I came in here to shout out the IPSY customer service. I have been a loyal IPSY user for 6+ years. The basic glam bag is plenty for me since I like to try items before I buy full size. Throughout the years I have had some problems with items (wrong shade, lost packages, late delivery, etc) and they have compensated those issues promptly and with understanding. Just recently was looking through the app and realized I never got my September package. They quickly replied to my issue and promptly sent me a new package with the same (or similar) items. 10/10 on the customer service!
I joined back up for Ipsy Glam Bag. The price is now a total of $7 more per month and the items were pathetic! I wound up canceling after 2 bags. What a shame that something that I was once so good has gotten disgraceful. A big waste of money!
I subscribed to this service for four months for my teenage daughter. We filled out the profile to indicate she is only interested in makeup samples, not skincare. In the four months we received bags, she got NUMEROUS repeat products, and there was occasionally ONE makeup item per bag. Three out of four orders had missing items. The price is also deceiving as they claim it is $13 per month but add several fees that make it about $18 per month. The size of most of these skincare items are so small they should have been FREE, and besides a 13 year old should not be using retinol eye creams (which we received THREE TIMES!) and other adult anti aging products. The whole point of this service is to customize to what is appropriate for the user- yeah they don't even look at that. What a total waste. Customer care also a joke. Had to take it up with my credit card company.

I have been subscribed to IPSY for over 2 years on and off. I get a lot of products I don't like many times throughout the year despite giving back feedback and doing the profile. I am tired of giving away 2/3 of my bag. The samples can be from any brand which I like but wish more international brands would come on board.
Normally I would give ipsy 5 stars. I love their products and it's always worth way more than I pay but their customer service sucks. I haven't received my bag from them this month and I've reached out to them multiple times and they have absolutely refused to do anything about it. I'm pissed that they just dismiss my complaints. There is no phone number to call them, just email, and it's clear they don't want to help. If I have even one more issue with them, they will lose my business which sucks because their products are good. But I won't support a business that dismisses their customers.
Did not get my last bags in the mail and I've tried to contact support. They will not refund me and will only replace a bag before 45 days. Ali, is terrible and very dismissive. I requested a Supervisor and nothing... dead space. This happens every time and why it has taken me so long to speak with someone about this issue. They never escalate it. I simply needed a refund but now I will cancel my membership.
I've been a member of Boxycharm since 2016 and wasn't surprised when they partnered or merged with Ipsy. After the Ipsy price hike and less for more shift such as small sized one-off come and go brands I canceled and stuck with the monthly full size Boxycharm. I began to notice things changing about 6 months ago. First, they started letting us choose 3 items (which I love!) but they began sending things I didn't choose. Often. Just weird. I complained about it but nothing happened, nothing changed. So I made a public review of the wrong product they sent hoping someone, anyone, would make the selections we choose be the ones that actually come. Well, I'm guessing someone saw it because this month I did not receive my email to build my box. I logged in to check because it's time to pick the selections and it showed my card payment had declined. No email, no alert, no nothing. So I "updated" my payment method (which hadn't changed) and yet it went through so I'm assuming Ipsy saw my review, got pissed and messed with my account? Because my card hasn't changed, it was as though they just declined the payment. I re-entered the payment and it went through just fine. If that really happened, that's sociopath stuff. I was just trying to get some help to get the products I had selected and my account gets messed with? Really?
It took me 1 month to receive my "Glam Bag" and cost me $20 something CAD! What I receive is a joke. I have attached screenshots of the email they sent me showing what kinda glam I should expect to receive and the picture is what I actually received (you can tell the size comparing to a computer mouse)! Couple of tiny tiny samples they most probably got for free! The biggest one is a shower scrub!
Bad for you guys that wanna make quick money and be out of business as your customers won't trust you no more! Great idea but super scammy and sneaky way to operate and to do business.
Have updated my review as I have received many Glam Bags now and I love them! Not every product is a winner for me but I really do enjoy getting them every month. I haven't purchased lip gloss or eye shadow in months. Maybe my first bag was "meh" but overall I am very pleased.
I will never subscribe again. I paid for August and didn't receive box nor did I receive my accommodation box. This is a scam. Glam bot won't help and no customer service to help. They will not return my membership fee, even though I didn't reviewer 1 item from them.

I never received the first two glam bags, and have received nothing so far but they already charged my credit card. SO I cancelled my membership, then they told me I actually have TWO memberships (I never took out a second membership with them). They said they would cancel that for me also. However, still have not received a single product from this business. The tracking numbers they send you, there is no information on them other than it's a tracking number but does not say whether your bag is in transit. There is something fishy about it. After reading other reviews online, I should have not dealt with this business to begin with.
Tip for consumers:
Do not use IPSY.

