I came in here to shout out the IPSY customer service. I have been a loyal IPSY user for 6+ years. The basic glam bag is plenty for me since I like to try items before I buy full size. Throughout the years I have had some problems with items (wrong shade, lost packages, late delivery, etc) and they have compensated those issues promptly and with understanding. Just recently was looking through the app and realized I never got my September package. They quickly replied to my issue and promptly sent me a new package with the same (or similar) items. 10/10 on the customer service!
I joined back up for Ipsy Glam Bag. The price is now a total of $7 more per month and the items were pathetic! I wound up canceling after 2 bags. What a shame that something that I was once so good has gotten disgraceful. A big waste of money!
I attempted to cancel my subscription after being placed on the wait list. Prior to entering your payment information, there is nothing about a wait list on any of their pages. Cancelling is easier said than done. There is no phone number for ipsy, nor can you just email them. You can only send them a form through their own contact page, which is sketchy. I received no reply from them to my cancellation request, and 2 weeks later they charged my card. I attempted contact again and received no reply after 3 days. So, I contacted the BBB and received a reply that day. They said they would refund me in "5-7" business days. It has been 8 and they have not refunded me, I have nothing pending at my bank from them, and they are again not answering me.
Recently signed up and have been put on a waiting list, which is not that big of a deal. The problem I have is the fact that they tell you if you like them on social media they will curry favor to you and move you up the waitlist. How can you like something you've never received? Spoke with my uncle, who is an attorney, and he states that's illegal. Beware consumer!
I will tell all of you how to cancel. It worked for me. Threaten them with putting bad reviews all over social media and reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. They canceled and refunded me my $10 pronto. It works!
I was gifted a glam bag for three months, and at first I really liked the bag. It came with just enough to try and was fun getting makeup in the mail. The second bag was late, and had almost identical items to what I received in my first bag. A blush, highlighter, eyeliner shadow and a few others. I was extremely disappointed by the third bag as it was an exact copy, aside from branding as the others. In all three bags, i received eyeliner, a dark brownish blush, a highlighter sample, a bronze colored shadow. It was super disappointing to get the same items three months in a row. Not to mention in the same shades. Also, I personally don't need so many makeup bags. I am glad it was inexpensive, but I would not purchase in future.
I don't understand why people gave such negative reviews, what did you expect? Sure the products aren't full sized, and not all something I would buy, but that's the point! If you're looking for something specific to what you want with full sized samples of well known brands, then no, this is not for you. Just go to the store and buy your own stuff then. The products I got were nice and useful, not any brands that I'm familiar with, but still good. Definitely worth $10. Luckily my bag and products came on time and weren't damaged in any way. I gave 3 stars because it came on time with all 5 products in good shape, but the products weren't that great for me. They do change every month though so maybe next month I'll get some better ones.
I have been a long time subscriber to Ipsy. There have been a few times that I had some broken items and each time I contact Customer Service they are very helpful and send out replacements right away. I received a broken eyeshadow and they ended up replacing my entire bag.
My first month was september and i absolutely loved my glam bag! Im hooked! They have this wonderful moisturizer that is so good on my skin. The little glam bag is adorable and reusable for makeup storage, i just received an email saying my glam bag is on its way and i am beyond excited
Because of a glitch in ipsy's cancellation process, I was forced to pay for one more subscription on my account. Along with the fact that I received a damaged product twice from this company, I will not subscribe to them again. I will be logging my complaint with the BBB!
Ipsy is quick and sure to take your money on the first of the month then every single month they claim they ship your package and hit the ship button usually by the middle or the end of the month and that package never arrives and it happens every single month. When writing to customer service if they even bother to respond at all they give you the same lies over and over stating the package was shipped & don't worry about it it'll get there even though it's usually 15-20 days since it says it was shipped. When you then again right to customer service complaining that you never got the package then they admit they never shipped it and then conveniently every product is sold out. Save yourself a lot of stress and money and waste of time because they are worthless and a complete scam
Tip for consumers:
dont waste your time or money , it isnt worth the stress

none i never received my order
Ipsy started either not shipping or losing my packages. A couple of orders they lost they refunded. My last order never came they know it didn't they can track packages. They gave a partial refund! A partial refund for an order they know I didn't receive! I contacted them one of their employees replied with and I quote ( just saying) the term is basically being a smart mouth. Their customer service is terrible. They seem to think one customer doesn't matter. I loved my boxes I spent over 500$ a month with them. Be careful with ipsy!
Tried to cancel which requires that you respond to a cancellation email. The email was never sent. Next month I get billed again. Try to cancel again and the system says to wait for the cancellation email and it never came. Flash forward, 6 months and 10 emails later and I still can't get them to stop sending me stuff. This is crazy.
Think twice before you subscribe to IPSY. Once you are in, hard to get out. Before you find out how to unsubscribe, a year passed charged your card about $300. Shame on you IPSY. If there is no trick why can't anyone simply unsubscribe? They are a RIP-OFF. I was charge $12.93 for FREE gifts each month that I got in the mail for a year. That's $155 before I noticed being charged for FREE gifts. I want my money back before report them to supreme court.
Tip for consumers:
IPSY is pure rip-off.

