I came in here to shout out the IPSY customer service. I have been a loyal IPSY user for 6+ years. The basic glam bag is plenty for me since I like to try items before I buy full size. Throughout the years I have had some problems with items (wrong shade, lost packages, late delivery, etc) and they have compensated those issues promptly and with understanding. Just recently was looking through the app and realized I never got my September package. They quickly replied to my issue and promptly sent me a new package with the same (or similar) items. 10/10 on the customer service!
I joined back up for Ipsy Glam Bag. The price is now a total of $7 more per month and the items were pathetic! I wound up canceling after 2 bags. What a shame that something that I was once so good has gotten disgraceful. A big waste of money!
I have been trying to contact Ipsy.com for about a week now. I am helping an elderly man because someone is charging products to his bank card. He never ordered beauty products. Ipsy doesn't have a phone number to call anymore and everything is done by email. In the meantime, it is taking 2-3 days for them to respond to my emails and they say the same things. Sorry for your wait and that is about it. I just want to know where the products are being sent and to cancel this man's account with them.
Be cautious when using Ipsy because I believe that it is incredibly hard to cancel your account or get any sort of information.
I can't actually review on product or service as I have never received either. I have been a member for about 6 months and not one drop of product has ever come through, don't even get tracking numbers to pretend I'm getting something. They still get my money every month though. This has got to be a complete scam and the website is a joke. I am so angry at this joke of a company. I hope they read this because I no longer have anything better to do then get my money back and make sure everyone knows this business is not legit. I got a new short blond hairdo and renamed myself Karen, it's go time!
I used to order Ipsy a long time ago. They always send me spam emails. I clicked on one of the emails today and it instantly charged me for a new membership. The delivery address is to my old house and the card it charged became over drafted. They use extremely manipulative UI and purposefully try to trick people into purchasing their product. Even when I went through their chat bot to request a refund, they kept switching the chat button with a button that said nevermind so I kept accidentally cancelling my request like 5 times. Disgusting company, who's developers obviously have no morals.
I signed up for Ipsy about a month Go in hopes of receiving my products soon. As of today I was charged twice, still with no products! Like seriously, if you are going to take someone's money at least send them a "go to hell" note!
Why are you not allowing your customers to cancel their membership? Before I used to come back to IPSY because its not expensive but what do you get for the price? There are so many more better seasonal subscriptions in which you get such a good quality products, not samples that you'll never use! Very greedy and unprofessional!
I just received my first glam bag today. I was eagerly awaiting its delivery and actually checking the mail depot every day, we don't have door delivery anymore in Canada. I did my research, looked at tons of happy customers with their glam bags displayed and read reviews saying that people were charged long after cancelling. When I called them on the "wait list" being social media blackmail, as you have to bother your FB contacts, the list disappeared. They did not address my concerns about being charged after two queries, so I am just going to contact my credit card company directly.
What did I see in the happy pics? Full sized products. What did I get? Products so small I can barely hold them and I have small hands. The only full size product was a brow pencil. Everyone who loves them says it's only 10 bucks, but I live in Canada, so with the shipping and dismal exchange rate right now, it's 20$. I can get full sized products on sale for less and get exactly what I want.
In today's current world, there are many times that you may have to change your debit/credit card number for your banking account. Why is it that the 1st assumption ipsy made when they could not charge my card was there were no funds to cover the $10 glam bag. Not only was it the sent once but over 4 times. I guess it was a blessing in disguise because otherwise I would be up here telling the same story others are; how ipsy will not cancel my subscription. My sister turned me on to ipsy, we have very different makeup taste and I am sure we did very different questionnaires, most months we had the exact same items. I dud have my subscription 10 or 11 months. I am glad my debit card number was changed by my financial institution!
Tip for consumers:
Out of 10 or 11 months there were maybe 5 products out of 50 - 60 that were actually things that fit my answers on my questionnaire.
Yes, sure almost everyone likes the excitement of getting their boxes! But when you want to cancel your subscription that's a whole different thing! I cancelled on February 21st the same time as boxycharm. Here it is May and I'm still trying to get ipsy cancelled! "What the hell!" The day after I cancelled, Meng emailed me with a message that they're sorry to see me go story. I saved the email and have sent that email back to prove when I cancelled, but no they don't read it! I'm sick and tired of trying! I've come to believe that it's not a person I'm dealing with, but a computerized robot! So, I'm just going to do something dramatic!
Their products are third world and God only knows what's in them. I cancelled after paying for three bags. They only sent me two bags and it's been a fight to get a refund for the bag I never got. I wish I had read other reviews before making my initial purchase. Trust me, buy your cosmetics from either a dept. store or CVS.

None, it's all poor quality.
For me it's super exciting to pick, try, discover new makeup and cosmetics. Although I discovered fabulous products that I would not have discovered on my own, it's been a huge disappointment to have an issue with just about every delivery. Either they arrive very late, not at all, products are missing, and I got a bit fed up have it to email them every month. Prepare to be frustrated if you join.

