I came in here to shout out the IPSY customer service. I have been a loyal IPSY user for 6+ years. The basic glam bag is plenty for me since I like to try items before I buy full size. Throughout the years I have had some problems with items (wrong shade, lost packages, late delivery, etc) and they have compensated those issues promptly and with understanding. Just recently was looking through the app and realized I never got my September package. They quickly replied to my issue and promptly sent me a new package with the same (or similar) items. 10/10 on the customer service!
I joined back up for Ipsy Glam Bag. The price is now a total of $7 more per month and the items were pathetic! I wound up canceling after 2 bags. What a shame that something that I was once so good has gotten disgraceful. A big waste of money!
They overcharge your account and its extremely difficult to get your money back! First issue I had was I was getting billed twice. They have no phone number which makes it extremely difficult to get in contact with them. When I finally got in contact with them they refused to refund me my money. I didn't want to deal with them so I cancelled my order online. After cancelling they continued sending me bags and charging me. Even though, my account showed as cancel online. I contacted them multiple times always been told that their would cancel my account. After contacting them multiple times, they stop sending my the bags but continue charging my bank account. Finally, I had to file a claim with my bank to stop payment and file a report. If you have a billing issue just go through your bank account and report them. They will just give you the run around and keep charging your card.
This company is a scam and the only way to get your refund is to bombard them with emails, multiple social media posts, report to bbb, open a dispute with PayPal or your credit card company. They delete complaints so don't give up! People have reported used products. This company plays favorites to people with large social media followings.
This is the biggest rip off I've seen. They tell you how easy it is to cancel your membership, but they make it so difficult to do. You have to jump thru hoops to cancel. They mislead you and continue to collect your money. They are a fraud. Do Not become a member. Stay away!
I was charged and never recieved my first and only bag so I canceled. I tried reaching out to them on multiple platforms and they gave me a fake email over IG to reply to. Completely bogus and un professional. Do not give these people your money.
I thought it was a good deal, the only thing I got that I won't use is the Luna highlighter. I will use the eyeliner and the under eye makeup, I also got eye shadow so I can't complain. I didn't have to wait to long to get my first Glam Bag. Looking forward to the next one..
I'm quite certain i fully canceled subscription yet got another package. I'm trying to login now and can't get in. Asking for new password but nothing sent--not in spam or email. DON'T GET SUCKED IN. Go buy your products in person and skip the nightmare online.
Tip for consumers:
i can't recommend it

Rec'd three packages of various items i will not use. It's an unending membership impossible to cancel.
First bag was fine. Then samples got smaller and smaller and when i told them what i didnt like. Thats exactly what i recieved,, why fill out evaluations if you dont abide by our preference.? And they send you REPEATS! And lots of hair products Yuck! Im done with Ipsy.!
I started receiving and being billed for "refreshments" that I didn't sign up for. I tried to cancel but am still being billed and sent merchandise. Don't sign up for this unless you are ready to change your debit card when they won't stop billing you.
I was very excited to receive my ipsy bag... But the Trust Fund Beauty nail polish arrived shattered. Everything in my bag was covered in purple nail polish and when I opened my bag... Nail polish covered my shirt and leggings. I'm disappointed that I won't be able to use the product and that my outfit was ruined.
DON'T DO IT! Forget ever being able to communicate with a real person. Once they zap your money out of your account, you are on your own. I paid for but did not receive merchandise for 2 months--not just Ipsy Glam Bag, but also Refreshments. On my account, online Ipsy commented that I would not receive merchandise because the payment was declined. At the same time, I was looking at my bank statement where payments had been deducted. When I tried to get a refund, here is the message I received: We are sorry to hear that you are requesting a refund. IPSY is unable to cancel or modify orders once placed, or offer refunds, returns, or exchanges, but we'll always do our best to help with any concerns that come up during your membership. Oh, really? HOW ARE YOU GOING TO "HELP" when you already said no refunds, returns, or exchanges and you won't speak to your customers?
Tip for consumers:
Unless you want more and more $$ deducted from your account every month and have no control over it, don't do it

I never received the products
I received an item that was damaged and I wasn't aware until after I used it and had thrown away the box. I signed into my account and found where to get help with the issue. It was so easy and taken care of immediately! I love my Ipsy boxes! Thank you so much!
I love my ipsy subscription. It's like Christmas every month! I never pay attention to specific dates for when it's coming though. It always shows up. So I don't bother tracking it. The products are well worth the cost. Usually when I look up the products to buy a second one, I realize they cost more than the subscription. I also cancelled it once (due to being a students and not being able to justify the cost at that point.) No issues. I cancelled it for a few months. And when I was ready to subscribe again I got to skip the waitlist. I've recommended it to a few people and they all love it. So I guess we might just be some of the lucky ones?
If I could give them zero stars I would. Their make up was broken, you could literally get it for a lot less money than what they charge. It's the ugliest make up ever, and their customer service suck. They wouldn't even replace it! They are the worst company ever! They also scam people who complete surveys for them. They will have you complete a survey for 48 min and disqualify you for no reason at the end. I will continue to write bad reviews for this company until the day I die.
Tip for consumers:
Don't buy from them!!!

