You can't even pause a movie where you want because of the delay. Subtitles are out of sync with video on most movies. You have to pay to watch the movies, and then pay again if you want to watch them without ads. Even the free bootleg movie sites work better than Hulu. I tried their free trial so at least this poor experience did not cost me anything.
I do not mind paying for something that has value to me and does not persistently have issues. Hulu has great tv but is plagued by operating issues. It will stop in the middle of a show, it does not track where you left off, it will reset (often), etc. If you want more money you have to offer more value with less aggravation. This will be your third increase in less than 3 years. Fix your issues or say goodbye.

Hulu you just started your countdown and are on borrowed time. I just got the email they are jacking the prices up. I gave netflix two chances and then ditched them. Don't think for one second I won't do the same to you. There is plenty of free t.v. The clock is now ticking.

Freezes up on you here and there. When using gift cards, you still have to pay the full amount via a credit card instead of letting you pay the difference. I used gift cards to pay for Hulu when I first got it. Worked great no problem. Never charged the card. But if you pay say with a $50.00 Hulu gift card, you still like I said have to pay the full amount on your credit card, especially with the prices jacking up. Like come on Hulu, we're not made of money nor does money grow on trees. I switched to YouTube tv and it's much cheaper.
I have several streaming platforms and HULU is the only one that consistently freezes and their system will lock you out if you have power outages. It seems like I'm always on the phone convincing them I haven't moved

Don’t fall for the ad free. Full of ads. Saved $50 a month by dropping that ad free and didn’t notice at all. Horrible tech. Buggy and freezes up all the time.

Hulu offers a decent streaming experience with a good selection of TV shows and movies. But, the frequent ads in the lower tier subscription can be quite disruptive. Additionally, some users might find the content library lacking compared to other streaming services. Occasional buffering issues also detract from the viewing experience. There are better choices out there for those seeking ad-free viewing and a more extensive content selection.
Well unless I start watching older movies or just stupid movies this app is just robbing me of 7.95 a month because none of the movies or shows I want to see is on the app.

We never signed up for Hulu. But they charged our credit card. First month 2$. Second month, 9.95. I called Customer Service, and they had NO RECORD of our account. Told me it is up to us to contact VISA and dispute the charges.
It slows down like you are in time out. It's been doing this for over a week. I guess they got the money but don't want to give the service.
Channel will not change to new channel, keeps going back to original channel. Called and was disconnected 5 times and no call back. Finally talked to someone and hardly spoke english and had no idea what he was doing. Still having the issue and I really dont want to spend my whole day off trying to fix the problem. If it continues I will cancel.
We enjoy binge watching our favorite programs on Hulu, but as of just a couple weeks ago, Hulu stopped automatically playing the next episode. Now you have to manually tell it to play the next episode. They also removed the toggle in settings that tells it to play the next episode.
Hulu was slipping in our opinion, with available programming, but Hulu officially sux now. It's no fun to have to manually play each episode. And if you don't play it quickly, it boots you out.
We're probably going to delete Hulu. I've seen where people have canceled Hulu, but Hulu continues to bill you. Well, we use a bank card, and can block recurring charges, or just shut the card off. Problem solved, Hulu gone! Lol!
I was excited to watch the new "Shogun" series that Hulu had so I signed up for a 30 day trial (Ad-free option) at the end of February. Was able to watch the first episode without issue but when trying to watch the second one I started getting a RUNUNK13 error with a prompt to either reload or watch something else. Tried reloading, got the same error. So I figured I would try watching "The Rookie". Same thing happened, I was able to watch the first episode but once again trying to watch any other episodes result in the RUNUNK13 error. Fast forward to tonight, got home from work, wanted to try and see the previous Shogun episode and the new one that was released tonight and lo and behold my old pal RUNUNK13 Error shows up.
I canceled the free trial. No option to give an exact reason for canceling on Hulu's website so instead I decided I would vent my displeasure here so someone else does not waste time with this janky streaming service.

