“Hulu”

Hulu is a fantastic streaming service with a diverse range of content, including current TV shows, classic movies, and original programming. The ability to watch new episodes of my favorite shows shortly after they air is a major plus. The ad-supported tier offers great value, although I wish there were fewer commercials during playback

“Worst Streaming Channel”

I've tried most of the movie sites and Hulu is by far the absolute worst. The website itself is slow and difficult to navigate. Their disabling of right-click makes it even worse. Movies stop at random places to load, ruining the continuity of the movie. And trying to skip ahead or back stops the movie outright for anywhere from several seconds to half a minute. You can't even pause a movie where you want because of the delay. Subtitles are out of sync with video on most movies. You have to pay to watch the movies, and then pay again if you want to watch them without ads. Even the free bootleg movie sites work better than Hulu. I tried their free trial so at least this poor experience did not cost me anything.

We have Hulu through my partners Spotify account and it is the worst of all the streaming services that we use. Crashes repeatedly - so much to the point that it takes longer just to try and finish an episode. Of Housewives. Most of the time it won't remember what point you were at before the crash so you have to click around on the slider in hopes that it won't crash yet again. Advertisements are regularly louder and higher picture quality than the actual shows.
We know for a fact that it's not our internet speeds that are to blame. My partner works from home and uses a heavy amount of data on the regular so we pay for the most premium speeds offered by Xfinity. Over and over again Hulu is the ONLY streaming/site that has so many issues. Youtube premium, Netflix, and Amazon all work just fine, don't have advertisements, and actually remember what point you paused at in a show/movie.
I'm astounded that people shell over money for such a crap service and still sit through advertisements.

I am finding every review site I can to post my review of Hulu. It is by FAR the worst streaming service in the industry. It constantly buffers (and no, it is not my Internet service or speed). I have contacted them several times to complain. Get the same instructions to delete history, cache, etc. Never works, streaming is still lousy. I have several other streaming services, Netflix, Amazon Prime, as a couple examples. I can sit down, login, and watch uninterrupted shows for hours, but with Hulu, it takes hours to watch one show. A 43 minute episode can take over an hour (if I was a gluten for punishment and actually waited for it to buffer a million times during one episode). I even was recently put on hold from Hulu. I received an email telling me my account was on hold and would be cancelled if I didn't start watching again...?!?!?! WTF, who are they to tell me when and how much I am suppose to watch their crappy service. The insane thing about it is, I had actually logged on every night for a week trying to watch a series. I watched each night as long as I could until it started it's buffering every 30 to 40 seconds and then I would log out. When contacting customer service, they stated that they could plainly see I had been logged in over the past week...
What a joke... WORST of ALL streaming services. Save your time, money and sanity and pay for a real streaming service, basically any service other than Hulu...

I use this website almost every day. The design is very simple and the content is amazing! Free movies and my favorite TV shows with just a few short ad clips, who needs a DVR or cable?

Not having CBS and then they turn around and up their price. I believe that's not a way to do business no wonder their rating is only 2.6 or something like that.

You can't personalize. You can't review really BAD movies. I CURRENTLY enjoy all 3 NETFLIX, HULU & PRIME. You have to ask yourself if you want current stuff, more CURRENT TV Movies (Hulu) or BIGGER movie/TV SERIES Options (Netflix), or just broad overall option but limited with FREE Amazon shipping(Prime). Prime rocks if you order from them a lot plus you can access your blue ray.

Lets get right into it, i dont mind adds at all. What i mind is them only having the last 5 episodes of the most popular series on the app. I get it, partnerships and content owners and all that but REALLY? I pay good money every month for hulu plus and i only get the 5 latest episodes of my favorite shows. Thats not good buisiness. Thats a scam. Im switching over to netflix ASAP. If youre thinking of watching Gotham, or the new flash just buy them. You cant watch the first seasons or even the begining to the second. And shows like archer are waaay behind. Dont wasye your money.

