap is still happening. I am sick and tired of it. So I hung up on her and cancelled my subscription. Ive never had this issue with any other provider. Hulu is the worst company I have ever dealt with.

I just learned that Hulu has been billing me monthly for their service that I stopped using 2 years ago. Hulu customer service told me that they are not required to send me a monthly receipt for every month they have been billing me for the past 2 years. I adamantly requested them to close my account this morning (after i already did 2 years ago) but when i called paypal, paypal said that while Hulu closed my account they did NOT cancel their monthly billing process to me. Hulu was prepared to continue billing me illegally as they have for 2 years! BLATANT ILLEGAL FRAUD! BEWARE!

PRO:
Hulu has some awesome content with a large amount of variety. When it comes to content Hulu beats out the competitors.
CON:
Get ready to pay to watch adds! Hulu has 2 types of subscriptions. One will allow you to access hulu's content BUT STILL FORCES YOU TO WATCH ADDS! While the other one (which is more expensive) will still give you content but it will remove the adds.
I really like Hulu but having to pay extra to get rid of adds when I am already paying to access the content is down right stupid.
I will NOT be recommending this website to friends.

I'm presently paying for my Hulu service' and I'm rating it as POOR' lousy connection' programs stall' constantly have to rebuff' sound goes out continually' now lets get the real problem' I repeated asked for a SUPERVISOR' with an agent named SCARLET' she refused' started to asked what other devices I was using' had" I explained to her repeatedly' I a notebook' I wasn't using' she began drilling insisting I had other devices' I asked for a Supervisor repeatedly' I than asked her to hang up' and she would not disengage the call! WTF" Finally I called back talked someone named Andrew' never quite got what his position was except an #** *$#@$' Lousy service lousy company' should be terminated.

My experience with Hulu was good for about the first year. Then, in October 2015, they charged me twice, upping me from my normal agreed-to rate of $7.99 to $11.99 without even giving me notice or choice in them doing this. Then, at the beginning of December, I go to watch movies and there are ads all over them, and a "Start Your Free Trial" green bar, when I had been on a paid plan sans ads. Then, they effectively locked me out of my own account and tried to blame it on me, at first trying to tell me someone stole my card number (other than them, no!), and then, after many back and forths with them, more recently, after I said, "I've had enough of your chicanery. Please credit me back for December and cancel my account" what did they do? They DEBIT me a further $12, so now they owe me $23.98, and I will likely have to replace my card due to their incredible greed and ignorance, stemming, likely, from a recent attempt to ramp themselves up to compete with Netflix, but which I predict will completely backfire in their faces. Steer clear of these pickpocketing goons and stick with Netflix, or better yet find your favorite movies on Amazon or YouTube or DVD and stay away from these video streaming scam-artists altogether!

Hulu was fine. Then it prompted an update. After the update, it skips and buffers constantly. We're never going to update again. Prices go up and quality goes down

Wish it had better audio adjustment. When it comes to commercials, every time they come on, it blasts out waking you up compared to what you are watching. Hulu plz fix yo sheet

Buffering is almost ALL I get for my money. Will cancel very very soon if this isn't stopped. I have tried all of the 'fixes' by the way

The funds of my hulu card went right down the drain by my few mis-clicks i guess on their website... thank god i didnt use a real credit card... you dont need this stuff. Try plutotv or youtube-free

I subscribed to Hulu+Live TV about a year ago and found the video product excellent. I don't recall any billing or service problems at that time. I just resubscribed to the same product at a monthly cost of $69.99. My credit card was billed $79.34 with no itemization and no apparent explanation. I chatted with one representative and spoke by phone with another and all they could tell me was that "taxes" are added to the base price and the amount of taxes could be different, depending upon my billing location. In my county and state, there is a 7% sales tax. The "taxes" charged to my credit card amounted to 13.36%. I did not obtain either a written or verbal explanation. When I told the customer service representative with whom I spoke on the phone I felt there was an intentional misrepresentation of the monthly cost and that I would deal with that accordingly, she responded: "You will lose" and hung up on me. (I attempted to take screen shots to verify that no itemization of the additional "taxes" charged to my credit card were provide, but was unable to to save the file in. Jpg format.)

Tip for consumers:
Try to verify what you will receive and what you will be required to pay BEFORE providing credit card info.
