I came in here to shout out the IPSY customer service. I have been a loyal IPSY user for 6+ years. The basic glam bag is plenty for me since I like to try items before I buy full size. Throughout the years I have had some problems with items (wrong shade, lost packages, late delivery, etc) and they have compensated those issues promptly and with understanding. Just recently was looking through the app and realized I never got my September package. They quickly replied to my issue and promptly sent me a new package with the same (or similar) items. 10/10 on the customer service!
I joined back up for Ipsy Glam Bag. The price is now a total of $7 more per month and the items were pathetic! I wound up canceling after 2 bags. What a shame that something that I was once so good has gotten disgraceful. A big waste of money!
I would give this company zero starts if I could. They are the worst company ever. I have been buying from them for myself and my daughter for a couple of years. 2 months ago, one of my products was missing from my box. Instead of sending it out to me, they were going to give me a $6 credit. WTF?! The oil that was missing is well over $6. So after 2 months of complaining, they sent me a really crappy cheap eyeshadow which does not match my skin tone. And I mean 1 not a palette of eye shadows. My daughter still has not received her box from last month and no one is responding to my emails. I pay $60 a month for these boxes and I can't even get anyone to respond, nor do they have a phone number. Go figure. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!
I've been a faithful ipsy customer for almost 2 years, I'm not sure if it's just but it's like they went to $#*!! This entire year I have been disappointed every month. And this profile your fill out is apparently pointless... I have never clicked nail polish but i have had a nail polish in the last 3 ipsy bags. Im absolutely ending my subscription & trying other beauty boxes. It's ashame i referred and bragged about this company in the beginning.
My daughter signed up, but it was unclear what she was signing up for. Next thing she knows, she is getting charged $30. I told her it was a hard lesson learned and helped her cancel her account at the start of January. She was just charged again on March 17th. I tried to get a refund, but ISPY only uses bots and I could not reach anyone. I had to dispute the charge on her debit card. I believe this company engages in consumer fraud. Buyer beware!
My first IPSY glam bag didn't seem to take very long to arrive (I ordered it on May 24th and it arrived yesterday, 06/18/20), and it had the full-sized eyeshadow kit as they promised, and five other little makeup and skincare items. All were high-quality items, and if one of the trial-sized items is a lip balm or one eyeshadow, it will end up being a full-sized anyway, because they are already small items to begin with. The colors and ratios I specified in the quizzes meant to customize my items seemed to work! So I give it five out of five stars because IPSY came through on their promises. If it changes, I'll update this rating, but for now they seem legit and quality.
From missing a whole package one month to a bunch of items not being delivered the following month, and now my extra order that I paid for has not arrived. I am out quite a bit of money from ipsy ripping me off. I have canceled subscription which I so far had no problems doing. What a disappointment this experience has been.

Again, based on 'your account we flagged as fraudulent' they keep CANCELLING my orders. Sent countless emails and no answer. Completely disappointed. One year ago they were THE BEST subscription.
Now, you better run
I signed up for Ipsy thinking it would be like any other subscription service. You pay and you get your product. NO - They put you on a wait list with no end date. You can skip the wait list if you use every social media platform in the universe to say that you signed up with Ipsy. If you don't then you can go F*** yourself. Once I discovered their messed up business practice I decided to cancel. To get cancel you have to email their "care" team then wait another 2 DAYS. Garbage. Ipsy is garbage.
This service is horrible. I signed up at the beginning of January and got 'wait listed'. I am currently still wait listed. It has been about 6 weeks now and I've already signed up and received my first box through Birchbox. Step your game up, Ipsy.
I was subscribed to Ipsy for quite some time, and not just 1 box a month, but all 3 options. That's right, I was spending nearly $100 a month through Ipsy. They have a point system where you can get free products. I had redeemed my points for a sample of something I REALLY wanted to try. First month went by- nothing, second month, still nothing. I contacted customer service and at the end of it all, my account was deactivated (not by me and without warning) and none of my redeemed products ever came. Huge thumbs down.

I love receiving my ipsy every month and I have had no problems with billing and if I have any problems they are very responsive.
However, the thing that does bother me about ipsy is that you can only review the products you just received. So if you use something for a little while and find there is something you really don't like about it you can't say anything. It's basically use it once leave a review and that's it. I have been disappointed with many products after a few uses but it had been too late to leave a review.
Everything they sent me in my glam bag was completely wrong and went in direct contradiction to my preferences in my account. They dont care. Threw the whole thing away and cancelled, the products were cheap junk, not worth $75 as they claimed and were wrong for my skin type and tone. They make it super hard to cancel as well, which i think is illegal. Should be reported to the ftc by everyone so they do something about the false advertising and difficulty canceling.

Ipsy sells a good game. However, the products reveal to be not a game well played. Products are cheap and nothing worth keeping(not high end) customer service is obsolete. They kept trying to charge me when I canceled. Products also take to long to arrive. More than 2 weeks.