My life matters and so do all people of different colours religion etc how disrespectful to be preached by HULU on whos life are more important STAY OUT OF POLITICS; your add is racist; - the meaning of Racist; a person who shows or feels discrimination or prejudice against people of other races, or who believes that a particular race is superior to another. ALL LIVES MATTER

This guy is snotty and rude, claimed he did not have a supervisor to talk to. Said he could not reset my home ip for live because my internet provider is rural and comes up on their end as a Mobil hotspot even though it is in my home and Hulu works on my tablets and phone while sitting in my living room. I pay over $90.00 per month and he told me I could not watch the live on my tv because of the way the internet comes up. They do have an override button, for this problem but Giovanni would not override as he said he would be setting the "wrong" president. This is after another person two weeks ago fixed it. This is ridiculous and basically a disreputable company since I pay for multiple screens, enhanced dvr, and no commercials. I rarely watch the live part, mostly the streaming portion. They say that fire sticks are supposed to work but mine do not work either. Basically go to one of the other services for your live tv as Hulu does not want your business according to Giovanni who told me he would cancel my account if I did not like it and that he did not have a supervisor I could talk to. Then told me he was ending the call. This guy should be fired as he obviously does not have any skills except how to be nasty.

1. You can choose another streaming source, but if you have a HULU subscription, it takes an act of dark magic to get HULU not to override your choice. HULU is not good enough on it's own to pull the cable plug, limited program choices, 99.5% of which you could watch commercial free on other streaming networks for Free. The reason to have HULU is for handful of shows other streaming networks don't have. The movie choices at HULU is extremely limited compared to Prime and Netflix. I just spent 15 minutes forcing HULU off so I could watch a show in Prime, because that particular show is not free on HULU. DEAR HULU, YOU CHARGE SUBSCRIPTIONS SO STOP CHARGING PER EPISODE OR SEASON FOR MORE THAN HALF YOU LINE UP, then you'll be a streaming service worth the subscription price.

I'm a second time user of Hulu bcuz it reloads every few minutes nonstop. I signed up for Hulu a few yrs ago which then I was having this problem also so I gotten rid of it. It took me 1 hr or longer just to watch a 30 min show. So now I decided to reactivate it again to see if this still happens and still not happy with this. I know it's not the Internet connection bcuz this doesn't happen with Netflix. So... again I'm deactivating this cuz I'm not paying 7.99 for something that I'm not going to watch... if there's something you want to watch on Hulu that's not on Netflix wait til it gets on there or find a different way! Not worth it!

I signed up for the free one week trial and it said your trial will expire on May 15th. So on the 15th I canceled the trial and it said that I was charged the $7.99 fee. I called Hulu, they said they couldn't refund me the money back, so I asked to speak to someone higher up. The supervisor came on the phone and told me no he couldn't refund me the money back. I told him the site was very misleading when it said the trial would expire on the 15th. It didn't say it would charge me on the 15th. Needless to say I will never have Hulu again, I didn't think the site was all that great to begin with. No wonder Netflix is ahead of them. Their customer service stinks. I think they should get new supervisors that know how to give good customer service and the site would be so much better.

Hulu used to be a user friendly app. Easy to navigate, easy to scroll through shows and episodes to find what you wanted to watch. This new update is ridiculously CRAP! It's terrible! I wish I could rate LESS THAN 1 star! If you're watching an episode and want to skip to the next, you can't! They won't let you! This "New Hulu" is all about how pretty they could have made the app. I ABSOLUTELY HATE THIS NEW HULU AND WANT SO MUCH FOR THEM TO CHANGE IT BACK! FOR NOW, I'LL BE WATCHING NETFLIX! BYE HULU!

Hula was supposed to cancel my service but they continued to pull money out of my account at the bank. After talking to the support team on this issue 35 minutes he let me know hulu could not send me a refund because they cant mail a check. I had to close the account because of over drafts, hula kept on pulling out that was not accounted for. I asked the hula person if the company was so big that they could"nt drop a check in in the mail. Hulu has now refused to let me talk to a member of team lead or supervision. This is the worse company for service, I paid my bills, they continued to take money from me and let me know that was all they needed from me. By refusing to pay back what they owed me is really not a good business. I have to wonder how many other folks have had this same experience with them. I even told them I had to close my account because Hulu would not stop withdrawing money from my account. I'm a person living off of a monthly social security check, and they don't care that it caused my account to overdraw. I read the review guidelines, this is not meant to be hateful in any way but I do want to make it clear that higher level of staff refused to speak to me and the guy said thats all we can do for you.