Received December bag sealed crooked I didn't.fell out.Notified ipsy said I would be getting a replacement December bag for my problem from my trouble since they were Christmas presents. Today received just a bag nothing inside just a drawstring bag ipsy doesn't listen to your profiles they send you whatever they want to think twice about getting involved with ypsy..
I ordered an ipsy package back in mid January 2020 and it was supposed to be here by February 10-29 2020. I paid with my credit card that had about $20.00 on it, after i purchased my ipsy package i had about $5.00 left on that same card, and they are trying to say my card was invalid and they could not get any money or anything out of my card and they are trying to charge me again. Now they are refusing to give me my money back.
I look forward every month to receiving my Glam Bag, however I have noticed every month it takes longer and longer to receive my bag. Payment is taken from my account on the 1st of the month, today is the 21st, and I still have not received my June bag. I would prefer if they took their payment when the bag ships. I am thinking of cancelling my subscription.
I ordered 4 items... 1 was the wrong color product and the other 3 took FOREVER TO GET HERE and I spent more in shipping than i spent on products! When I emailed them about my problem I was confronted with a whole lot of not their problem. Most definitely will not use ipsy shopper again. So far glam bag was awesome but they seriously need help in customer service
I am getting very very frustrated. I am trying to cancel my membership and the instructions they provide to you are not there. Please help me in this. I will never recommend this company again to anyone. There is no phone number to call anyone. I just want to cancel my membership NOW!
I love Ipsy. I love the samples and quality of samples they provide. I even love the bags. They have the most incredible customer service. My bag never arrived and they were very quick to replace it for me. I will always use Ipsy!
They sent me 4 repeat items in 1 month. Emails me back and says they don't send repeat items however they don't show where they sent me the items before: I sent them screenshots where they had. They just did not want to make good. Also kept saying to complete question and review products to get matched better I do did and the items I say I don't ever want or I review and hate that's what they keep sending me:
Ipsy still takes double money every month since december after cancellation of membership. I haven't received any bags and they make it impossible to contact them to stop this. PATHETIC company,, SCAM!
I was paying for the glam bag plus (so $25 a month). I wasn't super happy with anything that came in the bag and did not think it was worth $25. So I canceled my subscription. However, I have just been notified that I will be getting a June bag. For some reason, my card info is still on there and I have no way of removing it. I have lost my job due to the pandemic and decided my money would be better used elsewhere (like groceries). I also am unable to call customer service for immediate help because Ipsy doesn't have that option. I have already been charged for the June bag despite the fact that I did cancel a month ago. I will be contacting my bank to block future charges from this company. So incredibly annoyed over this entire situation.
Tip for consumers:
Don't.
I'm not sure why they even make you go through beauty preferences. I had Ipsy delivered 3 times, and all 3 times 4 out of 5 items were those I did not indicate in my preferences. Plus they send me the same type products that I need. 3 red glosses, 3 pink blushes... Non of them were in my preferences, but if you decide to send it anyway, do you really have to send it 3 times in a raw? Now I have a bunch of stuff I can't use. Unsubscribing.
I finally cashed in my bonus points after saving them. I waited until there was an item I really wanted. Then they decided to pick the same exact item for me to send me two of the exact same thing. I saved up and used my points on something they were going to give me anyway. No care went into my bag. It wasn't a bonus. It feels like bags are totally random. They couldn't even be bothered to not send me two of the exact same item. Also many months I kept getting things I said I didn't want on the quiz or in my reviews. Sometimes for consecutive months the same brand and item in different colors. I highly doubt it's personalized at all.
I joined in July and got that bag late with samples that I could get for free at Sephora. Now my August bag is missing in action. I have emailed Ispy's customer service and they assured me I would get my bag any day. A week later they said I would get it that day or the next. Nope, still no bag. I emailed again and they are going to ship another bag out in 5 to 10 days but I need to be aware that they run out of most items so they would have to put something together. What a waste of time and money.