I never received the products at all that I ordered, and have no information that they were ever delivered according to the "tracking numbers" they gave me.
Thank you all girls for writing these very useful reviews. I randomly found this website and finish all the questions, and I was about to subscribe. Suddenly I just thought, wait, I have to check the reviews first, and almost all of you said they keep charging credit cards even it's unsubscribe. Thanks god I read these and didn't subscribe. Trust a bigger company or at least a famous one is always the better decision.
I personally had ipsy for two months. Now, a lot of you probably think that isn't long enough to write a review. Well, when I got my first bag, I was ecstatic! I opened my bag and was immediately disappointed. The product sizes are WAY too small! The blush that came, I loved loved love it, but the sample was smaller than a penny. It was so hard to use! Then my next month came, and i got the exact same items, except for one, but just different brands and colors. I'm not paying this company to send me repetitive items over again. Also, my too-faced mascara came, which I was stoked about, completely dry. It does not work even a little bit.
Now, I'm not here to bash on ipsy because it is a good company, with an extremely fair price, just not for me. I was dissatisfied by what I was receiving, and probably will not be going back.
Hi Kelsey. Sorry to hear you didn't love your ipsy subscription. All Glam Bags are at least worth $30, and are worth about $55 on average. If a couple of items are smaller, we always make sure to even our your bag assortment with more high-value or full-sized items. If you decide to subscribe in the future, please reach out to ipsyCare to help personalize your Glam Bag. We're testing a few new features that we're very excited about!
In addition, please email support@ipsy.com so we can issue a replacement for the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara that you received!
I've been a loyal member since the beginning but recently IPSY has gone downhill fast! They don't ship anything out for at least a month after you purchase it and then it takes another two weeks to get it in the mail, it's absolutely ridiculous! I've also noticed they keep sending repeat items that I've already received all the crap stuff and you can't get a hold of alive person ever and they make it next to impossible to cancel your membership is extremely frustrating and there's no excuse for how slow they're shipping is, none! All the other companies are shipping out items just fine. IPSY is just greedy now and doesn't want to hire enough staff to fulfill the orders so it takes months for us to receive items which is TOTALLY unacceptable! I'm canceling my membership because of this and I hope other people do too! Time to teach them a lesson!
Tip for consumers:
Terrible service takes a month and a half just to receive your items

Missing a bag. I have emailed and no response week after week. I originally cancelled but I guess they choose who gets to cancel and money refunded.the samples are what you can get at any cosmetic store for free. I know the missing bag is only 10 bucks but it's the fact that they won't acknowledge my request for it.
I have been trying to cancel this subscription for a long time. The Company has no phone call customer service. The e-mail address I used to open the account is an old work e-mail I no longer have access to so I can't retrieve my password. My credit card company gave me a phone number for them which is "no longer in service". I moved out of state last December and have not received the product since. I'm still getting monthly recurring charges. I would advise anyone not to do business with this company.
I purchased a glam bag for $16.13 on October 3rd and I never received it. These people fail to communicate or notify people of when their expected delivery date is. I will never trust this company again and I hope people think twice about doing the same. They are a bunch of rip offs!
Tip for consumers:
Don't be a fool and give your card info to these unprofessional scammers! Never received my order and never got a refund!

Its ok at the beginning but the items get less and less and on top of that Ive been trying to cancel my subscription for 4 months and its still coming. Impossible to talk or email anyone, there is no live person only bots
Signed up in good faith. Ipsy was more then happy to take my payment out of my account on 01/28/2016. It stands as of now, I still have not received my February Ipsy bag. Today is 02/22/2016. They email response to me with a tracking on 02/15. I guess this should teach me to not order on-line...
Loved ipsy at first, but there sending products I can't use, I've asked for more reddish lipstick, different eyeshadow, all I'm getting is Gold, more gold, and more gold. Ready to Cancel. Lol bags r cute
I've had Ipsy for years! I used to love it! You get amazing products for an amazing deal! But recently, I don't know what's been going on. The last couple of months they take forever to ship out my bag. Then when my bag actually gets here half of the stuff is missing because they took so long to actually pack it. When you contact them telling them that something is missing they literally just tell you we're sending some thing else out. You don't get to pick or anything. It's completely pointless, if they're going to send me whatever they want instead of the things that I actually want. I'm waiting to receive my bag and if there's more than one thing missing I'm canceling it at this point. It's not worth it anymore. It's the 18 and my bag is not even shipped.

Be prepared to be disappointed.

I was excited to get my glam bag by IPSY but dissatisfied with the tiny sizes. My daughters Birch Box was much better. Birch had 3-4 more samples and larger sizes. I'll give them another month and see if this was just a fluke.
Wish I had read up these reviews before subscribing. After signing up I got informed id be put on a wait list. I saw this company from a commercial on tv. Don't advertise if you don't have enough products to back it up & then to get off a wait lost, they want you to advertise for them so more people can sign up and be put on hold? What a scam. I'll stick with Birchbox.
I signed up for an Ipsy subscription and then moved so had an address change partway through. They started charging me twice for each of my bags. Despite numerous emails (they don't have a phone) I never received a refund.
Just got yet another ipsy bag, they sent me things that went perfectly with my preferences, I think they hit the nail on the head, they would get 5 stats, but... they take forever to ship, that's my only negative...
I signed up for the $12. Monthly glam bag and never received it. When I tried to inquire about the missing bag there was no access to any customer service to report the missing bag and they charged my account again for the next month. So these people are just taking my money not sending anything. If you were thinking about doing this... do not. They're ridiculous!
I loved this! Once my bag was a few days late but other than that its been a very good year for me. I love these products and it is a wonderful idea. It is great for people who still want to explore makeup and waste a lot of money by buying a product that you may not use quite as much or is wrong for you. Love it!