I accepted the email offer from Ipsy to start receiving glam bags. They billed my credit card immediately, THEN the message on my screen read 'You are now on our waiting list...' They have my money right now. I have no idea how long this "waiting list' is. Oh, they did state that I could jump to the front of the line by giving them access to my Facebook to post to my friends. What a rip off! Are there any class lawsuits against them for this? There certainly should be. What they did was a downright crooked, fraudulent offer. No word... not one stinking word about 'waiting list' before taking payment. No word either about how long this waiting list is before I get what I paid for.
I paid for 2 bags. I received 1 bag but not the other. I have tried for almost a month to email and contact someone but u get no where. I either want my money put back on my card or I want my bag. It's simple. When I sent emails they just kept kicking me out of my account. Haha. Horrible customer service
Do not put your credit card on file with this company because once you take an unsubscribe to the services they will continue to charge your credit card after three times my wife has called or talked to the people on their little robot helpline to cancel the subscription and they continuously charge her card so beware do not use this product do not put your credit card on file with this product

The product was no good so My wife canceled the subscription three different times and they continue charge my wife's credit card for their services that she no longer wants or needs and she's told them this three times but they continue to charge her credit card do not put your credit card on file with this company because you can't get it off of there
I love this subscription. The bags alone are worth it, plus now that I've been doing it over a year (and reviewing what I recieve) the products are all geared perfectly towards me.
The complaints I see here don't make sense to me. So it doesn't arrive on the same day every month... Post isn't clockwork, and I'm not relying on sample products in a way that it needs to be perfectly timed... it's just fun to get!
I have tried 3 times to cancel my subscription at this point and I'm sure I'll have to try more. There is no number for you to call for help with this, there is only a "bot" for you to type a conversation out with -which is frustrating on its own. Anyways, to cancel, they ask you about 4 times if you actually want to cancel before saying that you just need to confirm via email. However, every time I have done this, I haven't gotten an email. I keep checking my email associated with my account and there is never anything from Ipsy. Even after I told the "bot" my situation, there was still no email. And of course, without an email, you cannot cancel, therefore, every month I keep getting charged and sent 5 crappy products from brands I've never heard of with no end it's sight. It is an absolute scam and my bank says the only way to get them to stop is by canceling my card and getting a new one! SUCH an inconvenience it is absolutely ridiculous.
Tip for consumers:
If you’re thinking of getting this, DONT. Youre better off throwing $33 in the trash… at least you won’t have to do it every month with no end in site.
This is the first issue I have had with Ipsy and it's been two years. But it's a frustrating one! I never received my November 2015 Glam Bag. I have email SEVERAL times through their website and have not yet gotten a response. I have called a phone number I found online and they tell me I have to submit an email through the website... really? I have also tried to write something on their Facebook page about it and get no response. What the heck?
This company is COMPLETE SCAM! They will not allow you to cancel your subscription! I tried for 2 weeks. I finally received a confirmation of the cancelation, and they still charged me the next month. The only option is to cancel with your credit card. There's no way to reach an actual person/rep for this company, only reps! What a nightmare! Don't do it. I don't recommend. To add insult to injury, the products are mediocre at best! Not worth the money at all. Stay away!

I ordered a Mac makeup primer about a month ago. I was never given a tracking number or any update on my package other than shipped. I waited for over 2 weeks till I checked again and it said delivered. I never received my package. I wrote customer service and they were anything BUT helpful. They refuse to refund you or do anything other than auto respond. They basically stole 25 dollars from me. I canceled my glam bag and will never be using Ipsy again.
DO not go there with this company! If I could give a zero I would. Simply because they charged me $110 and I didn't authorize it. A year after my first purchase, they automatically renewed. I haven't heard a single word from them in one year and then I see my credit card has a charge on it for $110. I had bought this as a gift for my mom for one year. She told me she didn't like it several months ago but ipsy is so hard to contact that I tried to reach them but couldn't. Even now I'm disputing the charge through my bank because ipsy doesn't have a phone number lol what a joke of a company!
I was so excited when I signed up for Ipsy, i carefully designed my profile and provided all the information required, I even purchased a full-size add-on to be sent with my glam bag. I waited eagerly for my first bag to arrive... it never did. After many attempts at contacting Ipsy's nearly useless customer service, they re-shipped my order. I finally received my bag an entire month later- without the full-size add-on I purchased. (Not to mention my disappointment with the glam bag itself- the products are way smaller than they look online and I expected better quality). Now I'm trying to contact customer service AGAIN to figure out why I paid over $20 for a non-existent add-on. On top of all of this, I just previewed my May glam bag (second month of my subscription) and they're sending me the EXACT same highlighter that was in the April bag. Cool.
Ipsy is a mediocre, misleading company and there's no question I'm canceling my subscription (let's hope I even can).
I really do look forward to my ipsy delivery every month I have gotten a few things that are not my style, lipsticks and a few eye shadows but for the most part it's brought me a ton of things I would never have tried on my own. Plus I love giving the colors that don't work to my friends
I bought the 12$ a month bag and they gave me a tracking number. After a week of no bag I checked it, and it was not a good tracking number. Went on ipsy, and it shows they took $12 out again for September, but no previous orders. So you have taken 2 months of payments and I have received nothing! And no customer service to talk to. Will have to dispute this garbage company with ny credit card and get my money back. Crooks!
I have received 8 bags. I only use one product on a regular basis. It's as if IPSY hasn't taken my profile or my reviews seriously. Pale and matte lip colour (I want bold and I HATE matte!) and boring eye shadow/liners, as well. Still, I receive the same boring products. I would NEVER refer a friend.
Tip for consumers:
Customer satisfaction is not a priority for Ipsy.

I've tried many. However, "Stuck On You" eye primer is the only product that I use.
