“Hulu”

Hulu is a fantastic streaming service with a diverse range of content, including current TV shows, classic movies, and original programming. The ability to watch new episodes of my favorite shows shortly after they air is a major plus. The ad-supported tier offers great value, although I wish there were fewer commercials during playback

“Worst Streaming Channel”

I've tried most of the movie sites and Hulu is by far the absolute worst. The website itself is slow and difficult to navigate. Their disabling of right-click makes it even worse. Movies stop at random places to load, ruining the continuity of the movie. And trying to skip ahead or back stops the movie outright for anywhere from several seconds to half a minute. You can't even pause a movie where you want because of the delay. Subtitles are out of sync with video on most movies. You have to pay to watch the movies, and then pay again if you want to watch them without ads. Even the free bootleg movie sites work better than Hulu. I tried their free trial so at least this poor experience did not cost me anything.

Ive had regular Hulu for years- dropped cable a long time ago and got Hulu live: I agree with all these posts-its horrible! We wanted it for our live local channels-right. Is its the only service available in our area to offer and here we are trying to watch the patriots game and once againthe channel service is totally and completely out! Plus, you cannot get ahold of customer service because it seems they are unavailable as well. Absolutely rediculous! As soon as direct tv offers local tv in our area on their new streaming service we are canceling Hulu and going to them, so disappointed!

I used to love the autoplay feature which would automatically play the next episode of your show for you. They changed the autoplay to just play any random show they've "suggested" for you after your current episode ends and you have to manually go back to the show you wanted to watch. It drives me insane. Absolutely defeats the purpose of autoplay. I use hulu to catch up on shows I've missed and have to turn autoplay off if I missed more than 1 episode. I need the background noise of the tv to fall asleep and turn on a familiar show to fall asleep to. I am constantly awoken to strange noises and voices to realize some weird show that I hate is on instead of the show I wanted on. If they don't change this back, I will be canceling my subscription.

I use to see movie full screen, now it has black bars on top and bottom. Now can't use my earbuds to pause like I use to. I really don't know why they changed it. The way they had it was better than it is now. I truly don't recommend it for iPads. Hope they fix this junk.

I pay 80 + dollars a month for what Hulu terms "ad free." Unfortunately, it is anything but. Yes, if you are able to record a show, you might (and I stress, might) be able to FF past the commercials, but if you simply select a show they have available, they load it up with ads even if it's a show like Black Sails, which aired on Starz without commercials. Even their own produced shows like The Handmaid's Tale, they fill with commercial breaks. I understand that Hulu cannot control what is broadcast on the commercial stations (NBC, CBS, ABC, etc) but you would think if they are selling a service that they term ad-free, that they would take every opportunity to keep their customers from having to watch commercials. Outside of that MAJOR flaw, I would be remiss if I didn't say that their service has been reliable for the most part. The picture is of good quality and the DVR service works well 90% of the time. I really just have the one complaint against them, but it is a deal breaker.

I have the the fastest speeds of internet in my area. Everything, (EVERYTHING) works at perfect speed except Hulu. Even Crunchyroll. CRUNCHYROLL! We all hate Crunchyroll! Hulu skips, jumps, loads, buffers, and then the Superbowl. Everybody i can find i turn them away from Hulu I wouldn't wish this on my worse enemy and hope the company actually goes out of business. Do not submit yourself to this crap cuz once it gets on your shoe its hard to get it off.

I pay to "watch commercials on HULU" to the tune of every 6 minutes, there are a bank of 3 "ads". After the "ads" play, there is a black screen for about 15-45 seconds, which is pretty uncomfortable waiting for "something to play". When it DOES come back to the programming, it's been "cut off" and again, inconsistent.

I was watching "The 100" on Netflix, and saw the full two seasons, then came here to HULU which is ONLY playing episode 10 and above, which makes NO sense whatsoever.

The UI (User Interface) is also a MESS: It's sloppy and unorganized, making searching more difficult than need be. Searching for an entire series can be a bunch of "clips mixed in with full episodes". HULU, get your act together!

I paided $75.63 a month for Hulu. I never watched Disney or ESPN but was forced to take them as part of the bundle. This price does not include no ads but, does include live TV. I finally unsubscribed and put my ROKU app to work.
I found Apple TV, Paramount+, and Peacock. All my local network channels have free apps, so I get local news. The major networks all free have apps as well, so I get network news too. (CNN, USA, CW...)
I admit I am not a live TV watcher, so this works for me. I get all the network shows and news I always watched for $50+ a month less! That includes cost for AppleTV, Peacock and Paramount+, with very few or no ads!
I'm 70 and retired. That $600 a year comes in handy! If I can do it, anyone can.
It is just not Hulu, it is Sling, and YouTube TV too. All over priced!

I checked my credit card and sure as s*^t they're still ripping me off worse than AOL ever did and I can't do a dam thing about it. Piss on you HULU I hope you rot in hell I'm a Disabled American Veteran and my disability check is direct deposited on this card so once you get the VA comfortable and working you try to limit changes. So the small smout they steal from each month isn't worth disturbing the VA... yet...