Would have been nice if there was a link in the error message for ways to contact tech support to see if there was a way to resolve the constant errors. For a streaming service to simply tell a customer to "reload page or watch something else" due to errors on their webpage is unacceptable
I originally subscribed to hulu in Oct of 2022. Cost has gone up 20 buck in a year with no explanation. There is nothing new and exciting, and their live stream sucks $#*!. I dropped my plan down to basic on 11/5/23 and now I can barely start anything without their cute little error code popping up. Funny none of my other streaming services do thus and VERY funny it's happening now, for the first time, after telling them to shove that $85 a month bill.
0 stars but they made me throw them one. They are worse than cable. Can somebody please tell them they are not the only streaming platform? Apparently they didn't get the memo.

Hulu is by far the worse streaming service... their technicians have no clue how to fix anything... I pay for a service that never just streams a show or movie... it's constantly buffering and stopping and even throwing me out the app... it's ridiculous...
The commercial less version costs way too much for the consent they have or should I say lack there of. Most of my favorite shows jumped ship to another platform and there are not enough good Hulu originals to fill the void. Also, if you do go cheap and purchase the version with commercials just know they force you to watch them… the option to make the screen small and browse elsewhere is still there but once you do it plays a few seconds of the video and then disappears. Commercials don't pick back up where they left off at they just restart another 90 seconds of mind numbingly boring ads that make you want to beat you head off of the nearest wall to you. It used to be a good deal with good content but now it's mediocre, across the board, at best!
You can not pay for any of the bundles with a gift card.
Not the Hulu/Disney or the Hulu/Disney/ESPN bundles!
They don't state this anywhere in their ads or on the gift card itself.
If you owe Hulu money and someone tries to help you out, you can't use the gift card to clear or reduce the amount owed.
Seams like they are doing anything they can to get your credit card and personal information.
Watch yourself.
Otherwise I would not have it. I could go into detail, but the one major thing that bothers me is there seems to be more adds than show time. Watch 5 minutes of a show and then you have to watch 90-120 seconds of commercials... And even though they have some content that Netflix doesn't have, this is why most consider Netflix to be better. We don't want to have to pay for a subscription and sit through the same commercials every 5 minutes!
I will not be renewing because I don't see it being work $12 a month...

Have you ever questioned why, after disliking every reality show title, game title, horror title, etc. (substitute your favorite disliked categories here) that Hulu keeps show you new titles in those categories? No analysis.
Have you ever questioned why Hulu continually re-displays titles you've disliked? They don't care. "Got it?"
If Hulu were a person crawling to my front door begging for shelter, I'd give them a blanket and let them sleep on the porch, but not in the house. You can't trust a liar.

Picture freezes 4-6 times per hour, live TV is a joke, trying to add or delete channels to favorites is so complicated even Hulu can't tell you how to do it. Sometimes programs play with no video, no audio or both. Incredibly poor interface for a company that all it does is interface with users' TV.

This is my second request. First one on Hulu Plus apps installer. Please fix! It crashes after 2 seconds of play. If everyone cancel I wonder how fast would the problem be fixed. There are over 300 reviews with the same basic issue. It's not a wifi connection. At this point the rating should be negative *******+ just saying!
Besides a ridiculous amount of ads (that also hang and prevent you from getting back to the episode), there are so many technical issues. After I cancelled my subscription, they didn't even let me continue watching any shows for the remainder of my billing period. I'm disgusted by how terrible the entire service is. Absolutely disappointed!
We switched from Direct TV to Hulu for cost reasons. It takes a bit to adapt to HULU functionality. Clicking around within the site is not smooth, they should work on that. There is what they call a dvr... it; s not. You can record programs but cannot easily start at the beginning... sometimes not at all... NEEDS to be better. We opted for no commercials ($6 per month) Most shows still have commercials... some (very few) have none and some requires and annoying clicking game to skip ads. Will likely drop this. If there is a better way ie dvr, commercials
