Hi, we are from Bibaar, a vendor to Indianroots.com.
After our event was over at their website, we asked them to return our collection. When we received it, we found 2 pieces worth Rs. 1400/- each missing from it. When we enquired about it and also told them to compare the number of products in "vendor product sheet" & the invoice that they have sent us; then they told us that they have searched the whole warehouse but couldn't find it.
How easily can they say like that?
We had sent the collection to you thinking yours is a reputed website and there won't be any such mismanagement. Each garment was priced at Rs. 1400/- each. So a sale of Rs. 2800/- would have meant something to us. And it's not even about the money. How could you be so careless and lose a vendor's products? I wonder how would u fulfill a customer's need in such a case...
And we have sent our garments to many reputed websites. But when it was their turn for return, they returned each and every unsold product back safely. So, we obviously expected the same from you. It's the first time that we have encountered a case of missing pieces
Please either find our missing pieces or provide compensation for the same.

Today I received my product from Indiaroots after 6 (SIX) months... yes MONTHS and not days and weeks and that too an INCORRECT product that I was highlighting to their customer support to get corrected.
They always give templatised answers, pretend that they care and will do something and they ABSOLUTELY FAIL TO ACT.
I am a regular online shopper and the experience with indianroots is the WORST. Dont even go to this site, they are 'FRAUD'

I have booked my order on 29th July.
After 17days as per given delivery time they replied it will take a week, after a week replied one more week, till now they are just delaying.
NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY FOR ORDER CLOTHES ONLINE... TOOK MORE THAN 90 DAYS TO COMPLETE MY ORDER AND THEN ALSO DID NOT SHIP THEM. They 'supposedly' ship international, but their website requires you to have an India phone number?!?!?! WTF!
Then, when you fill out all you info for the order, their staff is too stupid to differentiate between your BILL TO / SHIP TO addresses. So, they just choose the Bill To and send your package to wrong $#*!ing continent!
When you complain coz you see the package has the wrong address on it, you contact them to correct it before the package is out, they are too cheap to pay the courier to change the address!
They wait until that package get posted, returned to them, THEN they reship it to the correct address?!
WHERE IS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IN ALL THIS?

I have been buying sarees for myself and for gifts online for over 6 years from big names, small weavers from remote places and even government shops like Apco and Mrignayani, at least 60 sarees if not more. And I have never had any trouble at all so far, people delivered what they promised. If they didnt they took full responsibility to correct the situation.
This is my first time from Indian roots. I always found their products exclusive but expensive, just like Exotic India (who by the way are darlings, was a pleasure doing business with them), so reluctant to buy until I fell in love with one of their sarees, a tie-dyed kora silk saree, and ordered it. Mind you, not on discount but full price.
They said 14 business days initially, then they said saree came but was returned to the 'brand' since it was found defective by their QA department, so can I please wait for some more time. After another 3 weeks I finally receive my saree which measures just 4.5 metres! I have bought over 60 sarees online vis internet, no ne has cheated me like this, most of the sarees were 5.5 metres apart from blouse, a few 5.3 or 5.4. And Indian Roots say sarees go through most stringent QA.
With Indian roots belonging to NDTV I never doubted their professionalism for a moment.
The last time I received a wrong saree, the seller (a small business) actually had the courier pick up the wrong saree from us at their full expense and sent the correct saree. I just read Indian roots Return policies, they say even if product is defective we have to return at our expense and we also have to pay to fix the defect!
Mistakes happen. I am willing to wait to have the correct product delivered to me. If they settle this amicably by picking up their wrong product and sending in the correct one or issuing a full refund I will be happy enough.

But to the our surprise we got reply from these people that our payment is being delayed due to restructuring and they assured us that in month of march 2017 we will get all our payment. Since then we are getting every week a false assurance and new date from these people and still we haven't got our payment. We are following up with these people still we have no information. Cannot be contacted on phone or via mail.
Please if you are selling on indiaroots stop immediate else you will end up with the same situation and will regret selling on such Fraud Company.