So a few years back I had Hulu and paid to not have commercials. Guess what, I still had commercials, still have no idea what I was paying extra for. I ended up canceling it. Few years later, got married and my wife got Hulu. Paid for the live TV and whatnot. I ended up paying for Hulu again and agreed to pay the extra for no commercials. Well, there's still commercials. Volume is freakin ridiculous too. We have to mute the TV literally every time so we don't have to keep turning the TV down. It's ridiculous. Get cable, Hulu is not worth it

This service has more commercials than any free site I have used, AND THEN YOU GET A BILL! It is mind boggling how many ads you will watch. If you get lucky and it does not buffer, and you have not pressed any, and I mean any buttons, you may get to watch your program in double its runtime. Keep in mind this is only under PERFECT circumstances, on average it will take far longer. If you like paying to watch ads that Hulu is already being paid to air, then you have found your streaming service. Everyone else, RUN! And please do not give them your credit card #, you'll be sorry.

I am utterly exhausted with the agenda Hulu tries to push on its viewers. I started to watch a Hulu original series today called The First. I had gotten to the 3rd episode and was liking the show this far then boom a lesbian couple has to be in the show. Or particularly scen that is thown in to trailer to the LGBT community. I'm tired of this. I can't watch anything anymore now a day with out liberal progressive agendas being forced in my media and entertainment. The show is about sify space exploration to mars. What on earth is the point of putting pro LGBT scene in this show. I'm done with Hulu and they won't get another dime from me. I refuse to be forced to accept there agendas.

I have never had so many random issues with any site, like I have hulu. Seriously, the ads are the most annoying of all, but not just the ads bother me. I will legit sign on, correct gmail and password and it will pop up like it signed on (My boyfriends name and mine pop up) but as soon as it pops up and I click on a name, BAM! The screen goes back to the log in. I had this issue before and had to have hulu fix the issue. All of a sudden its happening again and again. I am done. I had Netflix before Hulu and never had any problems at all. I was very dissappointed and surely Hulu needs to get rid of their ads and fix their issues, or we are all just gonna run back to Netflix... smh

Service is horrible, at least once a day I get an error message that reads "Having trouble with this program" and cuts out, usually my local sports teams, so what happens is I miss at least 3 out of five weekly games that I got this service to watch. DO NOT WASTE your money on Hulu this is a terrible provider... period

Hulu is great if you are just looking to watch shows on Demand. But as far as live sporting events (which is the only reason I got Hulu because Netflix doesn't offer live TV) The games always seem to lag. I am a huge soccer fan and I am trying to watch a game on FS1 but I keep getting Playback Failure. Why am I paying $54 a month for this again? If I am paying that kind of money, there shouldn't be any lag or failure to play anything. I am currently watching this game elsewhere and the stream says FS1, so if that stream is working for FS1 then I don't understand why Hulu is having trouble playing it. Would be 5 star otherwise..

Hulu has not been working correctly to begin with and now somehow all my information is no longer attached to my account and it looks as if I cancelled my service, which I did not do, along with the fact that I also can not use the gift card I got as a Christmas gift. When I tried to chat with Hulu to fix this problem my wait time went from 1 minute to 30 minutes. Good thing I have Amazon Prime and Netflix. I will NEVER use Hulu again!

You pay $8.00 a month and they still make you watch commercials! What's the point when you have on demand? Netflix doesn't make you watch commercials. Hulu is greedy. If it wasn't for commercials it wouldn't be bad.

I love Hulu A lot! And people that are posting bad reviews are the same one that is not making any sense. And a funny thing happened to me using Hulu. One of my Favorite shows said "exp_" and I wasn't freaking out until I keep seeing it every day. So I searched " what does it mean when a show says expire next to it" and it said that means they are taking the showdown. I was so sad. And I didn't finish all the episodes but I really watch all the episodes as soon as I read the Hulu expire thing. And yesterday the "exp disappeared";-;

I love their autoplay because it works like it should...with binge watching in mind. I also love their original programming (The Bear). However, it simply cannot make up for subpar Live Guide, the constant "we cannot play that right now", the confusing mess of the LIVE GUIDE design...it's so beyond logical I have to wonder who in the world is programming this $#*! show and is there ANY user testing before the slap it on the app? So POOR I simply can't take it anymore. Going back to YouTube Tv.

Tip for consumers:
They do NOT offer a trial and I can only imagine this is because you would never sign up. At least they get your first $76.

I think it is very misleading that we pay for the no commercial plan and yet STILL get advertisements! When I called about it because it doesn't make sense to me to pay extra for no commercials and to still have a ton of advertisements the customer service rep was quite irritating to deal with, and just informed me that we have to pay an Additional $15 to not have commercials?

HULU cuts out and reboots whether your watching a TV show a movie or the Super Bowl. We wouldn't recommend purchasing HULU unless you like constant interruptions. It's definitely not worth the money. The only time your not interrupted is during the commercials.

As someone who has cut the cable and now rely on Hulu, Amazon Prime, Netflix, HBOGo, and CBS All Access, I thought I should review them. I give 4 stars because I find myself watching Hulu more than the rest. It was worth it to me to spring for the no commercial version. If that wasn't extra, I'd give 5 stars. The UI is kind of lame, but the content is current and commercial free.