Refund for missing products I paid for, but only if you let them know they were missing
I used this company for over a year and loved it so much I upgraded my bag to the glam plus in Feb. 2021 and also bought a make-up palette. I've been charged monthly now for not one but BOTH subscriptions and have received ZERO merchandise since placing my order and being charged for my monthly bag(s) since Feb 2. This company is literally impossible to reach since the chat is simply an automated response stating I haven't received my item due to extended shipping times because of covid. I can't find a number to contact them or speak to an actual person. The automated chat stated they don't offer refunds so I'm now having to dispute $118.72 in charges with my credit card company. I feel that this company is a scam now and would highly advise against using them to save yourself the headache down the road.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use

Not worth 10$ and the whole long personalization process is pointless cause they don't use it. All of the products I received were nothing close to flattering on my skin complexion. Also the products are cheap and good for maybe 1 use. I would recommend birch box if you want a beauty box with bigger items and worth your money
I had subscribed to the Ipsy box for 4 months before I gave it up. That was 4 boxes of basically unrelated, unwanted products that did not fit my "Style profile" in the slightest. I mean really, did they even bother matching my profile to the products sent? I am tan with dark features and received a products that did not show up on my skin or made me look like a clown. There was one box that had practically all foil samples. Another bag was missing two items! Out of all the products I received, I only ended up liking 1 of items. I'm subscribed to Birchbox and the quality and relevancy of the products are so much better than what Ipsy has to offer. Oh, one more thing, even if you cancel and ask (repeatedly) to be removed from the waiting list, you will probably still get the e-mails. No, I am not interested in re-subscribing, leave me alone.
I have never experienced worse customer service, and I am a former Sprint customer. You can't really call the "Glam Bot" customer service. There is no real person to speak with and you can only use their suggestive text to express your concerns. I cancelled my subscription on November 1 and was charged twice on November 3. No, Glam Bot, one is not a pending charge. They have both cleared my bank. Do not get caught in the Ipsy trap. The products you receive will never be worth the hassle of trying to cancel your subscription. It. Is.A. Joke.
Tip for consumers:
That I shouldn’t have signed up at all.

It is sample make up
We enrolled in a glam bag a month that was nothing like the brand name products they show online. Instead it was mostly an unknown line called "refreshments" which may be their own brand they are trying to push.
Not only that, after canceling our membership as soon as we got the first garbage bag, we were mysteriously enrolled in a recurrent monthly replenishment of more of their "refreshments" products which we also had to cancel. *** They did refund me after I cancelled the recurring "refreshments" products. I added an extra star (now 2 stars) for the refund which they gave me without having to jump through hoops. Thanks.
Tip for consumers:
Please save yourself, stay away from this subscription

Customer service refuses to make up for when it is their fault. Selecting after pay it will just charge you full amount and they don't correct it. Over priced and they scam you with things and their quality went way down after boxy charm. Better off not ever going through this hassle they are thieves
Tip for consumers:
Horrible company. Fraud and theft. Scam. Sad I've recommended this for years to people

Scam with products and charging and refusing to give refunds when it is their fault
I'm really not interested in getting their products anymore, want to cancel my membership but it's really been Mission impossible. I don't know what to do from here but I guess I'll have to take it up with the bank somehow and block them.
Tip for consumers:
Once you get an account you can't get out

I had a subscription for about 3 years. The quality and service have gone down tremendously. You will start to get leftovers from a year or 2 ago. How long has this product been sitting around? They do not use the personalization you fill out, they merely dump any cheap stuff they have lying around on you. The "choose your item" is a scam to let you down. They don't have it in stock. Just why?
I was so disappointed by my first (and now last) glam bag! The cosmetic bag was ugly. The samples were very tiny. Two of the items didn't match my profile. Only one was a brand I knew. I don't mind an occasional unknown brand, but not 4 out of 5! Even if I'd liked every item, the whole thing was not worth $10. I watched a lot of videos about ipsy and am convinced all the positive reviews were paid and they received a bag much nicer than what you really get!
Never got my first glam Bag plus was promised I would be getting another one. Never got my shipping notice after a week contacted them again and they sent me a fake Link to track my new package. So It's been almost 12 days and still nothing has shipped I'm guessing there goes my much needed money is gone to a sketchy company. I use to love ipsy but never again
My January bag never arrived, after 5 emails back and forth (took them 3 weeks to reorder) I was told that because I don't live in the continental us it takes longer (I live in seattle)-after 2 years all of a sudden it takes longer and they no longer update tracking? Secondly, customer service cancelled my subscription without my permission (was waiting until after February's bag). Thirdly, I think the samples they are getting must be out of date or expired-a lot of the lipsticks and glosses I got tasted old I updated my profile to not get them anymore and threw them out. Going to try birchbox.
I had to wait for a month for them to send my glam bag and who knows if it will ever come. The customer service doesn't wanna do anything about it. I haven't received no apology whatsoever. Very disappointed.
Very poor customer service. Was charged for a bag that I did not receive. I emailed them 4 times, no response. Tried to use their website to cancel which I could not do, so cancelled credit card. Stay away.
I placed an order before reading further and finding out that they cannot guarantee cruelty free items. I tried to cancel within the 5 minutes I opened the account, and received confirmation from a service agent. Months later I am still paying for this subscription and no one in customer service will help me. I guess I will have to just cancel my credit card at this point? I would not recommend this to anyone, and judging by the other reviews, I see I'm not alone.
I signed up expecting full size items, but it turned out that they were samples. Not ll were brand name as stated, so that was also a disappointment. I have a hard time paying get for samples you can walk into most major department store, call company on phone or email to get free samples. I'd rather pay a higher price for full size items than same of the same.