NDTV Ethnic Retail Ltd is fraud and unethical company and I'm sure who so ever is heading this company is the most unethical person as everything is happening right under his nose and he has not done anything to improve the situation. They are still selling products on their portal and making their vendors fool.
I have not ordered yet from IndianRoots, but I don't think I will. Here's why:
I got an offer email citing 100% "cashback". Now, cashback is "cash" back, not some half-worth store credit. Anyway I know it's too good to be true so I checked your T&C. And there's all the catch. Not only do you not offer any "cash" back, not even 10%, you seem to even not offer a proper customer service policy.
From your T&C from the anniversary sale of 100% "cashback", "The amount paid by the customer will be refunded as store credit voucher, minus shipping charges." No cash is given back anywhere, but ok, you're giving away vouchers. So far, not very bad. But then the fun starts.
You also say, "In cases when product is not available or out of stock when the order is placed, the customer will be refunded with store credit of an equivalent amount". Are you kidding me? You're the first eCommerce company where I've seen such atrocious terms. First of all, you don't know your product inventory; that's bad in itself. Second, you just want to take my money and give me some store credit? Why can't you simply refund the cash into my account? It's not my fault you don't have the product I wanted, and I don't want any other product that you carry so give me my money back.
Finally, your returns policies suck. You state: "Indianroots will refund the paid amount only if the the order at delivery is damaged, faulty or if the order is wrong. No refund will be given by Indianroots if the order has been delivered with the color and size as selected by the customer while placing the order." Have you got no idea of how eCommerce works? We can't say for certain that an apparel will fit me unless I try; and often the stated sizes could be misleading. Almost all eCommerce companies offer a free return policy, no questions asked. For all I know, your size XL is smaller than the L sold at my department store, and you don't offer any level of confidence in ordering.
Oh and it gets better."In the event of the error having occurred on the part of Indianroots, the product can be replaced or the amount can be refunded at the sole discretion of Indianroots." Sole discretion? Dude, if you have committed the error, you have no discretion left. Give the money back, and then, offer some goodies because you screwed up the customer's day. At least make an effort to sound a little bit sincere, and not as if you are sitting there to grab whatever money I have to spend because one day I want to wear some ethnic clothes.

We really appreciate your feedback however we would like to clarify point wise to you:
1.) 100% cashback: We consider store credit equivalent to cash and the same can be used by you on any product site vide. Therefore, whatever amount that you will pay for the product purchased during sale time, we will refund equivalent amount to you in terms of store credit.
2.) Incase if product is not available that you originally purchased, we will refund the amount paid by you in your account if the store credit voucher given to you have not been used. Since store credit is equivalent to cash, if incase the voucher is used, then no refund will be done.
3.) We have a size chart which defines small, medium, large, extra large and XXL sizes as per inches for our customer’s assistance. Therefore, referring to that, the size order will be as per your fit. All the size charts are given by brands as per the products that they display. However incase you have ordered a different size than what is delivered, we will accept the return and refund the amount.
4.) We always pray that our customers have an exciting and happy day. However incase due to our mistake, any customer is disappointed, we will go out of way to bring the smile back on customer’s face.
Abhishek, rest assured, when you get the product from us, it will be worth every penny. It will delight you and your loved ones.
Extremely bad Customer care service. I shopped from then on the 28th when the Black Friday sale was going on. I placed two orders one i paid through my card and the other was a COD order. They cancelled my Cod order without any reason. I tried contacting them and when my call got connected Customer care Representative Rajat received my call. I told him my problem and he asked for my order no. And put me on hold for a very long time and then hung up. I tried calling again and again and every time my call got connected and after he realized that it was me he would pretend that he couldnt hear my voice and would hang up. This went on for over 20 times.
I tried emailing them but no response. I even wrote to their Online marketing head Sumanta sengupta but got no reply from him as well.
I got so fed up and tried contacting them again. This time i got connected to customer care Representative Mahesh. I told him my problem and gave him my order number. He said it got cancelled because it couldn't be verified. He said i would have received two calls from a particular number and i might not have answered it. I took the number and checked but i had received no calls whatsoever from that number. They could have verified it from my order for which i had paid through my card but they didn't. When i suggested that he said that it was my opinion but nothing can be done now. If i wanted my order i would have to reorder and pay the entire amount for an order that i had placed when a sale was going on for absolutely no fault of mine.
He told me it was an internal fault and he or anybody else could do nothing to help me. I asked if he could connect me to somebody who would be more accountable he said that i could only speak to him.
Extremely bad experience I've had with them and they just don't seem to help.
And when i tried to post on their FB page they didn't show my posts.
I will begin with an earnest request to who ever is remotely thinking of going anywhere near the buy button on the website of indianroots, " PLEASE DO NOT, I REPEAT(yes, in Arnab Goswami style) PLEASE DO NOT be a sitting duck for these thugs and goons "
Wonder what was more, the high patriotism in my blood stream or the too good to be true sale, that I hit the order button, not once but twice while the Republic day sale was going on their site. Thus began my ordeal with a big name which unfortunately is managed by a team of immature, childish and mentally challenged bunch of so called customer care staff.
Try writing a negative review on any of their social media page /handle, they don't have any option of giving customer feedback on their website. In short they would only publish rave reviews about how good their brand is, if you give negative feedback, they will promptly ban you and block you perhaps from their locality too.
I have paid for two orders on the 25th and 26th of Jan, and since then I am running from pillar to post trying to get updates about my order. NO CANCELLATION whatsoever! Once the money is paid they behave worse than Mafia!
Even a local baniya is more customer-centric than these cheats, They are masters in conning gullible customers and fleecing them of their money before going into hibernation. You can go on and on trying to get updates from their chai adda type customer care, all they would do is give out robotic replies which will confuse you even more.