I dont understand this whole bag situation when we pay for it we should get the bag they say you're suppose to get so now bc I changed my payment method the day after it was due im not getting the bag for Oct im getting a random bag they choose... I loved the ipsy bags till they started doing this so this will be my last month I will be cancelling well i guess if it will let me everyone seems to have trouble cancelling.
So, they send me an email, guess because I looked into them and have other subscription boxes. To skip their wait list. Ok, I took the bait and have them my credit card. And THEN they said on 4 easy steps I skip the wait list! Scammers! They want me to faacebook them sell out everyone on every social media. Too bad I was looking forward to see what they had! Now I am one kissed consumer who needs to cancel a credit card!
I've tried it twice. I canceled the first time with no issues. They purchased Boxy charm and charged me three times for two months. I ended up having to go to my bank and possibly canceling my debit card
Ipsy send me an email, responding to my letter asking them about their position on cosmetic animal testing and cruelty free products, saying that some of their products are not cruelty free.
In conclusion Ipsy supports animal cruelty for cosmetic use.
Horrible service and basically no way to contact them. Kept billing me without notice and wouldn't answer any of my emails. So angry and disappointed with this company I have no idea what to do. I suscribed for a year but I decided to cancel because I didn't need anymore random products and things started to get pretty repetitive. They bill me again for the next year, $118 with out any notice and will not refund me. Wth am I supposed to do with another years worth of random nail polish and lotion? Horrible service and they do not care about their customers at all
Cheap tiny tiny tiny products sent. When you cancel they make you jump through hoops with emails and links and bots! If you click on the wrong one you're canceled subscription becomes active again and If you don't click on the confirmation of cancellation link sent your email later they won't actually cancel. It's a constant circle with these people. Total scam! Buyer beware!
Tip for consumers:

Be careful...trying to cancel your membership is hell. I canceled and I am still being charged monthly and getting bags that I dont want. They make it really difficult to cancel the membership. It is not a easy 1,2,3 step. So once you are in, hard to get out.
Money Wasted! There are other better beauty subscription services with high quality and healthy skin & bodycare products.
I tried it for 6 months. The first 3 month I received the same kind of items and got allergic to a few of the products. I gave most of the items I received to friends since I couldn't use them. I don't think the staff/worker bees over at ipsy read your profile. I wanted more natural products and expressed to them I have skin sensitivity so they said they would try but did not promise to accommodate since there are so many other subscribers. Yah, pretty much they don't really care about your needs! They only care about taking your money. Of the 6 months, only 4 items were worthy of use. I decided to cancel after continued disappointments in their lack of natural products to include in my bag. Best thing I ever did was cancelling and got my very slow refund after 3 weeks. I think I still have some of their crappy products in the draw - let me know if you want them.
I cancelled my membership, so for the last five months they quit sending the bag, but still charging me. I didn't notice until recently they were still charging me. I have gone around in circles with them to refund me. But nothing has happened. I would love to sue them
I have no real issues with this site and their products. I just don't know if the products justify the price though. Some of the items are just so-so for the price. My neighbor ended up subscribing and checked off different choices than I had for my Ipsy bag. So when the bag came in a couple of months ago, we both did an "unveiling" together to see what we got and to swap, if inclined. Although her choices on her profile were very different than mine (she opted for more skin preserving and maintenance for older skin items), We almost had identical bags and that seemed to be the trend for the next several months. On average, it appeared that her bag would have up to two different items than mine, and they weren't necessarily in line with aging skin. I think that the profile quiz is more of an exercise and not so much an effort to tailor items to individual needs. I will continue for a bit longer, but because of the COVID finance issues, I will probably cancel that subscription as well.
I am happy with Ipsy, I love to see the new bag and a few items I have received I will start buying. So far only 1 lip color wasn't my style. I have had this subscription for 4 months. If I am not into a product I pass it on to my daughter to try out.