As movie stores, such as Blockbusters and Movie Galleries, are becoming slim to none in existence, many people have resorted to online options to watch movies. Many people prefer the online option to view their movies because it is often times free or cheaper than renting one at a store. Also having to be home or near a tv at the exact time your favorite tv series airs its newest episode is no longer an issue with these web 2.0 tools since they have both movies and tv episodes for their users. This instant availability has definitely been a major pro for users and is probably one of the main reasons movie stores are going out of business.
I found three web 2.0 sites that people can use to watch their favorite tv shows and movies. I took into account the websites' affordability, accessibility, reliability, and more to create my reviews. Hulu's website is very aesthetically pleasing. The website is organized in a logical and concise manner so that the user can find what they are looking for in a minimal amount of time. There are some episodes and movies that Hulu allows you to watch for free by simply signing up and creating a username and password. However a con is that most of the episodes and movies you have to subscribe to HuluPlus in order to watch which contains a small monthly fee of $7.99. A pro for HuluPlus is that once you subscribe to the monthly fee you can watch unlimited movies and episodes. I would definitely recommend this website to someone.

It does seem that HULU specifically set out to make the most annoying changes possible for SUBSCRIBERS... you know, the people that make HULU possible. I am beyond outraged at the inept designs that seem clunky & amateurish at best and at worst, their flashing colors could induce fits. If this continues, I will absolutely drop my subscription; if anyone thinks I'll pay for THIS, they are out of their minds.

Just signed up so I can watch the us open live but Hulu does not have any way for you to stream with a dell computer, Samsung smart tv, only a phone or tablet. They sucker people in claiming you can watch live tv when all you have are phone and tablet options. FALSE ADVERTISING AND YOU WASTED A LOT OF MY TIME. They need to be clear before you sucker people in to signing up. Honestly, how can they claim you can watch live TV, but don't offer a way to stream it on a TV? Explain that... Avoid Hulu, also, it is VERY difficult to get customer support

I have had Hulu for about 6 months and I am looking for a new service. The structure of looking for program is extremely poor. Finding a desire program is difficult. The structure of the commercial breaks is insane. I have watched programs with literally black out as while there was no commercial, there mandatory timing was in effect. I have tried to fast forward BETWEEN the commercials as you can never fast forward through them, only to have the system take me BACK to the PRIOR commercial block. To be honest, I am forced to believe that the programmers at HULU either don't watch their own programing, never try to find any programs on HULU or they just simply brain dead.

I paid TWICE, in two different ways to have commerical free service. Yet, there still are MANY commercials interrupting my service. When asked, they only state "there are only "limited " commercials. WRONG. There needs to be ZERO if I am paying for ZERO!

Too many ads its RIDICULOUS! But that's not the worst, the day after the free trial week was over I get an email stating the charge for the month which btw the only reason I let that happened was because I had completely forgot about having it, honestly I stopped watching it the by the second day I must say, and it was right there and then that I immediately logged into my account to cancel, I didn't want the same mistake again and be charge the following month (not for something that's full of ads.) So I did and it said that I still had one whole month since they had already and just charged me for it, it was all complete b. S. my husband (unlike me not minding the ads) tried watching a movie and it didn't let him nor tv shows, NOTHING AT ALL. It blocked everything! WHAT A SCAM!

I like Hulu but it seems they must have a contract with ABC or something. There is almost every ABC network show but very few if any NBC or CBS. They used to play Nashville on the CMT network but now that that season has ended, nothing has replaced it. As for the movies, I go to VUDU, which has a ton of very good movies for free. Yes, I'm considering dropping it if they don't pick up something other than ABC
